Then maybe a free and open forum isn't for you, mate Edit: Not going to waste my time on a hateful troll.

Debate the point, not the person. It doesn't matter if the person has ulterior motives, as long as what the person is saying has merits. If you disagree with a person, then prove the person wrong by pointing out the flaws in what they say, not by attacking whatever they have said in the past or on other subreddits.

Yeah, why not? It is just a label after all. I don't mind if a woman focuses on her issues, as long as she doesn't diminish men's issues. There is fair criticism and improvements to be had all around society.

Ever notice how rarely non-mutilated men go: "Yeah, I think I will cut off a part of my penis"? I mean if it is such a good thing, you don't mind letting them wait until they are 18 to make such a decision, right?

I don't generally use titles to describe my beliefs, but rather say I am in favour of equal rights and let people draw their own conclusions. But there wasn't really any one time I became aware of men's issues, but rather as you grow up and learn more about the world: brick by brick, the realization builds up. Sometimes I agree with MRA's, sometimes I agree with feminists. The world isn't black or white. There are legitimate injustices regarding both genders. But as a society, sadly we only care…

Men are the disposable gender, as simple as that. No one cares about men. Male suicide rates? Meh. Male workplace deaths? Meh. Men die... Women most affected.
/r/MensRights09/04/23 02:08 PM

Sounds dubious. Mind giving me a source for that? Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me much if men would have a slightly higher survival rate during a disaster, where physical fitness is a benefit. But 14 times? That seems a bit high. Also, aren't modern feminist's always saying they can do anything a man can do? They want equality, they get equality. Furthermore, men's lives are just as important as women's lives. But sadly society does not care about men.

Build yourself up and become strong and competent. Then if she needs your help in the future, laugh in her face. You don't owe it to anyone but yourself to put your life in order. People are cruel because they get away with it. We need to hold people accountable (through legal ways, naturally).

I know. I have been warned of spreading hate by Reddit because I believe that all humans have the same rights, and not special rights. It is a cesspool. Edit: Well technically I was warned for not agreeing that X are human rights. Well I believe X have human rights, but not that X are human rights, since that would mean that 1=2. But yeah, it is apparently a hate crime just to disagree. Fuck 'em. All humans have human rights, no more, no less.

Honestly, I think Jordan Peterson's 12 rules apply to all stages of life, so yeah, those. Don't take shit, don't give shit, be fair to those who are fair to you. Never feel that you owe shit to other people. You owe it to yourself to do your best and take responsibility for yourself. And stay away from crazy people.

Stop trying to troll. You are not any good at it. I believe that bullshit should be called out. But you and your opinion matters less than nothing. Go around and have your wimpy opinions if you so desire, but don't waste our time with it.

Toxic masculinity primarily enforced by women, you mean? Because women are typically the ones that insult and belittle men that show emotions. Many women, though not all, both want to have the cake and eat it too. Maybe you should rather call out "toxic femininity" then for causing these issues, rather than the men merely for confirming to their expectations.
/r/MensRights17/02/23 06:03 PM
12

Sorry but no. I honestly don't care about what other people consider toxic masculinity or not. Also, the list is flat out wrong. Defining masculinity is rather difficult, but at its core it is about stoicism, duty, hard work, etc. In short, don't take shit, live your life in a way that warrants respect and likewise give respect to other people who earn it. A physically weak man can be masculine, if he has a strong spine. And being a door mat, as you seem to imply is "positive masculinity", is no…

Be clear about what you want and expect in a relationship, and if she doesn't accept it then that is her choice. Manipulative bullshit has no place in a relationship, but some people don't know any better, so it is fair to give them one warning.

I don't remember the exact numbers but I usually counter with something along the lines of stating that we don't know the exact number of false rape accusations, but we know that only a small minority of false accusations are prosecuted so the actual number is probably far higher. Turn the tables on them and watch as their own flawed reasoning is turned on them

Good cops stop bad cops, yes. It's the system perfect? No. But they do a decent job. In addition we have other systems in place to hold police accountable. Consent is important for everyone. Equal rights for everyone.
/r/MensRights06/10/22 03:10 PM
1

It depends on the feminist/what type of feminism. Some feminists are quite egalitarian. Consent is important. Equal rights, equal responsibilities, etc. Feminism is a very wide umbrella of different ideologies, and some of them are rather toxic while others are quite sensible. It is also why I don't consider myself a feminist since I don't want to be associated with the crazy, just as I don't call myself an MRA since they also have their share of crazy.

Why do you hang out with these people? Just leave. If they are toxic then even more reason to leave. Focus on yourself and be a strong stoic, rather than a whiny entitled... Because by God, you sound entitled and whiny as fuck. No one owe anything to you. Just leave if they don't offer what you want, that is your only right.

The rules should be enforced, and if the rules are lax enough to allow shitty posts, then the rules should be reconsidered and remade, so we get a discussion climate where people are free to express their opinions, but where the purpose of this subreddit is maintained.

Again, you do not get to decide if other people should consent or not. Why is this so difficult to understand? YOU DO NOT DECIDE IF OTHER PEOPLE SHOULD CONSENT OR NOT. Seriously, why is this so difficult to understand? You can disagree with the reason all you want, but it is really simple: If X does not consent because of some reason T, and If Y still forces X to have sex, Then it is rape. Whether or not we agree with the reason T is fucking irrelevant. What is relevant is that X did not fucking…

If a person agrees to use a condom then yeah, it isn't rape. Just as if the couple agree not to use a condom. Look, I will put this as simple as I can: Listen, bitch, you do not get to decide if other people consent or not. That is their choice, not yours. You do not get to decide what nonconsent is "rational" or "equivalent" or whatever. Just because you disagree with the reasons behind their nonconsent does not mean you can force them to consent. Cat fish?
/r/MensRights17/04/22 09:46 AM
2

Maybe or maybe not. And yes, if the people involved strongly disagree on whether to wear a condom or not, then they shouldn't have sex. But if X says that he refuses to wear a condom, and Y insists on a sexual intercourse with a condom anyway, then that would be rape, no? Since X never consented. Much like if Y says that he/she refuses to have sex without a condom, then if X insists on having sex without a condom... well, then that would also be rape, no? It is same thing. No boundary or prefere…

/r/MensRights16/04/22 08:43 PM

If you force someone to sex when they don't want to because of some circumstance or circumstances, then yes, it is rape. Consent can be quite conditional. Only vaginal, only anal, only oral, only with condom, only without condom, etc. Etc.
/r/MensRights16/04/22 07:46 PM
4

Again, no. If X wants sex with and only with a condom, and Y only wants sex without and only without a condom, then neither boundary overrule the other one. It just means that there isn't any sex. You never get to overrule other people's boundaries just because you think you know better. That is rape.
/r/MensRights16/04/22 08:30 AM
2

A single "No" always overrules any amount of "Yes". Everyone has a right to decline sex, period. There is no if, there is no but.... So if a person does not consent to sex if his winkie is covered, then no sex it is, unless the partner also agrees to it. Consent, basics

I think I have rather balanced views. Regarding sexuality I believe in your bedroom, your business. No. I don't like such simple labels. It gets between you and whatever issue you are trying to discuss. There are women's rights issues around the world, just as there are men's rights issues around the world. It isn't black or white. If there is merit to an argument, who cares if the argument is "on my side" or not. What I care about is the truth. What I would like is a world with equal rights and where no one is treated like shit because of their sex, skin colour, etc. But rather judged by the …

No, why would it? People are different and gender differences do exist, both biological and cultural. An unequal outcome does not prove that the system is unfair. Maybe the outcome is skewed in some manner become because men or women voluntarily pursue different things. However, it is also possible that to some extent there are sexist systems in place, however that needs to be proven beyond "not 50/50, ergo not equal". Why? You just don't think it is funny, is that it? Genital mutilation is worse than rape. Both are heinous crime, don't get me wrong, but genital mutilation is worse. If you think stuff like that can be said in jest, then go for it. Just don't get upset when other people say equivalent stuff.
/r/MensRights16/06/21 04:25 PM

When a group kills members of its own group... People generally don't care. Black on black crime, men on men crime, etc. But sometimes, people do care when it is politically convenient. Big and tall? Where did this "tall" come from? Now I have heard obese men described as "big", at least if they are tall in addition to being obese, which is definitely more flattering than just "fat". But likewise women are sometimes described as big.

You don't need to forgive them. They mutilated you. It is as simple as that. No matter what other good things your parents have done it doesn't undo this. However, you do need to move on. This father is a hero. He is doing this to protect his son. It is a matter of protecting another human being from being mutilated. Now, if the son wants to have a circumcision when he is adult, then that it his choice. But he should be given that choice.

What the f..... Have you complained about it to the school? You can, if you want, lodge a complaint that you want it taken down on the grounds that it is sexist and discriminatory against boys. If you complain, btw., you should also give a written copy of your complaint. Otherwise it can easily be "Sullen kid whines, leaves, soon forgotten". Be articulate, polite, insistent. After all, being calm and solid-as-a-rock are masculine traits ;)

What adult men do to their bodies is their business. But circumcision is male genital mutilation, without a doubt. People defend it because it they realised how horrific it actually is, they would feel... guilt. So they justify it in their minds, latching onto any justification.

Yep. A fractured fist is not fun. And killing the assailant just because of a punch or an unlucky fall is also... not fun. People underestimate how fragile the human body is. It has amazing ability to heal, no doubt about that, but very fragile.

In a lot of serious self defense classes they teach you to prone/knockdown the assailant so you create a reasonable window to actually get away. Without getting too deep into a discussion about what is effective self-defence, to be honest punches are some of the least efficient forms of self-defence. There is a myriad of fragile bones in your hand that are very likely to break if you hit a hard object, like the cranium, the pelvic bone, etc. Not to mention that you can actually kill someone by p…

To be honest, the man looks munted. I am not denying that the man was probably hurting from the assault. Not to mention the emotional trauma. I think it is understandable that he snapped. It is doubtful he was in any physical danger, but he was undoubtedly hurting, at least emotionally. However, self defence is using the bare minimum of force required to protect yourself if you feel that you are in danger. To be fair, abuse is not about physical size. Or rather, the physical trauma is not the only factor. Being slapped, kicked, punched, by your partner does more than just the physical trauma. A bruise will heal, not a big deal. The sense of being violated though, the damage to your self-esteem and the sense of betrayal when the person you love hurts you, well that is another thing. Don't think that just because the victim might be bigger than the abuser, that it means that the victim isn't hurt by…

Anyway, I don't defend retaliatory violence. Leave, file a report. He was not in any danger. Now, it is true that the police, etc., are disparaging regarding female-on-male abuse.
