I don't even know what I'm looking at. Edit: Are they talking about condoms or pizza?

r/disproportionateresponses Relax man. She had to be polite and she can't flirt on the job in front of her boss. You had bad timing whether the connection was there or not. I once had a lady much younger than me engage me in a conversation in front of her grandmother. I regret not pressing for the number BUT I'm not going to fucking ask for a younger lady's number in front of her grandmother. But that's the gist of it. You'd regret it otherwise and maybe make a fool of yourself returning after t…

Ask her out 3-4 days in advance of when you want to go out. Since you clearly have a full schedule, why not just take her somewhere on a Monday or Tuesday? I.e. "celebrate the end of finals get together." Or if you're looking to go out on a weekend, then yeah you wait until Tuesday, BUT you can check in (but you don't have to.) Checking in with a joke or a playful considerate comment isn't that bad. Just don't over engage. "You studying hard or hardly studying?" She does her playful both . . . t…

Lady here, actually . :) Hey Lady! The problem is that OP isn't planting any seeds and then wondering why nothing's catching, or why the lady isn't texting him back. Just by reading his texts... they're so boring and they're not offering anything to do. Exactly. He doesn't seem fun at all. He seems like he wants her to be the fun. And at some point that's not interesting for the woman at all. Why would you leave your house, get dressed up and get pretty for a dude who then wants you to entertain…

No problem man. Yeah I'm a bit anti-nerd sometimes (maybe I'm a closet nerd in some ways.) Edit: Scratch that. I think my nerd family just over does. But I want him to get what I'm saying. It's not "What you do" it's "How you ask." "I'm at the gaming lounge. Come through it's fun!" is better than "I want to go to gaming lounge with you." And we just need to know this as men. It's hard to perfectly apply but it's the basis of succeeding with women (or as a human being in general.)

The point I make elsewhere is there's a difference between inviting someone out to join you and making a day about the other person. I.e. even in a nerd loser event like "Watching Dragon Ball Z at 4 PM;" saying "Do you want to watch DBZ at 4pm tomorrow" is weaker than "I'm watching DBZ at 4 pm, wanna crash?" You don't actually need to watch DBZ if she rejects, but the point is that one tells her "I'm doing things and I can make your life interesting" and the other is "I'm not doing anything but …

No. Tell her what you are doing and invite her to it. "I'm going to study in the coffee shop next weekend. You're welcome to come and engage in witty banter." You can't go out FOR a woman. You need to INVITE OUT a woman. There's a difference. It's like suppose you liked Anime. If I say "Do you want to watch Dragon Ball Z at 4 pm tomorrow?" versus "I'm watching Dragon Ball Z at 4 pm tomorrow wanna crash?" I'm communicating different things. Clearly my plans depend on you and I have no plans in th…

Yeah but with some smoothness. But it's good as is. Just saying show a little more personality in general.

It's the poor transition man. You just need to get a smoothie with her. You don't even segue or make it natural. It's just a random invitation. You didn't set it up at all. How can I clarify this? ... Hey. Haha, I remember our conversation. Let's go out on Tuesday at 3 PM! That's pretty much it.

And just to be clear - you said she ghosted on the convo bc I “bailed on the conversation”. Do you mean that I “didnt Move it forward/escalated”? Because I did try to keep the convo going I guess it just was just small talk, even tho I planned on trying to make plans after texting 1-2 more times after “how’s your week going?”. No, I mean you bailed mid conversation. "Lol I guess so" "Lol yeah we'll see, g2g but we'll talk more later. Have a good week" "Thanks! You too" That's a bail. What does g…

You should invite her to go somewhere you're already going; not really invite her out. Plus smoothie is weak like was already pointed out. The only thing I can say is I don't know what day or time it was (why are you censoring this?) so it may not be enough notice. Also it was a quick transition, I'll admit. But otherwise, it's nothing. Ball is in her court and either she responds or she doesn't. Go number close elsewhere and try it again. I'd probably establish an interest--or an interesting lo…

Well we discussed coffee on the 1st interaction and I'm pretty sure she's kinda conservative so prob. doing smoothies/coffee. I've had success before with that. Dude. You could beat a woman in the streets, that doesn't mean it's a good tactic. Day dates are chumpy. Not saying a day date won't work on a Sunday--but if you're going for the goal then meet up in the evening. If you're set on coffee, sure go for it--definitely follow what you're comfortable with, but 'you discussed coffee' because yo…

hahahaha. Fucking coffee dates. They work great if you're famous or have entered the level of Amused Mastery and top fitness. Until then, no. Thank you! I almost considered that nonsense today.

What do you think of this as a last resort text? “Hey X, rather not BS. Though your vibe seemed cool and wanted to grab a coffee. If you’d be open to more witty banter let me know. Otherwise enjoy the holidays “? (Or alternative: “either way, let me know” for closure) I sucked my teeth reading that. As soon as I saw that "rather not BS" I sucked my teeth. You're so "balls in your court." Come on dude. The ball is in YOUR court, not hers. Stop giving her the ball. Nevermind the typo "though", it'…

Exactly, save both of you some time. I've been indirect and got on three dates and the woman would say, "Look, are you going to make a move or not?" Whereas other women would just ghost me after the first date. Point is, some women have patience and some don't.

The reasoning for texting so much bc this set was literally like a 3 minute set and barely had any qualification or anything so I figured to text a bit more for comfort. I get that and she probably got that, but you also messed up with your 'talk later.' It wasn't even a "See you later" or "Let's get drinks later" but "Talk later." You can see how a bunch of empty talk followed by a promise of more empty talk is not sexually appealing at all. The reason I did the "we'll see, talk later" thing wa…

I think it's a core problem in our socialization as men. We were discouraged from being hyper-sexist but then we don't really text like we're texting women. So women can't actually tell whether we see them as 'women' or 'people.' You want it to be sexual otherwise how do you expect for it to be sexual? Sure we dream that the woman would make it so--and she may sometimes--but it's on us as men.

It's up to him, but don't forget that there are gay guys out there. Women have gay friends who just want to text; and weak guys who really just want to be friends. Women don't know what you're up in your head. They know that there are subtle men--but they also know that there are weak men and gay men. Facts of life.

You wrote X too much. J/k but seriously you censored everything. As to advice, I think others cover it well. You're really just chatty, unconfident and have no solid plans. Are you looking for a chat buddy or a f-- buddy? The trouble with early relationships is women aren't looking for a chat buddy at all; because there are better men who are more direct. She probably got the impression that you're just looking to chat--and lost interest. Think of how your text are different from texting a dude.…

Do you mean to escalate and push boundaries harder w the girls that approach me or the girls I’m approaching at work or both. You want to establish attraction even if subtly. For a woman to get your number then say she has a BF tells me 1 of 2 things; either you weren't clear in your intent earlier, or you texted her in all the wrong ways and she made up the bf. You might want to actually recap the text conversation. But truly, it should be clear from jump mostly because either you're establishi…

A lot of women approach you. It's smart to play safe at work; but try to number close more. Also push boundaries a little harder. Maybe you can recap conversations more than just saying you spoke to this one or that one. [Maybe the top conversation.]

Good luck. Just behave experienced. Treat her well. Get the kiss and walk her home. Make out in front of door and suggest going in with her. If you're in--have sex. If she says no, just tell her another time.

Might be the way you hover your hands over your victims as you speak? But seriously, we can't tell based off of your description. If you talk like how you describe problems, it may be that you are overly clinical without saying anything. I.e. you may be circumlocutionist. Seems like you're talkative, self-conscious and probably display too much internal monologue and artificial behavior. In that case, the advice would be to 'relax,' and not think that life is some sort of formula. Just get out t…
