I don't know, CainPrice. I am not a weirdo, not by a long shot, can make friends easily, likeable, and still not getting laid. Not ugly, just slightly overweight (and not looking for top models, obviously). If getting laid was so relatively easy as you said in your original post, this sub would not exist. For the record, I want you to be right regarding the idea that the true incels are only a small minority of fucked-up men.

So the famous 80/20 rule is not true after all?

That would be great, but is it really such transmutation really possible? I have read several guys that claim it, but when I go the NoFap route I just have wet dreams from time to time.

I don't think you are wrong but what the original quote does is to implicitly acknowledge that "players" are average-looking dudes who focus on getting laid, rather than simply "naturals" who do it effortlessly.

Good summary. What you say checks with the stuff I have read. I think the fact that the US is a huge country with a shared language allows for some important economies of scale and labor movement that are impossible in Europe but it also is very hard to rule sometimes.

Kudos to OP for the effort and how neatly it is summarized. Saving this. Sadly I am not in America so this catches me a bit off ground. From what I read on the Internet the US is full of opportunity, yet sometimes I also read about the middle class there been squeezed. Maybe some natives can chime in and give me their personal take on whether making sizeable money is relatively easy (with hard work of course) or not. Just for context, where I live (Spain), people with degrees are making $1500-20…

You are lucky, this is the best time to achieve your last paragraph... I haven't read Weininger yet, but I feel eerily close to him in his conclusions. I am also having suicidal thoughts and it is quite hard for me to snap out of a feeling of despair after looking at things from a red pill lens.

I am not shy but tend to be serious, so I don't have this natural tendence to be joking all the time, throw some sexual innuendo... I am slowly making progress though. I have pals who are better with women and basically what they do is to constantly sprinkle small jokes, some of them super basic ones... it seems to work.

I think you are mixing up different things, personal character and sexual success, even if they often come together. I have had very little success with women yet I am purpose driven and very ambitious. You can be the normiest of normies in terms of "essence" and "self-actualization" as you say above and still kill it with women. Happens all the time. Also, take into account the introversion factor. I never cared too much about social events, fads, trends and so on. Chicks love that shit, and gu…

Well, it seems you did not need TRP given your n-count... I, for instance, have only slept with a single woman without paying for it, and I have always had a pretty face. I really liked your Tesla reference, very funny and true at the same time. I have never hated women, but I do resent them for the power they command over us and above all the huge amount of time, resources, effort and so on getting laid requires. When you have lots of interests in life it really sucks to give women so much of y…

I am 30 and also partially bald, although luckily I never cared too much about it: I never did anything special with my hair anyways and I had always expected it given how many males in my family were bald. In my experience, hair matters if you want to attract young women because it makes you significantly younger. A 40 year old in shape and good hair can look like he is 30. That means that you don't look out of place where young people hang out. As I said, being bald does not affect my confiden…

I am not an American, but I grew up in a rough equivalent of a near perfect picket fence family. People like us have to adapt to the general degeneracy, even if that goes against how we were brought up. Otherwise we are primed for a lot of suffering. It is a painful process, but your mental health should be paramount, and in my opinion it demands adaptation. I have been always interested in politics and economics, yet for a while now I have not been reading much on those topics, because it depre…

That is what I thought, yeah. But in recent times I have come across lots of people saying that is not so good and so on. To be honest I prefer them to be wrong because I enjoy milk coffee and yoghourt. Something similar happens with intermittent fasting, you don't know what to do sometimes.

I have good friends and a good family, but no income of my own right now. I am preparing an important exam that will take place in January, if I pass I get a good job, if I fail I will have to actively look for one (high unemployment here in Spain). Of course having no job is a serious drawback for dating. I live with my parents, which here is way way more common than in America, but after a certain age (I'm 30 at the moment) you stand out, and not positively. Other than studying I have multiple…

You are wrong about validation. It is not about being validated, it is about missing out on a fun and exciting activity your body demands and plenty of people are doing right now. Personally, even being an incel and all that, I have never missed having a girlfriend or being in a relationship, or any sort of "emotional" connection for that matter. I just miss the carnal experiences others are gathering while I am not. I never feel lonely.

I have been following this advice. Over a year lifting, some gains already despite adverse skinny-fat genetics. However the sex is nowhere to be seen. I am 30, I am giving lifting ten years give or take to work its magic with the opposite sex... if by age 40 nothing has changed I'm out. I might keep doing some pushups at home as a token legacy effort, but no more. By the way, I am also suicidal and in my case lifting does not help with that at all. My two cents.

I disagree regarding the typical lament on the lack of male role models. Fathers in their 50s probably have no clue on how hard women can be to game these days. When I talk to mine about things like choking, spanking, etc. he refuses to believe it. That stuff was degenerate not so long ago, it is mainstream now. Traditional masculinity is no longer enough, that's why TRP exists. The sexual revolution did really open Pandora's Box.

I appreciate your honesty in this long post, but the problem goes beyond individual attitudes I am afraid. Women have too much power in the current dating scene. An average-looking girl sets up a Tinder profile and she can be having sex in an hour with somebody at least as attractive as her, if not much more. Rollo Tomassi calls this "hypergamy", the tendency of women to shoot for the hottest/most charming guys. Those guys have such abundance that they never stick around. It is normal, I would d…

Holy shit. First that stacymomslovesme guy talking about fasting, now this. Somebody with some nutrition experience please help. Sorry to hear that, I hope things get better. I am approaching 30 and I have never had sex without paying for it, so you get my viewpoint. I have to admit that I am partially to blame for that since when I was a teenager/early 20s guy did never make much of an effort to chase women, expecting it to just "happen" (which for us does not most of the time). When I started to worry it was a bit late. However I guess that I am lucky since I have never missed not having a girlfriend/romantic relationsh…

I kinda envy you, OP. Looks like you have some real abundance. Funny that, I would be perfectly satisfied with your first gf. She is the type of low-maintenance woman I would like to have. All this game and dating stuff is so much work. I have a friend who is a bit like you, very picky with girls. He has a high sex drive but prefers jerking off to sex with a girl he is not enthusiastic about. In your position I would spin plates. Nice effortpost. But can you be more specific on what a "good strong dominant man" is? For instance, does he have to be the primary breadwinner, does the woman he is with have to be a housewife, does he get to decide the number of children they will have, etc.? In bed, does he for instance have to choke/spank you? (I ask because I would never do that spontaneously). Something that bothers me is that concepts such as "be confident" or "be dominant" are thrown around everywhere, even in mainstream…

Great post. However I still think lifestyle might be more important with women than your own personality. You can have a very alpha, non-needy attitude, but if what you do does not align with the things women enjoy, you are probably not going to have a lot of success. My two cents.

Good comment. It is also quite rich on the part of women to get angry over "manipulative" and "deceitful" nice guys, when they themselves are the masters of deception. I can even agree with them that no woman "owes" you sex, but considering how widespread the hook-up culture is their indignation rings kinda hollow. Don't open your legs for a guy that showers you with attention and gifts if you don't want, but don't act as if he was a wannabe rapist or something. Sex is no longer that big of a de…

#goraworgohome #condomcuck :) The sad part is that the bastard has a point. I feel nothing with a condom on. Sex is still worth it for the human contact, but it feels like a glorified wank sometimes.

My first time was with a hooker as well. I also had your fears regarding STDs. Choose an expensive escort, don't try to save money on this. That will lower the risk substantially. Use a condom. Zero risk is impossible to achieve, but that applies also to "civilian" girls. Relax and have fun. You will enjoy it, trust me. Best of luck, I know how it feels to be you.
/r/TheRedPill05/03/18 07:58 PM

Good for you. My first time was with a hooker as well. Ignore the haters. The objective is to be able to attract women but remember, you will always pay for sex, one way or another. Time is even more valuable than money sometimes. Also, don't be too hard on yourself. TRP puts a huge emphasis on taking responsability and not blaming others for your shortcomings, but this should not be taken to extreme lengths. I am not responsible for having a male sex drive, and I never chose to be born in the f…

Only have children if you are 100% sure about it. There is no way back. The sad truth is that in developed countries, children are no longer an asset, but a luxury. Just as the "old rules" regarding relationships no longer apply, children have a completely different function these days. This is harsh, I know, but not less true because of it. Great post, laylowwww. It was much needed.

Probably true. A commenter over at CH left an insightful comment back when the Elliot Rodger rampage happened: The Stark Truth Also I don’t think sexual frustration is the spark but it adds fuel to the fire. Thanks for sharing your story. I also get suicidal thoughts often, although for me they started in my mid-twenties. I won't kill myself primarily due to my parents. It would devastate them, particularly my mom. They don't deserve it. If you are more financially stable now I suggest looking for a different job. The search will probably motivate you. Also, I have found that learning foreign languages is highly motivating as well, giving you both a sense of achievement and a valuable skill.

Check Blackdragon on online dating: http://www.blackdragonblog.com/category/online-dating-techniques/ And the guys who do daygame, as ballsy as it is, also do need some financial stability to be able to have such a lifestyle.

What you and the "this is the best time ever to be alive" crowd are missing is that we may have solved many problems, but our 'progress' does beget new forms of suffering. For instance, we do not longer die of hunger, but loneliness is on the rise. Or the "work" we do is extremely alienating. This. I am so tired of the "passing on your genes" trope constantly paraded around, not just here but in the larger manosphere as well. People in the past reproduced because children were family assets, and they did not have birth control anyways. In today industrialized countries children are basically pets. Very expensive pets. This is a harsh way of describing it but it is the truth. https://qz.com/231313/children-arent-worth-very-much-thats-why-we-no-longer-make-many/

Exactly. For me this is quite depressing because I either a) do what I like b) get laid. I would give everything to be like a kid again, when I could be myself entirely. I always chuckle when I see the "guys play videogames because they don't get laid" meme. It is actually the other way around. Manospherians exaggerate from time to time but it does not change the fact that women can get sex very easily. If they don't really care/want that type of casual sex, well, that is something different. If I was a 15 y.o. and had just stumbled on TRP I would not believe much of it... but approaching 30 it echoes a lot of what I have experienced. Are you Spanish?

I see what you are saying, but this argument about school life been feminising does not resonate with me. Schools have been around for a long time. What's odd? I have never hated on women for liking what they like, since I personally fancy the trashiest of bimbos with a passion. However, many women that sleep with the typical 'bad boys' later moan about how they were abused, and society is supposed to empathise. Sorry but you get 0 sympathy from me. You are not responsible for being turned on by those guys, but you can always choose a more predictable and caring man that won't hurt you. If you play with fire, you can get burnt.

Biology and social mores are so intertwined that it is almost impossible to tell what is natural and what not. Porn gets a bad rap, probably deserved, but regular TV and movies might be even more deleterious due to the subconscious expectations they create.

It was kinda exciting when I was 15 in order to see how sex was like, but other than that I mainly used it as a fast way of becoming aroused and not having to dream something up in my head whenever I felt like wanking. You are pretty much like me, then. Womanizers are like that because they enjoy the chase. For those of us who don't, prostitution makes a lot of sense.

Thanks, I am hopeful in that regard. I should have busted my ass more when I was a teen, I clearly did not grasp how hard it is to get laid. I am 6 feet tall and relatively handsome, and was never obese, so it kinda boggles the mind. I am not in America but the 20/80 rule seems to be real from my experience. I have never eaten unhealthily (for instance, I have never ordered food home, and can count with the fingers of one hand the number of times I went to McDonalds or Burger King). I am skinny …

What I meant is, from whom are we supposed to learn those sexual moves? I was never told anything at home. Where I am from, in the past most people would go to a dance to find a girlfriend and eventually marry. ONSs and the like were unheard of. In such an environment, you are expected not to be aggressive. Personally I guessed yeah, you would develop some casual acquaintance with a girl and eventually ask her out. I obviously had a very bad grasp of female sexuality, how to escalate, etc... I a…

I do really recommend learning a foreign language. It gives a wonderful sense of accomplishment, and it is a useful skill. Even more so if you are in Britain, where most people probably speak English only. Great post, you are an inspiration. Really makes me ashamed of moaning sometimes.

About living at home, I can agree. It is comfortable but you kinda remain a child. Here in Spain it is very common, well into your thirties because the housing market sucks. Naturally it does not help to get laid. However some friends of mine manage to do it while still with their folks. YMMV.

I can confirm the exhausting part. I spent this summer basically doing the same, going out trying to pick up girls. A few minor successes here and there, but mostly blanks, with Château Heartiste's 'mcflakesters' everywhere. It was the first time I did it after reading red pill stuff, so I think it was worth it just as an experiment. But no way I can go through the same routine again the next summer. Also, I am not financially secure yet, so that takes priority as well. I have come to the conclu…

Man, many thanks for writing this post. This is exactly how I feel, and even though I am probably far from your success, I get a very similar suicidal ideation all the time. Glad to find someone who thinks alike, because I thought I was going insane. It is not that I want to kill myself right now, just that life is maybe not worth that much after all. I think there is a real risk to TRP in the sense that being an ultrarrealist kinda kills everything for you.
/r/TheRedPill15/12/17 08:39 PM

Agree 100% on this. I think that fully digesting TRP implies a high risk of depression, at least for a while.

I see, thanks for the reply. I am a single kid, so quite used to be alone. I have always had friends and never had trouble socializing with the same sex, but loneliness certainly does not bother me much. I have a lot of intellectual interests to keep me busy, plus some videogaming. Regarding sex, I just feel now approaching 30 a certain anxiety about it, since I have never had a girlfriend. I paid for sex around ten times, and I liked it, but I would like to check the "free" thing for once. Hook…

I disagree about the "basics" you talk about. Being masculine in the traditional sense is necessary, but not sufficient these days. Sexuality is way more savage than a few decades ago, and guys like me who come from functional and traditional families are at a loss. You did not have to be aggresively sexual in the past, now you do. Where the fuck are you supposed to learn to "talk dirty" to your partner, for instance?
/r/TheRedPill15/12/17 12:09 PM
1

The guy you describe would be me a while back. I expected sex to just "happen" someday, somehow. It was my fault in that sense that I did not get it. However I think that lack of masculinity alone does not explain the struggle. A massive cultural shift has happened. In the not-so-distant past you would be completely fine with not being aggresively sexual; in fact, you would be expected to be that way. If like me you grew up in a traditional and functional family, you are quite probably badly equ…

Exactly. I am glad you improved yourself, you are an inspiration considering your starting point. I sympathise since I am approaching 30 and still never had a girlfriend as well. Only paid sex (which was good enough, but I would like to experience the real thing). My take after a summer full of approaches and pussy chasing is that it is a terribly draining experience. Thanks for sharing your experience, but this kind of confirms something I suspected: the high SMV of a mature man has a lot to do with his resources. Staying fit and all that matters, but at the end of the day it is the $$$ (although much better spent than in a BB fashion, that is). I don't want to sound suicidal; it is not like I want to jump off a cliff or something. However looking at the daily drudgery most people have to endure I wonder how they find the strength to go on. Yeah, I kinda hate on movies and TV series because they create the illusion that sex "just happens". For women, maybe. For us, hell no. You have to work long and hard for it. Any father should beat that into their sons' head, and more so in this age.

I am a bit similar to you, in my case however it was the fear of pregnancy. Under no circumstance I have ever wanted to have children and it has made me fear "mistakes" while having sex. Interesting, I recall reading AJA Cortés saying that you should seek contentment. I guess there are different red pills. I have always wanted to be above average, but that also puts a lot of pressure on you. I have experienced a lot of grief over not getting laid, something that I think goes well beyond the biological grumpiness associated to it and I suspect has to do with social expectations. Someone can be extremely vain and entitled yet have empathy and be sensitive. This is a bit how I used to be, not entirely but close enough. I was always baffled by psychological descriptions of narcissim because I suspected having it, but my highly felt empathy did not seem to fit the picture. I suspected this. I just can not see how you can split ambition from a certain degree of self-righteousness/feelings of superiority. Yes, exactly. The famous 'FOMO'. I think that is the curse of the information era: you have access to lots of resources, which as a language learner I fully appreciate, but at the same time you are reminded of how many things you are "missing". More people have said what you expose, for instance Aaron Sleazy (http://aaronsleazy.blogspot.com.es/2013/06/who-came-up-with-sex-is-greatest-thing.html). I hope you are right. My problem is basically that being incel prevents me from enjoying literature, movies... I can not relate to it, like a kid. Other than that frustration I am fine. Not having sex is for me a bit like having a limp. You are not a cripple, you can still have a pretty good life despite it. Yet everytime you set foot on the street you see others walking normally while you don't. You are not fully "normal", if you know what I mean.

I get your point, but sex is always the problem. If I did not have any sort of libido I would be happy as fuck, since I grew up in a thrifty family and know to enjoy little things. I was religious as a kid, Catholic like you. That's fine, I won't say they preach bad things. But the moment you exit any church you see girls with miniskirts. Biology can not be negotiated with. "Society does not owe me shit, but I don't owe shit to society as well." This is an important point. Conservatives love to jabber about "you are not a special snowflake, the world does not owe you a living". Fine. But that means that I don't owe the world anything either. I don't like how things are. I would rather have a much stronger sense of community, of real patriotism (not just empty flag-waving). Sadly we have to adapt to the world we live in.

True. For me the RP was easy to swallow because since an early age I knew marriage was bullshit. And I grew up in an intact, functional family! (just a hint of how "boring" and wholesome it was: nobody smoke or drank). I can not fathom the son of divorced parents /broken home ever considering marriage. The only problem with RP in my view is that it can lead very fast to nihilism. Things being so harsh, why bother with staying alive in the first place? I think that BP serves as a bullwark against…

Indeed. It amazes me how for many people having children is a bit like buying a car, a routine purchase of some sort. I think very long term so it is unlikely that I go that route. I also suspect that most of the time men are just cajoled into it by their women. Maybe I am projecting here but I don't see having children as a natural male priority. In the past it mostly happened because there were no pills, or condoms.
/r/TheRedPill01/11/17 10:25 PM

It sounds funny, but it amazes me the amount of guys who just "assume" having children as what they "should do". I am risk-averse, particularly in this sort of decisions where there is no coming back.
