"my first life encounter with someone that clearly operated by default outside of social conventions with superficial dis-regard of anyone around him" If you need practice, I can take you for a crawl.

So I have to ask u/Ok_Independence_7077 why are you back here with the broken boys after 8 years? What happened that might have tugged you back to the place where you landed when your life was shite? Within every FR is a call to action, what is it for you?

We, as in the royal we, didn't know anything. Hell some of the red pill stuff was invented right in this very forum through real life trial and error. Yes, good times, Bogey. It was fun!

You want access to your children - daily - OK stay. You want a baby sitter that will not hurt them - maybe the wife would do. If you have the frame you could go for it with side pieces. Or you could just go without. There are lots of options that you have...YOUR LIFE YOUR CHOICES.

Oh! I thought the - taking charge of the treasury post was MIA. My post about serial cheating through my first marriage, also deleted, would be of little value for saving a marriage. I will submit, that it was instructive of one way to save the man and his children.(YMMV)

OK - take a breath and clear your mind a little. Nope, no posts to look for. You know my submissions over the years have been few and are now mostly deleted. Just some helpful hints from an old man that wants to help you - no more no less. Think about about those ideas conceptually and apply to yourself IRL. If you think back, your issues are really the very same ones you started with here years ago. You have changed, no doubt, but, who you ARE has not. That's not a good or bad thing, it just is…

Sitting on the fence will hurt your butt. ...credit W&S have your cake and eat it too is impossible, therefore simply stupid some people enjoy stupid thinking using a wife as a foil for ones indecision always works until it doesn't cheating always works better than open marriage If you research the above, and find that they are wrong... OK I will chime in a bit here from personal experience. Anytime you deal with chronic conditions there is plenty you can do and most of it is mental, assuming you have addressed and are addressing everything you can do about the physical issue(s). First, is just what you mentioned, getting angry or depressed. I call this SAD. Sometimes SAD can be reduced by just medicating the symptoms. In my case I deal with pain. Once it reaches higher levels, I head downward on the SAD path. Next- Basics ment…

Bottom line: I love my wife, almost as much as I love myself. Also, while marriage is not necessary, it offers pluses and minuses. Sometimes the minuses pile up, then the wife sets out to add more pluses in order to keep the marriage that she wants so badly. She views it as her job, and I enjoy her efforts. Often the assumption that marriage is not ideal, is the result of being in a not ideal marriage. Many of the men that have come to MRP with problems, they complain about marriage and question…

My wife doesn't even give a shit about our yard I don't give a shit what she thinks. You obviously do. Yard or no, sex or no, marriage or no, chores or no. Fuck all, figure out what YOU want and do that. It is really simple Simon.
/r/MarriedRedPill11/05/22 05:06 PM

Agree. Don't need a marriage license for anything. I also was not into steady plates during first marriage and I preferred lots of variety. This also was pre-HIV and before STD's ruled the earth...fuck me, lucky me! (aka: to bad for all you young guys) But those days I chose to leave in the past.

ADHD meds work by solving the issue for teachers and parents by subduing their children No doubt about it! I feel for you. The challenges you face are real, they are substantial, and the worst part, is cutting through all the bullshit advice you get, and finding the things that work for you and, most of all for your child. The Expert is generally the best bullshitter in the room. Yet, in my work, I was the leading expert - funny - sad.

I chose the stay at home woman, all my life. No regrets. Spinning plates is not for me. (not completely true - see the edit next) Edit- (with the exception of my first marriage - yes, as many of you know, I did all the soccer mom's back then. The following refers to after that first marriage - no intent to mislead here.) I am a fan of raw dogging, and that's not the safest way to spin plates. Even the occasional weak moment dalliance, had risks. A big advantage of a working wife is the extra inc…

I raised a child with some behavioral issues. Back then they called it hyperactive, now ADHD. Regardless of what you call it, there are kids with issues that make raising them "different". I used the positive reenforcement, along with some very carefully crafted and strictly enforced boundaries to get him to adulthood without harming himself or others. He was particularly challenging because he is very high IQ, and physically quick as a snake, aka he could out smart me , AND, out run me! The dru…

Yes frame. Coming from a "more than" rather than a "less than" point of view. Old term was positive reenforcement. The principle is the same with a child, a wife or a boss or an employee. Assume the best, get the best. Congratulate the wins, ignore as much as possible the losses. Children aka people will do more of what is rewarded and less of that which is ignored. Not rocket science, not new and I absolutely guarantee, it works, on children, and on anything human. Just like the "likes" on redd…

Years ago, the "1000 foot rope" was originally posted under my old user name, the now deleted u/over60_stupid_loner. The concept is as outdated as the "stages of dread". You are looking over your shoulder at her. You are in her frame. It's about watching her follow you, not about leading. On the one hand, it is very descriptive of what a NOOB does in MRP, but, it is not a good way to live as an integrated man on his mission. Driving looking the in rear view mirror is stupid. STOP IT. I'll give you this from my experience. I'm older than you, and have some physical issues...... but what is important is not the weight, it is the movement. Older joints don't handle heavy weights well, BUT they can handle lighter weights, just more slowly. If you go slow enough you get lots of muscle work with significantly less weight. Happy joints, stronger muscles, improved heart. Go lighter, longer and slower, not heavy. YMMV

When you go beyond the Serenity Prayer; When everything goes absolutely south; When you no longer have any control over your surroundings, and, when your physical strength is completely gone; All that is left is that positive force that you can exert on others around you, because, at that lowest point in your life, you are completely dependent on others to survive. Don't get me wrong. When in the right mindset, dread works, dread is useful. Dread is about improving yourself IMO. Dread is not something you "do to" another person. Maybe the "polarity" you mention is similar, but I'm really not familiar with the term. If it gets you the gains you want, call it whatever you want. Just keep working on what makes you happy.
/r/MarriedRedPill26/03/21 02:30 AM
3

Yup, applying dread, IMO is covert. The whole imagery of dread being something that you "do" to someone is way off. Forget dread. How, about "be attractive, don't be unattractive". It's simpler and the focus is in your frame, not hers or others. Do you see the difference? Attractive people get the attention of others naturally. No artificial sweeteners and fake additives, like the covert version of dread.

No DHV, no social proof. No waitresses flirt with me. There are no "women at the office" and its zoom anyway. That is on you. You are not engaging other people, in fact you are not engaging your wife much either. Pay attention to others, and others pay attention to you..simple. Your lack of abundance limits you more than anyone else. It's a bitch when you get that it's on you, not she she she. You've got a willing bad girl to play with, and you're acting like a chump...or do you really not like …

OK noobie, everything your'e doing wrong you will learn about in the side bar. BUT, you're passive aggressive, whiney little bitch self, and that's why I would smash your wedding ring, with your finger in it. So far I like your wife better than I like you. Hard for you to be attractive when you are a whiney little bitch.

I was also referring to yours and u/weakandsensitive posts. J10 was just as unique, as were all the great posts that built this male outpost. Reading thru J10, MITW, W&S, et al. I am reminded of the chorus of great contributors that made such a deep, vibrant, moving, earthy cacophony of men-kind that could not be ignored. Those great discussions needed involved, intelligent, men that added their experiences, and challenged the thinking of each other. Aw crap, sinus trouble again...

Hey Stony. I don't have the story that you're looking for BUT, here's my never previously revealed story. Once she was served with the papers, suddenly she had "needs". I got home around 7 PM, she would show up at 9PM, the sometimes come back at midnight or later. On the week ends, she would come by as many as 5-6 times a day. She would suck me, fuck me, drain me and lea…

Hysterical bonding never be the genuine sexual desire you knew in the beginning Careful here... You mean back when she was interviewing for the job? You more than most understand when values and relationship are at odds. Yes, well put. I agree that these things are not "forever settled" they are fluid, and, "It's not fucking easy". That is the best part of us as humans in action, just never count on it. There's also the one that will never go back down in that pit to help anyone, once they got themselves out. Self interest is good, giving is good, too much of either side also doesn't work. I will go one step further, values matter. Too many have no internal rudder that guides their actions. Put another way, philosophy matters. This was so clearly brought to my attention, many times by u/sorcererking

Redundantly: once the choice is made, your fiber is remade. You know I faced a choice similar to yours and my choice also went against my prior narrative. I am better for the choice I made. I am stronger, more focused, all based on my core values, becoming internally bulletproof. Guide yourself carefully on your quest.

Many men, like myself, have used anger as a "strategy" for getting what they want. In the business and sports world, it can become a habit using anger to gain advantage over those that I can intimidate. It works particularly well in a power vacuum. On the home front, anger can be used for pleasure to dominate another sexually. Yes, it is a little on the dark side, but it is what it is. The fact is, it just won't work long term. All that aside, I like this thoughtful post. Good insights here.

Stoney you have been one of the few men that I have seen make carefully crafted career decisions. You weight the risks, and unlike most of the boys here, you take the risks and monitor them as you go. I can count Lady Luck as one of my benefactors, you on the other hand, pretty much made your own luck, one than once. Going from the shit hole ranch and family you started from, to where you are now, and continue to go forward, is nothing more than a sheer work of your internal force. I bet there i…

Some of you know my story, but in another time in another place, I was the guy that kept the soccer moms from going sexless. They just had no desire the their faithful dad-bods. I was just doing what I needed at the time, and if it wasn't me they would have been screwing the pool boy or someone else. Trust but verify - always. It's easy to see from the edge of the pool, but when you're the one treading water the view is not clear.

Yes, and as you get older (like me, older than dirt) it wears on me a bit more. I lost control over those pictures long ago, so now I take some quiet times, and I recreate the images in my mind. In some ways it's better as it forces more detail and context from the mental image. Even better, they can't be taken away again.

Never forget that if some thing is really important to you, have POSSESSION of it before you file. To this day, I have never received any of the photos I took of my kids growing up. Courts can order it, but doesn't mean it will ever happen. If it is important, have possession of it. Can't go get something when she has the habit of calling the police every time you get near your house. Hard to show without using a financial calculator. But you can get the general idea by using an online calculator to add extra principal to pay off your mortgage payment over time. Then calculate the total of payments, including extra principal, made over the shortened time frame. Compare that to the total of payments you would have made. Take the difference of the total amounts paid, or the amount of interest you saved, then calculate the rate of return spread across the shortened time frame. T…

After you get the $1000, think about how secure your income is. If you lose your job, or your business, how long would it take you to replace your income and start paying the bills again? If that was 3 months, then your current monthly requirements ($3000) - times 3 months. That might be more like $9,000 or more in reserve. Some people got a sudden loss of income from COVID. Those with reserves have grocery money.

In the vein of avoiding loss, and having liquid to buy opportunities, do not reinvest your dividends automatically. Hold them out of equities. Dollar cost averaging is not all it's cracked up to be. Allowing funds to accumulate as liquid, gives you more opportunity money. I think Mr. Buffet is holding 134 billion of uninvested liquid assets at the moment. He isn't always right, but his deep value process has worked over time.

my only financial strategy is to pay off my mortgage as fast as possible and get out of debt. I don't invest. Actually you are investing. Paying off debt is the single highest paying guaranteed investment you can make. The return is guaranteed. The rate of return is actually higher than the stated interest of your loans. Until you complete these investments, why gamble with money you don't yet have?

She was a virgin, she wanted to keep herself till marriage, but is in love with me and we had a blood fest on the sheets which to this day I feel a tad guilty about. ..at this point she took ownership of you, and you accepted it. You, like so many men before you, want to trade your freedom for pussy, and just one pussy at that. Yes, you have fucked yourself up. You know this, but you know nothing. In fact, you are so ill informed, that you bring this mess of poop here, hoping, hoping, that someo…

Desire. Everything else can be managed in some way. If desire is absent, there is no need to go any further. After 8 years, you have a lot of doubts about yourself, and about her. Looking back, I would not commit if I had any doubts. On the other hand, are you so unattractive that you need to hang on to her?

If you take your time she’ll probably like it and want to do it again. What if she doesn't? What do now? The exchange of power can be highly intoxicating for her, IF you’re offering the appropriate rewards and she trusts you. What if she takes all the power? Once you’re comfortable with the basics you can move onto some more intense shit where things really light up. But somebody might get their eye put out.... These are important concerns.

IMO her statement is an "every hot woman" statement. Many, many women have the "bad boy" dream. They think their type is a combination of every bad-ass guy they ever met. In her mind she says "I like bad boys". The reality that it is a bad idea, that she hasn't attracted the "Bad boys" never crosses her brain. So when a friend looks at the picture of her new man and says "cute" her hind brain cries foul and she immediately gives herself "deniability" that "he's not really my type". She wanted he…

Go one step further: How you react, how you respond, is a product of how you think. If you think you are using a trick, or a method, or a device to get what you want, it will be and it will not be a lasting method. If you change your thinking to accepting the one thing that no woman wants you to ever know: your own value. Of course, this is assuming you have value. Begs the question: do you have value? Then if you have value, why are you not operating under that assumption? Why would you let ano…

Beware of..."A woman scorned..." That is source code for many a murder film. The one that left vs the one left behind. Had you engineered it so that she left you instead, it would be different. Redpill methods for increasing desire remain the same, but typically have reduced effect with a menopaused woman, while unattractive behaviors that turn off her sexual interest remain in full force. So you're a 35 year old drunk, that got sober 2.5 months ago, because your wife said she's ready to jump ship. You come here for RP advice, and you know some of it will make it hard to do the 12 steps you have to do. For a man with 35 years of screw up, you sure think you are "entitled" to a lot. My experience with entitled, victim mentality drunks with 2.5 months sober, is I would bet $50,000 USD against you. Prove me wrong.

OP make no mistake that RP can help you. Whether you can save this relationship, that you have described as a dumpster fire that Capt Sav-A-Hoe (you) set on fire, and, you keep feeding, is another question. You get what you deserve, as a result of your actions as a man. It is your actions not your words that matter. As you know, your actions so far are crap. Yes, you can learn to better yourself, save yourself using RP over time. Again, whether the relationship survives is not up to you anyway. …

Happy Birthday, young Curmudgeon. In 79 I took control of my first corporation. But the most important life changer was: I forced myself to dump my only side plate that would not stop pushing for (leave wife and...) marriage. Almost kept her. Dodged a bullet. That plate went on to impoverish many men. I have mentioned her here before to Frenchy, "I Used to Be A Cheerleader Jane"

13 for me. As I look back, there were turning points, major life changes that occurred. I can identify 13 of them, so far. Each one drastically altered my life's course. Most are the result of my deciding to make changes. There were only two, (1968, 1977) that were done to me, not done by me. FWIW The years were: 1968 1973 1977 1979 1989 1993 1996 1998 2000 2009 2012 2015 2019

It changes over time for some. Some of the important things, spouse, lover, child, and more, can change places of priority, combine, or even go away. Children grow up... Wives grow old... Careers end... We grow older... With each change, we re-invent. What doesn't change is being willing to fight for what matters most. Happy Thanksgiving.

I recently realized, if I'm the only person unhappy in my marriage, and the reason for that unhappiness is because life is only very good instead of perfect, I can life with that. Because my daughter being happy and carefree is literally the best part and most important part of my world. More than happy to sacrifice most of my petty b.s. for it. Interesting statements. Looks like a new version of yourself, again. No negatives, just interesting.

ONE, anger is choice of how you will react. TWO, using anger to get things done, is a choice. THREE, once you understand ONE and TWO, you will have the answers to all the questions you seek. Nice story. In each situation though, IMO there was a little too much collaboration with the mates. Could be construed as using red pill to achieve the blue pill ideal of..."the 1st officer sailed with the captain until his retirement." Since context in every interaction is the message, that's my take.

It was the lowest point of my life. I've never been more scared....I never want to feel like that again. First remember it is feelings, the reality is you did survive. Now you know how. Put away fear and replace it with confidence. Financial security is my goal. Is that a bad goal to have? Depends. Keep it in perspective. If you become "completely" risk avoidant to accomplish that goal, you slow your own progress. Fear is self-deadly. The confident eat the fearful.

If you live with her you are sharing custody. If you divorce and lose the sole custody battle, you still share custody. What is the downside here? Shared custody married to "it" or shared custody NOT married to "it". Why not try to win the lottery and get divorced and win sole custody. Seems so simple now. I wasted many good years on a crap marriage. My kids came out great, but they would have anyway IMO. Clear enough?

I wish I had taken it to court and got custody of my kids from that crazy woman. I would have been a better man and my kids would've gotten all of me. Him and his wife had an 'open' marriage, where 'physical only' relationships (pure fucking) were allowed I have seen more than a few open marriages. The whole reason for going there is in the first place, was the marriage was on life support and was starting to stink. Not a single one lasted. They stayed together "for the kids" and generally their shit hole behavior, screwed the kids up even more than a quick divorce. Kids aren't stupid, they know when mom and dad aren't really together. Recently MERP mods let a woman say her piece. Seems they thought her little bit was harmless. MY problem is I think it is the difference between letting someone shit a little on your floor, or take a big dump. Either way, it smells, it leaves a mark, and the next dog bitch to come along will sniff it out, and shit in the same place. It is a rule zero - minus one for me. End of rant.

Agree. It's easier to see others faulty thinking, then it is to admit your own. A serious noob can learn a lot, even though it is mostly a comedic shit show. Besides, it's a lot more fun to watch someone else wrestle a pig, that it is to actually do it.
/r/MarriedRedPill29/07/19 04:26 PM

Instead of talking about us and what we do, the focus needed to be on the customer and the problems that we can solve for them, i.e. our value add. I mentored people in my industry to increase their production. The chore was always to get them to quit showing off their knowledge, their skills and their analytical tools, and start talking about solving problems for clients. Amazing that you could glean that in one day. Some salespeople never get it. You can call that a superior days work.

But I can't shake the feeling that it's a bad idea - a really, really bad idea. You're probably right about being wrong. Your situation is not hopeless, you just let it go too far, and, you're blaming your wife for your own abdication. Since you screwed it up, only you can unscrew it. Control your anger - at yourself, and, try not to drop any atomic bombs.

I agree that every single MERP that came here, the vetting ship had already sailed. It is like wishing for a different past. Like u/RStonePT and u/johneyapocalypse said, "magic fairy dust" thinking. Once you already own the woman, the kids, and the mortgage, boundaries is the only way to go, and probably would have been the best option to begin with. Mistake number one: providing advice in writing. Mistake number two: having the discussions with your pastor. You talked about fight club twice. Even put it in writing, twice. You trusted your friends that outed you. Now you do it again and trust the pastor. You have completely doxed yourself - twice. Your behavior is overly trusting - naive. You have reaped some of the "benefits" of breaking the rule of fight club. I don't think you are getting it.

If you stay with someone long enough, you will change and she will change, just count on it. All the vetting in the world gets you a big zero 10 20 30 years later. For most men, it is not all those inevitable changes that hobbles them. It boils down to the loss of frame that provides the bullets he uses to repeatedly shoot himself in the foot. The crippling is entirely self inflicted.

Sometimes it's not the art, but the artist that matters. The instructor is the key to what you will learn and the way it will be applied. Every martial art has it's pluses and minuses, but some are more sport than application. Look for an instructor with many years of training, multiple black belts, in more than more discipline and the desire to teach you the ART, along with the ability to deflect, restrain, or destroy one or more aggressors. You make some good points. You also just described the parable of the prodigal son. Does the advice of a man that fell from his high point zenith, and clawed his way back up, have more value than a man that never fell, even though he is still living at that height?
