Thank you so much for your response. That was a great amount of information thank you. I can walk and I'm pretty sure I can run. I can do a few more increasingly strenuous exercises post-surgery, but I still won't be able to lift til 6-8 weeks after. As for my diet, I think I might stop keto and just concentrate on calories and protein. I was considering going back to intermittent fasting I just hate waiting til 12 or 1 to eat my first. Other than my grandfather, who served in the Cuban Missile Crisis, no one in my family (the part of it I'm close to anyway) has left the US. Few of them have ever even left the east coast. Your findings pretty much back up my experience since Dec. 5th (when I started my diet). Been doing keto and IF since. Dropped from 188 lbs to 174 lbs. Haven't lost any strength either. Once my eight weeks of keto are up, probably gonna switch to something like the carb back loading diet you described.

I wasn't fat to begin with when I started this diet (5'9.5", 188 lbs, 16% body fat), and in a month I've dropped 10 lbs simply by intermediate fasting and keto. Still lift 3-4 days a week. Take BCAAs before I lift on my fast. And a keto diet makes you feel amazing. Today is my first cheat day of the month since my family is forcing me to eat carbs for Christmas dinner anyway. My question would be why not? The Greek Yogurt I eat (Dannon Lite and Fit Vanilla) is 130 calories with 18g protein and 0 fat. And it tastes pretty damn good. Oftentimes, I'll mix it with these protein oat mix I have. I've been trying to cut back on carbs (unsuccessfully so far, I might add, lol), so I haven't been eating it as much lately, but I don't see why you shouldn't eat it.

Just my advice: if you live in a state w/ a good state school with fairly low tuition, then take advantage of it. I live in NJ where, luckily, we have Rutgers. It has a good reputation, and tuition is only $13k (I commute so I save the $13k that would otherwise be spent on room and board). Idk what your grades are like but I got $10k in scholarships from academics alone (from the school and outside scholarships). So don't slack off in high school.
