Then on dating apps specifically, 15% of straight men report hooking up in a month compared to 3% of straight women. That doesn't make any sense at all. There are more men on dating apps than women, for starters. How can 15% of the men on an app (or surveyed) have had a hookup, and only 3% of the women, when the prior statement is true? I'll have to take a look at this article later.

I don't think this is a good Q for me to answer, but here goes: even when I was netting <$175k annually, I was still finding dates. Not a Chad or anything remotely like whatever dreamy guy y'all may imagine, I think my dating profile was just good in general, and I can communicate socially well enough. I'm not tall (5'9") and I'm also biracial (White/Asian) which absolutely does get penalized in some ways. Even when I started >$175k annually, I didn't flex when I was single. I dress pretty lame …

The only sport with objective measurements where women outpace men are ultramarathons, both running and swimming All the records are held by men by a significant margin. It's not even close (at least, in running) --- didn't google search swimming. Maybe the average woman participant is more prepared or more serious to their training, but when such a gap at the highest level exists, it makes me question the phrasing of your claim. ^100-mile record on one of the most challenging races has a 3 hour…

$150k a year is not alot of money when you're living in Los Angeles or NYC If he is spending $150K a year, we are very much talking about net and not gross income. The equivalent salary for someone making that much net per year, in states such as California (with state income tax, no post/pre tax withholdings), would be grossing close to $240K per year. That is absolutely a lot of money in those areas, given that it's still certainly top 10%.

Right, I see that. I'm just shocked at the fact that there's women in here bragging about being with unemployed men who don't make money. It's silly to me The OP's implication is that he is essentially retired. $150K/yr at 33, for the rest of his life is a lot of money. Especially when I think that would be net, but either way, he's clearly a multi-millionaire. He's also spending more than your partner makes a year.

Why are women so obsessed with a man's ____? Both genders have preferences (or better yet, people), even if you think it is ridiculous or unfair. Example: I think it's ridiculous that some short women (I think avg is 5'4") have height preferences, but you know what? That's okay, that's their business, not mine.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/23 08:24 PM

Its not as hard as you think I would say that's a gross exaggeration. The % of the population that are doctors (according to a quick google search, without any validation) is .29%. Now take into account the proportion of this .29% that are: opposite gender (unless they want that), age range too wide, married, and so forth... That's an even lower pool to chase/compete for.

It's viable in the sense that: As the sugar daddy/momma (although rare), you can date someone far more attractive than you. Not just that, but they can play the role of listener/lover/and provide company to things that maybe you don't have anyone to go with, or trips you want someone to join you with. As the sugar baby, you can live beyond your means, as well as being spoiled/pampered. Resources that can help you in your life, or enhance it. It's not viable in the sense that: I think many men/wo…

I very rarely see women who look like they are sub 12% bodyfat range. I would say most seem to be around 15% - 20%, or so. Even the healthy lifting fitness instagram models are about that, on average. It makes me wonder what you really consider "fat" to be, or what you're seeing on your feed. I wouldn't even compare beauty standards in Korea to America... we all know how strict they are in general, in terms of image of there. One thing I have learned from many years of being active and working o…

I don't know about that engineering bit, but I can speak on the developer portion. I can't think of many, relevant companies that would pass up on a talented developer because they don't have a college degree.

If we are talking about online dating (specifically): I think it's a bit unfair, because you are able to filter out on height & not weight or body-type. Apparently it's okay to shun height (which you have no control over), but not weight (which you probably have control over).

Personal anecdote, so don't treat it like gospel. A guy I know recently got a top tier job at a hedge fund, or something. Needless to say, ever since he updated his job on Hinge (I think this app), he's said he's gone from minimal matches to several. The pictures remained exactly the same.

1)Chris Rock is a comedian. Comedian standups are always expected to get personal most of the time at any awards show and/or event. Most people understand that and laugh it off, regardless of how personal they get. Rock tried to pre-phrase his poke at Jade with a "I love you Jade", or something along those lines. Intent is a big factor whenever considering any jab, for me personally. Last Vegas show I went to (Absinthe) some guy was getting butthurt that the comedian was poking fun at him. I'll …

in the same way a CV history of jumping multiple jobs is bad. I would use career as an analogy. I'm a job hopper. I typically jump every ~two years or so. I wouldn't be as successful as I am now career-wise if I stuck around at the same company for so many years. Most companies will never give you the raise you are looking for compared to a new employer sending you a much more lucrative offer. Case in point: best friend is a solid developer. Some of those comments are so delusional. I feel like the one's saying "no one his age wanted him cause they see through him" are honestly coping to the max. The reality is much simpler: he finds younger women more attractive and have more to offer. Like, does anything seriously believe that nonsense? A younger woman has far more options than an older one (same for men, depending, but a lot more flexible).

The guys for whom it does matter tend to be narcissists who accept nothing less than being the most handsome, one-night-stand worthy guy a girl has ever been with. They would prefer to be the outright best than accept living in a world where compromise is the glue that holds most human relationships together, and as a result these men tend to be perpetually dissatisfied with their relationships, if they can even manage to get relationships at all. I already make a lot as is, for the record. If she made more than me, I also wouldn't care. She doesn't need to make a lot of money, nor does she need to cook/clean/do house chores everyday. Increasing the money supply is inflation. Rising prices are a consequence of inflation. This is Econ101. Inflation is when the money supply gets inflated and debases the currency thereby requiring more of it to buy the same goods. Apparently you missed the obvious sarcasm, including the /s tag. All of this inflation is due to all of their spending in the past 8 months. Yeah, I'm sure the Fed government buying $4+ Trillions in bonds during COVID had nothing to do with inflation. Purchasing bonds and increasing the money supply had no effect on anything. It's all the Dem's faults. /s

Better looking men will pair up with less attractive women, or women they are not interested in beyond sex. Think most people already understand this now, except for younger or inexperienced girls (or low self-esteem) who often times don't have a backbone or correlate it with the guy as being interested in them. Also leads to a lot of women getting hurt. You know the story from friends. Guy plays the part of prince charming down pat, and then after sex he disappears (tbf, it could also mean he l…

You ask in ways that don't come off as judgmental or rude, or hint that you are against it (as you indicated). From there, you just remember what they have answered and see if it lines up with what you learn about them over time. Sometimes they're more honest and upfront. Sometimes they're not, or they speak in roundabout ways (still dishonest).

The issue men have is that they feel exploited when a woman makes one man wait but not the other. Absolutely true. But I think the important thing to take note of, is if that behavior has changed.

Height is a big factor for attraction in men, for a lot of women. How many times have you heard, "6 ft+", or seen it on a dating app? The reality is this: In the U.S. population, about 14.5% of all men are six feet or over. With this single trait, women eliminate the vast majority of men from their dating pool. Men don't tend to care about height, and if they do, most women are not abnormally tall as is (because most men prefer someone shorter, on average). Fact is, height is an attraction featu…

I mean, it's a two way street. Not denying this at all that majority do find it attractive (although in person it might be a different story). I would suggest Dallas-Fort Worth over Austin. Austin is getting overcrowded and everyone wants to move there. Traffic is shit (to be fair, traffic is shit in Dallas, but not if you live in one of the nice suburbs like Plano). And food is definitely better in cities like Houston / Dallas, compared to Austin. Austin is that city that's fun to get away to once in a while, but I wouldn't want to live there, to be honest.

Don't message her, don't talk to her, just move on. Block and just disappear. You don't need to hear her bullshit excuses, or her…

Anyway pretty much every night she goes out gets groped/ grabbed by random dudes and its fucking with my head. Is this normal behaviour at clubs? I have never been to a club before so I have no idea whats the norm there. No, it's not--- contrary to what people on here are saying/acting like here. It does happen once in a while, but to the same girl every night? No.

Well to start with, a lot of dudes here are salty about women due to some incident in their life--- whether it be a relationship turned cheating, women always rejecting them, or what not. You know, anger phase and all. Honestly, a lot of people have a hard time admitting the problem is with them, or in cases where they were cheated on and their world crushed, they simply have a hard time healing and moving on with their life in a proper manner. There's both good and bad advice on the TRP, and th…

Taking another man's number while she's on a date with you is blatant disrespect Women aren't stupid, she had to have known that entertaining that dude was outta pocket. 100% agreed and well written. My only hope from this is OP didn't pay the entire check.

Not sure if it is worth it to blow it up via news/media or on social media in general. Probably could end up slapping you on the face even though you were innocent. At this point, I don't know what you can do. My only advice would be to seek out legaladvice (like on the subreddit legaladvice), but you've already approached lawyers, so... perhaps posting on the subreddit to a wider audience will be more useful.

I'm genuinely curious. Why a LTR for 10 years if you have no plans to ever get married or never have kids?

I have no idea what my max squat is, but the most I can do is 5 sets of 5, with 225 lbs(!!!!), ass to grass. And the last set is a bit grueling. And I've been stuck here for a while. Max set of 5 I could do once recently was 231 lbs(105 kg). Weakling. Well have you tried... changing things? Add 5 lbs next week. Do 4 sets of 8 reps another week. Do Front Squats. Change it up a bit, don't do the same thing over and over and over again. I change my workout pattern regularly. When I lift, I routinel…

Man, don't even worry about what weight you "should be". Everyone's frame is built differently, first of all. Secondly, the only thing you really should care about is how you're going to do a clean bulk. Monitor your appearance as you bulk up in weight, and start cutting if your bodyfat begins to go up too much. Track your progress and make changes as you are bulking/cutting to ensure you are not eating too much or too little. No adult man should ever weight below 160lbs This is shit advice. Som…

Just a few last questions, why not shoot for the number as soon as possible after a couple of messages on tinder? Because I know I might be too busy that week, or because I might be talking to a lot of other women/just might be lazy or tired that I don't feel like it. Also, the fact that you match is a good sign. Asking for a number or to chill ASAP might come off as needy or pushy to some women and turn them off. Also, a girl asking for your social media or dropping her number without being ask…

I just found it weird to call a girl and then not text her after, they just seem to lose interest if you don’t reply to them quickly? I wouldn't call her unless we had a meeting planned, sometime close, like perhaps, the following day. I'll elaborate more below. Some girls I’ve texted after very a lot of hours and they just don’t seem to respond anymore That's texting for you. It's generally why you don't want to go on massive texting sprees in the beginning. Of course, there are a few women out…

Doesn’t calling show overinvestment? Nah. I'm just saying instead of trying to keep a text conversation with some online dating chick going for longer than a day, it's better to call once and make it feel more personal. Texting is very impersonal and can start off great and fade away. Terrible for dates planned several days later, with how flaky and impulsive people are these days. I honestly don’t really have the time to call a girl and be on the phone for an hour? Don't be on the phone for an …

You're not ugly. Not at all. Secondly, the fact you say you lack self confidence makes me imply the following: You posses awkward mannerisms You're lacking in regards to social interactions with females You got no game, and this in both in regards to in person and/or online Also, think from the perspective of women who swipe on your tinder profile. You shouldn't be making a fake profile, first of all... that serves no purpose. Anyways, the male to female ratio is favorable to women. Why should t…

Longterm TRP lurker here. Here are my thoughts: I think any longterm TRP poster/lurker can recognize that there are a lot of salty dudes who post on TRP. I'm talking, the kind of guys who hate on women any chance they can get--- whether it was because they were cheated on or because they fail with women and blame them for their own problems. The problem is, there attitude spills out to other communities. TRP is a public place to view discussion and spill out your own thoughts after all. Christ, …

UPDATE: Shit just got spicy boys. She randomly texted me saying that after work she wants to stop by my place and say “hi”. Should I use this opportunity to end it with her? Tell her you can't because you got a date to get ready for tonight. Trololol

Why can't you? You can certainly plan for it to happen in a short amount of time, right? You shouldn't have to message a guy to "back off". It's never your job to enforce your girlfriend's behavior. Your girlfriend shouldn't be keeping contact with a notorious playboy who obviously wronged you in the past, when you have already basically laid it down you don't like it. Worst, she keeps saving his name under different names, which means she is very much aware she is doing something wrong and does…

This sounds fake, honestly. There's nothing that needs to be discussed here. Just dump her and move on. It's clear as day. She'll be all over him as soon as you breakup, if she isn't already. This shit will drag on until she finally does something (I mean, she kind of already has at this point even if not physically). He's tall to the point where looks don't even matter, probably has smooth game, and is a fighter. Nothing you can do to really compete with that-- but you shouldn't have to with yo…

What the fuck has happened to women that used to like straightforward men that had the balls to go and open a chat while others just prefer to talk online? I am inclined to believe that receiving so many DMs on instagram has made even women that are not that attractive have the self believe that they can have whatever men they want.. And if you are asking yourself right now "Well maybe you are ugly/Bad looking" As I said I have a lot of experience in the past.. You can check my instagram and see…

I will add though, that this man is pushing 60 and married, and although I do see what he's doing as white knighting, I don't believe she'd go for him. This other dude, however... perhaps. Oh, sorry. I misread that bit. Mixed the other guy with this friend, up.

Well here she is, running off to your supposed, "friend" the moment trouble brews, and here he is being a complete dick to his friend of 10 years and worshipping the girlfriend of said friend (or ex) instead. Dude is a complete douchebag and is the type of guy to trade friendship for pussy. He can say you were a dick all he wants for looking into her facebook, but it's evident where his intentions lie. He's no better, because a friend would have looked you in the eyes and told you how you fucked…

You should be mixing up your lifts every week, after you get your feet planted in. You shouldn't be doing the same thing over and over and over again. You need to shock your body by changing certain variables (weight, rep scheme, rest, etc.). You can also do different exercises (i.e., dumbbell press instead of bench). Don't neglect certain exercises. For example, front squats are amazing for your body, and it's an exercise underutilized typically. Deadlifts are important and shouldn't be skipped…

You're 26 years old and you struggle to talk to a beautiful girl sitting next to you on a long bus ride? Wtf man... Start working out, dressing nicely, etc. Build some confidence if you struggle in the easiest scenario to talk to a chick. You were basically handed one of the easiest situations ever, and you failed horribly. Stop analyzing ever small detail and JUST GO FOR IT.
