Agreed here. Your family's wedding, and you got the most cash? You pay. Normally, my philosophy in this situation is that "The pain should be equal" when it comes to the bonus entertainment stuff. Still splitting living stuff though. I'm making 3x more money right now, so basically things get split around 70/30. I can handle that, because overall, we're still pretty cheap savers and nothing is egregious... thanks to her entering my cheap saver frame.

Simply put, the are too many red flags. This kind of behavior is just ever not tolerated in my life, and I don't think that's too much to ask. I'd personally GTFO. Behavior is either unacceptable or acceptable. Don't accept this.

While on the subject, it's also a good idea to use a UPS box for your address on AS MANY THINGS AS POSSIBLE. Your real address and cell phone should be in as few hands as possible. If someone wants to track me down, it's one more added step.

You seem smart, so you HAVE to find the system that works for you. Seems like you know your triggers. Replace the food with whatever you can. Perhaps get into problem solving mode and figure out how to first solve whatever is stressing you. Maybe there is someone you can call when you are getting overwhelmed and are about to binge? The reason I care is because if you love sex, wait till you have it when healthy. Harder dick, better stamina, pure fucking GOD mode. It's worth the diet struggles, t…

Realize that it's a bit different with former pro athletes. Most of them are basically "post wall", given that their top talent depreciates during their 30s, unlike the rest of us, for whom it appreciates. It's tough to get back to that level of local fame and earning power, which is why so many athletes fall apart when they retire.

Late the party here, but sometimes the universe sends you messages as loud as it can.... yet you're not listening! Someday, you'll look back at this and say "That's when I should have started my business" I know this because I went through a completely different (although similarly infuriating) situation, and it was my last straw. Several years self-employed, it was the best decision I've ever made. At this point, either quit or start putting in very little hours and get your business done inste…

Hello fellow metalhead! LTR crew here, but if/when this one ends, 3-6 month relationships is exactly what I'd probably end up doing (after going hog wild for a few months, that is). 6 months is perfect. End it right before they want to move in and all that. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, so do what makes you happy. When I read all these threads about spinning plates and stuff, all I can think is, "Holy hell that's a lot of work and time spent". No matter which way you cut it, you're…

Came here to discuss this money thing. You see the problem, you know it. You'll find your own solution (I like the one from Paid_Internet_Troll). Just please, for the love of God, find a way to stop spending your money on booze for other people. It's okay to be where you are though. Dudes go through their entire lives not seeing it. Better to have swallowed the pill and lost a bit than to never swallowed it at all.

Trimmed beard guy for quite a while. This year, that's been changing, for as much as I hate shaving: I'm getting to the age where I enjoy looking younger, not older, but more importantly: Hipsters are KILLING beards. Fucking murdering them, and in a bad way. You do not want to be lumped in with these giant pussy clowns. I'm noticing lately that I get a lot more stealthy looks from women when clean-shaven to 1-day growth. Shaving every other day isn't my idea of fun, but it's likely the strategy …

It sounds to me like you don't know how to be in an LTR, but want to (which is fine - I'm in one and it's a very nice life). I mention sex, she rolls her eyes. Or she says shit like, "Not if you don't do this or that." She used to BEG to suck my cock as a plate, and now that we're an official couple, she's making demands. Red flag #1. This is a touch tough because sex does go down when you live with each other (more reasons to get annoyed by each other) and everyone's insanely busy (I'm just as …

OP I'm interested in where you fit into the picture. Crazy interested to know where I'd end up. I'd think I'd eventually be someone to deal with the correctional officers... If you had a lot of money, would you disclose that or be liberal with your spending at all?

Great Progress! You're still young, so my advice is simply... NEVER STOP. If you want to stay natty, you'll eventually hit a type of 'law of diminishing returns', and that's okay. There's only so much natty muscle you can put on. But no matter what age, what phase of life you're in, keep hitting the gym. Even if it's just maintenance lifting. Be smart about any injuries (they'll come and they'll take longer to heal once you hit, say, 30), enjoy competitive / club sports too... but even if you're…

the worst time in all of civilization to be a man Disagreed, as long as you maintain Law 38. Less masculine men around + women naturally/biologically attracted to masculine men = more pussy for masculine men. Even if it's secretive. Change your perspective. It's good to be rare.

For some reason, there really is an emptiness in this generation. Find huge opportunities in large global trends. Turn on your opportunity antenna. When you hear a ton of people complaining, that's a ton of people to sell things/services to, whatever those things/services may be. Unfortunately, it seems that prescription painkillers and overly-strong marijuana are one such success based upon that kind of emptiness. But there are others you can find, if you wish to sell to millennials.

Successful TRP practice is truly a pressure-flip on the entirety of life. I still find it maddening that it took me so long to figure this kind of thing out, and occasionally a great post like this comes by and makes me smile and realize that I still don't think I have it fully internalized.

China don't play no games. China also says lots of things, but what will they really commit to as a society? If they seriously focus on this strategy for a generation or two... give it 30-40 solid years...... watch out.

Do what I did and suck for a good 3-5 years until you start to figure it out (can do this on the side while working a day job to pay bills, but know where your priorities lie), OR go and find someone to mentor you in a legit company in an industry you appreciate. One very smart thing you did that needs to be emphasized to those going through a divorce: Do not let her turn attorney sessions into counseling sessions. That shit is crazy expensive. Once the attorneys are in the room, it's all business. Get in and get out of there, because every hour counts. Way to play the big picture game, the 'stuff' is easy to replace.

This is possibly the most 100% correct long comment I've ever seen on this sub. Great job. As a business owner coming into my own, and establishing a network of guys who are far more well off than me, I completely concur. You walking away means lost money. The good ones do. It's a solid LTR litmus test. If you're 6 months into a relationship, and she loses her shit over you spending a Sunday afternoon without her, she's gotta be gone. Mine loves it when I peace out for an extended workout. House is actually quiet for once since I'm the noisemaker usually. Both of us wouldn't want it any other way

Unfortunately the new Megadeth album is pretty boring. Anyway, not too concerned about metal getting infiltrated. There have always been metal chicks and there always will be, but they'll remain the minority. The female lead singers who suck won't sell, and there's nobody there to prop it up because no "establishment" cares about metal. It will remain mostly a sanctuary, and not even by design. Just because it's seriously aggressive. Arch Enemy (female lead singer: Angela Gossow) had a few good …

Multi-year live-in LTR here. Mine knows better than to even ask that kind of question. It'd either end in some kind of abstract logic train that would make her head hurt (ie I'd start with some bullshit like "first let's define the word need"), or a straightforward answer that'd make her heart hurt. If in a good mood, I'd bust into the song "I need you now!" which I don't know any words to, so I'd make the rest of them up by merging them with some other song. That'd be the agree-and-amplify appr…

I love a good BJ as much as the next guy, but at some point, you need to be considering if a BJ is worth more than 30 minutes of effort from you. You spend an entire night hanging with this girl for that? I'd have ended it on night 3. It's just not enough reward. Half of my posts say this, but you folks really need to value your own time a lot more. It's the most important asset you have and you throw it away on useless things and people.

She wanted to meet my dog Did she? Or did you completely miss some ulterior motive here? You're young, have some fun, and stop over-thinking and worrying about other people's problems. In due time you'll waste a hell of a lot less time with people like this, or worrying about their finances.

Sadly, this is living proof that right now, the best policy is to keep your mouth shut in public and live your own RP life on the low-key. I'd love for all of you to go be martyrs, but back to the real world... real men are still literally on retreat. The pendulum will eventually swing back a bit, I hope, but not yet.

I'm not sure we'll ever come to full agreement, but my stance is that if you run a solid ship, there won't be much of a chance for her to be hypergamous. My SO is quite introverted (a huge plus) and doesn't go out without me very much at all. She has no need to because I'm typically keeping shit on the up. Not saying it wont' happen. I'm saying that I lessen the chances by attacking life to the fullest and bringing her along for the ride. And the second she starts steering away (as discussed in …

Being cheated on doesn't mean they were a "beta," it just means they were with a woman. Maybe, but I don't think cheating just "happens" like it's thrown around so much here. They don't just fall onto a cock one day. It comes after plenty of time and resentment - and that can happen by being both too alpha and too beta or simply too gone. The best strategies discussed in this sub are balancing those two. My rough estimate is that for each year of a decent relationship, it would takes 2-3 weeks f…

If you are in the position where you even need to make an ultimatum, you really should evaluate this relationship and if you even want to be in it. IMHO, if you're living together, the relationship has to be stable and set, and the rules are known. There's no 'ultimatum' ever needed to be made. If certain things even come close to going down, the relationship is terminated, and she knows it. Start texting a guy? Game over before it even started. Going out too often without me? Done. This doesn't…

Tip: NEVER stop playing the piano. Holy shit that is such huge SMV you have no clue -- if you put yourself into the proper situations. Stop practicing at home - go find a nice hotel lobby downtown and practice there. Be fun, have fun, collect tips, collect phone numbers. If you can play that thing without being a total dork once your mouth opens, you will have more SMV than 99% of us given the right situations. To be fair, my most miserable married friends became most miserable after the 5-10 year mark. Slow erosion. And since my friends who got married 5 years ago in their late 20s are now hitting that mark... it's really interesting to see.

Another strategy is to "make the pain equal". If you're making 3x more than her... then she can just kick in for the tip, or she pays for drinks while you pay for the meal + tip. In my LTR, I'm slowly paying more because of this. An extra $50 here or there does far less damage to me than to her because things have been going well business-wise. And when she has extra cash in the bank (she doesn't piss money away like many women), life is all around better around the house.

In an LTR or ongoing relationship, which seems to be the frame of this post, this is typically already established. Here's a hint: If you enter a relationship 100% paying for everything, the chances of moving towards a 50/50 split later on are far more difficult / nearly impossible...

Have done quite a bit of research and know quite a few roid users. I'm staying natty until my hair loss goes "critical mass". The one thing I'll say is that so many of my friends become emotional little bitches when they're cycling off the stuff. Estrogen levels need to be kept in check. Besides the size and performance in the gym, the behaviors I've seen from these guys is the complete opposite of alpha. Keep that in mind.

Good lessons learned, but ultimately, it doesn't matter. These guys don't matter, and their responses shouldn't bother you. You are clearly going to leave those guys in the dust the second you leave for school. You probably can already peer into the future and know which select few friends will seriously be in your life 10 years from now. My suggestion is that you focus on hanging with those guys, your family, and everything else is about getting your body ready for college lacrosse. Show up to …

Know a couple in OP's exact same situation. The woman's post-wall (hit it extremely hard within like a 6 month window, it was freaking uncanny). She broke up with my buddy to chase her alpha widow, who wisely rejected her. So my buddy came crawling back to her, as did she to him... they're now married and her family's always wanted her to have lots of babies but she's running low on time. Well, you should have a business page on Facebook and separate Twitter anyway (unless you're going for celebrity status and not brand status). Yeah, on FB too often because of business. So I have to "disagree" with OP. But here's what I'm noticing for me: I'm finally allowing fellow business people to become friends, after avoiding that. Turns out.. they're all like me - entrepreneurial, aggressive, gun-loving, etc. Cut from the same cloth. Veterans are fun to follow. Funny you post this. This weekend she just busted me for doing it to her. And I was indeed doing it (shifting the conversation a bit to get some extra sideways arguments in that weren't directly relevant to the discussion at hand). Wasn't a big argument, but still funny... you can't fight them at their game. They will ruin you. Instead, bring them onto your battlefield. Was a fun 'experiment' that I'll avoid when possible in the future.

Yep, happens a lot. The biggest trick is to catch it happening fast, and punish the behavior. "NO. You may not change the subject. We're talking about ________." If she tries to change the subject again? "NO. You may not change the subject. We're talking about ________." Do it every time nice and stern like you're talking to a child. But you gotta catch it - they're good at slipping things in that totally make you lose frame. Experts, really. Ever since adopting more and more TRP principles (and…

Right. The video is a way of bringing a horse to water. Can't force it to drink. At least the viewer will check out some of their other videos and possibly sign up. It's a good sales/marketing tactic and I bet it's converted decently well considering the video going viral. The only next hope is that they're selling a decent lifestyle, not a lame 12-step program. I really don't know anything about the Pickup Marketing scene, never cared for all that. Took what I needed and peaced out of it.

That's the biggest thing I've taken away from you're advice which I struggle with is that I talk far too much. So I inherently say more than necessary and spoil the mystery with these girls. I've had to actively tell myself that before I press send on a text, to see first if I can shorten what I said anymore. More succinct. Less is more. Frame it in your mind differently then. This kind of scenario works in other situations too. RP: "Get ready, we're going to my favorite Chinese grub at 630." BP: "Where do you want to go to dinner? Let me take you to your favorite place" In both of these examples, let's say you're buying dinner. One of them is clearly not demonstrating "provider" role, it's demonstrating the leadership role, letting her into your adventure. Same side of a different coin.

I'm extremely 'balanced' in terms of introvert/extrovert, but probably about 55/45 in terms of introvert (Overall, I recharge alone, but also need to blow it out in a large crowd once in a while). As mentioned in one of the LTR threads about chores: "Do what needs to get done." When heavy shit needs to get lifted, damn right you lift it. Preferably with no sleeves on, thundercock style. But you also get compensated accordingly by making her do her own "heavy lifting", preferably in advance. If she does not comply, she is gone.

There are moments when you 'see the Matrix' like Neo did at the end of the first movie. Those are some of the best feelings - things are just clicking and you know exactly what's going on so well that it's ingrained - you almost don't even need to think anymore. Give a fake name/number to strangers in a bar. I honestly don't think this would work well anymore. A halfway decent PI would find you, especially given as much surveillance and imaging and social media that's out there. For instance, at the bar you met her, you'd have to pay 100% cash all the time, and hope they don't have cameras. If there was ever a thread to remind guys to wrap it up, it is this one. Holy hell.

"We" don't miss the gym. That's not what "we" do. After a massive cheat meal, "We" gotta hit it hard the next few days! Never an argument on that. But leading via example is the best. I've noticed that when I get into my A+ fitness game and have the abs popping out (I hover around 12% BF, right on the cusp of where I can …

You must be young, which is cool. Here's my time-lapsed perspective as a early 30s guy: If you follow RP principles over time (lift, be successful, be social, and look the part), you will simply stop hearing shit like this. Your friends, however, likely won't follow RP principles, and will get fatter / married / miserable over time. They will have less bad things to say. People who are negative influences will slowly get filtered from your life. I simply don't hang out with anyone who would try …

Another thing nobody's realized: This puts her in your frame but with her language! How many times have you seen (or been in) an argument with a female where you made a logical point, and she said "But that's not the point!" ?? They say this phrase ALL THE TIME. It's at the top of their very own repertoire. So you're effectively using one of their own sayings against them. Seriously, what a bomb-drop this is. Simple yet brilliant post.

Honestly I don't know, since I'm not corporate or jumping around. It's probably a lot easier to negotiate with a different company because it's far more simple to walk. If you're in a current job and don't have a backup, it's harder to walk. Also, you could tell your current managers that you have a 20% raise somewhere, but even if you get it, they might not trust you and you might want to make sure you have a backup plan a year down the road if things go sour.

Consulting and contracting are great if you are seriously good at what you can do, and can handle the sales/marketing/networking component when needed. Many of the salarymen out there, especially the married ones, aren't willing to take on the risks involved. At worst case, are people willing to pay you $1000 for your expertise, even if it takes a week / 40 hours to get that $1000? If so, then you are skilled enough to start. If you can't do anything worth a grand, though, then you're not yet re…

Another idea, besides the dance lessons, is to know the words to as many good 'party songs' as possible so that you can sing along and tear it up with folks when it comes on. Know both the classics (ie AC/DC) to whatever shit is popular now. Singing along together builds instant rapport. After the song, then you make your [now easy] open. And kinda like OP said here... the more caveman, the better. Knowing the words gives confidence, which allows you to be LOUD, which is more fun

Good point. So I might as well explain a bit more on that: I hate monthly bills. They are killer. Amazon Prime, Spotify, Netflix, Hulu, Cell Service, Internet, Insurance, gym memberships, etc etc etc etc it adds up. If you run a business, they will add up even worse. I try to get away with as few of these monthly bills as possible. Some, like health insurance, you can't avoid, but you need to fight to keep them as low as possible. When I first started getting closer to my LTR, I had a "coming to…

I can't believe the amount of people in this thread who have allowed women to run them down on finances so badly. Even as a blue-piller I never allowed that. Current LTR, we started at 50/50 (NO shared accounts), and still maintain that for the 'stuff' and bills. But now that my business is doing better, I'm starting to take on more of the entertainment expenses. The goal is to "make the pain equal", so it's turning a bit more into 75/25 for fun nonsense. I have a lot of strong opinions on corporate America. This post is one such strategy, but I choose not to play it at all. This is a must-read article if you do intend to play it: http://anonym.to/?http://www.forbes.com/sites/cameronkeng/2014/06/22/employees-that-stay-in-companies-longer-than-2-years-get-paid-50-less/ Those I know who are "killin it" in corporate America are finding major raises every two-three years or so -- and it's not always with the same company. Facebook is an extremely devastating creature when you hit your 30's. One of the "games" I've been playing since reading TRP is to notice the exact picture where a girl has hit the wall when it comes up on your feed. It's just one of those pictures of a good looking girl where you're like "Ohhhhhhhh.... daaamn there it goes" I was seeing one damn near every week for part of this year. You can literally see the wall get hit. It's absolutely crazy.

By the time most self-improvers make a truly serious turnaround in SMV/fortunes, the women who were originally 8's and 9's will no longer be. Many rookies need to deal with the fact that they are not 'good enough' for a woman now, and now is what matters in terms of getting her. But keep working hard -- by the time you are 'good enough' for her current standards today, she will no longer be for you tomorrow. Understanding this will help you destroy any one-itis you've ever had.

I argue for this a lot. First off, we both have very different shopping styles, and I enjoy it a lot more alone (or not at all). But second, I feel that one of the points of being in a relationship is for the group-based efficiency. I grocer while you launder. I mow the lawn while you clean the house. Chore time is effectively cut in half like this. There's no point in having us both be at the store at the same time, unless you have a riot doing it together. It's essentially like having two peop…

Early 30s, LTR here. I'd say less than 10% of my friends/acquaintances are single. They are mostly quite happy and financially very free. My advice to is simply to hang out with younger people as your primary group of friends, and have some friends who are the same "ambition level" as well. This may mean you have to live in younger areas, but that's never a bad thing. When in my mid-to-late 20s, we had a guy who was in his early to mid 30s. He's a pretty natural alpha in any group, but it really…

Of the most successful people I know ($100-200 million net worth), I wouldn't necessarily classify them as "red pill", "alpha fucks" like we define it, or "beta bucks". I would simply classify them as total shit-kickers. They're gettin work done and doing huge things. General life suggestion: Live in areas where people are attractive. Beaches, young cities, college towns, etc. Competition is fierce and it makes threads like these a bit less scary. If you're surrounded by fatties and have the ability to live "ramen profitable" (or better) somewhere sexy, do it. Now. It's worth uprooting yourself for it. Seeing obese people on a regular basis should be the exception, not the rule. If your life isn't like that, then you need to move.

True, when it comes to publicly arguing with feminists. But where this is wrong is on the legislative level. At some point, men are going to need to attack the legal system that is ruining our lives with divorce and false rape accusations. That is a fight that may be publicly worth having. You want to know TRP stance on household chores? You take care of shit that needs to get done. The word "need" is where the arguments start for us. I date a very, very clean person, and I'm reasonably messy. We've had to break each other in. I am now far cleaner but refuse to ever do her OCD-level of cleaning, and she's realized she can slow down on it too. We're at our best ever situation with this, but it's still tough on occasion. This post is obviously amateurish, but this is a big issue for those of us in LTRs. It depends on so many things, from who's paying rent to who's shopping / running errands to who's paying for dates to who's doing chores etc etc etc. If you want a reasonable household, you can't have it all. You can't have her both split rent/expenses/utilities and do all the cooking and cleaning (although I've gotten it closer to this situation than I ever imagined possible). FYI: here's some research regarding testosterone levels and ejaculation: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12659241 The TL;DR is that your testosterone peaks at around 7 days of no ejaculation.
