All of the "just shame women!" and "government enforced monogamy!" is fantasy-land shit. Not only that, but it's a total violation of the concept of consent. Either people have the right to choose who they sleep with, for any reason or no reason at all, or they don't. Any attempt to "regulate" that will inherently be an attempt to undermine sexual and bodily autonomy. Advocating "social enforcement" is only ever-so-slightly less reprehensible. That's just tyranny of the majority at that point. I…

Good choice, he put this little "gem" on my subreddit the other day, and his post history is full of the same.

Doing good, thanks! Still enjoying my Gold powers of knowing when I'm mentioned. =P Re: Rule Zero: Aaah. How egalitarian of them. Seems like their community is imploding somewhat. "Think exactly the way we think or get the fuck out."

I agree with you. Control is possible, but it's never good for the person being controlled. I am curious as to what Rule Zero is. Couldn't find it in the sidebar.

I think you're hitting on the real problem here, which is that SMV is 100% subjective. My 3 might be your 8, and vice versa. I have met some smoking hot women that I wouldn't date if you threatened to cut off my nads with a kite screw. I've also met some plain women that some guys would've rated at a 3-5 that I would have loved to date. While there's a general consensus (and even that has exceptions) on physical attractiveness, there's a lot more that goes into SMV, and most of the non-physical …

legitimate authority figures within the MRA Sorry, I chuckled a little. I get what you mean, though. I acknowledge that it was a bit of a stretch to name Rodgers an MRA. However, I think it's a little bit... not dishonest, but maybe a bit optimistic and willing to overlook basic human nature to say that there is no one within the MRA movement who's the same level of crazy as Solanas.

You sure about that? A lot of people would say he was acting in a MRA capacity. His rhetoric was certainly very similar. I bet I could find you somebody else that's advocating killing women in the name of men's rights, too. There's always crazy people in any movement once it's gotten big enough.

Thanks. One more thing: Remember that there are extremists on both sides of any argument, and you're more likely to see them than you are to see the moderates that outnumber them. It's hard, but try to remember that if it seems crazy to you, it probably seems crazy to the majority of feminists, too; don't let the crazies color your perception of the moderates, and remember you're fighting against inequality, not against feminists. Your "enemy" is the state of things, not any group of individuals…

Examine always your motivations and emotional causes for everything you do. Pursue only equality, and do not allow yourself to overpush. If you perceive that you are at a disadvantage, push only to the line of balance, and no further. Make it clear as you push what your stopping point is. Don't try to make up for deficiency in one area by upsetting the balance in your favor in another. In this way, many feminists (not the radical ones) will be on your side. The intelligent ones (yes, they exist;…

So you're disagreeing with certain styles of game. That doesn't contradict red pill theory, you know. Yes, I know that. I was very clear about that when discussing Red Pill, especially in this thread. I know that not all RP approaches are the same. Don't emotionally abuse your partner / prospective date? Great! You're cool with me. Do you cause angst, uncertainty and fear in your SO so she'll appreciate you more? You're a reprobate and don't deserve to be happy. Either way, dread is a last-resor…

A man's goal is to be selected. He wants to be selected by as many women as he can. Fuck, no. I want one good one, thank you very much. Please do not lump me into that generalization. If a man decides to hand the reigns to his mate? We'll see how quickly attraction wanes. Depends on the mate. Some women like being in charge, and some men are content to let it be that way. That's why communication is important. Everyone's different, and you've gotta find out what works for you. If done properly, …

So, your strategies are at odds... I wouldn't say that. You're meeting two puzzle pieces to see if they join. There's no one side or another. In a way, you're cooperating even then; if they don't like you, that'd be a shitty relationship to be in. So a rejection is just figuring out that you'd be bad together. That's nonsense. As a man, I simply cannot decide, you know what, maybe I'll just sit at a bar and look pretty, and wait for women to approach me! You're right. That'll never happen unless…

Again, you're projecting. Your feeling on our strategy is that we're treating women like enemies so it doesn't make sense. Dread Game, Black-knighting, etc. is pretty damn adversarial. I know not all RPers support it. Those that don't, cool. But those are the behaviors I don't like. That's a useless distinction to make, because it's not true. They want high quality males. They don't care which way you go, and when you don't pass, they really don't want you around. I don't think this is right. He…

Yeah, there's a difference there. There's always going to be differences. They're never going to go away, and they're probably never going to be fair But what's the point here, in the bigger context of our conversation? What relevance does this have to adversarial strategy within the context of an existing or budding relationship? Furthermore, I wouldn't necessarily classify those first-contact interactions as adversarial. There's a test going on, yeah. And in some ways, yeah, they're looking to…

Believing that, can you answer any questions above? Why do men approach? Why are women selective? Why isn't it 1 for 1? Why do men struggle with this? Because you're not in the relationship, yet. You're not "on their team" yet. You're auditioning. As far as why men approach and women are selected, it's because our society has built up the expectation that women are the gatekeepers of sex. Yeah, it's like that a lot. But when I say it doesn't have to be, it's not this pie-in-the-sky, wishy-washy,…

See, you cut out the bullshit and your post was to the point. Was that that hard? Experiement: 1 woman approaches 100 guys. 1 guy approaches 100 women. Any guesses to see who is more successful? Why do you suppose there will be a discrepancy? Obviously everybody wants intimacy. But why is there a discrepancy? Is it because what men and women value are two different things? No data. This is a thought experiment in your head, coming to a preconceived conclusion. It's literally worthless. It doesn'…

Because when I'm being like that, I expect my friends to give me a hard time too. So... you resorted to an ad hominem attack so that... what, so I'd throw one back at you and we'd have a chuckle? That's asinine. The fact is, you're afraid of scary words and competition. I'm not afraid of either. I just don't see a reason why I should have to scheme and plot and emotionally manipulate my wife to get what I want, when I know damn well she loves me and I can just ask her for it. There's no reason t…

Actually, this deserves a little bit better answer than what I gave the first time. So here: You resorted to ad hominem attacks. To me, that means our conversation is over. When I made a point, you threw me into a negative group in your mind: men who have been brainwashed by society into believing that they have to submit to women. You didn't actually address my point, you just called me names and then said my arguments didn't matter because I'm "feminized." You said I'm a man-slave... but you d…

Right, like I said, you don't like words that upset you. You project your bad feelings about the words to the strategies because you don't know any better! So you're just gonna be a jackass, now. Got it. You can't disagree with someone without resorting to ad hominem attacks. You use the phrase "it doesn't have to be" as though men are really the deciding factor in these economics. It's like telling hungry shoppers that food doesn't need to be that expensive. Well, that's great, thanks for telli…

So in essence, you're upset because the words used to describe what's happening are offensive to you? That's all I can think of here. I think I made it very clear that the adversarial nature of those strategies is what I object to. Ultimately, you can deny the economic forces at play, but you can't change them. Men do want sex. Women want high quality partners. Generalizations like that are dangerous, but that's a fairly safe one... Most people, man or woman, want both. Most people want both goo…

Alright, let me go through here and check off what applies... that a woman should be valued for her accomplishedness instead for her attractiveness and youthfulness Can we not value everything? Can we not value both beauty and ambition / intelligence? that a woman's sexual past and her decisions she made in that regard don't really reflect on her character as long as they are in the past, and that they should have no bearing on her value as a long-term partner that a relationship should be betwe…

The idea behind PM is that the current paradigm of sexual strategy that (at least the elements that I objected to of) RedPill espouses is an adversarial one, and extremely sub-par. Yes, of course every conscious action designed to accomplish a goal can be called a "strategy." However, I wasn't talking about strategies as a whole. I was talking about the idea that it's men vs. women. Men want sex and women don't want to give it. Etc.

Ah, I see. Well then, you know my idea of a "bluepill woman" now. Sorry if I snapped a bit. Other people are trolling me on this thread. Not a good way to start the day.

I may have bragged to my friends a little... =P But getting a bunch of internet points is no reason to think you're hot shit. Apparently a bunch of people needed to hear it, but as I see it, the piece I wrote wasn't all that revolutionary. I think it was right and I think it was of value, but I certainly didn't expect the massive reaction it got. Anyway, I enjoy talking about stuff like this. Glad I could contribute to your conversations.

yet it's essentially a bluepill place and its regularls are for all intents and purposes bluepillers in the TRP meaning of the word, only without the satire of the "official" TBP sub. Really? Because last time I checked, your idea of bluepill philosophy was that you bend over backwards for the hopes that women will notice and appreciate you... something PM doesn't encourage. All I'm seeing here is that you're still stuck in the dichotomy. "You disagree with redpill, and there isn't anything else…

So, for example, a bluepill man would assume that being nice, compliant, understanding and supportive of women regardless of what she did (in short: feminized) That's... not feminism. But I don't imagine I'll be able to persuade you otherwise. A bluepill woman would assume that her professional accomplishedness is a perk that counts in her favor and generally more important than her looks, that being snappy and sassy ("decisive and strongwilled") makes her more attractive, that it's better to se…

Isn't it obvious? The same thing as a blue pill man, but a woman. Someone who is emotionally dependent, doesn't stand up for themselves and doesn't value their own time and self.

Ah, excuse me. I sent it to the guy who posted it on TRP. Maybe it was a repost. Either way, you see it now. I just thought that the EMSK post was a little too distorting in its representation of us - a little distortion is fine, and bound to happen to anyone, but it was starting to get to TBP levels of "TRP is bad because it promotes abusing everyone else all the time" demagoguery. I'll be honest, I know more about TRP than I do then. I wasn't as informed as I could've been when I wrote it. If …

/u/strategicatomicmoose (What a name!) did an excellent job of explaining the crevices that the OP poked into and my intent behind saying what I said. Here's how I responded to the original author of the piece via private message, since I am not subbed to TRP: We disagree on some key points, mainly that sexual strategy is an inviolate part of human interaction. I don't think there's really any getting around that by arguing, for either of us. In the days and weeks that followed writing my post, …
