You and /u/Woujo are both downvoted because it's not a rookie mistake. I almost always give my number and would say get a text 3 out of 5 times. Indeed not always, but when I do, I know they're interested. It also shows that I'm casual. "Take my number, if you change your mind you can always delete it, but I'm sure you won't 😉".

If you want this girl to be your girlfriend I'd say be yourself as much as possible. If you're aiming for just sex, then you can adjust your personality to match what she likes. At the end of the day, if she is already into you that's because you've been doing you. Keep doing that

This is such a tough situation. Personally I've been going to the beach and bars (they're open where I am) so no one is wearing a mask. I think you can still ask a girl out when she is wearing a mask, if she has nice eyes or a friendly expression.
