OYS 30 25 6 foot 205 lbs single Reading TWOTSM I really wanted to make a post that had some real learning substance for once. I was fed up with checking in by stating my new realizations without feeling very different. It’s been some time and I feel quite different from my last OYS. To address the mid year 60dod, I have simply dialed in my lifting routine, and particularly my range of motion. I just wanna snatch 225, and the stretching is what is enabling my lifts to come up more than the streng…

OYS 29 25, 6 foot, 200, ~15% bf, single. Reading WISNIFG. Still a fantastic read even on idk how many times now. Exercise I have become a noticeably faster runner, but also look a little thinner than before. Thanks to being on a steady running program, and consequently putting in the work, I am a lot more satisfied with myself. I’ve also had the pleasure to invite specific friends along a few times, which is always enjoyable as they are similar hard working runners. In a lot of ways I could end …

OYS 28 Single, 25, good shape Rereading NMMNG right now as it has been a few months since I last read it. Gents, I am back from a long break from OYSs and it is good to be back. To keep things brief and extremely vague, I’m very thankful to have had the pleasure to take part in helping with the afghan evacuation. Today I am back to my normal work schedule, and therefore I can get back to focusing on my own development with a fresh perspective. The work I’ve done over the last 3 weeks is the some…

OYS 27 Short post this week. I’m reading the way of the superior man and when I say no I feel guilty. I heard back from the board and was not selected for my big career move, but was encouraged to reapply with a new package. This of course means I am even more acutely focused on making the best package I can for the next board. I am keeping my chin up and working my ass off to make sure I get picked up next quarter. It’s actually my last look so it’s do or die. This definitely made my week prett…

That’s a perspective I hadn’t strongly considered this week. I am going to need some time to figure out what’s really going on, how to deal with it, and come up with what I learned.

I think what I meant was that I am trying to avoid losing focus by tunneling onto my physique. I absolutely plan on coming back to my physique when it’s time, because I think it’s very satisfying to lift and diet clean. However, being diced with lean mass is not a good idea for me right now. Frankly, I am too big muscle mass wise for endurance sports and that’s a problem.

OYS 26; 24 yo, 6 foot 210 15% body fat. Post will be short. Reading WISNIFG, and the way of the superior man. I've continued to focus on leaning into fear and it's got me some more success. I've definitely gotten far better at pushing out of my comfort zone and saying fuck it we'll do it live. I continued to concentrate my main focus on DMing chicks when I subconsciously was avoiding it and I now have myself a plate. I landed an adjustable 6 and thus it's a baseline, but it's something I can bui…

OYS 25, 24, single, good shape Short post this week. Reading the way of the superior man Rereading wisnifg. I’m remaining focused primarily on physical fitness and recovery right now. It’s a major factor in my career goals right now without getting too specific. I’d say in that area I am really doing solid. My numbers are finally going up and I’m feeling stronger after a pretty long plateau. I’m sure less drinking and more sleep tends to help. I haven’t had as big of a focus on range of motion w…

OYS 24 24, single, 6' 205, ~16% bodyfat. Reading Way of the superior man. Rereading NMMNG, WISNIFG. Intro I more or less have my life boiled down to two things: My career goals My personal development Considering I have to wait to hear back about my career change package, I can really only work out and develop discipline. Therefore, my personal development will be what I'll be addressing today. I'm still very much focused on addressing fear. I've made some good leaps, but have some ways to go. W…

OYS 23, 24yo single and in good shape I had a few realizations this week, but not any new news per se. 60 DoD I would call a great success for me. The things like hygiene, exercise, etc were less critical for my development compared to facing fear. I’ve come to focus most of my internal dialogue to facing fear. The more I become keen to fear subconsciously stopping me from acting the way I want, the easier it is to just act. More so, there is less fear in general. It’s one part understanding I’m…

I see exactly what you mean and I agree. Regardless of the timeline, I ultimately said fuck it; if she’s not with me I have other options. What I really didn’t mention is I ultimately only give a shit about my career move right now. All the good feels on the side are just that, and that realization really helped me not get caught up in it all for very long. I do believe that realization is more critical than getting over it fast or slow. I just have more tools in that toolset for staying on my s…

Dude, thank you. Absolutely, it’s her loss and I’m over it. I was around her yesterday bowling with some friends. Figured I’d also see where I was at while I hung out. Sure, I still wanna bang but it’s just cause she’s a body and that’s the truth. I know she’s missing out, especially as I consider my progress and continue to develop. You’re right though, I’m still working on dialing back the perfectionism, and that’s definitely why I don’t give myself enough credit. I’m very glad you helped open…

OYS 22, 24yo and single Short post this week because there was less progress, but thankfully not much backward progress. Physical Training wise I am on top of my shit and my foot seems to be healing much faster now. I have done a fair amount more cardio and that’s given me much more energy. OYS 21, 24yo single and in good shape Last week I didn’t post because I didn’t prioritize my time well and decided I had little to say with change. However, this week is a little different and I made time. Boys, I am happy to say I got some tangible results this time. It’s been a few days so some of that temporary validation emotion has worn off too. The key for me was to address the fear. OYS 20 Single, 6 foot 200, 24yo So I am on crutches right now because I came to find out I definitely had a stress fracture from overtraining, soooo, I kinda have to slow it the fuck down. That being said, I still get in and do upper body twice a week and do my calisthenics. This might be true at your weight, but in my experience it really doesn’t matter. Bodybuilders have proven in different eras that either high weight or low weight is fine for gaining mass. Look at ronnie squat powerlifting numbers while bodybuilding for example. Your choice of exercises and rest between muscle groups is way more important than being high volume or not.

I wanted to read through this a few times before reaching back so I could really process things. There’s no question the progress is a little slower than when I started, but if I look back and reflect on how I was inside in October, it’s a night and day difference. I’m good with slower progress as long as it continues to be there. I had my hiccups with covid and some ups and downs, but committing to this has made me so keenly aware of the actual state of my higher confidence and self esteem. 60 …

OYS 19 205 single 24 good bf% Short post I bought some decent cologne, got a legit haircut, and some new hygiene items to clean up my appearance/scent for 60 dod. The haircut in particular was a great idea because I look a lot better. I put just a tad bit more effort into morning hygiene, and have a little higher attention to detail. Much thanks to the folks who came up with 60 dod. I believe I may have a new injury from overtraining. I think I just cranked up the running miles too fast, on top …

OYS 17 Single 24 205 lbs Week 1 of 60 DoD was pretty easy for me because I like lifting and used to demanding fitness goals prior to this challenge. It is nice seeing my lifts go up though with a lift first mentality. I am not much of a fighter but I decided to head and arm toss a friend of mine who was really testing my patience. I gave him some warnings and finally put my foot down. I wasn’t too angry or anything/ was pretty level headed. I’ve never really done that to anyone so I felt kinda b…

OYS 15 24, single, looking aesthetically good but getting back to phenomenal shape after getting covid. This is gonna be a tough one for me but I gotta own it. Up until Sunday I was getting pretty depressed, largely on account of how I realized I got too behind in school while I was sick, and I'm sure being locked up in my house for nearly 3 weeks. OYS 14 24 Single and in good shape I got COVID and was recovering all week. That virus wrecked my shit. I'm going to be in my house at least until the 16th. Yesterday was the first day I felt fully recovered mentally and physically, although I can tell I am not near in the cardiovascular shape I was in before. I maintain a planner pretty strictly. It’s a reason I’ve been able to juggle all this at all. I don’t think planning is as much of an issue as taking on a bit more than I have time for. I think cutting some shit out will be a better choice than planning more deliberately.

OYS 13 single 24 209 lbs 15% bf I'm mostly reading WISNFG and TWOTSM right now on audible. I think I was burnt out this week and I can see why. During the first half of the week, I was starting to wonder what happened to my energy. I had a pretty low sex drive; I didn't want to jerk off, talk to girls, and just felt tired. There's a couple different reasons I can see this happening to me. I think it has more to do with lower sleep on average lately from schoolwork. Tonight I am gonna sleep a shi…

I’ll get those audiobooks. You’re right. I believe it’s the latter because I have the space to work on internal change and push boundaries if I just detach a little more. It hadn’t occurred to me how hellbent I am on fixing my social life or that that exact mindset is keeping me from doing so. I’ll try detaching from outcome independence as well. Once again thanks. Single, 24, 6 foot, 209 lbs, Fit I've found my groove with extra workplace responsibilities, maintaining my exercise routine, adding school back into the mix, finances, and having a little bit of a social life. I’ll own up and reply on time from here on. I’m not that sure why I asked friends if they wanted to do it. It started as me laying out that I wasn’t gonna be drinking at any parties for a while, but I’ll still be going when I should. A couple others showed interest and it kind turned into this big group thing. That being said, I’m pretty sure I’m the only one doing it very seriously. I don’t think it was a validation thing because I don’t need validation on eating well and not drinking.

OYS 10 Happy New year folks. Single, 24, good shape. Rereading MAP then coming back to Bang. This week I adjusted my workout routine to include all the staple lifts once a week. Surprisingly I feel stronger on a few of them after taking 2-3 weeks off from pumping iron. I'm on top of my shit as usual here. First point, absolutely on point. I was reading that entire situation and outcome wrong. I think with more experience that will become less of an issue. On second point, I’ll come up with some ideas. I am not a huge coffee date fan either but it was probably a good move imo. I also can’t explain how helpful getting on the livestream was.
