It got a bad rep because the sub and other communites had people who vented after getting screwed by the system, ex-wives, or other women. They didn't exactly filter their words and society doesn't give men a pass if they say certain things out of anger or distress. Even though we have tons of women's communities where they blantantly say they hate all men with no consequences. I don't believe anyone saying such thing in a distress state truly mean it but regardless, it got the subs banned and t…

Probably not assuming she doesn't having any decision making power nor access to any priviledged info that's in the case. I work for a state run facility and if any family member gets admitted I literally couldn't touch their case or file, or handle any forms or processing that even tangentially involves it. I can only act in the capacity as a family member via another staff member and would still need approval from the person (for HIPAA and whatnot). But at the end of the day, a family member c…

I don't leave my car unlocked because "people shouldn't be stealing". I lock my car doors because it's a reasonble action to take in order to protect myself. Protecting yourself is what you can tangibly do RIGHT NOW to keep yourself from becoming a victim. You literally can't control what other people do. That's not to say society isn't attacking the problem from the other side. But there's nothing wrong with suggesting one take their own protection in their own hands in the meantime.

ChatGPT can only learn from what it gets from the internet. Yep, it's more of a sad indictment of the internet and society as a whole rather than GPT and its technology.

Give poor GPT some slack. It's been trained on a massive amount of text generated by the internet and the public in general. The biases reflected in that text (and therefore society as a whole) are also reflected in it's responses. It's not surprising it responded as it did.

Presently, when women say “no uterus no opinion”, they aren’t telling us to shut the fuck up and sit down. They are telling us to listen and to walk alongside them, but let their voices be the loudest. And if a man just so happens to "walk along side" pro-life women? See no matter what view a man has on the issue, there are women who share that view. So "no uterus, no opinion" either applies to both sides or neither.

IDGAF if this sub is banned. A good alternative is https://www.saidit.net/s/MGTOW/ and there are others listed in the sidebar there. (I'd stay away from Voat though. Kinda sucks there.) I'd say saidit is the best alternative by far though. Not much activity there than here but bookmark it and if we're banned we can make the jump and continue there seamlessly. We were lucky to make it through a couple ban waves but I believe the writing is on the wall at this point.

I essentially held MGTOW beliefs for the longest time without knowing it. Over the years on reddit I've mostly steered clear of all the gender-based horseshit subs but of course their bullshit would always crop into the rest of, at the time, civilized subs. When I'd come across such topics I always wondered why MRA was always ridiculously demonized and it was used as an insult. So I checked it out one time. Thought it was mostly innocuous topics there but one caught my eye about divorce and how …

Meh, I don't bother voting. You really think it's going to stop the eventual collapse? I just stay home on election day, doing essentially the same thing as everyone else. Except when I get done masturbating I'll have a little something show for it.

Good Samaritan laws only protect you against lawsuits against any harm done to the victim by your good faith attempts to save them from what would otherwise be death. For instance if you perform CPR and break the victims ribs during chest compressions you can't be sued for for that after the fact. GS laws won't protect you against any other accusations like sexual assault or whatnot.

It wasn't the woman who complained in the source I gave. It was the driver of the cab who called him a pervert and reported it to the police. And the police took him seriously and interrogated the guy. If you ask me, the fact that a bystander reported it instead of the actual victim is worse. There's always a chance the victim could be grateful for your assistance. Now you have to worry about idiots watching to think your CPR is harassment and next thing you know you're being detained, interroga…

What's funny about this ProJared situation is that even when his side was heard AND collaborated by another's testimony people are still villainizing him. Heidi claimed Jared was cheating and then POSTED HIS NUDES WITHOUT HIS CONSENT. Jared then posted a statement a few days later stating his side and that they had an open relationship. No one believed him. Holly then unprivated her twitter and posted her side which collaborated Jared's story. They STILL believe Heidi's BS story. Another example…

I like how he goes though naming all the victims as if he's implying the justice systems cares about them. The justice system doesn't give two shits about the victims of crime. Some of these sentences are insults to those who suffered at these criminal's hands. And it's not just the US justice system, you can find examples all over the world. Like that one Dutch judge that gave community service to the guy who ran over and killed a baby and her 2 grand parents. And when the father of the baby he…
