My best friend is the same way. Drinking is more his problem… but he only smokes here and there and from what I can tell, he's got a great life ahead of him. He's going to school, in great shape, and pulls girls 24/7. I just hope he's happy, because he sure does drink a lot.

Amazing. Just what I was looking for. I'm a good conversationalist when I know what I want to talk about, but I don't have textbook experience with how to get other people talking or engaging with me on another level. Thank you!

This is the kind of post title that gets our sub quarantined lmao Like we can obviously read between the lines but not everyone can, and this looks really bad y'all…

Yeah, and it works when he's speaking, but it doesn't stop other people from treating him like any other white person simply because he looks white

Funny you should bring that up…
/r/TheRedPill02/11/18 09:28 AM

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. I was saying that despite being a minority, he still gets treated like every other white guy, as far as the left is concerned. Video relevant to your quote: https://youtu.be/Y-XE5Zpu-Kw

Why scrape it when they have an API? Fellow developer here. Curious in case the scraping solution is better somehow

I blame that on technology and the rise of malign journalism. These people have always been around, but now they have a voice.

We literally went to war with Britain to get our independence. If you both consider that malign as well, I'll let it go.

This sub was basically created out of necessity due to the current social / political climate. Politics are the reason "toxic masculinity" is even a thing.
/r/TheRedPill06/10/18 07:46 AM

I'm genuinely confused. Feminism helped women earn the right to vote. Do you think that was malign?

Quarantining a sub has been a feature of reddit for years now.
/r/TheRedPill04/10/18 09:41 PM
15

Which is why they will not so much as utter a response, since it has not been a month and we have not held up our end of the bargain as they see it. That or they'll cite that new "positive masculinity" subreddit which is basically rTXC for men. The top post last time I checked was something about the importance of consent.
/r/TheRedPill04/10/18 05:52 PM

Yeah, it's for appealing allegedly valid quarantines, not for disputing invalid ones.

It's perfectly fine to use GitHub. Having it taken down doesn't mean we can't put it back up somewhere else. If we make it a private repo, it probably won't get taken down.

No one assumes "it's gonna be fake bro," we just believe innocent until proven guilty. The left doesn't, however, so it is shocking that they would choose to support someone accused of sexual assault. Regardless of whether we think it's true.

I highly recommend reading Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle. He talks a lot about friendship, and it's very red-pill. Or you can just read the sparknotes. They're almost as good.
/r/TheRedPill06/08/18 11:10 PM

Nothing. This post provides nothing of real substance. OP has left the blue pill mindset behind and is exclaiming a recent revelation he has had. If you're worth being faithful to, then not all women will eventually be unfaithful. Not even the majority (so no, not AWALT in this case). If you're a chump, then of course they'll all eventually betray you. But that's your own fault. And it's why most of us are here: to better ourselves and raise our SMV.
/r/TheRedPill20/07/18 07:25 PM
2

My point was that AWALT means knowing there are exceptions to the rules, but that the exceptions aren't worth considering. Which is what you seemed to be getting at in hindsight. Anyway, you seem to understand it. I thought your original comment was sarcastic, never mind!
/r/TheRedPill01/07/18 07:51 PM
7

I mean, AWALT doesn't literally mean we think all women are the same. Are you trying to suggest it does?
/r/TheRedPill01/07/18 07:35 PM

You have to at least be open to discussion. You seem to be, the person I replied to seems not. He doesn't ask a question, or even point out what he specifically thinks to be bad advice. He's here to troll, not to learn.
/r/TheRedPill01/07/18 07:33 PM
6

That's how all of TRP works. That's even how the Bible works at times. What is obvious to some may not be obvious to others; you can't write good life advice in a way that everyone will understand, short of writing an actual novel on the topic. Are you new here? Genuinely curious, not trying to sound standoff-ish.

You're taking the post too literally The advice literally states [literal advice] I don't know what I can say without repeating myself. Don't take it literally. Read between the lines, and tailor the advice to your own needs. Some guys need to be told to be over-confident to help boost their ability to be confident. If you don't, and you're already somewhat confident, then you can ignore it. You shouldn't apologize unless you really have to. And if you find yourself needing to apologize, if you'…

You are taking the post too literally. You don't have to be "Mr. Macho" 24/7. You just need to avoid being indecisive and unsure of yourself at all times. Being sure of yourself all the time doesn't have to mean being over-confident all the time. You and your relationship will fail the second the facade of whatever person you're pretending to be crumbles. It's also about teaching yourself to be this confident person. You might have to pretend at first, but eventually it will become you. And if y…

This post isn't saying you should come off as a womanizer. It's vague enough that you can see it either way, and choose what works best for you. The way I read it is that it simply tells me to be confident in my ability to keep my woman around, or at least confident in my ability to find a new one, should she leave me. Having options doesn't have to mean having a girl on the side at the ready.
/r/TheRedPill01/07/18 06:28 PM
3

I don't often read comments on TRP. Are there usually a plethora of blue-pill comments like this one? By users who take advice at face-value, and can't see how they might adjust and apply this advice to their own lives? Users who don't understand what AWALT means? (Not what the acronym says)

/r/TheRedPill02/05/18 09:43 AM

It's about a 50/50 split. But there's an inherent bias: men who frequently browse TRP statistically aren't in healthy relationships (if you're in one, you don't need help from reddit). Doesn't mean RP men are less common, just that they don't hop on Reddit and upvote posts like you're seeing.
/r/RedPillWomen30/04/18 09:15 AM
6

TRP has a lot of authors with a lot of different mindsets. Swaths of angry, bitter young men go there in hopes of validating their feelings => posts about how much women suck get upvoted to the top. You have to really sift through a lot of crud there to find good reading material. I usually only read things from "endorsed contributors."

This. The thing is that any decent looking girl has the potential to have tons of orbiters / followers. If you shy away from advertising yourself, obviously you won't have as many as you could. As an example, if you post a nude on Reddit and ink your Instagram or snapchat, you'll get 50+ new followers in ~12 hours.

This will never happen. The low life losers who go for sex robots aren't out there talking to girls anyway. That's maybe 5% of our real competition.
/r/TheRedPill17/01/18 11:50 PM

That is completely orthogonal to the problem here. Every one of you defending them seems to be missing the point. Of course they would win. But why didn't they show up? And why call the cops?
/r/TheRedPill07/01/18 09:33 PM

I don't think I can. I don't think the comedian could. I'm just curious as to why these women didn't show up. They seemed angry as hell and ready to kick his ass; they definitely could have done so. Aren't you curious?
/r/TheRedPill07/01/18 11:25 AM

I agree 100%. But that's not at all what I found the focus of the post to be. These women have a massive advantage and yet they still flaked on their chances to kick this guy's ass. Why?
/r/TheRedPill07/01/18 11:23 AM

No one here does. But lots of the writers here use satire, sarcasm, and a lot of assumptions about what the reader understands in their writing. People from \r\all often take stuff too literally or misinterpret meaning. Example: "no doesn't always mean no." It doesn't always mean no. But sometimes it does. Most readers here understand that. But to some people, it always means no. And those are the people who will think that by making this claim, we're saying it's okay to rape, because to them, i…

Yeah. I really want to work at Apple one day, but every single developer I follow who works there is as far-left as they come. If I did work there and they knew I supported the ideas presented in this memo, I'd be harassed until I quit. I have my suspicions that this is what happened to Max Howell, who worked at Apple briefly before quitting. He's very conservative/redpill, and makes it known to everyone. I did tell her it was satire. She believed me at first, but then she found his blog. There's really no defending the guy when he's spouting anti-gay shit and other stuff about how women shouldn't be able to vote, etc. There's also his infamous story about how he raped a girl. Buying shit for someone you've never met is a conscious choice. Being in grief is not. Being an orphan is not.

I know, I just didn't say anything. Lifting gets you big. Swimming will be great to get rid of the small belly I'm starting to develop, though. I'm considering joining the Crew (rowing team) to get the best of both worlds.

Yeah, of course. What I meant was "maybe it's in my head that I don't stress easily, or maybe I really don't."
/r/TheRedPill04/08/15 06:24 PM

Insightful! I've always had the feeling I don't stress out as easily as others. Maybe it has to do with having run cross country and track for years.

Swimming it is. Thanks man!
/r/TheRedPill04/08/15 05:14 PM

Yeah, I try to run hard or not at all. No treadmill either. I ran a decent 800M back in high school a few years ago. Swimming sounds like it might yield better results though, what do you think? (Lifting above all else of course)

Man, this hits home pretty hard. I live in a very small college town and I now realize I'm not going to have any luck sitting on my ass, swiping 3 or 4 girls a day on Tinder (very small town) and trying to play by TRP rules. It's not enough to act like TRP tells us to act around women and friends, especially if you're like me: 5'8" and 127 lbs. Thankfully I already have the discipline to eat right. Now I just need to start running and hitting the gym on a regular basis.

That's why "demand" is in quotes. Read between the lines a little :)
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/15 06:55 PM

Agreed. Who is to say Bob wasn't led on by Ann being friendly towards him? Ann was only being friendly. Bob took it the wrong way. Who is to say Ann wasn't led on by Alan having sex with her? (And who is to say it was Alan who initiated the sex?) Alan was just having a good time with Ann. She took it the wrong way. I realize this may come off as sarcastic if you disagree with me, but I'm being 100% serious.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/15 06:41 PM

Oh, don't be so pedantic. Many [women] think it's vile to demand access to someone's body. Men bad. Many [women] think it's inappropriate to demand access to someone's time, in this case a relationship, but they don't necessarily think it's "vile." Women good.

You might want to look up the definition of confident and of aggressive, though, as they aren't synonymous. I think that's the point he was making. A lot of BPrs like to confuse the two.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/15 06:17 PM

I should have been more clear. We don't have NYT articles written about our so-called suffering. I would also argue that men actually suffer when it comes to sexual frustration and that the women here are actively choosing to be alone rather than date someone who isn't as alpha as they'd like, but that's another discussion entirely, haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/15 06:06 PM

The point is we aren't "suffering" because of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/15 05:46 PM

Let me rephrase that, you don't have the right to prevent others from offending you. I can call you a nigger-loving-faggot-slut if I want to and you have to deal with it.

TRPers blame themselves for their problems 100%. But to deny what we were taught would be willful ignorance. We are taught that women are wonderful, and we need to make other men aware of it. This is where the red pill metaphor comes in. You can take the pill and set yourself free, or take the blue pill. If you take the blue pill, it's your own fault. But it's up to those of us who do take the red pill to give every man that chance.

Why is her list nonsense? I think subconsciously, she knows these things to be mostly true. She tried to be funny by generalizing the "negative" qualities of men. She succeeded, however, thinking negative meant untrue.

Most of these could be applied to either sex, really. All are true of the general population. Except the last point. Those kinds of dudes are usually still chasing after babes and buying them stuff, even in their later years, haha.

You're not like that at all? You never lose control of your anger? You've never been in a fight? You don't prefer the physical affection of a woman who loves you to the restraint of a woman who says she does but doesn't show it? You don't believe women are inherently better at taking care of children? That evolution has nothing to do with their caring nature? It doesn't ever get to you when your SO disagrees with you on something others might consider trivial? You don't get lazy when you don't h…

This. I was surprised to see the top comment simply suggests OP should retaliate against his mother. As if she's the only one doing anything wrong, as if that will do any good, as if it'll make his dad turn his life around after all these years. OP's father made two mistakes here: Cheating Letting his life fall apart because he stuck around after cheating However, his mother made the same mistake as his father: sticking around. How can you blame her for the way she treats him now? Can anything l…

You're totally right, if he still goes on the trip. He should 100% not go on the trip. If he goes, it's over, of course. If they discuss (which they have not) and he decides not to go, there's no reason to throw away 5 months of effort.

He could bring a guy friend along. Why does it have to be a two person trip?

Sure thing. Also, everyone else seems to be telling you you should just cut ties now, but I think you two still have a good chance. This situation isn't as black-and-white as everyone makes it seem. :)

I don't either. I can count the sex I've had on one hand. But I would not plan a trip like this, because I know I wouldn't be able to control myself if I were on a 3 week trip with an attractive girl. So I wouldn't put myself in that position at all. Yes, there is a chance nothing will happen. Everyone here is exaggerating, to an extent. But what we're saying shouldn't be taken lightly. I think it's more likely that something will happen than not. And yes, just because it's never happened doesn'…

In situations like this, we men know we wouldn't be able to resist if Anna came onto us on the trip. He might not be going with the intention of a fling, but if Anna is, or if things just get out of hand, it will happen. He knows this. Bring it up. If he insists otherwise, he is lying. If he cares at all about your relationship he will not put himself in the face of temptation like that, as badly as he wants to go.

Even if nothing happens, it's just not appropriate. A trip like that should be with you, not her.

I was just about to say this. I do this without realizing it sometimes.

I think you missed the entire point of this post. It's not about insecurity, it's about not wasting your own time with a woman who isn't willing to do X with you for whatever reason (lack of respect for you, doesn't find you attractive enough, etc).

Threatening to leave, so you don't actually have to leave. If things didn't go as OP had intended, he could just as well change his mind about leaving or tell her to leave instead.

That was kind of my point, but you put it into words in a way I couldn't. Thank you.

Everyone does this. Everyone lies. Everyone wants everything to go their way sometimes. Everyone is capable of change, some more than others.
