3	The idea of the man flu My understanding is that men are more susceptible to influenza. That is to say, a strain of influenza that women would have mild symptoms or be a-symptomatic, men would have worse symptoms or be symptomatic. I’ve not looked into it closely but it came up as a topic when Covid first struck and conversations about mens higher mortality rates briefly hit the news. 2	I’ve realised why I hate how romance is portrayed in movies and the media. There’s a old and popular Japanese novel by Natsume Soseki called Sanshiro which came to mind when you mentioned ‘harem’. It’s a serious coming of age novel about a young man who moves to Tokyo to study at university. 2	The Women Are Wonderful Effect Behind "Pick Me" Call-outs I think it says more about the women who use the phrase more than anything else.
