Kinda. I had this happen to me once back when I used to work at a grocery store. I really wanted to tell her "Maybe you should smile more," but I resisted the urge to. I instead ignored her and rolled my eyes.

Damn, no playing with Legos or doing other fun stuff, just sex, that kind of relationship sounds boring as hell. I wouldn't want to be romantically involved with someone who thinks that this is good advice.

I would never date down. But I define dating down as dating someone who has qualities that I find to be unattractive/dealbreakers (like for example: smoking/vaping, promiscuous, atheist, fat, hates children, political extremist)

Not exactly the same thing but one of the founders of American first wave feminism and the first ever female senator was a pro slavery white supremacist. Her name was Rebecca Latimar Felton. Actually there are a lot of other women like her from that time period that for some reason are never mentioned by the history books.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 09:03 PM

I don't hate promiscuous women but I try to avoid them. I'm a bit particular about the kind of people I choose to associate with.

The problem with your post is that it doesn't acknowledge the nuances of relationship roles (excluding giving birth), it pretty much says that if you want to have children you have to abide by strict black and white gender roles. Even your definition of the 50/50 model lacks nuance and most likely isn't how most couples operate. My point is that each individual couple should decide for themselves what works best for them and their situation because what works for one couple might not work for an…

How often do you guys feel like you’ll be put in a position to help/defend random women? Why do you feel as though you’re even equipped to do so? If I’m in danger, you’re probably in danger too, lol To be fair I have seen some women on Reddit preaching about how men should hold other men accountable and how they should defend women.

I go to Starbucks 3 times a week, yet I don't normally stay and sit around and stuff. Outside of work I generally avoid talking to women that I don't know. I mean I do eventually want to find someone, but at the same time I've seen how difficult dating is for other men which really makes me think "is dating actually worth it" Edit: also, the woman who complain about men not approaching should probably try approaching. I wouldn't mind if a woman approached me first, I do generally respond positiv…

It's kinda hard to accurately plan that far ahead in terms of relationship dynamics if you don't have a specific man that you are interested in. But it's important to keep in mind that some effort is better than no effort and comparing yourself to other women is pointless.

I do think that it's a little sad that a girl that I've known for 3 months that I met at work is more supportive of my goals and dreams than anyone in my family. I don't really have mommy issues or daddy issues, but my parents act all pessimistic whenever I mention that I want to pursue a career in writing. I just wish that they were more supportive. I do often wonder if other men are in similar situations: where their parents try to discourage them from pursuing a creative career because of AI …

It slightly irks me when people post stuff like that. Because it seems to encourage men to be performative in order to show that they are 'safe'. Pedro is very physically touchy because it's how he was raised and also it calms him down. The actors that he interacts with know this and are okay with his quirks. So it feels disingenuous when people take those clips out of context and use it as a example of what all men should do in order to attract women. And is Pedro even straight???

There's no empathy or compassion or care, it's more just "we have to out of principle" and political narrative gains. This is why I never will consider myself to be a leftist. Many of them are so blinded by their victim complexes that they end up becoming bigots and justify it just because they don't support Trump. Ultimately many just don't think that it's worth it anymore. The effort it takes isn't worth the results. When you see so many men talking about their failed marriages or getting cheated on, it becomes harder not to ask questions like "is dating even worth it anymore?" women: very selective about sexual partners Jokes on you, I think that's a good thing. A woman who is willing to have sex with just any man is not someone who I would be interested in dating.

Calling women "homophobic" just seems dismissive Can you think of another reason why a woman would make such a big deal about her boyfriend being bisexual other than homophobia?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 07:24 PM

The same argument can be said for things like monogamy, marriage, and men being the ones expected to propose. These are all traditional things that are still practiced in many modern relationships. My point is that there's a lot more nuance to this debate than just traditional vs non traditional because even your typical "modern western women" isn't a complete opposite of the traditional woman.

I just want someone who is willing to put the same amount of effort into the relationship as I do. Traditional, modern, I don't truly care. Also let's not pretend that just because someone is a "modern western woman" that automatically means that they're willing to pay or split the bill.

Probably very similarly to the way I currently do. Someone on here once told me that I think like a woman, and honestly they might be right. What kind of people do you tend to crush for? Taken people, not on purpose. It's just a coincidence that the girls I like are usually happen to not be single. And besides, all of OP's posts come across as mean spirited rants that are a byproduct of her insecurities.

I think you and many Democrats vastly overestimate the amount of people that voted for Trump just because they can't get in a relationship. This is the kind of c0pium that really makes American Democrats seem very out of touch with reality. I recall last year I watched a YouTube video of a Russian woman explaining why she endorses Donald Trump for president and I found myself actually agreeing with a lot of what she said despite my negative opinion of Trump. A lot of her points had to do with th…

do you ever worry that someone could easily lie about their n count Somewhat. If you’re dating someone completely outside of your social circle, how could you know if the person’s telling the truth Ask questions related to the topic in order to find out her opinion on casual relationships. What’s the point in asking if someone could easily lie, and you’d have no idea? To see if they're okay answering uncomfortable questions.

I've read a lot of OP's previous posts on this subreddit and have concluded that she thinks that men should put a lot more effort into relationships than woman do. She only cares about how women benefit from a relationship, which is why she thinks that women supporting their boyfriends is pick me behavior. OP even made a post criticizing men for not approaching women just because it meant that women would have to approach men now.

I generally am more afraid of women than I am of men just because of past experiences with bullying and physical abuse. This also means that I find it easier to trust other men than women. The reasons why I have such high standards for relationships have to do with not wanting to end up getting divorced like my parents and also due to me being on the asexual spectrum. The 2 qualities that I think are red flags are that she doesn't want children and that she's a Athiest.

As a former incel, this idea doesn't sound very appealing to me. Mainly because of the "blue haired lefty" part. 0, I never have really cold approached anyone. I am honestly quite anxious about speaking to strangers (especially women) so I don't talk to random people unless I have to or they speak first. Despite my paranoia I still would rather cold approach than to use dating apps. At least with cold approaching you are talking to the person in real life and can more easily establish a connection with them.

This whole post is a great argument as to why using dating apps in 2025 isn't a good idea. This is the only subreddit where I see people getting mad about men having standards. Should men just go for women that they don't find attractive or appealing, is that what you're trying to advocate for? Thinking about dating and attraction in a purely logical sense is quite unhelpful and ineffective because some preferences can't be explained by logic.

Well I guess that pretty much every American politician (including the president) is lonely. Correlation isn't always causation. Just because someone is lonely doesn't mean that they are selfish. And just because someone is selfish doesn't mean that they are lonely.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 02:38 PM
1

Notice how she's the only one who mentioned loneliness.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 01:24 PM

I'm not redpilled but I also refuse to be bluepilled. I tend to operate based on reciprocal effort. Like for example, I'm not going to buy flowers for someone unless I 100% know that they would do something similar for me. Doing so otherwise would be simpy.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 12:19 PM

They are the hypergamous ones. Not women. So basically, "mEn bAd, wOmAn aRe sAiNts". Your comment is so fucking hilarious to me, because I've been telling people here that men in general should raise their standards because too many men settle for the first lady that gives them attention. Men should be less willing to accept gold diggers or people who don't genuinely love them, but unfortunately many are just to avoid being lonely and because they feel like they don't have many options.

We just want to be loved and appreciated
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 12:57 AM

I do deny your claim. But why? I would like to know the real reason why you care so much about male hypergamy. It is delusional to think the men are there for the food and not for the thin, attractive, significantly younger and more beautiful women. There's also a bunch of old ladies entering the restaurant in the video. Are those old ladies lesbien?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 12:54 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/25 11:35 PM

You know, I've realized that the only people who complain about male/female hypergamy are the people who don't benefit from it and are salty that they don't.

Skinny white girls with blonde hair. When I was younger I had zero interest in romantic relationships but I do recall that in elementary school a few of the girls who were nice to me had the description that I described above. There have been times where I liked someone who wasn't my usual type. Like last year I liked this redheaded girl who was bisexual and earlier this year I liked a Hispanic girl who had dark hair.

Men absolutely are not turned on by kindness. All that matters are looks. I have a long list of standards for a potential girlfriend that are mostly based on personality (kindness is on the list, I don't want to start a family with a piece of shit). Would you like to see the list?

I personally am 20 and I don't find older women appealing at all for quite a few reasons: They're most likely at different stage of life than I am. Not much in common (I collect Legos and watch kids cartoons for crying out loud) Experience isn't always a green flag especially if they treat you more like a student rather than a boyfriend. This especially applies to sexual experience as I am a virgin and want to date someone who isn't very sexually experienced. Also more likely to be a mom

People are concerned about World War 3 happening, meanwhile I'm worried about this intense heat outside, it's 90 degrees where I'm at (32 Celsius in case the non-Americans were wondering). Hopefully it won't be so bad tomorrow morning because I have to go to work and I'm kinda sensitive to the heat.

Not to sound like a doomer but this is one of those "damned if you do, damned if you don't" kind of situations that I've seen my fellow men fall into. There are many people who think that asking for permission too much kills the mood, but there are people with the exact opposite sentiment. Both are valid preferences but it does cause confusion and miscommunication.

So let me get this straight, you don't think that a woman has ever reacted negatively to a man opening up about his problems in an appropriate and mature way? Women don't mind men emotional vulnerability in men so much as we are thoroughly sick of having to constantly nurture men through their self-inflected crises and "vulnerable" times only to be completely abandoned or more often victimized by the male partners when we have emotional problems. Prime example of the halo effect.

No. Because less than 5% of the population is asexual and out of those people that are asexual only 10% of them are men. Here's a source, since I actually do research. You might have chosen the worst possible person to say this crap to. I have rejected everyone who has tried to ask me out or had a crush on me. I'm asexual so I don't have much of a desire for sex, which just means that I'm quite picky about who I like. I'm perfectly okay with dying alone if I don't meet the right person. I just wish that more men had my kind of mindset in regards to relationships.

/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/25 06:19 PM

don't think there's anything redeemable about denying her her freedom. I view it more as asking for a chance, as sometimes people can change their minds about someone who they misjudged. If she's absolutely sure that she doesn't want to be with me, that's also ok. I just want to make sure that she's 100% certain that she's making the right decision. I mean who knows maybe me and her could just be friends or maybe I won't even like her at all and just will immediately sign the document upon first…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/25 05:48 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/25 05:16 PM

Because I want to try to get along with others and work through our differences? Yeah that makes so much sense....... God forbid a man actually tries to see the good in people and is a optimist. If me and the government girlfriend can't seem to get along at all, okay that's fine we just go our separate ways.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/25 05:09 PM

what if she tries to kill you? Call the police and sue the government. or worse dead bedroom you? That's the worst thing you could think of? Look, if things just don't work out at all, I will sign.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/25 04:52 PM

My brain would tell me to sign it, mainly due to peer pressure from the government gf and my desire for peace. My heart would tell me not to sign it, because there might be potential for us to eventually like each other if we at least try to get along. Naturally I would follow my heart.

That video slightly restored my faith in humanity.

Well I can explain that behavior. It's a status symbol even though it functions the same way as similar items. I am 20 and i personally have no interest in dating someone who is 5+ years older than me. There are a few reasons why: They are at a different stage of life than I am. They are most likely well established in their careers or are not in college anymore. I prefer someone who is more at my level in terms of dating experience. I also feel like someone who is around my age is less likely to have a issue with me still living with my mother and having never been on a date before.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/25 09:05 PM

You must think clearly. Is it a good idea to enter into a relationship with someone who is just visiting? Unless you're okay with long distance relationships, that doesn't sound like a good idea. /r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 07:50 PM

Is it bad that when I do eventually have children that I want to be the primary caregiver of the kids? I want to be the one who takes them to school everyday, cooks dinner for them, and reads them bedtime stories. Like I do not have much interest in traditional family dynamics, I prefer to do things the way that best suits me. I still would have a job though.

Oh look, more childish gender war ragebait. This post operates on what I like to call "Kindergarten logic". So Jimmy thinks that it's okay to do bad things to others just because someone did something bad to him.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 02:41 PM

Did you hate men (in general)? Did you blame all of your problems on men? Did at one point in your life you struggled with dating so much that you started to deeply envy and resent women who were more successful than you? This isn't rocket science. Humans desire companionship, but when they keep on falling or are discouraged from finding that companionship it usually leads to them becoming incels/femcels. There's a general stigma against seeking companionship with AI or sex robots and plus sex robots are expensive. It seems that I misinterpreted your original post, I thought that you were defending stereotypical gender roles that Conservative individuals try to impose onto others. Now that you've further elaborated on your point, I honestly kinda agree with some of your points.

You seem to be putting men into a specific frame and being upset when a man doesn't fit the typical provider frame. Which I do find problematic, because it assumes that society will only function when everyone fits into a certain frame. Although there are some traditional beliefs that I think are valid, reducing men to certain "masculine" roles is not one of them. And time and money are precious, both men and women shouldn't have to waste their money and time on someone that brings no value to t…

I feel like a good rule of thumb when it comes to having standards for relationships is that if you can't name at least 2 people (excluding celebrities) you have met that meet most of your standards, then your standards are probably too high. I consider my standards to be quite high, yet I can name at least 4 people that meet most of my standards (3 of them are not single but that's not the point)

This is the wrong reason to not have respect. Oh that's cute, but I don't give a shit about the "correct reason".
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/25 03:09 AM

I honestly have near zero respect for men who would give all their hard-earned money away to someone they barely know. They do not respect themselves or their future and actively encourage selfish gold-digging behavior. The worst part about it is that they give their money to people that aren't even worth it. Not sure about the US, It's different here in the US, there's only a small percentage of women in manual labor jobs (construction, carpentry, electrician). Even back when slavery was legal, the female slaves usually did housework and the male slaves were out in the fields picking cotton and plowing.

It's like, what if you find something out about your date that's a major dealbreaker or your date ghosts you after you took her out to some fancy restaurant and you paid? You are cherry picking your own post just to make it seem like what I'm saying is wrong.🤣 My point is: Do you have any hobbies besides saying negative stuff/hating on men? Because based on your comment and post history, I doubt so. I mean, I doubt that anyone who only posts negative stuff about the opposite sex is very happy with their life or has interesting hobbies.

they feel insecure and challenged by women who are more successful than them especially. It's no secret that successful people usually surround themselves with other successful people and prefer to date others who are on their level. The insecurity comes from the belief that a successful woman will leave a non-successful man when a more successful man comes along. Basically they're afraid that successful women are classist/elitist. they hate feminists and prefer tradwives They hate feminists for…

It's their replacement for religion (if they lack any beliefs/don't belong to one). I've noticed that there are some who are also into Paganism (witchcraft). People need a moral compass for life, and when they are unable to come up with their own they rely upon things like the Bible or astrology to fill in that role.

Is it really that hard for people to acknowledge that playing the "who has it worse" game is pointless and childish? Everyone has their own privileges (especially if you live in countries like the US, Canada, the U.K.) and everyone also has their own issues. Whining and crying about who has it worse only diminishes and undermines the issues that other people face, it doesn't solve anything it only serves to make things worse. This situation is a perfect example of the bandwagon mentality. Your friend's wife jumped on the "nitpicking bandwagon" when the other lady started to criticize your friend. Your friend's wife changed her behavior not because of anything he did but because the other lady started nitpicking him. (Also side note, the wife's friend sounds like someone who is very overly judgemental and has a narrow view of what makes a man masculine and her behavior is starting to spread to your friend's wife)

I don't like the concept of online dating. Where's the genuine connection, where's the intoxicating romance? Instead, it's relying on algorithms, texting, and judging people solely by what they put into their dating profile, and hoping that they respond to you instead of the 70 other guys who also matched with her. I'd just rather look for another speed dating event or meet someone through my job.

Dating apps just seem like a waste of time and money in the year 2025. I've heard from many men and women about how depressing their experiences on dating apps were and how meeting people in real life is better. The thought of swiping through hundreds of people on a app never did seem very appealing to me.

For many people there is usually something negative that inspires their actions for some it is lust or gluttony, for me it is envy but I don’t envy the rich and famous. I more envy the people around me who seem to be doing better than I am. But envy is like a double edged sword, sometimes it inspires me, other times it hurts me. That's ironic coming from the dude who openly stated that he's willing to have sex with his own mother.
