TRP does more than give advice; it attaches understanding of the advice given, making that advice more solid and realistic that the oft-pedalled detritus most spooge out of their faces. Advice in a vacuum without understanding why that advice is good (be funny), why that advice must be followed (girls like funny guys), and what situations and scenarios have led to needing that advice (funny guys are attractive), are all moot. TRP attempts to look at the situation we're in, then look at what caus…

I think, in it's basest form, it's a sexually-tailored advice forum for some men looking for a certain type of woman.

the men attracted to the red pill and it's teaching are men who haven't had any or many women, or had a bad experience with one women that left them particularly scarred for whatever reason Anecdote incoming: I've seen a lot of women, and was employed as a male escort for a time after university in a large northern town in England. RP teachings often agree with my life experiences, especially when dealing with career orientated, post-wall, and childless women, but most advice will work for most …

I think trying to make ourselves find the funny side of what we say will only make people hate us more. Serious business must be treated seriously, add to that the fact that not many men feel anywhere close to being amused shortly after they've realised their errors. We get past it; I cringe at past-me and what he failed at all the time, and whilst it can be amusing when told in an amusing way, it kinda hurts to remind myself of it nevertheless.

I ascribe to some RP theories, and am not of the opinion I need to be a MGTOW or abscond from relationships altogether. I've got my unicorn, and explained our relationship dynamics previously in at least one thread. What I apply from my RP ideology has worked, and continues to work. [Unicorn = The woman most ideal for you.] Whilst there's a lot of men over on RP that would agree on what they consider to be 'good enough' to settle for; we all want our own unicorn, because we're all different and …

Well said. That's exactly how I feel on the subject too. I said on a previous post somewhere defending TRP that the only thing we're really doing, when we get down to brass-tacks, is going after what we want, and not stopping until we've got it. I'm not going into "what we want" because I cannot comment on us in that way; it's all personal to context. Look at capitalism, look at (ancient) governments, look at royalty, look at colonialism. It's all, every-single-fucking-part-of-it, based on takin…

HR staff at my company have refused interviews, when recommended internally, because they haven't been given (or seen) the go-ahead on the C.V originally. They have huge phantom-power-boners and anything logical, like increasing efficiency, is taken as a personal sleight and a de-facto reason for stonewalling. That's not even my problem, although there's a massive element of that. I don't understand how someone who has no experience of doing the job being advertised can mediate whether another p…

Throughout my education I've covered subjects (up to degree/college level) of Biology, Mathematics, Psychology, Physics, Chemistry and English Lit/Lang, over two stints (separated by a degree). Being 28 I consider myself as having seen enough of the world, and learned enough about things that help me understand the world, to be able to make judgements on human behaviour, and even science to a degree (although it peaks off at more specialised levels). I explain this because I have learned we are …

Of course judgement can be honed you silly-billy. You know the game, darts? You know how you throw that little spiked dart into the board at the other side and try to get points based on the accuracy? That act of throwing and hitting the target can be worked out mathematically, and using Newton's Laws. The same goes for snooker, pool and football, possibly even games like cricket or baseball, and especially basketball too. You could probably get a machine to do them easily with the right know ho…

You cannot quantify social interaction scientifically though. If you cannot attain 100% accuracy in any scientific model and construct, then why resort to demanding scientific evidence for an impossibly-tasked scientific hypothesis, based on social interaction of the sexes? If (and I would hope science one day comes through in my favour) science is incompatible with social interaction studies, then all we are left with is heuristics. If all we are left with are heuristics, then we MUST use what …

Doesn't the ability to denounce someone as "shitty" come from the experience of knowing what a shitty person is, or has done? Or perhaps reading the signs leading up to the event where they are going to become "shitty"? Having the judgement to know this is a required tool you must have if you want to avoid dating a shitty person. That requires experience, or listening to people who have had that experience. We listen to people with a greater experience than ourselves in a given field; they are t…

Would it be okay to ask that if roles change, expectancy towards the people in those roles should change, as well as their expectancy of others in 'less traditional' roles? I'm all for women working in dangerous jobs, going to war, being bodyguards, etc. but if after doing all of that they still want, or lust after a man who can and does do more then what? How do you propose we combat the difference of 'what I want to do' against 'what I want'? From what I have seen in the Western World women ar…

Has society ever put forward ideas that, when adopted, have caused strife, anger, disparity, injustice and unfair treatment? Any you can think of recently in the last 100 years? And, do you think it capable of misinformation, or the stirring of people to action through ignorance? Could the above truths cause people to be (rightly) distrustful of typical societal 'norms' and therefore be confused as to their internal wants and externally enforced ideals? Would you walk into a mental hospital and proclaim that they're a bunch of fucking retards because they're acting retarded? Yes, they're retarded, but they're acting like that because of several valid reasons, like their brain structure, or a history of abuse. I'll have you know fangasm is all about us; many people portray it, exude it and are touched by those that are fangasmic themselves. It's part of the culture, a learned behavour and you haven't learned it, which is why you're ignorant of what it takes, and that's a shame. But seriously, if you're failing in your relationships or in attracting people, it's because you're not fangasmic; so be fangasmic. I can't tell you what it is, because what I find fangasmic you might not find to be exactly the…

The scientific method are the only tools we've ever developed that can model everything we observe with reasonable accuracy. Science has proven that we're made of atoms, which are made of particles which are both there and not there. There is a duality in that, and the truth is that they are both. Science "truth" hasn't made the situation easy to understand, and hasn't given us a reasonable answer. You have to wonder if our tools of measuring fail to help understand the situation, and I believe …

I want the best I can get. It's not related to how good I am, or I perceive myself to be. I don't have to hold myself to the standards I want in another. We are not owed things because we are; we get things we want because we take action to acquire them.

It's easier to remove yourself from a bad situation than to change the situation. The state of dating, women and expectance, along with divorce laws, alimony and child support dictate that the situation is too difficult to change, so the advice is an avoidance of that.

So we're all ignorant of what we know, unless what we know can be observed, tested and proved? What about the people that have the correct answer but are lacking proof? They're still correct, whether the evidence is there or not, right? What we're talking about is your willingness to be 'hard-and-fast' in only believing what is 100% provable, or your willingness to test ones instincts and acquired knowledge, as well as personal perception and intution. How are we funny though? What is funny? If I told you that you had to be 'fangasmic' in order to attract people. You might be relieved I've told you what to do, but now you have no idea how to be it. I'm aware that I'm capable of being fangasmic, but you have no idea how to be like that. You only know it works. You cannot teach someone how to be funny, it's pretty much all on them to learn and execute it. Not only that, but you're not guaranteed that your particular brand of funny, or in the cas…

Red Pillers are fond of saying NAWALT as a retort when women say they don't exhibit the thought patterns we ascribe to our perceived understanding of their actions. In short, it means 'not all women are like that'. I know from /r/thebluepill that when members defend our responses that we, in ignorance, are actually saying 'not all red pillers are like that'; NARPALT. But here's the thing: TRP regularly posts things that do not fit in the frame of the man (the father) that you give as an example. I doubt this 'role model' has ever claimed women to have no honour, or that women are devoid of logic. I doubt he thinks women are incapable friends for men. I doubt this role-model considers himself to be 'alfa'. I doubt he looks down on 'betas' for being 'doormats'. I doubt he thinks any of that. Oh, she absolutely offers to do this, out of respect for us both, and when there comes a time that I need to take her up on the offer I will not hesitate to do so. I'm not going to 'not' let her handle something purely on the basis that I must handle it (apologies for the confusing double negative). I don't feel a "right to do things" because I'm a man; my power (if you want to call it that) to act is given by permission because the situation is beneficial to our preferences. I can only piece together what I believe to be true based on her history and what we have shared and discussed. A lot of what I believe to be the truth is based off her understanding of herself. Neither of us are psychologists. It seems quite evident to me that being brought up by her mother, and the conditions she was in, resulted in several learned behaviours from her that were not good. "Good" life lessons were largely not taught, and my GF had to raise her baby brothers and sisters due to he…

At what point in either of my posts do I claim, specifically, that I discourage discourse with my girlfriend over my actions or future actions? I state what she does not do, but you have precluded that I am dismissive of the opposite behaviour; I am merely more in favour of one, not necessarily intolerant of one(people have preferences). Again, I endeavour to make her aware of my decision and the reason I choose to make them; I do not act in her ignorance, ever. Also, if you wouldn't mind pointi…

I believe not being able to deal with your partner questioning your decisions is a sign of weak self esteem. I didn't say this. I said that she doesn't question my decisions due to me giving reasonable evidence as to why I've taken, or am going to take, a certain course of action. Where I haven't been clear, she would ask more about it. The point I'm making is that she's aware of her ignorance, and doesn't seek to disagree because she doesn't understand. If my idea contests hers, her first react…

I don't like speaking for a side as such, but recently I have downplayed society's role in the shaping of our learned behaviours, over our inherent genetic urges. Bottom line is, society is just as likely to affect your behaviour and your actions, and that the source of our behaviours and ideas cannot be traced back to either our genetics or the society in which we live. Unfortunately I see this in a conspiratorial light in that we know society, or powers-that-be, such as law makers or the elite…

I identify with TRP, have a LTR with a woman slightly younger than myself (24/28), who has no contact with her mother since she was 18 as she was witness to her mother being assaulted by her partner, and who eventually turned on her as well. I agree with him insofar that whilst we will be impressed by your skills and achievements, I would not find them generating attraction on those merits alone. I am (for the most part) attracted to a woman’s appearance and her feminine persona (soft, caring, relaxed, submissive [submissive =/= dominated], nurturing, etc.) If you're attractive and you listed those things I'd be more attracted, of course. Okay, so it goes like this then... Patriarchy/Patriarchal society Women's rights/Feminism: aka a backlash to the above. 2nd/3rd Wave Feminism MRA movement: aka a backlash to the above. And that it's "understandable but not defensible". That phrase makes no sense at all. The anger is a result of actions, or rather inaction "of the above". I actually agree with you that the starting point isn't culture, it's biology, and the differences in biology precluded difference in the society and culture that spawned from those differences. As I said in my above point: My personal belief is (and I have no studies to back this up on hand I'm afraid) that Biology precludes society. Feminism works to remove the repressive norms that are placed on men. Never understood the notion that the 'norms' of my sex are repressing my sex. Please can you give me a brief overview on how being a man/doing traditionally manly things hinders me being a man? I learned due to puberty. (THANK YOU TESTOSTERONE PRODUCTION!) Ugly duckling syndrome (whilst being a really, really "nice" duckling) makes you wise up to how differently you're being treated as a swan, purely because your appearance changed. (Low level stuff, even). As soon as I left highschool (16) and went to college (16-18) I was treated much differently, without actually changing my personality; it was all aesthetics. Very, very well written post. I was thinking about this subject (of OP's) for quite a while this weekend in relation to NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) techniques, because they actually practice things that allow you to say things that pass 'under the radar' or have markedly less impact emotionally. Usually it’s taught from a hard-sell perspective, but it’s applicable to a lot of interaction. His whole life would be an entire fucking lie if he accepted that... Is a knee-jerk reaction, one I f…

We call this 'Common Law Marriage' in England. My dad told me a sneaky way to mitigate the damages if you are co-habiting though, and it's all about paper-trail. Essentially, this only works if she comes and lives with you/you have your own home. I can agree that he's a bad chap and has said some bad things, but I'd like to err on the side of judgement by saying that he's definitely frustrated, with everything, and his reaction to that cannot be taken out of context with what he said and for what reasons (which I don't know, but can speculate on the women he has to deal with being one of them). Most men won’t speak out against feminism or for men's rights because it makes enemies, and you can get easily silenced; careers ruined, that sort of thing. It takes a certain sort of person to keep going, regardless, and they will be abused and insulted, but if it's for the right reasons (which you have noted already) it needs to be done. There is a way to benefit everyone; be the best man you can be. Your life will enrich the lives of those around you. I went through a similar phase to you when I was about 22/23 where I saw the problems of the world (the 1%, wars, murder, famine, pestilence) and I thought to myself, at the time, that I was glad I was going to get only one life. I am unsure what you mean by that last sentence. Could you reiterate? If you choose to make yourself happy, and consider this an important thing, then following that course of action will, almost always, affect someone in a less-than-positive way. The fact of the matter is that you don't really win anything, but you stand to lose your life. The only thing we're in charge of is ourselves, and it's within your responsibility to act upon yourself in order for you to feel happy with your existence. Whether you would call that a win, I do not know, but being able to feel good about who you are is winning in my eyes. I have to agree with everything you've said really. I do care more about myself than (as of yet) anyone else in my life. I take care of myself because, as a man, I have to get up and go make something of myself, from day one. We aren't afforded the capability of childbearing, which makes women more useful than men as a standard, and means they're useful even if they do nothing at all but have a child. Seems like a destructive cycle when viewed from afar. Some single black women have the mentality of a "strong, independent woman". If one just so happens to have a child, and the father be absent, they will view their mother acting that way and emulate. The emulation of the 'hard' characteristic results in a lack of femininity. Reasons for could be a mixture of 'femininity is weak', or 'femininity is for white girls', or the fact that mother has to play father in some respect. The above, mixed w…

There can be negative consequences both for the individual, the species and, especially given how much power humans yield on this planet, the entire biosphere if people try solely to maximize their own ends. Being a man of value means you can say these things. AFAIK the HoL is still predominantly men, right? It might be okay then, but even if they amend/send the bill back, the HoC (House of Commons) can force it through after three attempts anyway. As it's only a proposed bill I'm forced into being optimistic about it not being passed. My questions about this sort of thing are "who makes these laws?". I know that the UK system is based on local MPs who take their councils' issues to Parliament, which if given enough support may affect the vote on, or writing of, a bill on the issue but I'd love to trace this back to the source of whose idea it was.

Good points. There was a documentary on in the UK, the event was called 'Psychopath Night'. A quick Google will take you to the programme. It's just a familiarity thing I think, as with most issues in our lives, talking and theorising about a subject forms certain opinions of it that are later demolished when the subject is undertaken. It's one of those tough situations (and I feel the patient zero of the "man up" phrase) where thinking about doing does not equal doing. 'Manning up' in this context could be phrased more like "you've thought about it long enough, now go do it; you can't read a book on swimming and expect to swim, so…

The problem most people have about TRP when they're discussing the benefits of our theories, is that they understand 'the tools' to be simple and more readily acquired elsewhere (pure conjecture of course), which therefore allows them to say "why would you stick around in a place like that, even if there is good advice, if there's also all that negative stuff?" Well, because it's so refreshing to not have to watch what I say, or to force someone into political correctn…

It's the final part of 'someone else's problem to fix' mentality that the developed world has a lot of. Only this time it's your problem to fix and you're letting someone else do it for you! This does not bode well, and the continuation of therapy to fix problems leads to scary ideas. Say, this third-person's judgements become the norm, well then you've got people not involved giving advice on what the people that are involved have to do in order to resolve it. It's asking the fish how to catch …

I don't think anything would be so deflating to me as to have a mediator pass judgement on the failings of myself and my partner. We don't do therapy a lot in the UK, or as far as I know, it isn't prescribed so copiously, which may be a reason why I'm not keen on the idea; no confirmation bias. Why does the US have such a hard-on for it though? Surely therapists make their money from people in therapy, therefore 'solving their problems' seems opposite to the capitalistic model; they'll stop comi…

He's a very good actor in general and has the fortune of portraying some really strong characters who align with Dark Triad traits. His portrayal of Sherlock Holmes is fantastic. His portrayal of Khan in the new Star Trek is a very similar character. He's also filmed a movie portraying Julian Assange, which is released soon if not already. Latest portrayal is Smaug, the voice of the dragon in the latest The Hobbit movie. I'm not so sure it's his appearance rather than the fact that most of his r…

I think the father has been miscontrued in his reasoning by the reddit masses, and I also believe that his understanding of the dynamics of relationships today has differed vs. his day. I'm purely guessing that his process is similar to mine, because to be honest, his ideas and execution in the raising for his children have been excellent by my understanding. He's their father, not their friend, and he shouldn't be submissive to his childrens' wants and desires if he feels it will damage the int…

When TRP was young I believe /u/redpillschool did a bit on BBC radio. Being from the UK and a new member at the time, involved in discussions, I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately they edited it a great deal and gave it a biased slant towards the woman in the interview. I forget what she was saying originally, it may have been education/workplace related gender equality or something like that. Just to clarify it was RPS talking to the radio presenter, who was also talking to a woman - RPS …

It does two things; inflates your 'harem' in the metaphorical sense to include women that are far more good looking, outgoing, and up-for-anything than you are able to come by, and by jacking-off to them you're being relieved of your sexual urges, which reduces the natural pursuing energy you might have when you're wanting to "get some". Unfortunately the reason for these two stems to our evolutionary biology (something people are alright to acknowledge in this context). The small, animal circui…

I sometimes get the feeling that because I say 'couldn't handle' this sort of relationship that I'm viewed by people who can as somehow lacking their supreme sense of morality that "anyone can do anything as long as it's discussed and/or allowed". On the face of it, let's just add up what's going on: Man is letting wife have sex with 'friends' 'Friend' whom wife is having sex with is a dickhead and is being classically nonchalant with her. She is craving attention from the man who gives her 'the…

I will add an oldie: 'Think! And Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill. I believe it was wrote around the early 20th Century and is an effective business mentality enhancer/producer. It goes very well with 'How to Win Friends and Influence People' by Dale Carnegie. Have at those, you wont be dissapointed.

I kinda think there's a weird amount of irony in OP's post. Discussed having a baby, he said it's not financially viable/he's not ready. Argument resulted in him on the couch and her being cold towards his approaches. She finds his store of condoms, unopened and confronts him. He states that he realises how much he's not ready to be a father and is taking preventative measures. Cheats on his SO, thereby proving all of the above.

That's a good point. I've had plenty of success with women before TRP. I've had more success with keeping them around/myself in check since though. The thing that has changed, as you pointed out, is that I've got much more control over me and my thoughts. Before, I might be relaxing slowly into betadom, but now I'm aware; my awareness leads to my control and my control of the situation leads to my happiness.

A quote from your first post: Her boyfriend previous to me was completely whipped, she enjoys the position of authority and I've probably let it define our relationship too much to get back. I consider myself lucky to have her. I'm quoting that to remind you how far you've come in understanding her happiness vs. what you think she wants vs. what she thinks she wants vs. what she actually wants, vs. what she needs. Keep going, because it sounds like you're starting to go with us on this, taking o…

We think that our ego, the guiding voice in our head is us, but I say it isn't, it just masquerades as us and, if we let it, will get us to do what protects us from the most harm and discomfort. It's the gate-keeper of our world view. BP men have a lot to lose because their ego allows them to rationalise and understand their actions in the context of what they think or believe will be a result of them. It's the generator of their own hamstermatic. It takes a strong man to disregard their ego, go…

I recently came across TIL that suggested why the majority of our women are ugly. It's because when the Vikings came over they took all the blonde-haired, blue-eyed or more 'pretty' women back home with them. They did this to everywhere they invaded. Scandinavia, you took our women!

There's a time to be angry, and that time passed a long time ago. It happened to me shortly after joining TRP, but I never raged at 'women'; it was always at myself, for finally understanding how I fucked things up. Yeah, those women tore my heart out, but eventually you have to admit that you let it happen, because then you can adapt yourself to the situation instead of blaming the situation. Society just enables the ease at which relationships are doomed, because society doesn't give us the to…

My mother's a woman, is the point I'm making here. I could be angry at her for doing what she did, but I fully expect that she believes the course of action(s) she took was the best for her to take. And I also believe that some of the reasons for her (re)action was down to my father not taking the things we talk about here into consideration. She would backwards rationalise (hamster) the reason(s), so it's not worth bringing up. I now expect women to be women and so will expect instances like th…

My parents divorced when I was 4/5 and I remember the moment really vividly. Mum got the house, dad got the car. I remember leading up to it that they would send me out to play if I came across them talking. The reason I was given (by my Mum) was that my dad had cheated on my Mum; she had found a card in his gym bag from another woman. I believed her and it led to me hating and despising cheaters. Anyway, as my father and I started spending more time together over the last 10 years or so, we'd g…

Blue Pill behavior is caused by excessive exposure to media in the developed world An excellent point, and one I've identified as the root of many problems in 'civilized' society. The MediaTM are massively responsible, but I often find myself asking why they peddle it and who benefits the most from it?

I've practiced in martial arts since I was about 11 (28 now), starting with a mixture of Chinese boxing and various martial arts. My trainer was taught in the 70's when he was a kid (after the Bruce Lee boon) and when men were hardier, so he's brought a lot of how he trained over to how he trains us. Years later I met his son at high school and we became friends and I started to train with him. The training encompassed everything he'd done over his years which was ju-jitsu, t'ai chi, yoga, class…

It's low self-esteem, and I kind of had this problem initially too; I know that they say people can't change, but when you're faced with what is working vs. what isn't working, change has to happen if you want progress to happen, or you stagnate and slowly perish. It may be pretend at first (until you believe in it, then it starts to re-write itself). You have to realise it though, horse to water and all that. Getting through beta-male delusion, especially if that guy has an ego, is one of the t…

I rather like Jeff Bingham in 'Rules of Engagement' though. He seems to keep his frame very well and doesn't mind busting his ass (at work), or the chops of the people around him (his wife, his neighbour, etc). Obviously he's the antithesis of Adam, who is a bit more of a 'modern man', whereas Jeff is oldschool. I really don't mind watching this show.

OP, I can kinda understand where you're coming from, although I haven't been in that position for years. Look at what you value in life, write it down and come back to it from time to time to remind yourself. We have shitty days. TRP is a mixture of things, broken down into the big lumps, what I take are: Self-improvement, self-analysation, self-understanding and self-confidence. All of these will lead to self-belief. Understanding the behaviour that women use consciously or unconsciously to gai…
