Comedy movies have turned into 2 characters doing improv at each other. Physical comedy is dead.

I'd say between the men and women I've worked with the women hold their own a lot better. They feel like they have something to prove and work their asses off.

Or push them towards the trades. Oddly enough I make less money than most women I work with.

I agree with all the "if the sexes were changed" arguments but still I don't think this helps anybody. He was 16 and knew what he was doing. I do agree that she should lose any hope of a teaching job but this clearly was a requited relationship and 11 years isn't a massive age difference. I once hooked up with a 30 year old when I was 16 and don't feel that I was taken advantage of. I feel sorry for every party involved here.

Heh this reminded me of a time back when I was about 15, me and a friend used to go get stoned at another friends place. Her mom was always up to smoke and always wanted to be the cool mom. Me and her daughter hooked up one day and came out of the room and my buddy was in the next banging her. Nothing ever came of it and nobody felt used or anything like that but she was a strange chick.

We also lack the availability of guns. Canada has our fair share of disenfranchised but they lack the available tools to cause harm on a massive scale that the Americans have.

Though the sentence in this case was pretty short, Canadian sentences are only short when compared to American sentences for similar crimes. I'm happy our country doesn't dole out unnecessarily long sentences for crimes and the focus of our justice system is more rehabilitation than punishment. I do still think this chick got a pass though and should've gotten a longer sentence.

From what she told me someone cracked her email password and found a bunch of nudes. They posted them on /b/ alone with her name number and address and such. She's got an interesting looking face, not ugly just different and /b/ had a time with that. Gave her a chan name and stalked her across the net for a while. She has an exhibitionist type personality and keeps nudes and stuff on fetlife among other sites so that didn't bother her too much. She just changed email addresses a few times and lo…

This atlas shrugged pipe dream isn't real. Governments do enforce environmental regulations where the consequences for fucking up the earth, even your own private property, can be very real and it's honestly for the better. I'd trust an elected official over 2 companies in a pissing match in court any day.

This is in canada. It would be dealt with if somebody wanted to press charges but male or female they're aren't going to feel the full force of the law. I've had drunken friends that were caught jerking it in public just as a laugh and they've walked away with a fine.

You're thinking about America. In Canada it would be public lewdness and depending on severity they might have to register but I doubt it.

Just the sheer amount of officer involved deaths is astonishing. I can remember one in my province in the last year and that was some guy robbing a bank and the cop just happened to walk in on it. Normal procedure down there causes a hell of a lot more deaths than it does up here.

This isn't really a men's rights issue. It's mandatory release as was the law back when she was sentenced. The same law would apply if it had been a male nurse and he had good behaviour during his stay in prison.

This is very true and cosmos taught me that women have been pretty effective in science for a while. We gotta stop with the fucking pissing contest here. Call out radical feminists on their bullshit but we can't keep complaining about every little slight or we're gonna be just as bad as them. Egalitarianism is what we're after in the end so let's stick to that.

There does have to be some sort of real deterrent. When I was about 16 I got drunk with some friends and one of the girls had way too much and started stripping. When someone asked her what she was doing she started screaming that I'd raped her. Even though there were multiple people there that could prove nothing had ever happened it still scared the ever living shit out of me. If women have the power to hold a mans life in their hand with just a few words then there should be some real punishm…

I actually have a trans friend that's in her mid fifties. She was just telling me the other day how hard it is to meet other people because they always want to let her know they "know" while trying not to be ride about it. To quote her she doesn't wanna be "freak of the week anymore". I love her she's a great person and great friend but I wouldn't wish that burden on anyone.

Well, that's nonsense. We're not talking about nanofabrication here. Yes, they can make these things scaled a bit smaller; they just didn't, because their standard model was male, and either nobody or not enough people on the design team spoke up and said "that's mad sexist, we can't do that." The reply How do you know they can easily make them smaller? The article itself said it would take years to develop a smaller model. Also, if they started developing a smaller model from the start, it's po…

Watched that one the other day too. The da tanked her case against the woman so one of the men would do the right thing in court and yell out in open court that him and his friends were rapists. The men go to jail the girl gets probation and a stern warning not to brand anyone else.

'I just want him to be out and freed,' his daughter told police earlier this year. Then, 'I will be free on the inside'. Jesus Christ she took away ten years of his life. If that's all she has to do to be free inside then she's more messed up than if imagined.

I don't understand how you can be 18, graduated, expected to work, join the draft and such yet not be allowed to consume alcohol? I could be fresh outta high school starring in fetish porn and that's completely fine but throw a few beers into the mix and all of a sudden I'm committing a crime?

Janice - New Zealand 01:29 pm Thursday 10 July 2014 It's odd and rather disappointing to claim that we need to find a solution for this problem, and in the same statement dismiss scientific findings into the nature of that problem as 'irresponsible'. Professor Ferguson's finding is by no means an isolated one. An anti-scientific stance aimed at destroying knowledge has never helped us contain other criminal behaviour and will not assist us here either. Let's commit ourselves, alongside a focus o…

It's not just that. Women's issues are reported on one hell of a lot more than men's. In the medias eyes if a bunch of boys get killed it's a shame, if 2 girls get killed it's a tragedy. ( just using that as an example not actually what happened). Men are the "stronger" sex so it's not completely unnatural for some to suffer this fate in the eyes of the world.

I'm not sticking up for her but the charges were dropped because there wasn't a reasonable likelihood of conviction. That doesn't completely prove that she lied just that they couldn't come up with enough evidence to back up her words. It would probably wind up the same for her with no reasonable chance of conviction. I'm not saying it's fair or that she doesn't deserve some sort of lawful retribution for ruining a mans name but that's the system we have.
