Good point on renting it out later. I agree renting is awful they also raised my rent last year, plus I am kind of tired of my apartment life. I have included PMI, insurance, property tax as well and its still comes out to be about the same. Thank you!

"house rich and money poor" good point! My 401k and everything is already maxed out and everything on that end is all set. If I do buy a house obviously for the first couple months money will be tight. But after 6 months I should be back to where I am right now financially.

I do plan to become RPW, and I am okay with leaving my place/plans and going with his. I am just not sure if in the interim its best to buy or rent - I do agree things can change pretty rapidly hence I am in a bit of a dilemma. Thank you!

Sorry about the confusion. Here it goes: He and I have been in this relationship for 3.5 years now, we talk to each other everyday and see each other couple times a week, we also go on vacations together (he does not do that same communication frequency with the other women). Also, he does not have other women all the time, in the year we have been together he has been with 3 other women but for one-night stands, or 1-2 months. We do not live together, but recently I have expressed to him that i…

Forgive me if I am mistaken here as I am still new to this - but isn't one of the RPW is understanding that men and women are different and both have different assets? With that being said that we are different ... isin't it possible that men look at sex differently than women do? I been told my many men for a man sex is just sex..us women on the other hand add more emotional attachment to sex. Having said that, doesn't emotional connection amount to something?

Thank you for your comment. I did read your post on keeping score couple days ago and it is something that I have internally been working on myself as I noticed I was keeping score and was having a lot of resentment due to that.

I understand what you are saying, and you make a good point. But what about the emotional connection? I know he does not have the same level of emotional connection with the other women...isn't that an incentive?

Since I am new to all this I never heard about being a plate, I just looked it up. I know men are not vending machines. If I understand the concept of plate correctly its having no strings attached sex. -- so true sexually is not committed to me however emotionally he is committed to me. In our relationship, we talk, communicate, care for each other more times than we have sex. I feel like his and I relationship is a lot like any other relationship, we still have expectations from each other, he…

I guess more than anything i just want him to appreciate me more, and respect me. Like when I call him, for him to actually listen to what I say. When I tell him I do not feel comfortable or like something to actually respect that rather than just brushing it off.

I am not really big on getting married/kids. As far as being okay - I won't go too details in my life history, but I believe men are born to put their seed wherever they can so to say and women are born to be more stable and taking care of the house -- I think in a lot of ways from my past experiences I have just accepted this as part of life, rather than be cheated on, lied to, or hidden from.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
