For what it's worth, the OP was also untruthful about the reason for the ban. We do give warnings first for stuff like this. In OP's case, he was explicitly asked not to do this in modmail and then did it anyway. We don't have to see eye to eye, but I do genuinely appreciate you taking this down.

I guess it depends on what he means, I mean the response of online feminists to the sub has been broadly positive, but obviously TERFs don't like it because we're accepting of transgender people, so that's one group of so-called feminists who don't like us. Otherwise, sure we get criticism occasionally, but who doesn't? We do our best and for the most part that's recognised.

Because we still want to be using the same language as other feminists and men's liberation activists. We don't want to, for example, invite an AMA guest to the sub and give them a dictionary to communicate with our users. We also want our users to be able to read and understand those terms when they come across them outside the subreddit. To some extent, it's not really up to us what the terminology is.

Terminology doesn’t make sense to ban discussion of. Language has a huge effect on the social world and has been something activists have fought about for decades. There are obvious reasons to debate the psychosocial effects of gendered language, and if your target demographic would fill your sub with discussions of it if it was allowed that sounds like a very clear signal to me that you’re removing a key part of the discussion on men’s issues. You're allowed to say men have a raw deal. We would just prefer to actually discuss men's issues instead of making shit up about false rape accusations. Well, see how it goes. We don’t require you to be a feminist; just that you actually talk about men’s issues, instead of using them as a pretext to attack women. We do have stricter moderation, because otherwise subreddits default to the lowest common denominator (which appears to be whinging about Gillette in this case). If that turns out not to be your speed, then there are no hard feelings.

Sorry. Basically, I got polite messages from one of the srss crowd a few times. It was a long arse conversation and I tried to cut it down to just the relevant bits, while still keeping it coherent. I didn't quite manage it. The gist is that women's behaviour is deterministic, men's probably isn't and that feminism is a conspiracy started by lesbians.
