I feel that would be most telling of him than anyone, you have to be pretty desperate to marry someone you ‘lowered your standards’ for. In this particular situation though, I think he meant that you don’t fall into his traditional “type” and are unlike the people he had previously dated, which isn’t necessarily a negative thing in and of itself, but I think it came out very wrong and you should discuss that with him. It really doesn’t sound this comment was made out of spite or he meant it to b…

I live with my male partner of the last three years, I’m with him because I choose to be, not because I need to be. I’m the breadwinner within our relationship. If I were to pick up and leave tomorrow, I’d be in a better position than he would and I say this with confidence. Being lonely and needing in emotional companionship, isn’t the same as “needing a man.”

I have a joint account with my partner for savings, but we have individual accounts where we get paid too. I’m the breadwinner in our relationship lol. I don’t care what my partner does with his money, as long as our bills are paid and there are savings deposited each month. I don’t ask him about his finances unless they directly affect me (ie: making a large purchase together, planning a trip, etc.) I don’t necessarily think having a personal savings incase we were ever to split is a bad thing,…

I suppose our definition of work is different. I don’t see doing household chores on a homestead without compensation alongside your partner as “work outside the home” In the first article you sent it says women use to grind grain, carry water, and collect wood unless they were pregnant. They didn’t work in factories before the industrial revolution, that was the beginning of factory work lol. I feel like modern day labor and capitalism can’t efficiently be compared to the dark ages in terms or …

Youre right, some women were. You’re arguing semantics at this point though man, they found a small handful of women in Peru did some large game hunting, I’m sorry that doesn’t disprove that most women during this time were caretakers, while men stereotypically left for frames of time to provide large game.

Literally the first sentence is suggesting some women might have been game hunters, that doesn’t mean that was average for the time, like I’ve said time after time.

Literally going back to our earlier ancestors women would raise young, while men would hunt and gather. It’s really not that complex lmao. Women did not work outside the home or earn income until the 1920’s in the earliest instances, men have been earning an income outside the home since the 1860’s. Women also made significantly lower wages, were required to be married, and could only work in select limited fields many of which hazardous. I’m sorry history was a hard subject for you. Your grandm…

Yes, the introduction of capitalism that still exists today, we can’t just pretend it doesn’t. Yes, both people were capable of being homemakers before people actually had to financially provide for anything. Unfortunately things cost money now, and women weren’t able to do that for themselves efficiently until the 70’s, so they continued to care for the home while men went to work. Also want to add, married women were allowed to work, so all the more reason women married less than their desired…

I’m sorry but that’s just factually incorrect, first women entered the work force 100 years ago, they weren’t able to have bank accounts till about 60 years ago. That isn’t the majority of history. Even if your grandma had the privilege of working outside the home, her mother more than likely did not. Most families were supported off a single income until recent years.

Lol my male partner is the smartest person I’ve ever personally met, I’m of the belief (and not the only one) That he may be a chemistry savant, but I digress, he still had a raging drug addiction when we first met. Our first year together was a rough one, thankfully we’re on the other side of that now, but emotional maturity isn’t the same as intelligence. 😭

I’m sorry what lol? Lot of people aren’t looking for marriage today. I thought you were asking why women would want marriage more before independence when there were stronger terms attached lmao. Marriage rates are plummeting I asked my partner if they were interested in marriage in the future as well when we first got together, because it’s a goal in my life and not something I’m willing to settle without, our relationship would be pointless to continue if he wasn’t on the same path. It’s absol…

Because there was no alternative. Women are sold off by families and women got married at like 16. They fell pregnant before they were 18 usually, and died by like 40, then the cycle started again. We have alternatives now, we leave, we can keep money for ourselves, and we can hold jobs, men do not have to provide for us. Women are seen as people not just tools for breeding more offspring. Also, lol, I’ve wanted to be a SAHM since I was a child myself, my partner is accepting of this, but most m…

Lol, no but domestic violence, was SIGNIFICANTLY higher prior to women becoming financially independent, let’s not be dense.

I mean yeah, it’s true we don’t need romantic relationships with men anymore. I honestly don’t care how many downvotes this gets for angry men. We do not have to stay in abusive and unhappy marriages anymore like we once did. We at one point had no right to vote, to get a job, hold a bank account, buy anything. Leaving could mean banishment from the church, homelessness, institutionalization, loss of our children, and death in some cases. Homosexuality was also seen as an abomination, and was on…

Lol, Hi, I’m a female trades woman! One of my close friends growing up is a female mechanic in particular, I am not. Just because those are male dominated industries, doesn’t mean we’d be lost without. That’s just whose more likely to get paid for their knowledge in the subject, they’re not the only ones with the knowledge in the subject.

congrats, live your life as a the garbage person you proudly are, it’s certainly a choice. I’m sure all the wonderful, great, high quality women you meet is why none of them are worth your loyalty, you hate them all so much, and are still so hung up about your ex. When you’re lying on your deathbed a lonely sack of shit that nobody likes, certainly keep that in mind. I’ll be blocking you now, best wishes 🫶

Lol, whatever women you were referring to when you were complaining about it originally. Regardless, neither her nor the women you accuse of “all being cheaters anyways” (that’s why you cheat on them first after all, isn’t it?) were what I’d define as “loyal” but whatever helps you think you’ve won. I could give less than a rats ass about what you do, as I’ve said three times now, your perception of women is still tainted by the way you treat women. Ya gonna keep getting cheaters bc you are one.…

Can’t be that loyal if they’re dropping you ‘when they’re bored of the relationship’ like your original complaint stated now can they? Idk if you were dropped on your head or what.

He’s mad because I said his value is in the gutters. Earlier in a post he was complaining about women being unloyal, while in the same breath saying he doesn’t take women seriously, cheats on them, and uses them when given the opportunity. I told him loyal women aren’t showing interest in him because he’s an asshole. He’s set in the idea that because other abusive men have girlfriends, it couldn’t possibly be a him problem. Edit: If anyone responding wants to read the thread he’s referring to, i…

What I said wasn’t a general statement that applies to everyone in every situation, it’s a personalized remark regarding you. You’re publicly bragging about cheating on women, and calling loyal women easy, nobody wants that regardless of how much you complain about it. Your personality is garbage, and that’s why nobody wants you. Sure, you might also be undateable for other reasons, but you’re in control if your actions.

Idk but speaking personally, it takes more for a woman to get off than a man. It’s also not uncommon for women not to achieve orgasm their first time with a new partner, and men rarely put in the effort in with women they don’t see a future with. Due to these reasons, not really much point having sex unless I’m in a long term relationship or in the direction of one. The likelihood the sex will be anything short of disappointment, is just far too great. Id rather just be celibate than essentially…

I’m a woman in a male dominated industry, it’s quickly noticed when I’m not there. I would argue I help men on a daily basis, and I wouldn’t touch a single one of them with a ten foot pole. Most men I work with are a good 10 years older than me, and I’ve been happily in a relationship outside of work for the last 3 years. I’m all set on that. Outside of that, I helped my male partner out of homelessness and a drug addiction, because I love and care for him, not for his dick (I actually prefer wo…
