That's a fair point. There are definitely problems with the system. Though I am a part of it, I am pretty critical of the racism, classism, and "good ol' boy-ism" inherent to the system and many of the people within it. I think we need MAJOR overhauls in how we treat many offenses (especially non-violent and drug offenders). The system has a bunch of problems and, while I'm sure you can find a lot to criticize in how our Domestic Relations Court treats men (especially in custody and child suppor…

Ima go out on a limb here and suppose that this one case that you don’t know the details of isn’t representative of the system as a whole and may have actually been quite fair due to facts you don’t have. It’s a lot safer assumption than yours. You can always find individual cases, strip them of relevant context, then use them to support whatever point you’d like to make. Source: this entire sub.

You'd be wrong in most places. This is a fairly typical resolution for men and women with these charges. There's no discrimination happening here. This sub likes to hype things to play victim, but that's not what's going on here.
