Ah, this is the /r/MensRights I warn everyone about. Thank you for giving me an easy post to save for reference when this pops up next time.

Being an asshole in life decreases your chances of having a meaningful relationship but everyone here still does it.

Europe, totally sane! Or not. How are those pedofiles working out for you over there?

Not by a long shot. That said, you drop a probably traumatized person into a new country with $400 per month to live and you'll have issues more often than not.

Something your SO knows about isn't cheating but the "playing the game" mentality is the entire point of this sub. I guess she's playing it better.

The guy in the story is most likely fictional. What I find hilarious though are the people here (cough OP cough) getting mad about the lady in the story having the same mindset that is shared on this subreddit.

My then boyfriend had to pry what happened out of me. The word "broken" is the right one. I felt worthless, like it was my fault and that I didn't deserve him so even staying with him was not being fair. He knew something was wrong but instead of ignoring it he confronted me about it, got the truth then went into action. He didn't allow me to push him away over false pretenses and he called me on my bullshit when needed. She handled it wrong, but I really doubt she could process that herself and…

When someone is this traumatized it takes a mature person to help them through it. Unfortunately, once you let things go on like this for so long there is no fixing them easily. He could very well salvage their relationship and turn her ship around but a) Most would consider him an asshole during this time. b) He'd have to act like a selfish asshole at times. She's obviously broken. It's not irreparable but bowing down to her every wish because she was a victim isn't going to help, especially wi…

She'd likely get over it much quicker without the therapist putting bullshit into her head and her family supporting that.

Oh yes, the poor misunderstood pedants choosing to call themselves feminists instead of just not being sexist assholes. Whatever will they do if they can't use that exact word. It's in the dictionary you know!

Someone that isn't sexist and discriminatory shouldn't pick a moniker that a) Sounds sexist and discriminatory. b) Has a vocal group of assholes claiming that same moniker and making sure everyone knows it. Say you are for equal rights, hell, just say you are a decent human being. Calling yourself a feminist is unnecessary and loaded.

See, someone makes a post here that is reasonable and not really inflammatory to sensible people. Then I read the comments and see the same idiots saying the same thing they've been saying all along making this sub look just as bad as any other extremist section of reddit and the asshole feminists.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
