<image> Ok the photo got instaflagged by reddit so I'll have to cut out the actual profile screenshot. For context, It's a dating app profile with the prompt "All I ask is that you: love and fuck me like the men in my books do" I completely agree. Men who are neurotic about "whores" should just look for women that are neurotic about sex. There's no inherent benefit in the opposite direction so they's still have to figure out a way to make it attractive for the women, but on a pure valuematch lev…

There's better ways of screening out trad women anyway. And filtering out women who try to pay first is the perfect way to screen out transactional women.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 10:41 PM

Many such cases
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 10:39 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 06:36 PM

Some women are asexual, and some asexual people struggle to understand how allosexual people engage with sex on a fundamental level
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 05:47 PM

The difference is that when inkwells victimise themselves they frame it as opposition. They believe women are somehow denying them sex, and that this is bad because they should be entitled to sex, and therefore women bad. It is a framework that ultimately serves to paint women as villains. The kind of victimisation in the screenshot doesn't really involve any conflict. There's not really any negativity attributed to people taking men away from them (if there is anyone at all), it is entirely cen…

<image> As usual, the average woman will portray herself as a defenceless, pitable victim if you even suggest they don't date men. Misandry is not real.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 03:22 PM

It very clearly does for women
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 01:44 PM

Good for them
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 12:42 PM

What kind of man is more likely to want to be a feminist ally, a man whom women have been nice to, or one they've been mean to? The kind of man who believes in women's rights

I hear nuclear energy can do this or that but if we need literal nuclear reactors to sustain our consumption habits Why? There's consumption demand, and there's reliable, economical and safe technology that can supply that demand. Why can't nuclear be a valid source? Is it just geberic anti-nuclear fearmongering?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 09:45 PM

He's overreacting. Even if he truly just doesn't want you doing anything with his selfies without permission (which is a pretty tight boundary), it's really on him to make something so restrictive clear beforehand instead of this passive aggressive response after the fact
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 09:43 PM

It is bizarre how some women in this sub vouch for friendships and connections beyond romantic relationships (which I agree with), yet also act as if romantic relationship are the only true way of connecting with someone whenever men say they would rather just be friends than have asexual relationships with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:57 PM

For example, imagine both partners could contribute financially, divide housework and childcare based on availability and preference, take turns initiating dates and making plans, and support each other emotionally without either person being expected to be “the provider” or “the homemaker” simply because of their gender. This is already how my relationship is. I prefer it, yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:54 PM

The prompt is irrelevant. You're the one that implied being single is being alone
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:53 PM

This is an extremely strange form of black and white thinking. Why is not being in a relationship default to being alone? Do you think friends and family are just an incomplete facsimile of relationships? Do you think love is impossible within these dynamics unless they call each other boyfriend and girlfriend?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:31 PM

Being settled for is a probpem beyond sex. A relationship with someone who doesn't like you is worse in every way than one with someone who does.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 08:23 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 03:32 PM

No one is "pretending" these things are difficult. There are resources for putting up shelves and such all over the internet, including the tiktok itself. Any woman who doesn't put up a shelf because she supoosedly doesn't know how to, simply doesn't want to put in the work to put up the shelf and is using her incompetence as a get out of jail free card.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/26 01:27 PM

<image> It's so funny when PUA accounts don't mention of the relevant outcomes. Who gives a fuck about photo strips? Did he get laid? How often? How many wanted to date him further? Were any of the girls a good time? Always keep watch for people who are talking about dating for dating's sake. If the date was boring and ended with you going home alone and with the girl not wanting to see you again, the date was worthless.

What do you mean by necessary evil? Two men can have sex without penetration. Why do you think they choose to do it? Do you think any gay man who says he enjoys it, whether topping kr bottoming, is simply lying? Do you think any woman, lesbian or straight, who claims she likes it is lying too?

<image> I think this person is good intentioned but I think they are kind of missing the forest for the trees. It's not a coincedence that there are women who still have this transactional attitude. The sexual revolution happened a long time ago. Multiple generations have grown up in a time where at least vaguely healthy views of sex are common and the standard fare. I don't think these women were left behind and simply need teaching. I think these women are simply asexual and have either repres…

Obvious chip-on-the-shoulder posting aside, what is anal sex in a homosexual relationship? Is a woman that wants to have anal sex with her female partner "mentally disturbed"? Is a man that wants to have anal with his male partner a "saidst"?

I mean, I just pay because it's easier. It's a small treat for both of us, the last thing I have energy for on a first date is arguing over how to split the cost of a coffee. It's also an easy filter for transactional women. If they treat chump change as an IOU you can already tell it's not going tk work out.

<image> Q4A: Thoughts? Even as a proponent of liberal break-ups and that once you break up it's none of your ex's business what you do, I am conflicted. This scenario feels like a scummy loophole more than people operating in clear and concrete ways.

/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/26 01:02 PM

A lot of PPD women seem invested in the "he's acting like his divorce came out of nowhere" bit but to me it's always been women that take breakups worse. A lot of women have a strange sense of entitlement of thinking everything should follow their preffered relationship timeline rigorously. Official when they want, marriage when they want, break up only when they want it.

Yes. Men should take accountability for the women they choose to date
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 10:56 PM

it appears that women are supposed to be taking accountability for the way men treat them Women have a huge degree of control over which men they allow around them and how they allow themselves to be treated so... yes? What's the issue?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 10:30 PM

How so?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/26 07:53 PM
21

Saying sorry but then still blaming outside factors and acing like there's nothing to be done isn't taking accountability. It's not about apologising, it's about being aware and accepting that one is an effectual actor and that those actions directly lead to specific impacts.

What is your understanding of what MeToo is/was, in your own words? A trend in which women collectively spoke about about abuses and sexual harassment they've experienced, including at the hands of powerful men. Do you think MeToo had any legitimate focus or purpose? If so, what? Sure. It's worthwhile for women who have been abused to feel comfortable sharing their experiences. What (if anything) would you have preferred instead of MeToo? The misunderstanding was the problem. Communication helped arrive at the solution (addressing the misunderstood premise), but it wasn't the solution itself. And let's be honest, how often are the dating problems people actually think about just misunderstandings?

so lets say person A leaves their shoes lying around. Person B doesn't like that. Then A needs to stop leaving their shoes, B needs to just accept it, or they have to stop leaving together. Communication can help to begin solving their issues, but it doesn't actually provide any solution itself. A might be able to convinced that they shouldn't leave their shoes lying around, but ultimately the problem isn't actually solved until A physically takes that step to stop leaving their lying around. <image> Some time ago someone in the daily asked about women vs men gaslighting and I think this is a wonderful example of the difference. Male gaslighting is straightforward (i think that'd be the word?). It requires little investment and therefore casts a wide net. You can get caught in it through reasonable good faith. The weakness is it's easy to break out of. It only requires a few errors of reasoning to get caught, but an equally few re-examinations to break out of. As you can see here, fe…

I wanted to comment on this but I couldn't find the words for it. I completely agree with you. Most dating problems ultimately stem from a contradiction. Person A wants Option X and not Y, while Person B wants Option Y and not X, and yet A and B want to date each other. There is a fundamental, irreconcilable conflict here that cannot be solved through communication. The only resolution is to address that fundamental conflict and it's premises. "The chase" is absolutely a slog. The problem is you're talking about different things. Going on dates with a woman that likes you and having sex with her is indeed fun. But that's not what "the chase" or being a "dancing monkey" is. You should avoid any woman who you have to convince

I mean, ir's PPD women that frequently claim Chad treatment doesn't exist. Either way it shows you don't have to care about any of these rules and the best way to improve your dating life is simply becoming more Chad-like

The key to cross-gender friendships is you have to actually enjoy friendships and not see them as a consolation prize or an alternative way into a relationship. A shocking amount of people don't understand this

/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 02:26 PM

I mean, is that not how selection works in anything else? Usually it's the people most qualified, desired, or otherwise preferred that have to put in the least immediate effort to get chosen. The essence of nepotism is giving someone a fast track or looser expectationd because of connections. Schools give scholarships to exceptional students. Elites in various fields are begged by insitutions to join them rather than the other way around. Plenty of coaches know their job is on the chopping block…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/26 01:46 PM

I get a few hours sleep. When I wake up to start Saturday, I check, and she has unmatched me. Why would anyone twiddle their thumbs for a week for the sake of a dating app match? I don't have time for random people who don't have time for me, why would you expect these women to?

Women primarily use it to mean "emotionally competent enough to know how and when she wants her emotions to be validated and coddled"
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 04:32 PM

another issue is the term is HIGHLY vague and subjective. sure a lot of men use it as "dude who take out women for dinner for free and not getting anything" but it can also mean a dude who comment "😍😍🔥🔥" under a woman's photo or a dude who slide into a woman's dm with "you're so beautiful" All of these are simping though? Angry? Probably not. I would leave though. The pageantry involved in loyalty/cheating is extremely obnoxious. It's up to couples to decide how open they want to be abd it's up to individuals to decide what's grounds for cheating, but I think it's just a waste of time if you've reached the point where you're trying to catch them out and doing these sorts of stunts. More likely than not they're just gonna think "they passed this time, but that just means I'm definitely going to get them next time"…

That doesn't really change anything. The point is that people who like and want sex don't go out of their way to avoid it. The differences between casual and relationship sex doesn't address that point.

The solutions is she either changes her mindset/personality to be more compatible with relationships, or she finds peace with being single and simply enjoys her life without the idea of relationships tethering her back. My point is not that heterosexual women don't exist. My point is their proclivity to self-victimisation at the idea of not dating and having sex with men. When misogynists are denied sex, they will frame it in conflict. Women are denying them sex, and it is bad for them to do so. It is a call to the misogynist's perceived hierarchy; men are greater, so women should acquiesce to men's whims, and they are bad people if they do not. This is contrasted with when women are denied sex, which is explic…

In reality, the assholes are nice in the beginning and it’s only after they sleep with her that they start being an asshole. But being an asshole wasn’t required for him to get laid or a relationship. And once he starts being an asshole is when she either leaves him or they both stay in a toxic relationship that doesn’t last. Or maybe it does last and you find out the woman is as equally bad of a person. The much simpler conclusion is that asshole-ness isn't that big of a needle-mover in either …

I definitely ask about colorism because I’m black Then why is this the particular topic that you don't understand. The reason people discuss women not dating bi men is the same reason people discuss colorism. Do you think people that discuss colorism are necessarily "mad" about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 08:11 PM
2

Most straight women don’t like to share their men. And they don't have to. That's what an exclusive monofamous relationship is. Unless you're suggesting they're buying into the fairly biphobic stereotype that bi men (and women) are wildly sexually compulsive and incapable of monogamy?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 08:09 PM
2

I’m asking why is there discourse surrounding women not wanting to date bi men Because people find it interesting? Again, people try to deconstruct and analyse dating preferences all the time. Do you also ask why women discuss male preferences for younger women? Do you alsk ask why men discuss female prefefences for height? Why black people discuss the effects of colorism in dating? I'm confused why this one example out of many is being singled out.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 08:06 PM

Yall keep making that claim, but single=\\= sexless. But a frequent claim from blue pillers is that casual sex is something a small minority of people do and that most people have sex in relationships. Do you disagree with that claim?

What is the madness in question? In my experience these discussions are never about "being mad" and it's a common strawman. Sex and consent is a vulnerable situation so I can see the viewpoint of people who think covert contracts regarding it are valid (though I ultimately disagree) But I'm absolutely baffled that some people think a man paying for dates with a woman and privately assumes they will lead to sex, would be justified to feel wronged and duped if she chooses not to have sex with him. It's a laughably silly idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 03:15 PM

You'd have to give examples because this is an extremely easy point to dodge even for someone who wouldn't understand consent.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 03:07 PM
5

So how long are you willing to wait before having? Something being a dealbreaker does not mean it is the only thing you want. This is black and white thinking. If someone wasn’t that good at first, would you be OK teaching them to get better? And if someone didnt make sex their priority outside of like once a month, you’d be fine with it? Again, black and white thinking. I never understood when people say that because you’re not going to care about a relationship if your sexual desires aren’t me…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 03:02 PM

There isn't, but there's a clear oral agreement that consent is based off. If that agreement isn't honoured then the consent was invalid and therefore the sex was rape.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 01:52 PM
1

The discussion is about two people wherein one party only consents to sex on the grounds that the other party promises some form of commitment.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 01:46 PM

What contract? The agreement to only have sex if commitment is given in return.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 01:45 PM

Sex between people should not be transactional if they want to have a relationship of equals. I agree. That has nothing to do with the point being made though

Then don't engage in transactional relationships if you can't keep them above the table
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 12:08 PM

When you become friends with someone you don't draft the contract with outlining of your intentions and help obligations, and yet everyone knows it and expects it because of how you behave. Friendships are entirely self-contained, though. If someone doesn't do the things I expect of a friend, I just won't be friends with them and that's that. At most I'd consider them a bad friend. The scenario in the OP involves a moral calculation, and an implication of entitlement. That a man not wanting a re…

Sex isn't a transaction It can be made into one. What do you think prostitution or sexual quid pro quo is?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 11:46 AM

If you agree to a transaction (sex = commitment), renegging on that transaction after receiving but not giving your end of the bargain is fraud and I think sexual fraud is rape.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 11:05 AM

Relationships are a complex tangle of words and postures and signs and facial expressions. Things are communicated in lots of different ways. Not in this context, no. You use indirect communication to assess someone's behavior for the purpose of informing your own decisions. Using it to sign a binding contract is manipulative and slimy. So how can we understand what a guy means when he says he felt “led on” But I don't understand him. He had no indication that there was going to be some sort of …

In either case they aren't scared of false accusations, they're disingenously invoking them for the sake of argument.

and he has a right to feel used or icky by the situation or even learning from the experience and not going on many or extravagant dates with future women who don't reciepocate effort. his feeling are valid. There's a world of difference between "operating this way didn't get me what I wanted, I'll do things differently next time" and "this person used me because they didn't contort to my every whim"

/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 10:23 AM

The problem is "into me" is faulty language. People are usually into people they have sex with and it's an arbitrary emotion. The only thing that matters is whether concrete claims were made.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 10:22 AM

Because sex is important to her, It isn't, but that's besides the point. Sudden changing your mind after you’ve been intimate is cruel I'd argue it's rape

/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 09:12 AM

That’s like saying a man can’t be ”used for money” if he willingly paid every date Yes? they mean they expected the other person to want more (emotional intimacy, romance, sex, feelings, commitment) and the other person clearly went in to the arrangement with the goal of getting just one thing This is a skill issue solved by not engaging in covert contracts

To be as generous as possible, TRP isn't about what ought to be, the TRP is about best navigating what already is. TRP would argue that trying to go for women you aren't attracted to is a waste of time anyway, and that by AWALT, these women like the same things other women do. If you think these assertions are inaccurate that's a perfectly fair stance to argue, but arguing that TRP should be in the business of fundamentally changing what people look for is missing the point.

Half of them are calling OP stupid because actually the meta is anorexia. That kind of discourse would be impossible with men, it'd just be circlejerking about height height height.

I agree (well, mainly with point 3). Another way this manifests is just... talking. A lot of men seem to think women are hyper-literal paragons of rationality and reason. This creates conflict when it turns out women are people that use subtext, idioms, hyperbole, venting etc. like anybody else. Said conflict is how a lot of bitterness and complaints about "but women said..." is formed.

I don't know what there is to explain other than that AF/BB are relationship/sexual dynamics and not just another word for casual sex and LTRs. The use of prostitutes is a form of casual sex under the framework of beta bux. Many LTRs operate under alpha fucks

Why not have a clear and open conversation about it tho? For the same reason I don't call debt collectors on my friend because he owes me 5 bucks. Both people should be open about how they’re feeling. Should they? It was a casual relationship, why should they have an obligation to involve an emotional aspect if it's unnecessary? The man wanted a casual relationship and was in a casual relationship. He has no reason to be open about anything when from his point of view it's perfectly reasonable to conclude everything's going smooth and there's no hiccups. Utter nonsense. They think existing while being attractive and succeeding as a result of being attractive is meritocracy in action. In an environment where attractive people are the most desirable, yes? It isn't okay for the rejecting party because no is no and insisting and pushing is coercive and tiring. And how is this even an oxymoron? If you move on then it's over, …

some guys are really good at “performing” - hell, women are good at performing. It's more that a lot of people are really bad at spotting someone putting on an act. (Or they don't care enough to)
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 02:26 PM

Why do you make the assumption that relationships start out with little/no desire? Some do, some don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 02:25 PM

Yeah this is completely sound. Men that complain about dead bedrooms instead of leaving are stupid.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 02:24 PM

Because eventually systems with higher birth rates and less rights for women are going to take over. And those systems will eventually result in women getting their rights back and going childfree again.

It's the men on this sub constantly crashing out about not having everything explicitly enumerated all the time and raging about indirect communication and having to care about body language. And they are stupid. I don't care for the whataboutism though. they want to portray women as stupid for not immediately knowing who and who isn't a malignant narcissist. You're doing the thing I described.

I agree. Someone's standards aren't anyone else's business, except in cases where they are complaining in which case they should be told to choose better and leave it at that.

A non chad trying to have sex by the second date is a hard ask regardless, especially if she’s in their league. You’re either trying to get lucky or need a lower quality woman. I'm not sure what you're getting at You’re also saying women don’t like honesty I mean yeah they certainly don't like this kind of sterilised autistic honesty. it’s what they ask for. Watch what they do etc etc
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/26 04:31 PM

Good for them. I'll keep telling women that complain to choose better then.

Both parties didn’t need to waste their time, effort or money on something that may not have gone anywhere. I mean at that point you may as well not go on any dates. Even women that could be interested would be turned off by this kind of autistic approach. I think you just have to accept there will be sone airballs and be willing to dump quickly when it's being more trouble than it's worth.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/26 03:47 PM

"The grey area" is simply that women like being asked out by guys they're attracted to and don't like being asked out by guys they aren't attracted to. The problem with your post is that this simply doesn't matter. What difference does it make to your life if a woman that doesn't like you and that you'll never see again is a bit uncomfortable or thinks you're cringe? Absolutely none. Stop caring about the confort and opinions of strangers and start caring about what actually works.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/26 03:39 PM

I'd say those aren't the same thing. A getaway driver is aiding the robber in escaping with what they stole and preventing them from facing justice. That's not the same as having sex with someone. The more accurate equivalent would be turning a blind eye and minding your business if you see a store getting robbed across the street. In this case I don't think you'd have any moral responsibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 08:58 PM

The amount of good men heavily outweigh amount of women who are potentially good. Based on what? The situation will not change unless instead of blaming men and patriarchy for their bad choices and understand men they are attracted to have abundance of women under their hands to give them freedom to treat women as expendable option What situation? Weren't you saying there's plenty of good men? What does this have to do with the title?

Wether they are ugly or not is an outside factor No it isn't. It is the specific factor beibg selected for Where's the merit there? The merit is that attractive people are more desirable partners and therefore their deserve dating success on merit. Being tall helps you in basketball, of course. Meaning that tall players are selected on merit. It isn't an outside factor. what even is 'merit'? Merit Noun the quality of being good and deserving praise
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 03:06 PM

Not really. I didn't found people compatible with me until I moved, for example. Different places, different cultures, different people. Then I guess you're an exception. If you're born ugly, or dumb, you're that. You can't change that, it's ingrained. You can offset it through effort, to a point. Also the other way around; I'm very good looking, for example, but that was complete luck. Yeah, and attractive people merit dating success, ugly people don't. That's not an outside factor. Your environment, which affects the type of people that surround you, is an outside factor. Your environment plays a relatively small effect on dating success. It is not the make or break. Your genetics, which you can't choose, are an outside factor. No they aren't. People select for the genetics they like dating. They are the opposite of an outside factor. The luck required to find someone you click with, and have them click too, are also outside factors. This doesn't exist. There is no chance …

A hypothetical you made up is not the bar for truth, no. merit based means you somehow earned it or worked towards it. Earned yes, worked towards it no. Merit is purely about suitability and capability. There is no inherent notion of it requiring work to warrant merit. Most of the things people look for when it comes to attraction and wholly outside of that persons control. If they have the things people look and choose for, it means they merit being looked and chosen for.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 02:05 PM

Yes. Dating is one if the very few things with effectively no outside factors. The only way to achieve better dating results is to be a more desirable partner. The only way for someone to fail is to not be desirable enough.

Why is your answer "don't get married" vs "be a stay-at-home dad?" Because getting married and taking care of kids sucks

You don't have to marry a stay-at-home mom, if it's an "equal" relationship, or one of the cases where 11%-22% of live births happen to a child whose parents are broken up, custody still often goes to the mother. It has to be that rare stay-at-home dad for custody to *sometimes* go to the father. Then don't get married Yeah, that's BS. Women fuck these men at the end of the day. Thing is a lot of women are into the idea of a natural chad. They see a man who became attractive through deliberate effort and work as a counterfeit, a ruse. It doesn't manifest in practice (they just convince themselved a synthetic chad is a natural chad anyway), but it's a very strong bias in the abstract so it's a big hurdle in changing stereotypes such as this.

Why is it only fraud when women do it? Extracting money/resources under false pretenses is fraud when men do it too.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 11:50 PM

Putting the mother in jail punishes the child too, and that’s not fair. It could take away their only parent and end up putting them into the foster care system. Accountability should fall on the person who committed the fraud, not on the child. This is applicable to any crime done by a parent.

you ever think to yourself how irredeemably abysmal life is for love to be contingent on something so petty and meaningless as whether or not you happen to be one of a million other miserable species? Are you friends with worms? Do you buy things made by worms from worms? Suggesting that the difference between engaging with humans and with worms is petty or meaningless is such an utterly laugable premise.

Just because some men are attractive enough to get away with being toxic, usually with women who are similarly toxic, does not mean that your own toxicity isn’t a reason for your dating failures. That's exactly what it means though. Clearly the determinant factor is being unattractive. If both toxic and non-toxic hot, fun and exciting men do well, while both toxic and non-toxic ugly, lame and boring men do badly, saying toxicity is the cause of lack of dating success is entirely irrational.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 02:26 PM
5

Every single study on the topic shows that people look for partners who are kind or generally exhibit pro social behaviors. Which is irrelevant to the point, since being ugly broke and awkward aren't pro-social traits. Being awkward is anti-social if anything.

There's no objective basis for the "right" things to open up about, it is simply a form of plausible deniability for women being unable to handle male emotions. The only person who could provide a consistent and reliable assessment of a man's emotions is himself. It is far more productive for a man to be emotionally robust and capable and handle his own emotione than to play these kinds of word games.

I read it. How people rank a line-up of photos is indeed worthless to actual dating dynamics. Men don't want to be number 1 in a study. They want to be the guy she breaks her rules for and demands the least investment from. Women don't want to be number 1 in a study, they want to be the gal he can't stop thinking about and the one he goes out of his way for.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/26 01:19 AM

The entire reason people use the word "personality" in these discussions is for the sake of motte and baileys. It's not really some sort of critical flaw of comprehension as you describe, it's just that the entire conversation is rooted in people wanting to have their cake and eat it while retaining plausible deniability. It is worthless to have discussions centered on a term used deliberately for the sake of vagueness rather than clarity.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/26 01:12 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 09:19 PM

Hence you get stories like "Initially, I didn't like my husband (aka his looks were not impressive) but as I got to know him, I started to like him". Most girls are not "clearly" expressing this, they keep stringing them along because they like the attention. It's not about changing him, it's more that she mentally changes him to fit her "standards". She convinces herself he's "one of the good ones", or that when he does something she doesn't like, he's doing it in a way that isn't that bad so it's ok.

Anti-male sentiment and misandry are running rampant in popular culture. You can hardly open your Instagram for a few minutes without coming across anti-male content. This sentiment is entirely performative. Misandry doesn't actually exist. The vast majority of women are male-centered women that like men. If they like a guy, they'll acquiesce. Men today almost universally feel that their dating efforts aren't met with mutual effort from women and that dating women tends to feel somewhat like a j…

Well, we are already telling girls “how to not get spiked” And it should continue. Every 18 year old should know to not drink any drink you haven't been constantly watching. clearly more needs to be done. More, yes. The example I provided had an oppositional tone, not an additive one. The clubs need to be monitoring better and people need to call it out when they see it and call the police. Sure. That has nothing to do with teaching men not to spike though.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 07:40 PM

I'm critiquing the part in the third comment that suggests abandoning things that will materially prevent assaults in favour of some vague notion of teaching.

Aren't fucking, or aren't in a monogamous relationship? Aren't fucking. Are you unaware that the courtship process doesn't always involve premarital sex? I'm aware that "courtship" is old timey nonsense people use to pretend like they aren't wasting your time. I wouldnt have sex with a guy I wasn't exclusive with, ever! Good for you?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 12:55 PM

My hypothesis is that a large number of asexuals are effectively closeted as a result of society being so geared around sex and relationships. It's getting better but there's still obviously massive social pressures involved
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 11:47 AM

The solution to mismatched libidoes is simply to not date asexuals as an allosexual and to not date allosexuals as an asexual. I know why it doesn't happen, but still.

Can you imagine blindly trusting a Karen to tell you the truth? What does that have to do with anything? Like going to therapy and not making his problems everyone else’s. Theraoy is not always needed, but yes. A man attempting to seek emotional solutions in others is a fool's errand.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 12:01 AM

This difference is flippant and conditional. The person on the recieving end attributes the descriptor they personally prefer. Therefore, the only possible trustworthy and reliable analysis of a man's emotions is from the man himself. Therefore, the only rational and effective approach for a man's emotions is for the man to be capable of handling the enterity of his own emotional load and doing so.

women (like men) want to date someone that impresses their friends. Women want to date men they like. multiple times when a woman’s friends think a guy is ugly or they have some bad trait like height you’d be surprised on how easily they get dropped. If you want a partner into clubbing and partying, same thing. If you want a feminine partner do you have to be feminine? If you want a masculine partner do you have to be masculine? In turn, supporters of the original argument counter that a genuinely fair and decent social arrangement should not involve preferences they perceive as hypergamous or unequal But that's complete conjecture. But ranting misogynistically about women being the source of all your problems doesn't contribute to success either. There's an endless amount of things that are completely neutral and don't contribute to success, yet they aren't mentioned. There's no reason to point out useless information when there's a much more informative answer.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 03:50 PM

you point out that women don't like him because he's a miserable misogynist who blames all of his problems on women, his response is "but women like bad men". He fails to recognize that women sometimes like the first type of bad men: charismatic bad men who don't outwardly appear bad. The point is that it's worthless to point out that he's a misogynist. The correct answer is that he's failing because he's lame and boring, not his social views.

The whole reason people use "personality" in dating is this plausible deniability. We already have a word for the branches of personality that affect dating. Sociability. A sizeable if not significant amount of people are just aro/ace/both but haven't accepted it (because of socialization that cebters relationships and sex), and that if they did accept it, it would bith make their own lives much happier, as well as solving a lot of dating problem and discourse people have.

Tackle puritanism and embrace sex positivity. The only real reason people deliberately choose (i.e, excluding stuff like someone just being asexual and having that baked in) to not have casual sex nowadays is because they evangelise sex. The people talking about stigma are a bit facetious since people have been having casual sex for generations upon generation upon generations in spite of stigma far more impactful and material than whatever counts as modern day slutshaming

You really have no right to force your partner into a life where he or she doesn't get to have as much or as little sex as they want. Which is why divorce exists So let your partners cheat because you have no right to tell them otherwise You do. That's what (most) marriage contracts entail. If you don't like that contract then again, divorce exists.

Basically do you think that women should be responsible for solving problems like male loneliness or sexual frustration, or do you just take it as an objective fact that women are the selective gender, and that dating is just inherently more difficult for men, and that's the way things are, and it isn't the fault of either gender? This is a false dichotomy

here I see more of men asking for women to give them a chance And they are stupid. They have nothing to do with my question though. And there's a difference between giving someone a chance out of pity/feeling bad for them, and giving someone a chance because you're opening to seeing what's there. As we can see from the tweet, tomato tomatoe.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 08:56 PM

I was being a bit of an asshole in the second one, apologies, but when he says 'women don't like talking to you', I thought it obvious that he referred to himself. Women not liking you talking to them for a certain reason in an abstract, moralised way is not the same thing as disliking every second of conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 08:55 PM

One of the advices being discussed is 'go to the gym'. This is not good advice for dating. It is. Talking to people who dislike you is not going to improve your social skills. Who said they all dislike him?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 08:47 PM

Your eating of real food is, without a shadow of a doubt, driving me to sucicide. I demand you start eating mud every day or else I'll commit suicide. Do you think this is a reasonable demand? Would you start eating mud? Would you be eilling to hear out the arguments of someone trying to guilt trip you into eating mud?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 08:20 PM

The fact remains that she isn't into him and is only giving him a shot out of pity. Clearly the conclusion is to avoid dating someone who is "giving you a chance".
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 08:17 PM

It doesn't though. The advice to go to the gym to achieve the goal of being more attractive is still perfectly valid. Additional bad advice does not invalidate the initial good advice.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 08:15 PM

This is how you sound. It isn't though. The advice is to talk to women. The goal is to improve your social skills. The opinions of random women on how you improve your social skills are completely irrelevant, and have no effect on whether the advice is an effective way of improving your social skills. The accurate analogy would be asking me where you can buy a car, I send you to a dealership ten miles away, and then later you come back angry at me because the salesman at the dealership was an as…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 08:14 PM

Your post seems to have nothing to do with the title. Expecting attraction to be a tit for tat isn't being selfish, it's just a really narrowminded view. People uktimately just want what they want. A beauitful person might want a rich person. Or they might not. "Fair game" is a loaded term, you can be attracted to and talk to whoever you want, but this is regardless a very silly mindset to have.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 08:08 PM
7

<image> That's odd. (Some) PPDers repeatedly insist that "being given a chance" is perfectly valid and nothing to be concerned about. And yet these women are openly talking about how it's done out of pity. How come? Where's the disconnect? Do those PPDers think these women are just lying?
