I went from a Honda shadow 750 to the Honda VTX 1800. They don’t make the 1800 VTX anymore but you can find them used. Great bikes. Very powerful too. I can’t comment too much on Harley because I’ve never owned or ridden one. But I will never regret buying my 1800. I’m a fan of Honda engines anyway. Very reliable. I have had no major issues with the bike except a seized up front caliper which I replaced myself. Hold on tight if you get one. It has enough torque to uproot an oak.
