'Boys underperform in schools because we look after their wellbeing less' - we split boys and girls up in schools talks.... we tell the girls about self confidence, STEM, body image... we tell the boys not to be sexist misogynist rapistsNo, of course not. They ignorantly ignored what it was like to be a ‘child’ in that environment. I can’t speak for the girls assembly as I only know what I heard from my girlfriend (whom I’m still with today). Unfortunately, I do not recall the organization responsible for the assembly. I could, however, reach out to my school to voice my opinion/concern. However, I’m not sure if I have the proper voice or tools to challenge such a decision. Maybe that makes me weak. But I’m not sure what I coul… | /r/MensRights | 12/12/20 06:20 AM
'Boys underperform in schools because we look after their wellbeing less' - we split boys and girls up in schools talks.... we tell the girls about self confidence, STEM, body image... we tell the boys not to be sexist misogynist rapistsI appreciate the kind words. You sound like an amazing person yourself. And I want to make this a point as a semi-active user in this subreddit, no matter what anyone might say here about women or any extremist thoughts that might come from this community: it is not the norm. We are all here for the same thing. The good ones here are not trying to put down women in any way or form. I hope that you always feel accepted here and never ostracized. | /r/MensRights | 12/12/20 03:27 AM
'Boys underperform in schools because we look after their wellbeing less' - we split boys and girls up in schools talks.... we tell the girls about self confidence, STEM, body image... we tell the boys not to be sexist misogynist rapistsI am terribly sorry that you had to go through such an experience. Believe me, watching what happened to my mother AND my step-mother was horrifying and traumatizing. Hearing of my mother being dragged out of the house by her ankles when she was pregnant will forever haunt me; even though I wasn’t alive to see it. My father can not be forgiven. And I’m sorry to turn this towards me, but being told that I would turn out to be the same as him hurt me. It hurt me so bad. I had never felt so invalid… | /r/MensRights | 12/12/20 02:57 AM
'Boys underperform in schools because we look after their wellbeing less' - we split boys and girls up in schools talks.... we tell the girls about self confidence, STEM, body image... we tell the boys not to be sexist misogynist rapistsI actually posted my story here before but when I was in high school, myself and the other males in my school were forced to sit and listen to a speaker from a women’s shelter. She held no punches when she told us that if our dads were abusers, that we would turn out to be abusers. No percentages, no data, just a simple belief that she was attempting to let us in on. My dad was an abuser. I am NOT. The scorn, shame and anger I felt from that seminar still resonates with me to this day. What an a… | /r/MensRights | 12/12/20 02:26 AM
So my teacher is a bit pissed at me, what are some good ways to respond? Are you an educator? You certainly sound like one. And a good one at that. I feel bad for this kid. You’re already powerless as an adolescent student and to have to face this type of bias makes it so much more difficult. I hope everything turns out alright for him. | /r/MensRights | 21/04/20 04:21 AM
So my teacher is a bit pissed at me, what are some good ways to respond?Absolutely. What you said is perfect too. Another example of “educating” OP rather than throwing out opinions and penalizing him without correction. | /r/MensRights | 20/04/20 11:31 PM
So my teacher is a bit pissed at me, what are some good ways to respond? You know what’s amazing to me? THIS is how his teacher should have responded. She should have corrected his original formatting and advised him on providing sources and citations when making a claim. Instead, she docked him points without proper correction and for writing information that went against what she believed. Her/his job is to be an educator, not an opinionater. Great response, by the way. | /r/MensRights | 20/04/20 09:57 PM
Guess the sub. We don't talk about women like this at all. But these lovely ladies like to refer to boys as future rapists. Terrible slur on the majority of boys and men. I don't think anyone in Men's Rights talks about women in this way at all. They merely critique feminism, due to stuff like thisI’m going to need to see your proof here. A magical formula of bone marrow and female eggs will create “a functioning baby”? That...that’s not how it works. The X is given by the mother. In order to have a girl, an additional X has to be given by the father. For a boy, a Y has to be given by the father. Where is the mother getting this second X to fertilize herself with? | /r/MensRights | 31/03/20 01:07 PM

👏 More 👏 Female 👏 Billionaires 👏I’m beginning to feel that you need to do some reading— in any aspect. Between the misspellings of words, choppy grammar, poor comprehension and the oh-so-overused, lazily-thrown out “lol”, as if it validates your point...you’re simply grasping at straws. 1.) She didn’t take “half the company’s worth”. Ya know why? Because the company has a market value over a TRILLION dollars. She received $38 billion in shares. 2.) | 0 | 👏 More 👏 Female 👏 Billionaires 👏Read about her. She was there from day one. She did many things to help start what we know as ‘Amazon’. I believe she even did early website management/creation. I get that this is a men’s rights subreddit, and I’m grateful to be a part of it, but I’m not going to take away credit from where it’s due. | /r/MensRights | 03/03/20 12:45 AM

First time commenting over at r/feminism. Absolutely crucified before AND after I said that black men are falsely accused of rape more than average. Even provided proof. I’m a white male.Nope. | 1 | First time commenting over at r/feminism. Absolutely crucified before AND after I said that black men are falsely accused of rape more than average. Even provided proof. I’m a white male.Yupp! I even provided a published study by the University of Michigan on false rape convictions when it comes to race and I was still downvoted to hell. The message I got from the moderator when I was banned was something like “I really hope you improve yourself for the better and find your way before it’s too late”. They just love their “little” victories that mean nothing. | /r/MensRights | 01/02/20 03:06 AM

First time commenting over at r/feminism. Absolutely crucified before AND after I said that black men are falsely accused of rape more than average. Even provided proof. I’m a white male.Well, according to them, “rape accusations are factual 3 times more than they are false”. Love it. What a thing to state as a fact in your own defense. | /r/MensRights | 31/01/20 01:07 AM
First time commenting over at r/feminism. Absolutely crucified before AND after I said that black men are falsely accused of rape more than average. Even provided proof. I’m a white male.Precisely. My wife is black. She’s been crying as much as I have, if not more, over his and the others’ deaths. She/we can’t stand what they’re doing to him not even a week after their tragic deaths. | /r/MensRights | 31/01/20 01:05 AM

My drink was spiked - No one took it seriously.About a year ago, I was out with my girlfriend at a club downtown. I had two beers. Now, as a preface, I am a heavy drinker. I drink a good amount of bourbon just about every night. Anyway, after two beers, I felt heavily intoxicated. Could barely walk, incoherent, etc. I didn’t know what was going on. Girlfriend called us an Uber and I immediately passed out. In and out of consciousness for about an hour. I’d never felt anything like it. After about 3 hours, it all went away and I felt someone … | /r/MensRights | 15/09/19 07:24 AM

Our teachers at school called all the male students for a meeting.I’ll never forget when I was in high school the entire grade being called to an assembly so that the leaders from the women’s shelter could speak to the girls in the school—with all the guys present. They were essentially warning the girls of behaviors that men exhibit and went so far as to say that boys who grew up in abusive homes WILL become abusers themselves at some point in their lives. I was so upset. I grew up in an abusive household for a short period of time and I have never exhibited … | /r/MensRights | 23/02/19 05:52 PM
