I never said ignore them, I said don't use those stats as an excuse to throw all of them under the bus. And as I say again and again, you're not as much of an intellectual as you think you are if you're willing to say "I don't like a whole group of people - they're all criminals." Speaking of those stats, what about the 6.5% that didn't commit crimes? They're below you too?

It's very telling of your mindset that you didn't bother acknowledging the part where I accepted those statistics and articles. You seem wise.

Yikes I understand, you're being triggered because I'm not upset. That guy I just replied to is obviously intelligent, I'm just not willing to dismiss an entire race of people despite the arguments he presented. Why do you have a problem with that? Do you want me to claim one group of people isn't equal to the rest of us?

"Still better than animals, but on a relative scale to other humans..." "Their weakness is in civilized behavior," I don't know, that still seems like this is a sugarcoated way to call someone subhuman. "They're better than animals, but they are the one group of humans that aren't as civilized as the rest of humanity." This girl wasn't given any special treatment, I don't think she had one class where her grade was below 97%, why is it so hard to believe an extremely intelligent black human bein…

Aren't a lot of people from Eastern Europe tall and muscular as well? Or a lot of Asian people short? Body-type isn't going to just naturally give someone the intelligence to play sports at the highest level - it's up to them to strategize, practice, and think on their feet. Your comment doesn't really sound as hateful as the others though. I'm not saying not to listen to statistics, but they shouldn't include an entire race of people as "criminals, subhuman, unintelligent." And to be fair, this…

I don't understand, when did migrants come into this? I was talking about you insinuating black people are leaching off the government - although I admit I don't know enough about American politics to talk about your welfare system. The only bone I have to pick here is that you guys responding to my comment are viewing an entire race of people as subhuman, how is that fair?

I noticed that in almost every post that has black people/gifs. If it's any comfort, let's say out of 100% of the internet population, around 2-10% genuinely hold these bigoted opinions. They only seem to pop up more often because of the response controversy generates. Also, a lot of them only use social media like reddit (complete anonymity, cowards like to hide). I know some of them have the ability to realize they're thinking wrong and become better people, but the ones that are hopeless? We …

I don't identify as a liberal though, so what's the message to me? I'm from a privileged race with a privileged upbringing, and I never encountered black people in my life until I was like 13. I have a family that would make jokes about locking the doors when they came by - and yet I realized how small-minded it is to write off a whole race of people. Instead of reading articles that'll confirm your beliefs and hiding from them, you should go interact with them. They're human beings, and look ho…

Thanks, I do hope some of them think: if the situation was reversed - would they want to be generalized that way?

Don't worry - these people are just a minority themselves that hang out on reddit. They're the ones who'll kick others down because they can't bring themselves up lol

What does that even mean? I'm a girl - I love this sub. I'm sorry you didn't have anything wittier to say.

You just sound like another lazy guy hoping the government will stop giving hand-outs to people you deem unworthy, and start giving them to you. Just because you're not smart/motivated enough to make a six-figure living doesn't mean it's a whole ethnicity's fault. Stop expecting the government to solve all the problems you blame on others - and start looking into making change yourself.

A fact I've seen being quoted for probably a decade on the internet. I'm asking why they felt the need to just make that statement when the post doesn't mention anything about that person's race? I hate to even say this as it shouldn't be necessary when defending another group of human beings, but I'm not black - does that help you understand I'm not triggered here? You guys just aren't capable of thinking abstractly. Sometimes I forget the general population of reddit is pretty dumb.

You're right, I guess they're just showcasing their lack of intelligence to the world. I like the point you made about it being like a dogwhistle!

Looking at your account, I'm not surprised you made this comment. But hey my fellow Canadian, it's sad to see you're letting American politics cuck you.

I'm Canadian so I can't speak on your stat - but can I ask you something personally? Even if your stat is right (which I heard it is), why'd you comment this? What's your agenda? All I really see is: Your response: "yeah, that community - the blacks, they commit most of the crime in america" What some idiots on reddit will make of your response is: "hah, something to confirm my beliefs. Another reason to hate that particular 13% of America's population." What's the point you're making? Really tr…

I agree with the top comment - get that toxic voice out of your head! It's never too late if you do end up doing it eventually, and you did. That type of ability will take you far - to just take that step that feels so agonizing to take. Awesome job, you did the one thing that most people find the most difficult to do in dating. Good job OP

I feel we're both just reiterating our responses to each other at this point. You didn't find this post helpful because I didn't include steps and actions you'd find informative - I understand that now. You don't agree with my approach in this post, and I don't agree with your implication that I'm generalizing this subreddit. That's fair enough, I do appreciate this discussion we had as I was able to see how this post is interpreted by a male (not to assume).

I never said this whole subreddit is about teaching manipulation. I want you to specify any time I said "all this sub teaches is manipulation" - I said there are some posts that promote this kind of idea. Of course it'd be wrong for me to say this whole subreddit teaches men to manipulate women. I don't appreciate you thinking I'm attacking this subreddit. You say you don't have an issue with me but your sentences are just: "nice dodge with x" "stop assuming what I'm thinking" "you shouldn't be …

Okay I see where there's another misunderstanding happening between us. When I said that in my previous post, to clarify, I was saying: you misinterpreted my post by thinking "That I was: Making topics up intentionally, dismissing social anxiety, or that I think this whole sub is about manipulating women." <- direct quote Whether someone has self-esteem issues or social anxiety, or some other kind of issue that makes them fearful of going out into the world, their main goal is to be confident wi…

Here are some (made up) topics you shouldn't look for advice on: ^ Directly copied from the post, I can't find any place where I said "oops I made these up by accident" Look, just tell me your main issue you have with me, so I can reply with mine. I'm not getting much from this exchange except you picking the post apart and me elaborating on your points (which I reduced in size anyway to make it less annoying to read). I admit I can't just imply you should get over your anxiety. But am I suppose…

That I was: Making topics up intentionally, dismissing social anxiety, or that I think this whole sub is about manipulating women. I'm assuming people skimmed over this post and didn't see the many times I said "some posts" many time. The PMs are pretty innocent though, like case studies. For example: "I'm talking to this girl and she said X, is it an appropriate time to say Y?" If you really want me gone you could PM the mods or something, but this exact post squeezed into a comment saying "be …

You said that as if I didn't write "made up" in the post about those topics. I listed those as obvious types of topics and notions for guys to avoid. Nor did I say "don't learn to talk to women." The thing is, you keep focusing on the "be confident, be yourself, don't be anxious" sentence when that's not the only thing I wrote in this post. I also stand by it, as being secure and confident with who you are is really a goal everyone should have before serious dating. I learned this from my favori…

Thank you for this, I'm starting to see more of why there's a formula-based kind of way of thinking in this subreddit. I agree, there's a lot of assholes who try to profit off socially inexperienced men - especially with clickbait youtube videos, or promoting their books/websites in subreddits like this. Trust me though, I was absolutely not privileged with the natural attraction every woman gets for a while. I was bullied by guys throughout my childhood because I was a fat kid - I didn't lose t…

I'm not implying this sub as a whole is, I said "some of the posts here:" I get the sense you think I'm putting people down for being socially anxious - I was socially anxious until I graduated from highschool and sometimes it comes back. My post was suggesting a goal for you guys, as I've seen it the other way around too. Men aren't usually that attracted to girls who are overly shy/anxious all the time, because then you can't be comfortable or yourself around them. Look, my post was aggressive…

I understand. My post is more about "what I, as a woman want/don't want" - I hope you guys can take it as an insight, rather than advice.

I'm not saying this sub as a whole is about being strategic/seeing women as puzzles, but there is a tendency for that idea in this sub. Like I said to a different comment, do you really want to waste your time with women who play constant mind-games/hard to get? What I like about this sub's actual goal is it's men trying to "understand" seduction, rather than calculating it. I guess that's the point of my post - try to understand and keep yourself in mind, instead of making the whole interaction…

Three guys, and I only started getting into dating after highschool. I stopped pursuing this one guy because he turned out to be a shitty person. No women though, I'm not interested. Why?

Would you really want a woman who constantly plays games though? They're no better.

My advice is hard, but it's the advice you'll be working towards step by step anyways. You just have to stop giving a shit about what other people think. I'm telling you, I'm a girl - and guys who don't care at all what other people (male and female) think of them - are very secure with themselves, and they appear confident because they aren't constantly showing body language/speech that says "oh no, I'm im a public place - what do they think of me? I'm so worried". So what I'm saying is, I coul…

True, it goes both ways. I guess the more independent ones (not an insult to those women) don't.

One thing (this is probably not universal) that's a massive turn-off for me is when men actively seek out younger girls though, like if a guy is 40 and says "I only wanna date 21 year olds." Just an opinion though.

No way, definitely not too late. You have all the info - now it's just the fear of stepping out of the comfort zone of protecting yourself emotionally. My favorite comedian and forever celebrity crush is Bill Burr - and he never got into that stuff until he was in his 30s either. He has tons of advice podcasts on youtube you might like! TLDR; He got into dating in his 30s after bouts of depression/not doing anything, and now has been with his wife for 20 years.

If she has barely made eye contact with you or interacted with you in any way, DO NOT DO THIS. This is very uncomfortable, especially if she didn't even know you were approaching her and just began grinding on her. Even if you're 10/10 smoking hot, girls don't want someone to just walk up and grind on them out of nowhere. You gotta read their body language, and they need to feel safe - which will only happen if they start making more eye contact and smiling at you, and touching you slightly to s…

I like them, I'm 20F for reference. TIPS: • Don't spill your heart out when you're getting to know a girl initially, make her pry - and you should pry a little too. We want to work for it while trying to get to know who you are, and we want you to do the same work. •Girls can sense it if you desperately want them to like you. We don't want someone who comes off overly-anxious, or overly-polite, but obviously we don't want an asshole. We just want someone who comes off secure, doesn't alter his p…

Wow, agreed with this 100%. If I took from your post correctly, people who blame others won't feel the motivation to move forward and improve themselves, if the rest of the world is to blame - and deem their problems unsolvable as they're "out of their own hands". Awesome post OP, hope ya get more traction!
