I think the face thing is true. When I go out with friends I notice that it is the ones with the fit bodies that get all of the looks, even when they are plain in the face. I have been told that a doll-like face. A lot of people compliment me on it. But if I am next to one of my friends who has a nice body (I am slightly overweight), it is like I am invisible. For men, faces are definitely secondary to fit bodies in my experience.

Just to be clear, I don’t want to tell my husband to get these things done. I want him to do it on his own and want to do it because taking care of your home reflects well on you and your family. It shows your family you care about them. There is a post on here suggesting divorce. I found that to be pretty shocking. My husband is a good man and father, and faithful and caring in many ways to me as a husband. I want to respect him. That is the whole reason why I am here; to learn how to change my…

I think that an ideal family is one where the husband and wife work together to maintain a happy space in their home both for themselves and their children. Everyone is important and has value. I personally like my husband to be the head of our household in terms of the major decision-making, but this is very challenging when we have non-traditional characteristics too, such as the fact that we both work full time. He is aware, but he accuses me of nagging him when I address this topic. How would you like a woman to talk to you about it? The issue is I want very badly to show my husband respect, but I am disheartened that he is not pulling his own weight, so to speak. I want to see him as the leader of our family, but I am disappointed and feel like he gets to have his cake (a high salary earning wife) and eat it too (a traditional woman at home).

I am not sure, but I would think that I am definitely not the only one here who works full time, right? I am pretty traditional. I am a conservative Catholic woman and I am raising my children with traditional values. Can you elaborate a little more on your statement that the two cannot coexist?

Thanks for your contribution. I also take b12 and d3. What are the dha and iodine for exactly?

I want so badly to be fitter. How do other women deal with severe body image issues on here? I am slightly overweight (I have had two children) and I am really struggling despite many different approaches to weight loss. It is negatively impacting my sex life and I feel tremendously guilty that my husband isn't getting the attention he needs.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
