There’s definitely an argument for hiding it for a bit so that there is a closeness already and they are (hopefully) less likely to just dismiss you out of hand. But if your faith and caste matters enough that it is happening that often I think you would be wasting both your time and theirs if you hide it. Honesty sets you up for a better relationship and leaves you open to finding the right one instead of wasting time on people who will dump you for things like that.

I read the title and immediately assumed you were from West Virginia

Have you been a victim of being kicked in the balls? You may be entitled to compensation…

Overcoming obstacles doesn’t mean they aren’t present. Anecdotally I rarely if ever got matches on dating apps and didn’t find success until I met a girl at my church and won her over in person. Dating app culture specifically leaves most men at a disadvantage. That doesn’t make finding love impossible, just harder than it should be in an ideal world.

How much detail do I need to go into for your point to be considered “addressed”? I thought the parellells I tried to highlight didn’t need much further explanation. What is easy to some isn’t easy to others. Plenty of people are still dating, they have the necessary skills and charm to overcome obstacles. You’re not wrong about that. But there are still a large amount that the current system leaves behind. Very similar to home ownership.

Buying a house is not as hard as people claim. know, there are countless videos and comments made by people complaining about how depressingly difficult it is for people to buy a house and whilst I understand that there are people who genuinely struggle in affording one, I strongly disagree that it is as difficult for men as they claim. I've seen far too many people (of all social statuses) who not only own their own homes, but are easily and quickly able to buy two or three.

But also most people don’t have the patience for the long game. And many of those who do either play it too long and don’t bite when the interest is sparked or waste all that time on someone who never was going to be interested.

Mostly unrelated but I partly wonder if truth or dare or never have I ever were made as ways for kids to approach talking about feelings. It’s a setup for a situation where you’re supposed to ask a question like have you ever wanked it to one of your friends.

But only live event DJs. The ones on the radio not as much. At least not in small markets in my experience

have you ever been on r/truerateme? a five is actually pretty attractive most guys would be happy to have their attention.

Nudes for girls and guys are very different things. A picture of a dick does basically nothing for most women matter of fact it will usually be interpreted as the sender is a creep. If there is extreme context and foreplay leading up to a dick pic with a vivid and artful description of why it’s being sent…. Maybe sometimes it will go well… maybe… girls care more about the context of a sexual encounter. You should probably never send a penis picture unless it’s asked for.

I think getting set up by friends and family is a better option than people think. that way people are vetted a little bit before you even meet them. but outside of that if I was attractive I would go out and do the things the guys I'd want would be doing. after that if i felt like anyone noticed me i'd set up a few opportunities for them to make a move and if they didn't i'd invite them to do something low key.

I married a single mom. I probably wouldn't have given her a chance if I hadn't seen her without the kid first but the little girl came up to me when I picked her up for the first date and I found I didn't care (and not just cause the kid was adorable). That date i doubled down on not caring and even started wanting to be her dad just because of how amazing her mother was. gorgeous girl who was a better match for me than i could have imagined. And I might have looked past her just because she ha…

sometimes complaining feels good. It can be really satisfying to voice your concerns and be heard. but as for solving problems, fixing yourself is all you can do. maybe the specific advice of making more money or hitting the gym isnt' relevant to you. but everyone has room to be better. Chances of success are a lot better trying to change yourself than trying to change another person or society as a whole.

probably not as cool as Chris Rock, that's for sure. But I can think of several jokes I've made in the past where I felt like I would have deserved it. Low blows about things that genuinely hurt people. Most of the time though I would probably feel indignant cause I am biased. I just got slapped after all.

not the right response in all or even most situations. So, also probably not the right response in this situation. But I definitely would be open to the possibility of situations where it is the right response to a particularly distasteful joke.

i agree with that. but i don't agree with the premise of the Original post. This doesn't show will smith as weak, just as someone who overreacts.

He was laughing. She was not. He saw she was hurt and then he tried to play hero. whatever you think he deserves. he cares about her and her feelings and acted to try and make her feel better, or at least prevent her feeling worse. there are obviously better responses. but i don't think changing your feelings about something once you get new information makes you a hypocrite.

I do think it's staged but not for Will. awards shows have been getting less and less interest every year so they needed to spice it up somehow.

he wasn't defending her honor, he was defending her feelings. a very important distinction. people with alopecia are often very self conscious about their hair and so rock's joke was probably taken as particularly offensive. In my eyes this gets him more man points not less. he's standing up for someone he loves. whatever their sexual circumstances are has nothing to do with it. he is showing her he cares and reminding the world that some jokes are out of bounds.

i call BS. the majority of women defintely weigh personality higher than other traits. it may not be the personality that you think they should, or maybe your expereince is misleading becuase you have not accurately evaluated your own personality. maybe even you have only observed and experienced outliers, but women are absolutely willing to overlook looks and fall for personality. I will give you that when it works that way it isn't as quick, but a guys chances at chipping away at a girls shall…

The best example of this is college dorms. Even in what's often their first time living alone the girls apartment usually feels much more welcoming.

you have more than enough responses to this so you probably won't read this. but i relate. I got married at thirty after a lifetime of relating to your situation. a few pieces of advice - be humble: don't confuse this with low self esteem because they are very different things, but nobody is right all the time and this includes you. - cut the girls some slack: for most they aren't whoring around for their prime years. and even if it looks like they were, they were learning and growing into the p…

victim blaming is BS. the only person you can change is you. so some introspection and exploring the possibility that you can change things will be a lot more beneficial than any alternatives. having a discussion online about the societal problems that result in situations like yours can be interesting but ultimately not really fruitful. changing yourself is a very hard task but just saying someone is victim blaming for making an observation that most people aren't good at honesty in self assess…

Words, but not too many words. Touching, but not too much touching. Size, but not too much size. Passion, but not too much passion.

Respond to that with a Dolly Parton gif, and then ask her about her job

I’ve noticed similar problems, and a part of it seems to be the activity done on the date. What are you asking them to do?

3rd date is too soon to bail if you genuinely like her. Although I’d you’re honest with yourself and it’s just a shallow attraction then yeah you might move on.
