What if sexless men who feel shitty for not attracting sex become shittier when they prioritize sex more
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/22 09:01 PM

Realistically it’s almost never a good time to ask someone if they’re a virgin.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/22 08:45 PM

Way too black & white and no consensus in scientific community for these.

I think as of now, men need to register for Selective Service at age 18. I think the US Senate was considering requiring women register in 2016, but I don’t know if that ever passed. There’s no draft in effect, but there can be whenever the US feels the need to conscript (or whatever criteria is met).
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/22 12:30 AM

Feminism isn’t quiet about the draft. It usually states that the draft should be abolished altogether.

You read that somewhere?

People aren’t wrong to be suspicious of a relationship between 40 & 20 like they are of a teacher dating a student. Power imbalances in relationships are concerning. It is what it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/22 05:55 PM

That sounds really hard. I can understand how it would feel for a friend to respond like that when I want to share an important part of my life with them. I also understand that no one should be made to do anything they are uncomfortable with. It sounds like it is for the best that you did not maintain friendship.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/22 12:41 AM

What’s important to you about your friends hanging out with your husband? Or is it that they made a point to refuse being around your husband that is a dealbreaker for you? In my early 20’s I was in relationships where my partner felt insecure about a coworker, classmate, friend, etc. I’m happy to work through these feelings with a partner however I can. I’ve agreed to partners to limit interactions with folks that make them insecure in the past, but I wouldn’t anymore. No criticism of others, b…

Women should exorcise their agency any time it is known to be relevant for them to do so and they are comfortable doing so. If a man is the one pursuing something only he knows he wants, he introduces the opportunity for misunderstanding. i was harsh, but I’m not intending to shame anyone. I think an overwhelming prevalence of “friendzone” deserves attention. I think a lot of men who recur here are obsessed, desperate and hurt. They deserve help.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/22 04:34 PM
1

Nobody knows that a friendzone declared man was seeking more than friendship. Men who declare themselves in the friend zone were not honest about their intentions to begin with. Be direct and honest with others you are pursuing instead of playing these games. Edit to add: calling it the ‘friendzone’ diminishes the value of relationships with women. It reduces their value to romantic and/or sexual nature and that’s not good on you. If that’s how you really feel about it, I believe there is someth…

Have you or your husband ever had to give up a friendship or opportunity for friendship due to the other feeling insecure?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/22 03:41 PM

Na that’s bullshit because a) men can be friends with people they find attractive and b) men can be friends with women. The friendzone is made up by men who were not honest with themselves or who they were pursuing.

I don’t really agree with the premise that women are pickier. Someone can agree to a date and then be disappointed with the date. I think in your example it’s about the effort they feel the other putting into them. I think it’s unreasonable to expect more than a coffee date for a first date, but that doesn’t need to stop anyone from feeling disappointed with this result. I don’t agree that men should be solely responsible for the content of every date- this is in line with FDS philosophy that I …

I imagine the range of your examples of skinny women may be too tight and extreme to resonate with most people.

Why Mondays/Thursdays & Tuesdays/Saturdays? You okay OP? I’m fine with my partner producing sexual content and/or having had a lot of sex. Bananas up the bum is pretty silly but as long as if isn’t unhealthy shrug 🤷‍♂️ Same age range. I’d generally prefer not to be with a virgin.

Why not? Using terms like this sounds like a win-win in the case you bring up. He gets to walk away and she successfully vetted your friend out. Very consensual.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 04:58 PM

I disagree with a lot of the people here calling the term demisexual unnecessary or ‘alphabet’. The term very specifically points to something. It could be like trying to claim ‘heterosexual’ is an unnecessary term. With that said, a lot of trad people will shut down any and all 21st century sex/gender identifiers 🤷‍♂️ If you’re not going to have sex until wedlock anyways, bringing up that you are demisexual can be avoided as a redundancy. Regarding your straight with extra steps feelings, you c…

How does someone get to choose this lifestyle at 18? And isn’t it concerning not developing any career to rely on if needed?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 07:17 AM

I’ve been trying to find data supporting the claims here that so many women prefer to stay home, raise children/ make home, traditional gender role type stuff. I haven’t found it though. I find that women prefer to work outside of the home rather than be / become SAHM. The other thing I see is women referred to as SAHM when they have remote careers concurrently, and that SAHM like/want remote careers concurrently with raising children. Seems like a different meaning from the traditional SAHM.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 03:16 AM

The logic isn’t doing it for me. To me, ‘a woman’s past’ seems like a dated euphemism that specifically refers to a woman’s sexual history.

A lot of the non mainstream and/or more radical American left are very strongly pro guns, but other than that, I imagine there are very few women who will check items off your list outside of your elders or the religious. Curious how you’ve accrued all those values minus the religion.

What are some examples of views/values that are dealbreakers? Or alternatively, what are some views/values that are important to share?

That sounds about right for a move from the Midwest to Seattle. Seattle’s tragically lame for its own reasons. I can’t really relate since I’ve grown up and lived in left leaning spaces. Do you dislike the views and values held by others around you?

College in general is overrated and overpriced. But there won’t be any serious considerations to bar women from college. It’s mostly women who want to go.

I can’t speak for all millennials, but we do not tend to be in favor of the 50’s. And taking women out of college so they are bottlenecked into early marriage is not going to invigorate 1950s spending power.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/22 04:15 PM
1

Which generation likes the 50’s? And what makes you think its conditions can just be recreated? I don’t imagine limiting women’s life choices will sufficiently reproduce the post war economy. The society’s structure served to hold everyone beneath white men- there is no way this can be successfully reintroduced
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/22 03:33 PM

Think reproductive health services/rights, prosecution of violence against women, workplace discrimination against women. Republican thought tends not to favor women on these subjects, hence the coined ‘War on Women’

I think someone could pull them off, but in general it’s not a style I find interesting. I can’t speak for anyone else. I like black boots. So like some docs knockoffs can be pretty affordable, but I can’t speak to their quality. Some docs or some laceup Thursday Boots are fine. I’ve had the same pair of “waterproof” boots for more than 4 years now and they‘re in great shape still, so the $120 price tag feels justified.

Are either of these TRP types more respectful of gender identities outside the binary?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/22 05:43 PM
10

I’m in a similar position to you OP where I am around and close to a lot of non-binary and trans individuals. I think that at best the red pill (TRP) tends not to acknowledge anything outside a gender binary, and at worst TRP rejects anything outside of gender binary. I have been told by another user on this sub that I am bluepilled for self-identifying as cis.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/22 04:37 PM

Depends on what you mean. A lot of people “acknowledging biology” to make a claim about transgender are incorrect about biology in their claim, and to that effect transphobic depending on the claim

Agree 4. 5 I usually agree but it can’t be proven it won’t hold up. “Men... are allowed to opt out of the responsibility of the birth of the baby.” If I’m understanding you correctly, my thoughts are that men should be able to opt out of child support, but there needs to be a good social net in place to support single mothers. Children are expensive, and once a child is born, someone or something (tax dollars) has to pay for it.

There was a recently reported case of this from some high up employee at Blizzard. She didn’t get a position everybody expected her to get, then the next 10 years or so she was neglected as young dudes were promoted around her. She left the company at her therapist’s suggestion. Her case should be easy enough to find on google

Not at all. I haven’t once criticized a man’s ability to get laid on this page. It’s on men to unlearn their toxic bullshit and it’s on women to unlearn theirs. You just see a lot more perpetuation by men in this space.

You have complete control over what you say and do. Generally, I would avoid complimenting people I don’t have a rapport with. Edit to add: compliments are weird ways of opening a dialogue. I don’t know if that’s true. I’ve made connections with lots of women over the years through similarities in political views/passions, music, recreational drugs, subjects of study, art (writing for me), Dungeons & Dragons/board games, etc.

It’s not. The lack of other options is. Or society’s expectation you perform this role is. I’m not sure if most people love the idea of being a stay at home parent.

I’m a man and I believe traditional marriage was harmful to women, so I’m not too sure what you mean by your first sentence. Sure, people want the benefits of traditional marriage (whatever they are) without the consequences. Even if that is possible, most people can’t afford them, but I agree with that. My point was that I think there are lots of people for which there is nothing appealing about traditional marriage- no benefits to it for them. As far as your second block, I don’t agree with th…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 10:15 PM

By traditional marriage I mean marriage that enforces traditional gender roles. Wife stays at home and raises children without many other options readily available to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 09:50 PM

It’s worth noting that it was common for women to suffer in recent traditional marriage. Queue husbands committing their wives for not wanting to have sex. We shouldn’t look backwards.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 09:01 PM

I’m a no pill cisman, so I doubt my thoughts will be taken seriously, but I think the answer is no. TRP inherently thinks poorly of women. TRP game is inherently harmful to women and yourselves.

yes it is. Social conditioning is always there. If you mean that in 2022 there are no gender-specific differences in social conditioning, I still disagree. Regardless, a 30 year-old is born in 1991 or 1992. They weren’t socially conditioned in 2022.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 04:36 PM

I’ve experienced being the lower libido partner in relationships, and that’s where I’ve witnessed women feeling rejected the most. When we’ve talked about it, they understand that they aren’t owed sex. I’ve been open to giving oral sex, using toys, etc. but in some cases the connection of penetrative sex with their partners was important for them and we’d break up due to sexual incompatibilities.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 04:29 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 11:07 PM

I agree. I like to avoid generalizing, and I think plenty of men do get this, but the obsession some men have with “game” is unreal. For myself, losing the pressure to get laid played a large role in cultivating social skills that led to improving all kinds of relationships and, you guessed it, greater potential for sex. A lot of my close friends that are men have had similar experiences.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 11:00 PM

I don’t think we want the same things. I think there is far too much structural domination in Western society. Philosophy and practice of domination, particularly in western society, is linked throughout modern ethics papers in plenty of subjects to all sorts of observed issues in environment, qualities of life, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 10:22 PM

Society isn’t threatened by man living life. Society is threatened by man reaching to dominate everything. It’s only recently that women have been able to determine much of their lives- there’s no need to have a power trip over women selectively dating.

I think pills are blown up by online spaces beyond anything they’re based on in reality, and I think pills worsen the issues they are used for. Normalizing studying and implementing TRP philosophy to “game” women is going to make the perceived issues worse.

I know I’m not. If you’re just working on your body and mind to be a better you, that’s not unique to red pill. If you’re manipulating people as “game”, which is unique to red pill, you are a bad person.

The point is that the red pill is gross because it’s a subscribed ideology you can’t even share. You’re aware that women will turn you down for your stance on it. Dating and forming adult relationships isn’t about winning. It’s about consent and enjoyment and in some cases building something significant with someone. I think it’s deceptive to apply a hidden ideology as leverage on someone in order to gain something you want from them, all while you’re aware that this person probably disapproves …

“It won’t work if you talk to women about it” - that’s kind of my point. Personally, I’m not interested in anything manufactured by the manosphere. It’s distasteful at best and I find it harmful. For most people it’s probably nothing more than something to cling onto out of desperation. A useless scheme. Better to not.

The irony is that most women aren’t going to be attracted to trending red pill philosophy and behavior. It’s self destructive sabotage.

Redpill + blackpill: trending manosphere bullshit Bluepill: vaguely, anything else It’s no surprise to me that women would tend to shut down the idea of partnering with TRP dudes. While TRP dudes may have some general core value of improving men’s lifestyle today, in practice the manosphere spew is harmful. FDS is basically the red pill for women. I will point out that if TRP promotes that men should support women in a traditional child raising / house caring role, FDS technically promotes the o…

I don’t have any issues with some good consensual swinging, but I certainly prefer polyamory for myself as a cisman. I’m not threatened by partners’ sexuality or romance with others, and I enjoy the freedom to develop my relationships with others as we like. In an ideal world, we are not obsessed with or threatened by others’ sexuality or relationships.

That’s got to devolve us. I only want partners who want to be with me and vice versa or none at all.

I’m doubtful that this is a real issue. Lots of women can’t cum from penetrative sex alone anyways. Not all women can cum from oral, but going down on a woman is a sensation hard to recreate with a toy.

Unpopular opinion in this sub I’m sure, but polyamory is fine. It reduces a lot of the stress of monogamy and partner selection. There are lots of different models of polyamory to consider. Ultimately, it’s not for everyone, but it’s fulfilling and liberating if it works for you. It’s important to note that polyamory is not objectively better or worse than monogamy, and it won’t fix issues present in a monogamous relationship. Edit to add: for more logistical purposes of raising children, monoga…

I’m curious- which men were told this? I am 27 cishet man and this message was not ingrained in me. My friends and peers share similar outlooks.

As a bottom line I would say anyone can break up with anyone for any reason or none at all. If you are uncomfortable because a partner remains in contact with an ex, I suggest ending the relationship because you should not sacrifice your comfort. Challenging the idea in a vacuum that ‘any communication with an ex necessarily means something is there and proves incentive to cheat’ isn’t manipulation. Regarding your your case of Instagram users pushing radical opinions and reaping some greatest be…

I’m not running for office and I’m not a woman. I’m a cis het-leaning man who has dated a lot. I’m not saying sexual satisfaction isn’t important, but I think you are overstating its relevance as a cause for ending relationships. What is superficial is the thought of inherent threat from communication with an ex or large social media followings. Confidence carries some of the most weight and attraction in the modern dating world, while control and intolerance could be seen paired on the other en…

I agree it’s best to leave when boundaries are broken. It’s not a common event for me, though. And I don’t think your message boils down to your response like that. I disagree with your list of needs for men as an acting authority on the subject, and I think you are extremely focused on superficial details that are hardly based in reality and relationships. Texting an ex is not inherently bad. There’s nothing threatening or bothersome by women with large IG followings, and that is such a small s…

I guess it depends on your geopolitical environment. I do just fine without much for traditional masculinity.

Not just women. There is less stress on men to be traditionally masculine. Non-monogamous relationships are more accessible to men now than ever. Men on average can and do have more partners than their grandfathers.

Now: Women have more freedom to select their partners. Gender roles are more challenged. The middle class is weak and traditional nuclear family less appealing. Alternative relationship styles and casual dating are more accessible through modern internet. Later: traditional relationship models fall out of majority practice/preference?

Women in OLD also experience a variety of unpleasantries. Unicorn Hunters, gross advances, hostility, etc. For a lot of my femme-presenting friends, the cons vastly outweigh the pros of OLD, so the fact there are more men does not surprise me.

“Men only want one thing” is more a meme than anything else. I’d venture to say that women are more sexual. You always hear about men carrying the lower libido in cishet relationships. Edit to add: demisexuality looks pretty evenly split between men and women.

Alternatively, it could be due to social conditioning, and that’s what I’m leaning toward without data. Why do you think it inherently means that women are less sexual?

I’m fairly satisfied with my life as is. If I’m in great shape and healthy I imagine I’ll just feel better physically and mentally.

It may depend on the individual’s goals, but most people could achieve attractive appearance at which the greatest benefit to their sex and social life, if they are lacking, would be honing in on their non-physical traits. Sure, someone more attractive may achieve more than someone less attractive all else equal. My point is that at some point physical attractiveness is no longer what the individual should focus on when seeking to improve their chemistry with others. Edit to add: while one’s phy…

Hard disagree. It can still exist and be desired in sex, but some dude behaving dominantly in some regular context is not placed on a pedestal. It’s an outlandishly foolish look. A lot of modern ethics by women circulates on pushing domination out of general culture and economics. Ecofeminism is a good place to start reading on that.

It’s not that simple for most people. You can be good looking and not have any experiences for it bc you can’t groove with anybody, in which case how you look is not the limiting feature to focus on.

Same. I feel like a lot of my problems directly related or not would vanish if I was in great shape

It seems unlikely an ex would be okay with keeping their nudes. Seems like a consent issue.

Seems off topic considering we’re discussing sent&received nudes.

Let’s be honest and consider that folks we are no longer intimate with may not enjoy knowing that we are hanging on to their nudes. Even if I wanted to keep them, I don’t want to have the awkward experiences of seeking continuous consent from an ex to keep these nudes, so I delete them (if I stored them to begin with). Furthermore, I don’t enjoy what I think hanging onto these nudes represents. Every person is different, so it could mean different things from person to person, but what does view…
