This study seems to focus and measure the outcome you were looking for, from a self-perception point of view. Basically how attractive other genders & orientations see “you” based on self reported adherence to gender norms. https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/00224499.2014.1002128 The abstract states: The present study examined and compared the importance of a variety of traits for self-perceived sexual attractiveness. Self-identified heterosexual, gay, and bisexual men (N = 1,801) and h…

It’s impossible, IMO, to one specific definitive indicator... but a very good litmus test in to a guy’s “Chadness” is their social media presence and cultivated persona. What they like, who they follow, who follows them, pictures or updates they post, who comments and what they say.

You were actually honest & transparent in word and action. Where as, the best that I can extrapolate, is his life was a such shitshow and he didn’t hide that fact that he relied on these women to read between the lines and if they were high value they wouldn’t want to commit to a dude in that state? Which isn’t really being honest at all.

Exactly. The amount of men that are “universally” attractive in real life is astoundingly low. In my entire life there has only ever been one man that I have seen up close in person (not a celebrity) that I was mesmerized by how physically perfect & attractive he was... and he was a waiter at a chain restaurant.

neuroticism; a tendency toward anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and other negative feelings.

Umm, no. It’s the exact opposite. Neurotic men tend to be needy, whiny, emotionally demanding and narcissistic.

Yeah, seems more like a trope than anything.

Holy shit, I could have wrote this... except we did have a child, and he wanted a divorce but refused to leave our house or amicably split, and the mortgage was in my name solely, so I had to spend an entire year living with him. And I hate when people ask me why we split up because I really have no answer, and never received one. So my best guess is he disliked me or was using me as a nanny/housekeeper/good credit and substantial savings account provider.

There is a huge leap between “landing in jail” and “insulted and momentarily embarrassed”.

I mean, if you’re still in high school this social reputation thing might apply, but not with most adults.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? As with most exploitative/negative social constructs, they evolve and take on an energy of their own. It’s about the shifting of power and reappropriating the power dynamic. You can’t be exploited by others if you willingly exploit yourself and therefore owns the means AND the end.

LOL. Sometimes (often) women say this because they are trying to get rid of the competition for themselves. This is “alpha” female behavior. Some women actively compete, other women erode their competition’s confidence insidiously until there is no competition remaining.

Because it comes across as rehearsed, fake, and inauthentic. I’m big on authenticity in all of my friendships & relationships.

I really liked this movie too. If he wants to go with “insane”, and use Lanthimos, my pick is “Dogtooth”. It’s WAYYY more insane.

Don't refer to women as broads would be a good start.

Anyway you could be more specific about the behavior you are experiencing? Unless you somehow find yourself attracted only to very hostile and bitter women, it's hard to understand how this behavior could be the norm for you. If your nerves and overall self image cause you to clam up and become quiet, closed off, or unapproachable to these women... yet the "hotter" women that you don't feel you have a chance with and therefore nothing to lose, you are suddenly charismatic, open, and relatable to…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
