Ok and they can go fuck themselves because we don’t need to invest anything in people like that.

If your internal dialog is telling you these responses, then maybe you need to cry a little bit and just feel ok about it. There isn't anybody out there actually telling you that you can't do these things. It's in your mind that you'll suffer some consequences if you do. And maybe you will. But ultimately repressed emotions are bad and we can all agree on that. So can we just take one step forward without also taking one back?

Im no fan of of Trump but its a serious issue. It is a serious issue. But its importance compared to about 50 other national and global issues really does make this one seem quite small. Not unimportant, but not as big as many, many others.

Nobody with a working head on their shoulders would let that specific criteria be the basis upon which they choose between these two.

The irony here is that this was undoubtedly created by men. I'm guessing this ad is from the 60's or maybe early 70's - if there were women in the advertising fields then, there weren't many of them.

Hold on a sec. How many times do we see posts/stories/movies/etc. of the worthless, jobless, deadbeat dude being taken care of by a girlfriend with a heart of gold? It's a cliche because it's so common, and guys who aren't in that space bemoan the character of that guy as not being worth her attention. And then this is posted attempting to prove the exact opposite idea.

My intuition is telling me that you’re hanging onto this notion of difference because - If you are lacking some skill, then it’s not an endemic failure of your personality or some personal shortcoming. It’s some external thing that you can get which fills in the gap. However if there really is no special skill, then that means you have nothing external to blame. And it comes back to just you. I’m not trying to be a dick about it. Here’s my practical advice - get out and do a lot of social things…

My whole point is that you're making it a discrete thing and I'm telling you it's not. Meeting women, establishing a rapport, and getting to a point where romantic potential is realized, is not some one-off skill.

Good human communication is not the same as being able to approach women romantically. We're going to have to just disagree on this.

Nobody needs advice on how to be insincere or inauthentic. You're going to end up unhappy one way or another if you depend on that to get what you want, no matter what it is. So if you found a PUA who helped you be more comfortable with yourself and how to communicate and connect authentically and on even terms with a woman, that would be ideal. But IMO that's just good human communication. I sympathize with young men especially right now. The world is loaded with conflicting opinions and is inc…

The first part of this reads like a partial borrowing from the book King Warrior Magician Lover. I'm not finished with it yet, but it explains a developed/mature and undeveloped/immature version of each which is helpful in identifying behavior and aspiring to something more.

Because I honestly feel like people being upset by blatant unchallenged misandry is reasonable. There are a couple ways one can react - blame outward and hate the external, and stay focused on that, or turn inward and accept (or ignore) what's going on and just ask how can you better yourself and those you know. Not every post and reply is the former, but it predominantly is. There's a grain of truth to the notion of "man up", and it's contained in the serenity prayer: God, grant me the serenity…

Misandrists within the movement being given power and influence has actively harmed men and will continue to do so if left unchecked. Exactly what "checking" do you think is happening here? Simply pointing out misandry/misandrists is like saying the sky is blue. Yeah...so? Do you really think that these examples are news to anyone? Add new, relevant items to a sticky post on that subject if you want to keep a tally. Otherwise just.let.it.go. At the end of the day, about 80% of what is posted her…

The place would be 95% better if you’d just enforce the goddamn sub rules. Edit - sorry I assumed you were one of the mods.

I sent a pleading message to the mods to either step up and force adherence to the sub rules, or make me a mod so I can do it. It was ignored by them all. It's clear they DGAF at best, or support at worst, this type of behavior. (Despite the sub rules...) I ended up unsubscribing.

sigh Ok. So we're supposed to assume that girls get pushed into STEM, make it all the way through school, through college, hit the workforce, and by then they will still be less qualified than their male counterparts? You're worrying about shit that will hit 10+ years from now. Sorry can't really get on board with that too much, since people can still choose to do what they want, and those who are unsuited or unqualified generally find themselves looking for alternative jobs.

Um...This has exactly what to do with men / mens rights? See rule #1 on the side bar. Seriously stop complaining. We have enough of our own shit to worry about without concerning ourselves with what women are or aren't focusing on.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/04/20 09:20 PM

I disagree completely. As we reckon now and in the future with both male and female issues, the advocates for each side need to be aware and vigilant. It's going to be a LONG time before there is no such thing - if ever.

Dude really? Like you can’t think of one thing that feminism has done that’s a net positive to the world through the enablement of women? Google it. Feminism, when it comes to women’s equality has done a LOT of good things. Just so we’re all clear - I would prefer the term feminism to stay solely on women’s rights and causes. We have our own and I don’t want that term diluting or distorting that, nor should woman want it either.

Dude - can we make this more of a pro-men sub without the tearing down of anything/anyone? I just joined because I thought this sub might be above the hate/ridicule/etc. garbage that other subs seem to thrive on. I don't care what drama is happening in other subs. At all.

Yeah she was incredibly loathsome as a candidate - so much so that Trump was preferred by so many. Someone with his baggage and zero political experience. I even voted for her but only because I was afraid of what the alternative would be...and it's been much worse to boot. Anyhow... 2016 was a total shitshow.
/r/MensRights23/08/18 06:43 PM

Shitty flamebait title. Yes, they really believe that No, the blogger and some of her posters believe that. Not every feminist on the planet. Stop with the radical feminist hate, and focus on men's issues. (The blogger identifiers herself as radfem) Oh wait, that's right. This is r/mensrights.
/r/MensRights18/03/18 05:26 PM

If what you’re saying is true, then it has nothing to do with men’s rights, and thus doesn’t belong on this sub.

We have a word already. Egalitarianism.
/r/MensRights05/02/18 04:17 PM

Nonsense. Correlation != causation. I am a very liberal MRA supporting egalitarian. If you really believe this, then you should write an essay and supply an argument as to why this is the case, and provide proof of causation. And why we should throw the baby out with the bath water.

Great post. Would love to see more content like this and less of the cherry picked social media junk that drives division between men and women.

It just hit me that maybe we're arguing different points. If feminists want to say the right to vote is STILL an issue, then hey have at it. That's a pretty stupid thing for them to argue unless they're trying to make a point that it should've happened earlier. Regardless it's kind of moot. We need to be looking at now and at the future more than why something wasn't fixed earlier than it was. IMHO.
/r/MensRights11/12/17 09:32 PM
1

No, because the right to vote was a victory, and is no longer an issue. Men are still in trenches fighting in wars. Just use: Vietnam, where men were drafted and died by the thousands. Iraq / Afghanistan where men were sent to die for spurious reasons. But hey, if you want to use trench warfare as some kind of point in arguing things with feminists, knock yourself out. I just think that there are far, far more contemporary examples which will be more impactful to your point.
/r/MensRights11/12/17 09:29 PM
1

You could just as easily have said Vietnam or Afghanistan. At some point you'll lose your target audience by referencing something that feels almost victorian in its antiquity.
/r/MensRights11/12/17 09:04 PM
1

I don’t disagree but we can’t throw out 100-year old examples for stuff like this.
/r/MensRights11/12/17 07:33 PM
2

I hear and fully understand your point. But if you're going to call it feminism, then it ought to be about its namesake (the feminine), not be all-inclusive. As I said, we have a word for that already.

I honestly wonder if this isn't one of the non-political areas where Russian meddling is being done as part of that whole "disrupt society" plan. You can only get so much mileage out of politics...but you can extend your audience by making it about feminism and mens rights, and creating more division there.
/r/MensRights13/11/17 06:12 PM

I believe that the only thing wrong with it is its consistency. Core feminism espouses equality among everyone. But a lot of more extreme feminists (like the feminist-hating people here) seem to feel that that shouldn't include men, thus diluting the meaning. That, and the term feminism is by its nature sexist. We already have a term for equality: egalitarianism.

Did you guys even read the article Of course not. This is r/mensrights - where hating women is du jour and facts/circumstances don't really matter. Another shitpost here in a long, long string of shitposts.

The point is to stop the circle of escalation. To stop it, you have to actually stop escalating yourself. Step back, be calm, collected, and stick to understanding their problems and explaining ours. Not pointing fingers and criticizing. That's how we got to where we are politically, etc.
/r/MensRights30/10/17 09:18 PM

Nonsense. That idea just leads to escalation, which creates a further divide. An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.

We're not all like this. I posted a similar comment.
/r/MensRights03/06/17 02:31 AM

This post and most of these comments are a cancer to this sub. Women, even feminists, aren't our enemies; the system is the problem. And yes I know that this clip is gross misrepresentation. But saying: "feminist cancer" Fortunately, the world's meltiest snowflakes can always marry-up and spread some of that burden onto their oppressors. shill out 120 grand for a PhD in 18th century lesbian poetry.
