Fair. I'm referring to the spiritual aspect of it.

I tell them exactly what I make and how little it is. My "worth" is not derived from how much money I do or don't make nor how much they are attracted to me. I'm at peace with or without the money or the girl. #spiritworld. When I'm 90 none of this shit is gonna matter.

threatens with suicide > attempted to swallow pills before > threatened to hurt herself OK...not normal and in most circles this is referred to as "bat shit crazy" or more gently put...a hurting soul. Good job getting out. You are not her solution. Go be awesome and "awesome" will be attracted to you.

Time is the only real currency. All man made currencies are illusions resulting in delusions (power/control). Time is the only thing you have and it too is limited in this physical state we find ourselves in. We may as well experience as much "awesome" as we can while we're here.

I can only speak from my experience... My journey involved the following AHA! moments... I discovered after looking closely and talking with some wise men that my need to be in control, to feel safe, to be wanted, liked, noticed, appreciated, to be physically secure (AKA - my natural human instincts, were all in super high demand. I DEMANDED these things from others. Not verbally, but often unconsciously and through my actions. I was the funny, handsome, smart guy...clever and quick and totally …

Loneliness is a lie. It is caused by a thought. It's all in your mind. It is a thought followed by a feeling . Definition of Loneliness: sadness because one has no friends or company. It sounds like you experience a feeling of sadness knowing you lack "company" for the night. i.e. "It really sets in about the moment I walk in my house after work and realize (have a thought) that I'm going to be here, all alone (besides the occasional text) until my ass wakes up for work the next day." You are le…

Your biggest strength lies in your ability to be vulnerable. Knowing yourself and your past, failures, strengths, weaknesses, fears etc....this is your greatest asset. The asset can be used or revealed to others you come to trust, be them women or men etc. Everyone is vulnerable. Those who know themselves rest calmly in their vulnerability and are not "afraid of being found out" in any way whatsoever. They are "free from themselves" and the ego has little sway over their stance. Supreme frame ho…

"Iron John". The book. Read it. Cut the emotional ties from all women in your life. By that I mean, cut all dependencies on women. You no longer need validation nor agreement from them. You are a man. You decide your direction in the world... period. Even your father. Cut emotional dependencies. Turn the tables and instead, love him more and be there to help HIM. YOU are the force now. YOU decide what happens. Be still and quiet and realize that YOU decide what your life looks like. No one else.…

I agree that the GIGO principle (Garbage In Garbage Out) is at work here on some level. IF we are talking about the physical plane/material world, then yes...IF however we begin to look at consciousness and the non-material plane then WHO WE ARE begins to take on new meaning. The language of the conversation changes and WHO WE ARE may become WHO WE MANIFEST AS or "how we show up" in the material world...the "us" that people experience in their daily reality. We have control over the physical bod…

"your emotional state will strongly be determined by the people that surround you." Perhaps there is another way to approach this understanding... Your emotional state is 100% under your control regardless of external input. Once you have control of your mind, instead of the other way around, the thoughts that would normally invoke an emotional disturbance no longer have power to move you out of frame. Get control of your thoughts and the resultant emotions will subside. Then you can simply "be"…

Human beings discovered this thousands of years ago. All of the spiritual teachers have been saying the same things FOREVER. Much of what we've been taught as Men in Western culture goes against this understanding. We're taught in order "to be" somebody you have to "achieve" and "do" A,B, and C. Our society is built on "rules" instead of "principles". One attempts to follow rules by DOING. One lives by principles by BEING. The behavior arises from the state of being. eg. the "doing" arises from …

meditation does wonders to your mind. Meditation allows you to separate FROM your mind. You ARE NOT your mind. Meditation, the practice of silent listening increases this awareness. YOU are simply consciousness. Pure. Clean. Incredible. YOU are the silence, not the mind. The mind is a tool to be used however often we are used by the mind (IE. We react) There is first a thought, then an emotion, then a reaction. Quiet the mind/thought and the emotion cannot be born. My teacher suggested I start b…

Anger is an energy that is actually emanated and can be felt by others within our vicinity both on a conscious and unconscious level. The question I had to ask was,"What am I really, honestly angry about?" Know and understand this.......Fear is the root of all anger. When I feel myself getting angry, I ask myself: "What am I afraid of?" - This can be an idea, person, institution, a fucking bear, anything...whatever it is, identify it and then ask... "What is being threatened?" - This can be your…

"...but it's not very useful in getting ahead in life." It's not about "getting ahead". if you think that, then you've missed the plot. Being in the now allows you to see things for what they are, and yes see the past for what it was and make a clear headed decision. We need to use the past and the future in order to make smart decisions You're describing the process of "discernment" during which we take in all the information we have from the past and filter it through our "gut". Meditating on …

The Power of Now - Ekhart Tolle "The mind is a superb instrument if used rightly. Used wrongly, however, it becomes very destructive. To put it more accurately, it is not so much that you use your mind wrongly—you usually don't use it at all. It uses you." "Emotion arises at the place where mind and body meet. It is the body's reaction to your mind — or you might say, a reflection of your mind in the body" "The psychological condition of fear is divorced from any concrete and true immediate dang…

After making this a practice and experiencing #4, you will realize you are not your mind. You are the "Spirit" beneath observing the mind.

"I will try and be in a 'flow state'." This is the goal. This is "what is". From this, all of the other "ways of being" that you write about emerge. It is knowledge of the Flow and an awareness of it that invokes the spirit and results in every other action you mention. GREAT POST...thanks for the reminders!

The pain you speak of, from my experience is caused by NOT being awake to the fact that we literally exist inside the Matrix. We have to first wake up and become AWARE. I had to stop talking/speaking and take the position of the observer...like Neo after he took the Red Pill experienced walking around while Morpheus explained what the Matrix was and is. A shift in consciousness is necessary. Without this shift, we try to "manage" things inside the Matrix and are not aware that we are still IN IT…

Many of the ideas found in religion seem to have ended up being pretty spot on. The PRINCIPLES contained in religion are spot on. Why? Because they apply to all human beings and our SPIRIT. Everything else that manifest in the world within religion is an attempt to convey the teachings of these PRINCIPLES. This is why we, as men, must lead PRINCIPLED LIVES and in doing so, we immediately find ourselves in the Red Pill realm of existence. I'm not a Christian but in reading the some of the spiritu…

Be IN the world, not OF it. YOU create your experience. YOU choose what to BE, and BE that. BE the guy who works out and takes care of his body, BE the guy who follows his heart and attends to his business...HIS business, not others business. BE the guy that handles his shit and keeps his affairs in order (pays his bills on time, remain clean and healthy, honest, trustworthy, respected, helpful etc. etc.). BE the guy who, in BEING awesome, makes others feel accepted, loved, cherished, strong etc…
