Yeah this is kinda weird. It's not like women everywhere just decided fuck those guys in particular, no sex for them. It's simply a lack of attraction on the part of individuals.

you aren't alone, and a lot of people forget that they don't have to be team red or blue. I'm AFAB non-binary lesbian(?). left on most social issues but there are a few beliefs I hold that most liberals and lefties would scoff at. I'm feminist and also support men's rights, so maybe just egalitarian? I don't really like identity politics as a means to shut down discourse, etc etc. I typically just look up all the candidates on the docket for an election, look them up and their voting/action hist…

Where are you hearing this? Rad fems on campus or tuckers opinion pieces? Maybe you have a toxic circle of friends? No one I talk to irl thinks like this

Maybe toxic femininity ones, but not all. I'm a feminist, and def dont believe that. Or maybe thats just what you've been led to believe all feminists think because of a couple sexist women being very vocal.

men are all power hungry Its not "men" in general but the red pill ideology. Sure some men are there to just get dates. But its all done through manipulating, spinning plate playing games. Making sure you're in the driver's seat at all times or the girl gets ditched. If you actually care about someone and make consessions or compromises, you've got oneitis or lost frame. None of that is how an equal partnership works.

I was going to make a point about grifters too. People are willing to pay big bucks to hear exactly what they want to from a lot of different sources. A self created argumentum ad populum fallacy.

I had a friend tell me that he thought toxic masculinity meant that masculinity is toxic. Like all the traits historically associated with men were toxic. Weird part is that this was a pretty intelligent and nice average dude. It seems like the PR around this idea could use some help.

Hey man, sorry you are going through all this. I'm a gay lady, so i can relate to not being interested in the things people think you should and also being fetishized. And like the lgbt community, you should totally be proud! There a reason why we celebrate pride every year, when you are different sometimes it takes a conscious effort to celebrate who you are and find an accepting community. My advice would be to try to engage in your hobbies in a way that helps you meet people. That's going to …

I guess i could be wrong, but i think a big part of the loneliness epidemic is because of how we condition men to show affection. A lot of men only get physical affection from an SO, or maybe parents when younger. We need to build back into strong male communitites dismantled by feminism and the move towards secularism. And i say this as an athiest lesbian woman. We cant just tear down these emotional support systems without replacing them with a healthy alternative.

Two thoughts that helped me get over these fears with my LTR. 1) life is a buffet. Shes had the sample some other goods, and YOU are the one she latched onto. That's a pretty huge compliment. You must really stick out from the pack to her and she must be quite attracted to you. 2) once again, she's had the opportunity to try a lot of stuff already before you were in the picture. Way less of a chance she'll feel the need to break it off a few years in because she has a natural drive to see whats …

Even if you are trying to sympathize through a red pill lens, the logic doesn't hold. If women truly have their own mating strategy, that metric has absolutely no value to them. You're trying to look at a ugly apple and ugly orange and decide who has it worse. Either way I kinda feel bad for you and anyone with that mindset because no one's value should be determined by who they sleep with.

Maybe, but if it has little to no impact on your life why waste your breath calling names or your time thinking about it. Do you really have nothing more important to think about? If not, I'd start with changing that, if you really are here looking for advice on how to stop these negative thoughts.

I could see that. I mean, what I do in the bedroom is about fun and connection to my partner. I don't really see why that would have anything to do with politics.

I'd highly suggest you take phixlet's advice. There's a wealth of women's literature, many of which are considered classics. Joke or not, the fact that 50 shades of grey was the first thing on your mind is quite illuminating. I'm not sure what kind of novels you enjoy, but you should check out Virginia Woolf and Toni Morrison at least. Maybe throw in some Bronte sisters.

So it seems like you are pretty upset about all this, but I would further encourage you not to lump together all men with a minority of broken men stuck in an echo chamber. It seems like you are on your path there. I find it helpful to remember that a lot of these "red pill men" are in reality boys trying to do what they think real men do, or very hurt men lashing out at the world in a way they think gives them power and control. More sexism isn't going to help cure sexism.

Well of course they will beat us at anything in straight numbers. Im not sure why you would compare populations that way. Not very useful for understanding differences. I could just as easily say don't let numbers fool you. Edit: I woke up grouchy and responded quickly. I think you've got me on two points. One, lesbians aren't the highest, they are second behind bisexuals. Two, i should have used the term ratio to explain my intended meaning instead of rate.

No argument there. I think you may be hearing that all men are women beaters, but i doubt that is what people are actually saying. Like toxic masculinity, that doesn't mean men/ masculinity are toxic, just those behaviors. It sounds like you've been victim to some toxic femininity. Not all women are like that, but you may have been unlucky. I used to think all women were catty and shallow too, i got bullied by other females growing up, and only really had guy friends. It may be easier for them to get away with it. But the opportunity to be an abuser is the same regardless of gender. It's like big dogs vs small dogs. A lot of people don't train their small dogs properly because it's less intrusive when they act poorly. So can they beg and jump and bark, and it's seen as non threatening. Now small dogs can have a pretty bad rep. Whenever new people come over to my place they are so surprised at how chill and nice my chihuahua is, because I trained her properly.…

Any of the positives that red pill reaches can be learned from any number of sources (taking care if yourself, independence, confidence). All the negatives make it toxic, and sexist. A lot of people talk about how it's sexist towards women, but we actually can see a lot of the negative results of sexism on men there. They feel worthless, expendable, inferior to "alphas", and that their sexuality is inherently less valuable than women's. While they often see it as brutal truth, I just see an ideo…

Most relationships end. This can be an odds game for women too. Be cautiously optimistic but don't be afraid to walk away at red flags. Abundance mentality is a good thing for women too. Everything has a season, so enjoy what you have while you have it. When it isn't adding to your life, walk away. I'm a woman in a very ltr. I've been through very rough times, but good has always out weighed bad.

I see what you are saying, and it's true to a point. But it's going ti be hard to keep a non toxic "girl" around if you yourself are toxic. Other than hurting people, it's great to accept yourself and aspire to be better, simultaneously.

I only started having flashbacks and having emotional responses to my childhood abuse in my late 20's / early 30's. Though the anxiety, insecurity, rage and inability to trust others showed up much earlier. Late teens probably.

Some girls will do that, especially if just casually dating. Nothing wrong with that. Other girls don't get the same satisfaction from casual sex. Some guys don't get satisfaction from casual sex, even though we've all been told that's all guys really want. That's the situation you're in right? Some people enjoy a lot of casual sex and then realize that's not cutting it for them emotionally anymore, some don't. We've both supported each other through some very difficult times. It hasn't been all good, in fact it's been bad at times. But it's good at least 90% of the time. You/ your situation reminds me a lot of myself in my mid twenties. My partner had health and stress issues which was really hard on it physical intimacy. This left me feeling mostly on my own to figure out how to lead in my relationship. I am however a lesbian, so when i found mrp, i was able to wade through the misogyny and find the gold. Dating sucks for both genders. A large number of guys will ditch a girl if they find someone more attractive. The dating culture we have right now is kind of set up for it. When you are meeting strangers and exchanging generic banter, often it's only looks and charms that build into attraction(initially). All of my most successful relationships have been with people who were friends first.

Makes a lot of sense. I had an abusive mother and absent father. It's also pretty hard to believe in and have normal bonds as a young adult if your role models don't set healthy examples. I was lucky enough to find healthy friendships/ relationships in my early twenties that helped me learn these skills and lessons.

Maybe. Some girls want to be gamed, some girls want deeper relationships. If you game women you will only keep around those that want it. Almost all of my serious relationships started as friendships. Those were also my most successful. I personally think thats because you have a real deep connection and compatibility that isn't based on attraction, so when attraction blossoms it just takes things to the next level.

Ok, so yes for example I accept that I enjoy video games, computers and playing guitar. I'm also a softy(cry all the time, I hate it), have a short temper and go through the occasional existential crisis. To "better" myself, I studied for years to get a degree in computer sciences, write music in my downtime, and spent a lot of time accepting that I just get my feelings hurt sometime and learning how to deal with it appropriately instead of getting angry. Ah gotcha. I don't think I've been on that sub before, but if it's similar towards women (or worse) as mrp or trp i see where you are coming from. In my experience, belittling and arguments tend to be ineffective ways to get a point across to someone. I think the best thing we can do here in this sub is not shame them, but be here ready to support them when they are ready to move on to the next, hopefully more positive portion of their personal journey.

You've got circular logic to try to make it an unfalsifiable claim. The problem with this is that only one example proves a tautology false, and I've met many. You attract bad people with a bad attitude. It's like that saying, if it smells like shit everywhere you go, check your shoe.

I'm a lesbian and was stuck in a pretty useless cycle of depression which was having a huge impact on my ltr. I originally heard it was a place to help you be more attractive to women so I thought I'd try it out, mostly sticking to married red pill. I'm really not trying to be glib, but you were only a month into this dude. It's still the phase of trying to figure out if a LTR is going to work out. If you enjoyed your time with her, break up aside, then it sounds like this was a positive experience. Typically you want to see someone self sustaining, or able to do it. I'm a lesbian so my perspective may be a bit off. I look for equal partnership. If you are able to make a living and support yourself that's a big plus, but humans aren't naturally independent, so even just seeing that you add to the household that you are a part of is important. Jw, how old are you? You have friends, have you asked then for insight or help? It's hard to know where you might be going wrong as a stranger. Then again what's "wrong" for one person might be awesome for another. Agree on almost everything. You should both be the prize in a good relationship. If you aren't with someone you consider a prize, why waste your time and energy. Finding that with an abundance mentality means you can enjoy what you have and not be paralyzed with fear of losing it.

You probably want to reach out to a counselor or therapist. You definitely have to have enough strength in yourself so that if you are rejected when vulnerable, you will be ok. That's part of the reason people say you need to live yourself before you can love anyone else properly. OP needs to get his head on straight before trying to date other people.

You can box up either gender if you try. I could say all men just want an early twenties, attractive woman that they can enjoy then will dump her when she hits the wall. This is supported by such and such science that showed men are more attracted to younger women. Why should women build a life with a man? But everyday we see older couples that have something that works for them. Find a woman that is your equal. Don't try to provide for her, she has her own income. Try not to be alpha or beta, t…

If you live in Africa, i can't speak to their social norms. In my 20s though, i didn't really notice women being more mature. At most they had different hobbies. They would go out with friends, watch tv, shopping and some layered video games. Personally i think men just play more video games on average and video games are percieved af immature for some reason. I disagree with that argument as a 31 year old woman who games.

I approach relationships totally differently as a 30 year old than i did as a 20 year old. I know now that physical attraction is a dime a dozen. Remember that at this point in your life both you and your partners are still learning what they actually want. A bit of personal advice, stop focusing so much on the future in your relationships. From my experience, anyone can be an emotional tampon for anyone, regardless of gender and attraction. I have friends that do this and it can be draining after a while. My fiance's sister used to do this to her. My fiance will also do this to me sometimes if she is going through a rough time and I'm happy to support her, but venting isn't the basis for our relationship. If the relationship is one sided you can try to work on that or separate yourself.

So to me this totally adds up. These are conservative towns, in a low income area. Women have more traditional values expecting men to make more, and they probably can't afford to have a partner that makes less with generally low wages.

For me it was the fact that until very recently, men were the main protagonists in most media. Women were eye candy, there to be saved or desired. Everyone is their own protagonist so as a young girl I had made up my mind that I wanted to be a man when I grew up. They were always doing the coolest stuff. Grew up in the 80/90s. I greet what you are saying, and maybe it's a good step for some guys that pedestal ize to the extreme. Calling women children swings to far the other way. It would be more beneficial (and it is perhaps the actual goal) to focus on what men need to do to better their situation instead of waiting on the woman to be responsible for it. That is TRPs best quality imo, helping men take ownership of their lives. You don't have to, and shouldn't be dismissive of other people in order to do that.

I'd disagree there. It's pretty much expected among women that men won't know what to do, and you have to teach them what works for you, since all women are different. The only evidence I have though is through my own experiences and conversations.

The same was said about every other cultural and civil rights movement. Gotta work for it.

Usually the most vocal people of any group are the idiots. Edit : also isn't that the same thing OP is complaining about? No one likes their own gender roles but wants the other gender to adhere to theirs I guess.

We need a culture change around those things.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/17 08:57 PM

True, there is a lot of negative attention, but if you keep fighting for these things people will see that things need to change. Every civil rights movement was met with great hostility in its infancy.

Men often are vocal about their problems when it comes to policy, you see this in activism all the time. Men and women have different issues, and in the relationship abuse and inequality sphere men have started being much more vocal and it has gotten them the attention that these issues deserved.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/17 07:11 PM

This is silly, I know both men and women who play the victim.

I love this insight. I agree with and support the self help aspects of TRP. The only thing I really dislike about the ideology or whatever you want to call it is the misogyny that many of the members perpetuate as a means of building themselves up.

Maybe it's a glimpse into male psyche. They dream of disembodied genitals.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/17 02:25 PM

High value women perform for men too. They usually have very time consuming hygiene and preparation rituals, as well as staying in shape and working on their inner selves. Both genders work to get attract the highest value mate they can. If they don't they usually end up being unattractive people.

Sure, I don't ever expect myself to be the same as a man, anymore than I expect myself to be the same as any person. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses that biology has given them. That doesn't mean I don't consider them my equal or vice versa.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/17 11:54 PM
1

That's a good question. I'm an advocate for both gender rights, but I'm not quite sure what it looks like in practice. Personally I believe that most of these things should be cultural shifts and not controlled by policy. Some things do need to change though, such as parental rights and affirmative action.

I don't even feel like trp and feminism are opposites. terpers are a product of feminism, males learning how to be successful in a world where female sexuality has been liberated. If the animosity could be dropped between the extremists of the two groups (unlikely), they could work in tandem. The goals of both groups are similar for their respective genders.

Thank you for this comment! Most of TRP likes to pretend that human evolution started post agricultural revolution, which is around when it's hypothesized that we figured out how paternity actually works (thanks to domestication of animals) .

I'm not offended by your opinion. I come here to get other peoples perspective, check it against mine and see if there are good merits to their arguments (usually from peer reviewed studies or historical examples). Every now and then I get a nugget of really cool insight from TRP that helps me fill in gaps in my own perspective and see things more holistically. I've also learned that arguing for my perspective of feminism is pretty worthless here, even though I see men's rights as just as import…

My personal experience is that most of the military people I know joined up for the opportunities that the military could provide them, whether it was a steady job, college tuition or adventure. My other friends did it because they had a group of friends or family that idolized serving their country in the form of military service. I'm pretty sure the same could be said for women in the military. Society puts a lot more pressure on males to be protectors, which i personally think has more to do …

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christina_Hoff_Sommers comes to mind, not for the day(edit: draft) issue but as an advocate for being mindful of men's rights in feminism. Still, feminism is much like a religion, with different beliefs in different sects. There are also different waves of feminism,so to speak for all of them would be folly. That's why I said the feminists I know and read and pay attention to.

yeah, I think you are probably right there. I don't see it being an issue that they would champion. I would totally be on board if mens advocates got on that. In most of the reading I've done the people that are for gender neutral draft would really prefer the draft be discontinued and I honestly would find myself more for the latter as well.

Maybe in a technical sense, but I've definitely seen it argued multiple times that women are inferior and should not have voting rights, work, make decisions or be considered equal to men.

This is silly. Go read the getmotivated or loseit subs. All the same take responsibility and change message without the homophobia and misogyny. No one is trying to keep you down. Oh yeah, you definitely keep finding things out about each other, and also growing as people so there is new stuff going on. I don't expect to have someone totally figured out before dating them, but its hard to get butterflies about someone when I don't even know what kind of values they have or if they consistently treat other humans well. I guess that seems like energy and time spent wastefully.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/17 02:22 PM
2

I've pretty much only ever dated friends. I realize that I am not in the majority (as far as I know) but I find it hard to be attracted to someone I don't know well. I'm far more attracted to someone's personality, and that is the kind of attraction I want my partner to have for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/17 02:10 PM
2

They don't have to become a dick though. There are ways to talk to women and not be, that happens a lot. I'm not in the search for a life partner anymore, but for that yeah I would need to be pretty unique. Not sure why that makes me pretentious, most people are picky when looking for a partner, and if someone were considering me I'd hope that there were actual reasons why they choose me instead of others, for compatibility sake.

You think having a ton of women hitting on you merely because you are stick to sit on would make you feel sexy? What if you know that objectively you are not? If women were wired to want sex first and be interested in you second, would it actually matter that a woman wanted sex from you? My personal experience is no. I've seen it a bit on ESO, but I actually play a lot of shooters and I think that affects the type of gamers I come in contact with. This has been much better since building a community of gamers that I can pay with regularly instead of a bunch of randos.

This used to be a fear of mine, I was admittedly pretty insecure and saw this rejection as a sign that there was something wrong with me instead of an incompatibility. "He was just interested in sex " imo is they female equivalent of "she was crazy", its a easy way to pass off blame to the other person as a means of protecting a fragile self image. Edit add: This is also why I stopped trying to "act my best" when dating and just be myself. It wastes my time and the other person if I put on a sho…

There are a lot of guys that are totally nice, and if you are one of those my bad, because you all don't get enough credit. Having different guys on multiple occasions track you down on the internet and tell you they'll violently rape you is enough to make anyone wary I'd think. I'd agree with this. As a female gamer I get a ton of attention from guys, but none of it has to do with how attractive I am. I become literally a hole in their mind and that is not an ego boost for me at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/17 07:57 AM
2

That's not what I was saying at all, I don't believe in souls. I was trying to say that all the guys are fit, symmetrical, not making weird faces. When the women were voted on they picked some random obviously unattractive women, who got the same numbers as some of these men. I was trying to say that any data they collect is going to be inaccurate because of the extremely different samples that were picked.

I meant the comparison between the two posts. I agree that the smv should be higher for all healthy adults. Overweight women receiving a 3/4 rating and any of these men receiving a 3/4 rating is quite ridiculous, but that's what I've seen when comparing the posts .
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/17 03:56 PM

That's understandable. The two being posted so closely could be used as anecdotal "evidence" that women's smv only goes down when overweight however.

Am I the only person that thinks all of these men are attractive in their own way? Yet with the women we got overweight and unflattering pics.

No idea who it would be with. I heard that Disney nixed the novels from canon, so I'm not sure what hints you would get there. I thought the similarities were pointing at that with all three of them starting off on dessert planets, "lowly" or boring stations in life, natural pilots. I could def be wrong, but I thought that's what the movie was hinting at. Also, I think Luke sends a message for R2 to turn on so they can find him, but he looks disappointed and sad to see Rey.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/16 06:38 AM

I think she could have that potential out natural ability of she is in the family line, probably Luke's daughter. She took out storm troopers easily at the beginning of the movie(with the staff), so she probably had some martial arts training. Being on her own, she'd need it.

I feel like this is why a lot of women don't approach, they don't want to be "sluts". The idea that good woman shouldn't approach is so weird to me.

I don't usually comment, but I know those kind of posts do tend to get under my skin. I'm pretty sure it's because my mom was a single parent until I was six when she met the man who became my dad. Relationships aren't one size fits all, otherwise everyone's relationship would look the same and be interchangeable. She probably just recognizes that they see the world and inter gender relationships differently than her, and would prefer someone with similar values.

That whole point is foreign to me, as a lesbian. I guess my life will be an experiment if sorts, but right now living totally outside human sexual norms is working for me.

It's not the majority of society though. Most rational people realize that there is no attraction there because being obese is unhealthy. Or biologically speaking, men are attracted to slim waists because it indicates the woman is not already pregnant and a viable mating partner. I say this as an overweight woman, but my point is that the majority of society isn't hard left or right or blinded by Internet circle jerks.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/16 01:58 PM

The biggest thing trp sells is confidence, at least from my understanding. I feel like that's covered in the be yourself mantra, but it just seems like they switched from trying to please one group of others to another. Maybe that way works better because it attracts a certain type of woman. Maybe i just don't understand how it leaves you unprepared. By being my true self I've found a partner that naturally complements me. I do so have to work on being the best version of myself daily.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/16 12:53 PM

That could be, like how it is currently believed that the glass ceiling is because of discrimination when maybe the just aren't enough women that want it. A lot of that stuff needs to be slow cultural shifts unless there is a specific documented case of discrimination. Same with men though, I've heard of men being turned away from childcare positions because it's perceived as possible creepy.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/16 12:42 PM

I'm not sure why that is though. I feel like it makes it stronger. Then literally everyone has a reason to fight gender discrimination.

It's almost as I'd is best to let people live the way they choose to suit their personality or something. Stereotypes do exist for a reason, but that doesn't mean every woman wants the same thing. Freedom is in possibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/16 11:50 PM

Its so frustrating to me that other feminists take this stance. As a woman and feminist, i think sexism hurts everyone, putting people in boxes like racism. Anyone denying mysandry is helping to continue mysogyny.

Maybe. I'm not sure we know all they have to offer yet. You're right there are dangers that come with them. I think shunning them might cause more harm and division in the long run. Migrants escaping to a new culture also need to recognize the success and safety of that culture in comparison to their own and assimilate to a functional level. I can say that I better understand the willingness to play world police in the past. If we'd settled the issue in Syria before it got this bad, we would hav…

/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/15 08:58 AM

Well the immigrants crisis is because there was an international treaty created in 1951 and extended in 1967 where most countries in the world promised to accept refugees. This decided was back in what most consider the golden age of US and men still had considerable power over politics. Any female leaders in Europe today are bound by international law.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/15 08:42 AM

I think they can be equal. There are female athletes that have to be more competitive than a great many males because of the level of commitment they put into their sport. Add a whole? I'm not sure. We are a product of our environments. I think boss are encouraged from a young age to be more competitive while this is potentially discouraged fire girls. Similar to being "bossy".
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/15 08:25 AM

Not sure. I'm gay, and I had to make the first move about half the time (odds!). Idk how that factors into the theory. Gender roles are pretty lax in my type of relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/15 08:19 AM
4

Hmm, not sure I'd personally like that solution. Not being able to influence politics equally seems pretty unconstitutional. Over half of the world's population should get represented appropriately. However, I understand your point about males having more skin in the game. I think females being drafted is more than fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/15 08:14 AM
