negative effects of that have resulted from differences. Yeah. Because the "negative effects" have largely befallen women. there are other theories thay look at the benefits of how different structures hold society together. Yeah? Where are these theories? Do they come from academia, or is it just some horseshit dummies on the internet tell each other? I'm certain it's the latter. But maybe I'm wrong. Point me to one of these (totally serious, I'm sure) theorists. campus rape hysteria How did I …

Unfortunately feminism doesn't ask enough questions as to why those inequalities existed Of course it does! Read up on "intersectionality." Your whole post is like, "yeah, sure, all of this has been addressed for years and years." No, they should just acknowledge all the reasons behind why it happened Again, dude, this is not a critique of feminism. It's only evidence of how little you know about the topic you're discussing.

Where does she (or anyone) describe themselves as "feminist morality police"? How does the policing happen? How do these people wield their influence?

It turns out that's not the case. Glad you figured it out. Pack it up. Dude got it worked out.

The Red Pill and I don't complain about women. The Red Pill's core ideas (such as they are), based on the sub's own sidebar's recommended reading, are complaints about women. Well, if I did that with feminism, then couldn't I say the same about your ideology? You people do that shit all the time.

youd have to define your terms.

Good examples. Men are arrested more frequently for domestic violence because traditional gender roles suggest women are less capable of violence than men. Feminism seeks and end to these kinds of gender role definitions and the resulting legal problems that come from them. Child custody laws are based only on the well being of the child, so circumstances like being "tricked" don't really play into those kinds of decisions. It's not relevant.

First off, no they weren't. Gore and Whitehouse had literally nothing to do with "geeks/gamers" at all. The last thing Whitehouse ever did was in like 1984. Also: None of these three people are at all "feminist." I want to know who the current "self-described feminist morality police" are. They're clearly very influential, and yet no one knows their names or can describe any of their policing. But they're pretty powerful people, I understand.

So Tipper Gore and Jack Thompson are part of the feminist morality police?

self declared feminist morality police attempting to infiltrate the freedom of expression and artistic work. Are you sure you mean "self-declared?" Because I haven't seen any evidence of this group, nor hear of anyone declaring themselves anything like that. Also: I've heard a lot about these feminists who are "infiltrating free expression" but haven't seen any evidence that they actually exist at all. I have seen some people analyzing video games from a feminist perspective. Is that what you're…

You getting hysterical because you can't put things into proper context doesn't require anyone else to do anything. A lone mentally unbalanced woman wrote a satirical manifesto 45 years ago that was never widely known or widely read, and nearly half a century later, a few people post a hashtag that's clearly a joke, and somehow that adds up to "Death squads?" No offense if it's somehow a product of autism, but this is a really, really inaccurate worldview.

As far as I can see the only real assumption I am making is that most guys would prefer twice a week sex, maybe a little more. If you make that assumption, the rest just kinda falls out of the figures. "I'm not making assumptions! Except the one upon which I base my whole point."
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/15 05:12 PM

It's obviously demonstrably not true, as almost everyone gets married and hardly anyone stays a virgin.

You sure repeated a lot of insults you heard somewhere! You're really nice. Not like those assholes who get all the girls. I’ve seen it said that feminists are in the business of shaming men for their sexual preferences. Much of this is often attributed to the idea that women are attempting to force men to feel bad about who and what they are attracted to in order to make their own lives easier and enable them to secure hot, fit males as mates while not being attractive themselves. However I’m starting to wonder if this is really the case. Of course this isn't the case. Fucking reddit just makes up things that Femin…

You could look up the exact numbers really easily, but it's something like 75 percent of men who get married. Something like 10 percent of men are gay (give or take) and they couldn't get married until recently, so aren't reflected in the numbers. So, ballpark, 85 percent of men get married at least once.

Your interpretation of California's law is totally incorrect. California's "rape-by-deception" law was passed in 2013 specifically to close a legal loophole in CA's rape statutes. The original law was written in 1872, and outlawed impersonating someone's husband in order to have sex with them. The new law says it's illegal to impersonate someone's boyfriend (or girlfriend, or wife, or FWB or any other person) to have sex with them too. Ill-fitting clothing. Some weird gesture toward "style," like a gold chain or a hat, that doesn't fit in with the the rest of the outfit. Understanding and sensitivity are required for good communication. Empathy, ya know? Interestingly, men were out hunting game most of the time, so the actual "managerial" aspects of tribe life -- how to allot food, when to build shelters, how to stay warm-- were left to women, which is why women make such effective civic leaders. Sure, maybe. I'm no Farley Granger, and plenty of women flirt with me.

Yeah, they're not. Children are not fully mature nor able to make as informed decisions as adults. That's why they can't vote or drink wine.

"women in general are more experienced with dating and flirting than men in general." This isn't so at all. 20%. Because the other 80% suck and will continue to suck. These numbers don't mean anything.

Where do you suggest that people look to understand these extremely nebulous dynamics if they aren't good at reading social cues, navigating the subtleties of the sexual marketplace, etc.? There are probably many resources for people to better understand social skills that aren't The Red Pill. I'd pick one of them. There are worskhops in flirting, there are therapists, etc.

I never said everyone was equal. The "end stage" of TRPs "getting better" is "maintain your relationship by manipulating your spouse through borderline emotional abuse." I suggest that if you can't keep a partner interested in you without "dread game" or whatever bullshit, you haven't made yourself better. You've made yourself worse, actually.

But from a pragmatic standpoint, assuming these things will give you the upper hand when the other party is being manipulative. TRP is based on the idea that the "other party" is always being manipulative and can't, not be manipulative. For people who don't naturally have mastery of social dynamics, the cynical and cautious approach is more strategically advantageous. Accepting TRP's interpretation of social interaction seems like the worst strategy possible. Assuming that a woman who is flirtin…

From TRP's sidebar: "At first it may seem like an assault against your good senses to think of adult women as mere children or teenagers. How could they be? They go through life and mature just like men do, don’t they? Once they are thirty or forty, don’t they behave as adults just as thirty or forty year old men do? Actually, there is much evidence to the contrary." In other words, women are not fully human.

dark matter, engineering and social interactions These things are not alike. And you're making my point for me. If people truly don't understand social interactions, The Red Pill is the opposite of where they should look. Because the red pill seems to give strange meanings and significance to many simple social interactions, and since "social interactions" are human-created, and only holds together because we all loosely agree on their meanings, accepting a non-traditional interpretation of them…

Also: When dudes get all weird about flirting, it puts women on edge about it. One guy with expectations after a harmless, friendly interaction, can color someone's worldview about these interactions. "If I'm nice to this guy, am I leading him on in some way? Is he expecting something from me now that we smiled at each other?" This makes a harmless, lighthearted social interaction into something more meaningful and potentially awkward and so discourages women from engaging in this behavior. Men …

Look, when I was 15, I was scared of girls. But I came across this book from the 1970s about "body language." It was full of specific instructions of how to stand, how to hold your arms, when to cross your legs, etc. to make women like you. It was total malarkey, but I didn't know that. Using my newfound body language mastery, I started talking to girls at school more, and found, amazingly, that they sometimes liked talking to me. None of that had anything to do with the dumb book about body lan…

Nah, see, TRP, in practice is like: "Women don't like you because they are bad and they can't help it. So you have to trick them into thinking you're worthwhile as a person. Once you've done this, you must manipulate them to keep them interested in you. You have no moral responsibility to treat women well because women aren't actually able to make choices like people, so all interaction with them is manipulation." The real, hard-to-swallow truth is this: "Women don't like you because you are unl…

First off, you're creating a false dichotomy. There are not two groups. There is one group, The Red Pill, and there is everyone else on earth. The people you're identifying as "The Blue Pill" are almost always people who have an interest in either laughing at or arguing with people in "The Red Pill" group, so of course they don't get along. When the stance of one group is "I believe women are not fully human" and the stance of the other is "Get aloada these morons!" there's not a whole lot of co…

Why not fuck someone for free food? Because flirting with a cashier is the same as prostitution. You people are so weird. Do you really need these basic human interactions explained to you? Are you even from Earth?

I always find this the greatest irony of "The Red Pill:" Your philosophy implies one will have to accept a painful truth about the world. But when you break down what that truth is, it turns out to be: "It's everyone's fault but yours!" Which is the opposite of both pain and truth.

I'm using a phrase to encompass the entire theme of dating advice given to men. You're doing a bad job, then, encompassing this advice. Because no one ever says this and no one means it. But I think that we've been conditioned to think that women are the ones who should be charge of what happens during sex. This has not been my experience with women. most of the stuff men like is considered gross or pervy or objectification Who do you hang out with, housewives from the 1950s? In my experience, i…

But the average advice for men is along the lines of "treat her like a princess, always put her first." Again: I have never heard anyone give this advice to anyone, ever. Basic respect for other people and yourself is pretty universally accepted as the way to get along in the world. men who want sex regularly with their SO are entitled, and if they want anything more than what the girl wants they're entitled pervs Huh? Look, man, I've been in plenty of relationships, and in my experience, when I…

All of your examples of men being oppressed are stuff you made up, or weird over reaction to things you don't seem to understand. Like almost all of reddit's reactionaries, you're basing your opinions on dumb shit hysterical people make up on message boards. It's like reddit's is this collection of scared children huddled around a campfire scaring each other with stories about the evil SJWs and feminists. With each retelling, the monster gets scarier. That was just the only thing I have ever heard of that's close to serious or widely known that is anything like the opposite of "The Red Pill." I'd really like to read material from all the feminists that "promote violence against men," but no one seems able to provide me with this information. I'm told they are the equivalent of "The Red Pill," but where are they?

Again, I hear about these women/groups all the time, but never see any actual examples. Just words like "Radfem" thrown around as if I'm supposed to take your word for it. NOTE: Adding "etc" a lot doesn't convince me there's a lot of this.

I don't understand. If you reverse the genders of RP philosophy, you end up with: "Men are not fully human as they are incapable of reason, honor or love and never mature mentally past the point of being teenagers." I am unaware of any group of women who has adopted the philosophy.

This post specifically asks for women to post stories of times they physically assaulted men. Many of the women do so in the comments, but I don't see anyone "scoffing" or bragging, really. Maybe I'm missing it. Mostly it's stuff like: "I just drunkenly pummeled my boyfriend this weekend for no good reason. (I was really wasted.) I feel so terrible. " There's a lot of people complaining: "I can't believe you are making light of women beating men!" But I don't see anyone actually making light of …

jezebelle feminists and commentators promoting violence against men. etc etc I always here about these women, but never from them. The closest I've ever seen is The S.C.U.M Manifesto, a piece of clear satire written about 40 years ago, that no one would have ever known about if not for the fact that the author tried to kill andy Warhol. So, any examples of this you can cite?
