Except for the past year, I've spent years in the gym and not focusing on girls. I have hoobies (geek hobbies but still hobbies). I have friends and we go out, but girls will always go for them. So as you see, it didn't get me that far and I never had this abundant mentality. Truth is, I don't know what's holding me like that. As time go by, all i think are girls and the more i think about them, the more they intimidate me.

I don't know, I've spent a lot of time in the past trying to improve myself and girls never came as you say, or maybe I'm too bad at recognizing social cues. These days they just keep ignoring me, but there are a lot of things I didn't figure out yet so that's not a surprise for me

Nice mentality. But what to do if you don't have anything going on in your life. If you don't have that "abundant life". Your advice only works for people who have figured out these things. It's not that simple for most people.

I totally agree with you. In fact I'm gonna start lifting weights again. Alongside with nofap and meditation. (I really have an anxiety problem in general)

I'm from Quebec city and there isn't any option for bootcamp. Closest would be Montreal. As for youtube videos I watched a lot of them. But I noticed a negative impact on me by innevitabely comparing myself to these guys and not being able to relate to them. This is self sabotaging. So now I just avoid doing that and I try to rely on my own experiences.

I got back to raiding. Because I realize that gaming isn't the problem. And I meet some incredible people in my guild.

Thx. But how do I gain positive references experiences if all I get are bad ones. That's the reason I slacked on going out. I'm tired of getting my confidence destroyed. Besides, you can't build confidence with girls if you aren't getting laid in the first place. I'm totally lost and I don't know where to start.

Time to time isn't the same thing as not at all. As well as "doing fine" doesn't mean you're happy.

No shit I'm going through depression. All I am saying is that I tried these things in the past and it didn't work. I know you're gonna tell me to try harder but yelling at me just frustrates me even more. By that I mean people telling me to do this and that and I will succeed, even though it didn't. I need to find a different appraoch.

I went to the gym 6 months non stop in 2016. I felt more confident but not with girls. As I said in my OP, I tried to focus on my life outside of girls and sex but it didn't work and girls definitly weren't coming at me. Now I'm back in depression state.

I'm 27 btw. The thing is that I become bitter whenever the feelings of regrets and failure comes in. This doesn't make me attractive at all to the other gender. I'm just a sad guy who doesn't get sex. So I figured I would try to focus on other areas of my life for a while to stop this mindset. Improve my life to build my confidence. But I'm still not feeling well. Is the only way it to keep pushing? Because all I see when I go out are my friends getting laid while I'm not. I keep hitting a wall.…

Being rejected over and over and having my confidence fucked up with isn't making me happy. That's where I'm stuck right now.

It's a though game. Girls will always go for guys who are very social, have their shit together, etc....So it is very hard for guys like us to develop those skills when we start. We get instantly rejected. I tis supposed to become easier as we progress.

Actually the more I look arround and realize that the more I'm furious about it and feeling inadequate. The urges are increasing.

I'm sorry but telling someone who is nervous arround girls to stop overthinking and just be normal and have fun..... is just bad advice. Negative thoughts just comes, you can't stop it in the heat of the moment. Swifting this mindset is a long process, not an action. If it happened to you you should know right? What he needs to do is change his whole lifestyle. Workout (if he isn't already.), meditate, eat healthy, find hobbies. Challenge yourself and do things that makes you happy to gain confi…

I learned fuck all. 2016 was supposed to be the year to change everything in my life but it turned out to be the worst year so far. I have severe depression. I'm still trying NoFap and managed to get 40 days but I didn't feel any difference. I will keep trying tho. The only thing I learned is that I need to get things into practice, but I still need to learn about doing it.

The thing is that I am good looking. I've been told. But girls just get turned off when I talk to them. It's all about game man. Most girl will say they are more attracted to men with confidence and personnality rather than good look.

I know right. One of mine is fucking boring but has a beard and blue eyes. That may be it. However, I believed girls usually didn't go for looks. They may approach a good looking guy but get turned off the moment he opens his mouth if he have a shitty personnaly (me for example). But for some it just doesn't apply.

Really? When I'm drunk I'm just more ankward and in my head. So I don't think that's the solution for me.

What are you getting at? My response wasn't sarcastic or anything like that. I acknowledge that I shouldn't analyse and get mad at what girls do. Separately, if I understood girls I would fucking get laid. But please...elaborate on how I could work on my attitude.

Good point man. That's why we always tell ourselves to never try to understand girls. I will remember that.

Lol I feel you. That's my biggest regret in life and I want to know the truth. I'm 27 now but I heard college girls will still go for guys up to their 30s. So there is still hope for us my man.

Thanks. I will try. But I have had some serious anxiety issues my entire life. So if that doesn't work I will have to go through therapy.

That's weird because out of two guys who work out, one might get attention and the other isn't. I barely got any when I was working out.

Prom* sorry I envy this tbh. Althought I had phases when I dont think about it. And that's when I felt the best in my life, so I know what you mean. I have to keep myself occupied to get to that state again.

Stop reading advices. I'm already so anxious I don't need anything more to think about so I try to avoid endless seeking of information.

I have everything going on for me in the look departement. I'm handsome and I dress well. I used to go to the gym until a couple month ago (I must start again). I do snowboard in the winter which I enjoy alot. But those external things didn't seems to give me any social confidence. And I can't make girls laugh. I'm still trying to figure out how to build self-esteem and a funny personality. I don't know if I'm at a point where I need to do some congnitive behavior therapy or some shit. Because n…

I've been told I'm handsome but look don't matter for shit when you have a poor personality. I do am interested in them but I always come up as anwkard or creepy so my true intentions are misinterpreted.

I know girls hope that. But in our society, guys for them represent only 10%. It must be so hard for them to have to reject the rest almost every time. It seems I'm not in that 10% and I need to change. As for Models, I've seen that book mention quite often on this sub so I will definitely read it. By the way I don't consider myself dependent on validation from women. As a matter of fact I've grown to learn not give a fuck. Not in the sense that I would go up to any girls and open them but in th…

Hmmm for advices I don't know.....something like "work on yourself", "become the best version of yourself you can be" or "do things that makes you happy". That would be a good start. I had to figure that out by myself because friends, family or mainstream media for that matter will always give you shitty advices just for the sake of their good consciousness. Telling someone "be yourself" or "be confident" isn't helping especially for anxious and depressed people. Because we don't have any refere…

I don't tolerate bad behavior, either from guys or girls. I've meet alot of girls who thinks their shitty behavior is justified just because they are girls. Like skipping the line in a bar.

Maybe my perception is wrong from my standpoint but that's what I experienced so far. And yeah, I do need a fucking prim date, or some much needed mutual affection at least. You would understand if you didn't get any for years

I don't consider myself a pushover but honestly I'm pretty sad to look at. I tried to detach myself from this mentally but I can't relate either to my natural friends who gets laids all the time. I do try to get answers from them about how their game works. All I get is "just relax dude, be yourself"....yeah right....I haven't been myself for 27 years so how am I supposed to just be it all of a sudden?

Thx for your input. Unfortunately, a lot of guys get rejected because girls instinctively assume every guys are assholes who want to get in their pants. I respect women and don't treat them as objects. But everyone needs affection at some point. Human beings can't stay sane while being alone for so long. However, I'm bad at having conversation with them, which automaticaly makes me look like a pervert who isn't treating them as people. Even if that's not the case. If my interactions were smoothe…

Dude I can totally relate to everything you mention here. I'm also 27 and I have been humiliated during high school. It effected my life ever since. The only thing that's different (but not so different) is that I have friends who are really good with girls and get laid all the time. Unfortunately, they are naturals so they can't give me any constructive advices while going out so I still have to rely on myself to improve How has therapy worked out for you? I'm thinking about consulting. However…

''I feel like if I could just get past the hurdle of that initial burst of anxiety then my interactions would go well (for the most part).'' This! I totally feel this way. Because I'm emotionally stable and confident in every day situation. I have no trouble socializing with my friends or any other guys. And I have had situations when I can have flowing conversations with girls so I know I have value as a person and that I got things to offer. But whenever I meet new girls, the anxiety comes dow…

That's the thing. I have a clear sense of my priorities, but my subconscious is completely disconnected from them. So how did you get to this point?

There were definitely a few girls over the past months who lost interest and stopped talking to me, because I don't know how to flirt back. They take it as if I am not interested, when that's not the case at all. It is so frustrating not having my intentions aligned with my actions. And I honestly don't know what I want right now. I'm really happy with my freedom, and I don't see myself being exclusive to one girl. But at the same time, I miss the companionship and attention from a girl. However…

It seems like you're a guy who have his shit together. And women can feel it just but your presence. This is something that fascinates me, and also something we can't fake. Don't wanna sound jealous, but I wish I was like you, although my social background hasn't lead me to this. Many guys, including myself, do not have this advantage and we have to work hard for it. I've tried to go out solo a couple of times. Never worked because my anxiety quickly gets at me when I'm alone. Some may say I try…
