I can't believe people would willingly share a story like that. She didn't even mention if there was anything off about him and he was normal enough to get dates with women she knows. I put up the better side of my person while going out but this reinforces my idea of hiding my more niche/geek interests. God forbid men having hobbies.

Are you trolling? It clearly says men with low sexism both ways are more likely to be perceived as showing hostile sexism. It clearly states people see the relation as inversely proportional(negative relationship) as opposed to women who are seen as having a proportional (positive relationship? I can't see anything other than the intro so I can't judge their methodology but it's clearly stated.

Not even that charitable. I've gone through lengths to improve my appearance and social skills and some women I know and friends of friends will rank me a 7.5 to 8( let's assume they are honest.) Still sometimes a creep, and friends rush between me and women to say they are gay if I try to say hi, only for both to be with guys they met at the club a little while later. I'm over it and just approach as I see fit when I see fit. As long as the bouncer doesn't tell me to fuck off I don't give a shi…

Because I only have limited time in the day. after 8 hours of work, 8 hours of sleep and then a few hours of miscellaneous activities I only have so much time for friends. I can't remain close friends with every woman that rejects my romantic advances. I literally need that time to try with other women. You don't have to cut them off cold but spending less time with them is the prudent thing to do.

This also happens with gay friends. I've known girls who turned down other girls but the friend sticks around and is way more overt in still trying to get a relationship than a guy would be. If those girls are too in love to have a friendship it's fine if they remove themselves from the situation.

I completed my first 5 day fast a few days ago. It was an amazing thing I had so much time on my hands because I didn't need to eat or use the bathroom also I needed less sleep and apparently that's common. Unfortunately I didn't make much use of my new found free time but it was a learning experience. I plan to do this once a month and use the time to prepare for exams and just generally improve my life. I started working out again and I should go to a few TKD tournaments this semester.
