He's currently married and has been for several years. I was listening to one of his vids late at night on maintaining love in a marriage and my wife over heard it. The next day she said for me to take note because he said in fewer words what shes been trying to communicate to me for a good while. His course on keeping the love in a marriage is really good imo. Its really helped me in my relationship with my wife. I tried married redpill but its bitter. I spent 1k on counselling with slow progre…

And for next time remember if you are tempted, you will be rewarded for every good you do and temptation you resist. Every idle word or action. God will reward you for the good you do and evil you resist at the final judgement.

4 point Calvinist (amyraldian). Complementarian. I think 4 pointers have a good balance and is best structurally imo.

I did at 29 after my second child. I love it...no fear of my wife getting pregnant. She never tolerated the pill - condoms suck! Just make sure you get an open ended vasectomy, scapel free. So u dont get chronic pain in your balls. Sex feels no different than before! I dont know if u realise but your sperm still is produced. Sorry to be crass but it just pumps out into the sac. I dont see how its seen as a loss of manhood. Unless you plan on adultery....which as a Christ follower you wont, why d…

None of what you stated gets a man a girl. Godliness isnt attraction. Thats the number one thing i learned here. Paul was a dweeb and thats ok. Lets not pretend he was some CHAD. 2 Cor 10:10 For some say, "His letters are weighty and forceful, but his physical presence is unimpressive, and his speaking is of no account." 1 Cor 2:3 3 I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. --- Paul was not an attractive man by RPChristian standards.

Depends on if your gunning for a partner or not. I dont think the apostle paul was an attractive man. Nor did he need to be.

Christian men attend church as Christian men submit to scripture. Its not more complicated than that. A Christian man searches until he finds a solid biblical church. Any other excuse is from the flesh. Hell, move cities if thats what it takes or found a biblical church.

"Put an end once for all to this discussion of what a good man should be, and be one." – Marcus Aurelius I think this also fits your post. Great post by the way.

Appreciate your words. I started lifting 1/1/19. I'm seeing results. About 20%BF. My wife says I'm about a 7/10 in the looks department. She's noticed pecs forming and complimented my muscles. I'm on my way to getting shredded. It's the goal anyway. Emotions...well I'll go post an Oys this week. I'm just pretty much over her. Full of resentment. She's a great cook so at least there's that. I didn't marry to have a roommate. I didn't marry to be drip fed sex once a week. I know I'm butthurt. I'll…

Edit: you misread my comment. Now fixed. I had kids 3 yrs in. I was 26 or 27. That's early to most. I'm 30 now...4yo and 2yo. You can read my post history if you want to hear my complaints. No...I was complacent...She also was mothering me a lot. She's headstrong would fight to have her own way not submissive at all. We're still working through it all. Marriage counseling. I'm over it though. I've taken the reigns of many domains, say no to her more. She controls the sex...So be it. I'm controll…

We struggled sexually during engagement ....a lot. Didn't sleep with each other though. I don't need to mention what we did...it painted a picture of an awesome marriage ahead.

"You mean such is the hand we picked when we chose to marry someone - and we even got to look at the cards before we picked them to make sure we were picking wisely." Unless you are sleeping with your girlfriend/fiance your sex life is literally the only card you can't look at before choosing a spouse. We talked alot about how it would be like. But 7 years and 2 kids in....yeah. No amount of foresight can predict a potential mates libido even in the first year of marriage. We know woman say one …

Correct. Which leaves genuine Christians who want a good sex life stuck to work it through with their wife. Such is the hand dealt to us. Struggle and pain moulds the man right. A wife is just another tool in God's hand...including her sin (of withholding sex). Friction polishes a Gem...trials build a man. Including mismatched libido. While it sucks....divorce isn't a card in the genuine Christians deck to play. Develop manhood for God. As a Christian your submission to Christ should dominate al…

Monday I told my wife she's never content and got really cut up about it. What you have just described is an accurate summary of my situation. Always looking at the next project.

Thank you greatly for your thought out response. This is the depth I was looking for. I do believe in patriarchy....as established by God. It isn't even a negative term...just hijacked by feminists. I will read more. I will question more (pastor / counselor) But what you have described is my ideal complementarian marriage. I'll stop using that word now I realise it's origins. Yes the Sarah calling Abraham Lord makes the case pretty crystal clear. Of which Paul cites as an exemplary case of a goo…

Thanks for that. So I've read them all on my lunch break and here's my take: Re: Servant Leadership The issue is people emphasizing the servant part of the word and neglecting the leadership part of the word. So it seems the problem could simply be resolved by asserting biblical headship...saying the husband should be the leader, who also serves (this seems to be what Christ did and what we are commanded to do as husbands). I agree the S-L word is often just a politically correct method to deny …

Can you help me understand the negatives of complementarianism? I've always called myself one. I dislike egalitarianism as its clearly unscriptural. I thought they were polar opposite...one says men and women are the same (Not so), the other that they are different and complimentary. What's the 3rd way? Also I see that servant leadership is trashed a lot. I'm trying to understand the issue with it? I see Jesus as modeling it. Would appreciate your help and or resources/links.

Not worth being butthurt over imo. Feminist world we live in. They can think what they please it doesn't make it so. Some of the stuff in that ad is pretty douchey anyway. I don't want guys catcalling my wife going down the street...though most men wouldn't behave this way anyway. I'll always encourage my son to westle though. Getting mad at the ad is too much effort. Stoicism would advise us not to be phased by it. Plus this: https://youtu.be/RmFnarFSj_U

That isnt the impression I got from him. He exhorts guys to find a mission (for Christ) and lay down their life for it. A wimp and weak man isnt what I see. He went to south america for years to work as a missionary - not something a wimp would do in my eyes. Im not here to defend him perse, but what exact behaviours have u noted that aren't masculine? Maybe we have been exposed to different material.

I will read. I know Grudem has some issues but Ive been a big fan of Piper for many years. That said I havent tried to rehash his marriage material in light of rp ideology. I'll check out Dalrocks post. Cheers.

This may not be the place to ask....but i'll ask it anyway. Why has this sub taken this approach? The thing i appreciate most about /r/marriedredpill is that its a male only domain for guys to talk with other guys (something that just doesn't exist in the 21st century ). I personally wish a similar thing existed for Christian men. How i see it the very problem boys have today is women telling them how to be men (as opposed to other men). This was my issue growing up...and my brothers (who is now…

Just a complementarian. I didnt mind his view on marriage in his systematic theology. Thats all I've heard from him. Paul washers solid and challenging. Manhood wise.

Great response. i'm new and have struggled with reconciling rp & Christianity and have thought very similar thoughts as the OP. Your response is well put - given i'm married and do desire a good sex life and happy marriage - rp seems necessary. I do wonder why God made women as he did. Hypergamous and such. this forum and resources has helped me immensely already kicked me hard enough to get up and be the driver not the passenger of my marriage. Read 1 john 2 & 3. Answers this question very plainly. Essentially "if anyone says I know Him (Christ) but doesnt keep His commandments, he is a liar and the truth is not in him." -John Pretty black and white...not perfection obviously but a repentant heart.

If we replace the concept of golf and sex with say....doing the dishes or talking does the model still work? That said im new to this, and I think i can learn a lot from this. Still the solution seems to be just to settle for less sex.
