What makes a REALLY good lawyer? I’m serious. How can I determine when I consult with them? Obviously I want someone who knows all the tricks and knows how to be proactive etc etc. I spoke to a coupe and the best in my eyes was a woman who others call a bulldog but what the hell does that mean?

Tough love incoming. Bro. So you’re struggling to decide whether to leave? No. Stand up for yourself my man. Even if she’s a goddamn bikini model, she needs to go. Everyone deserves / expects a certain level of respect from our partners. This means acting like a human and being vulnerable and doing things to improve the relationship yada yada. She made this decision for divorce already. You can’t just let this shit go. She decided to fuck around on you. She’s making the call here. You clearly kn…

I could have written this too. I have been taking the blame for everything and especially her ignoring me through my cancer but……. Mine is a covert narcissist but she won’t ever get help so I’ve diagnosed it myself. Fuck it and fuck her. I’ve been through everything other than sexual abuse from her. And it continues. After cancer I had way different priorities than she did. She went back to bitching about stupid shit and telling me to get over my chemo side effects. My mind was elsewhere and it …

I heard the only advantage was something about driving the process and dates of things.

Nope. 👎 I’m staying home. While you’re gone she’s physically moving whatever she wants to a storage unit.

Sorry and wow. Another guy but also could be another girl and could be why she’s not divulging specifics. It’s a really shitty move and I’d tell everyone how shitty it is. Her disrespect is off the charts. You aren’t “owed” anything but you do deserve an explanation out of courtesy and respect. You see all those things you supported her with? Time to let people know them in my opinion.

I think these questions need to be crowdsourced.

Dude. Quick tough love. Ball up. It’s over and it’s my opinion that you should act first.

Is there any reason why you are zipping your own lips and why must you be so careful not to disparage her? She ripping you and slamming you and she fucking didn’t live up to the marriage commitment. Call her out on it and refute all of it and call her out too. Especially go after any abuse claims. If that pisses you off then what the point of being all nice about it.

At least they care dude. Turn it around and just let them say what they say kind of what I’m doing with your message. Come on man.

Regardless of stance on R movies or guns the point is missed. My take is that the ex is was controlling to the point where everything was an override by her. So it’s pretty hypocritical to say the ex is reasonable but his opinion is not. Co-parenting isn’t “co” when your voice isn’t remotely considered reasonable by the other - causing the battle. The example here is a squeeze but he is there and watched the movie too. That’s pretty reasonable too regardless of what anyone here thinks. The fact …

I have a deep awareness of how my male privilege makes shit easier for me while harder for her. We have a shitty relationship and we close to the end but I can at the very least give 3 fucks and plan good shit if she considers Mother’s Day important. My 3 girls love it and I’m the better example in my opinion. And I’ll do this until we’re through because fuck her and her narcisssm avoidant persona and no-sex jerking of is bad mentality. I’m not sinking to her lows in front of my girls until eith…

Yeah she had some pent up resentment and she believes you were part of her sadness. Why would you think that you weren’t? If your relationship was that good then maybe you would have been able to figure it out or maybe she would feel comfortable enough to tell you. Therapists are not my favorite people and hers may be vile but you’re trying to justify the “why” by blaming someone else. Most therapists aren’t assholes. Most won’t sway decisions and yes I can find research stating otherwise too. W…

Do you even listen to yourself man? She’s not stupid - she knows you are and this proves it. Wake up.

I have 2 povs on this. Side 1: You did make a commitment. Side 2: fuck it your miserable a your wasting away in a life that she likes but you hate. Reality: You will grow resentment and things will get nasty. Or, if there’s any chance, surprise her, take her out and away. Lay some pipe like you know you can and see how she responds to your vigor. Perhaps you both sit in a holding pattern and just can’t break the ice. Or, she feels it too. Either way you’re going to have to communicate.

She’s a narcissist huh? Congrats. But if you need to ask then it’s a yes. Just go full bore incognito. You’ve come this far - you can’t leave the door open like that unless you’re seeking some Julia Robert’s Sleeping with the Enemy type shit. Do it all.

Why? Because you are a decent person who like me can’t seem to strip the last ounce of hope that she’ll finally deliver on your expectations. We have to really work on doing things and people that make Us Happy now. Start the transition - call the hottie tonight.

Not divorced yet but this is my situation. I’m getting to my end. I don’t know where to start. She controls everything - and even tries to control me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
