I mean honestly at the end of the day the issue remains that one doesn’t really get to choose who they are attracted to? Personally I’m a lesbian and thriving but ik a fair amount of straight women who are rarely attracted to anyone just due to like how brain is wired.

1.) no, it’s already an issue without having an exact thing to point to, though in my opinion I’d guess it probably has a lot to do with a lack of emotional support within male-male friendships. 2.) I’m a lesbian, but I do my best to provide emotional support to my friends and that includes men that are my friends 3.) for reasons stated above, no 4.) there is no correlation between me and my girlfriend’s intimacy and whether or not male suicidality is caused by sexlessness

Another incredible day to be a lesbian

1st example is not a pick me, that’s parental alienation lmao 2nd example is not a pick me, that’s a crime (though it is complicated as very few SAers who did do the crime are convicted so this take just lacks nuance imo) 3rd example is not a pick me, just an example of what it means to have a choice To me, and I think most, a pick me is a woman who puts down other women for the attention and admiration of other men. For example: a woman who makes fun of her female friend for “wearing so much ma…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/26 05:17 PM

Alright. I’m down with the “words have no meaning anymore” argument honestly. Maybe the only solution is for OP to define what they mean by slang buzzword type words within the original post? That seems like the easiest way around this plight
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 04:47 PM

I fear you are missing the whole point of the term pick me. It’s the kind of girl who tells you you’re wearing too much makeup because men like natural women. It is the kind of woman who puts other women down in front of men so she looks better in comparison. A pick me is not a woman in a loving relationship with a man.

I mean if you get irrationally angry when you see lesbians that seems like a you problem? They were never on the table as potential suitors to begin with for men. But maybe that’s why.

Hehehe yeah my girlfriend is quite anxious generally (hence the GAD) but not when it comes to relationship security? Idk exactly what we’re doing right but it’s working :3

Yeah I'm in an open lesbian relationship and honestly a large portion of my social circle is nonmonogamous lesbians. It's actually chill as hell over here, despite what OP would probably think. Probably partly because people that are cool with nonmonogamy probably also tend to be less neurotic. I would love to see OP at a function for that social circle lmao.

It does look like a straight woman wrote it mostly because they (as far as I am aware) tend to pretty highly value these things in men while men often say they don’t care about career or education (I also don’t know if this is true I am a lesbian). This rhetoric is also just generally pretty common in the hetero world.

This is the best response I’ve seen omg. I feel like the normal response would just be like “What are you feeling insecure about?” And then address it specifically. Turns out actually hearing what someone is saying and responding to that specifically works???

True! That’s why my ideal scenario is marry a best friend who I know would be great as a child rearing partner. We prenup and can do whatever we want romantically on the side and get tax benefits. Eventually we may want to coparent and we will be open and honest with the child and model healthy conflict and friendship.

In my experience as a woman talking to women, it is almost exclusively used negatively. It denotes a sort of desperation and immaturity when used by women. They are not considered desirable. Though I will say that you’re right about one thing which is that if they were unattractive they would be called a creep or perv. Lookism is a thing and it’s super shitty, being attractive does lessen creep to fuckboy, though fuckboy is still a dig.

I mean ideal first date is meet up, either split a big sandwich or each have our own medium sized sandiwich, I pay, we walk around after and hang out, then go out separate ways unless we both want to keep hanging out. I’d like to actually know someone before we decide how to proceed

/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/23 06:49 PM

No. 1.) I find red pill values very repulsive 2.) This guy seems really into the beach and I really really dislike the beach 3.) I like people that are more in touch with their femininity (ie not this dude) 4.) just overall is not my type and I would find his lifestyle insufferable. His cat is really cute though so that’s a plus.

Yeah there was actually a study about this and from what I remember, the percentage for both genders was VERY similar. I think women had a very slightly (like under 5%) higher number than men but it’s still a phenomenon for both.

In all fairness many of those super famous kpop people (both genders) will faint and vomit on stage, require frequent IVs, and are kept on an extremely restrictive diet and overworked by their management company. It’s not a gender thing for me when it comes to the Kpop stuff, it’s just often a very unethical business unfortunately.

I know these sorts of filters are already screwing with esteem. I’ve seen countless friends of mine that are girls begin in middle school with whatever Snapchat filter and constantly use them and through highschool they slowly switch to face tuning every photo they post on Instagram. Some of these women are absolutely stunning naturally but can’t see past the artificial “better” version of themselves. Yes. When you’re a lesbian, you will see your exes in the future if you engage in queer spaces. It’s not too bad though because I still like my exes as people. The useless lesbian thing stems more from being nervous around people you find attractive and not wanting to screw things up so you play it cool and then realize that you’re just not playing it at all. Bisexuals are cool and I have no issues dating them. Nothing redpill applies whatsoever though lmao. We don’t see the people we’re trying …

Yeah I was diagnosed with BPD at 13 fucking years old because apparently that’s more reasonable than maybe trying to figure out if I’m on the spectrum. Lo and behold, went to DBT and the only remaining symptoms are the ones that overlap with ASD. I LOVE THE MEDICAL INDUSTRY!
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/23 03:49 PM

I think you may be experiencing tunnel vision from feeling attacked by people telling you you’re wrong. Just know that most people are actually relatively normal and have reasonable views. People are disagreeing with you saying that all/most women think this way because they don’t. Not because they think that men actually are all terrible.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/23 04:31 PM

You’re probably making a joke but are you not doing the exact same thing she is in the last paragraph? She’s crazy for sure but if we used all the crazy men to point at and be like “See?! All men are crazy!” That would be incorrect and a flawed argument. We kinda just need to recognize that there are better and worse people in every group.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/23 04:27 PM

Yeah so your previous point of “it’s indicative of social issues” is a nothingburger? You’re admitting that it’s popular because it’s outrageous. Not because everyone agrees with her.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/23 04:15 PM

It’s popular because it’s ridiculous. Things get popular because they are extreme and unusual. People go viral for accidentally burning their hair off with a curling iron all the time. People go viral for screaming in Walmart. Is that indicative of a social issue?

Okay first off definitely don’t try to pick up people at work. At least try to befriend them first and talk about that stuff outside of work. For the other places I think they’re fine as long as you have the social awareness to see when someone is clearly trying to not interact with people such as wearing headphones. Also be willing to accept that someone may not want to talk with you (and this goes for everyone not just women). Talking to women you haven’t met in any of these places isn’t a pro…

This is not very comforting, I must say. Idk but for some reason people being attracted to my face feels much better than people being attracted to my body. Which is weird. I’m not sure why I feel that way?

I mean locus of control largely stems from behavior models in early childhood (especially parents) and there may be influence from genetics. It’s possible that this theory could have something to do with gendered socialization. That doesn’t change the fact that an external locus of control is VERY present in those who identify with the blackpill.

I'd be deeply confused because while I work very hard on my glutes and look in shape and proportional, my ass is in no way a thing to behold. I'm thin and work out so I look proportional and stuff but gatdamn I am not blessed in that area.

Yeah obviously it’s fun to get compliments on your makeup (I tend towards more gothic makeup but sometimes I do colorful pastel type deals) because it’s really just wearable art. Not everyone uses it that way but self expression is probably my favorite part about makeup and it feels great to be validated in that. It’s also quite ritualistic for me and it makes me feel ready for the day. Also, people just smile at you all day and it feels great! Even when I don’t go out at all, playing with makeu…

Nah, eye contact with anyone makes me nervous to begin with. Now a person I don’t know is staring at me and I make eye contact with them and I look away and back and they’re still looking? This is a question for men but as a person that is not a man who likes women: Sharp lines with a little bit of edge is super attractive to me (Like suits on women are just incredible) but honestly as long as it's got an edge to it, I'll probably think it looks great on women.

/r/ExRedPill01/04/23 02:51 AM

One interesting thing that I’ve recently come to see is that in order to be an incel, the person needs to have a distinctly external locus of control. Meaning that the reason they present as perpetual victims likely stems from the fact that they believe they have no control over anything in their life. Therefore they would be much less likely to work on themselves or take accountability because they truly think they have no agency in their lives. I think this also affects how sensitive they are …

Idk but as an xx chromosome haver I do think profile 1 actually looks great! I think having a personal and good sense of style is actually a great visual indicator of showing that you take time for yourself. (If it’s just a bunch of expensive stuff slapped together that’s much less charming though.) I don’t know why people think men shouldn’t seem like they’re trying to look nice. I don’t see why they think that putting in effort somehow makes lesser. Maybe they just get something that I don’t.

Ah yes because insulting random women that you don’t even know for arbitrary things that don’t even affect you is you standing up for good morality. /r/PurplePillDebate21/03/23 11:54 AM

My take is that preferences are fine, great even. Stick to them but don’t degrade others for simply not meeting those standards. Date whoever you want but don’t shame others for high n counts or weight or whatever. Basically don’t be an asshole.

Hey, as a person with BPD, I just want to say that is not at all how bpd works. You got bpd because of childhood issues (often neglect or abandonment) and it was solidified in your teens. BPD can make it harder to be in a relationship but it can not be caused once you’re an adult.

Literally. This idea of the “huge divide between men and women” is so chronically online. Go outside and meet real people because most of these “problems” aren’t actually causing issues for most people
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:19 PM

I definitely resonate with this. I’m bisexual but at this point, hearing what men have to say about women and all, I am not really interested in men anymore. It also has to do with some of my previous relationships. The ones I’ve had with women have all been great and the breakups have gone well, whereas the ones with men tend to lack communication, emotional maturity, and breakups always suck. I do feel thankful that I wasn’t born heterosexual often because of this sort of thing lol.

If there are receipts, compile them to show they were the one at fault. Of course I would be upset with my parents for believing their side over mine. If for some reason evidence does not win them over, I would be convinced that my parents had been swapped out for doppelgängers tbh.

I mean if you enjoy going to the gym, you may enjoy going to a weighted reformer Pilates class. It’s more weight training as opposed to mat Pilates but the demographic is still predominantly women. In my experience it’s a very social community as well and even if you can’t find someone you mesh with, you’re at least getting a fantastic ab (and everything else) workout.

I guess I shouldn’t assume that lmao

This is called negging. Hope you grew out of that
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/23 09:47 PM

I just explained this. It is called a fawn response. Many people who have experienced abuse have this response to danger and it means that rather than trying to escape or fight, they will ‘tend and befriend’ the person they’re scared of in order to make them stop their current behavior. Read a psychology textbook.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/23 09:00 PM

Oh my god. He is punching the wall and you can’t see how that would be frightening to her? Is he punching the wall out of frustration towards her because that is so much worse
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/23 08:54 PM
8

No? Relationships require healthy communication. Not turbulence. Craving turbulence in a relationship is not indicative of anything healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/23 08:49 PM
2

It’s called a fawn response, which is a fear based response. What this guy calls ‘naggy and bossy’ may just be her voicing her needs and he doesn’t like that. I’m not saying he is intentionally abusing her, but this sort of behavior is very much concerning in a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/23 08:48 PM
11

In the post it describes her as being a ‘kitten’ after these events and he does it to stop her from being ‘naggy and bossy.’ What about this description doesn’t scream that he’s looking for her to be complacent? This is manipulation 101.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/23 08:45 PM
3

Low self esteem isn’t an excuse to purposefully screw with your partner
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/23 08:41 PM
14

Okay so I think the thing you may be missing here is that this dude is scaring and screwing with is girlfriend in order to make her more complacent. She is having a ‘fawn responses’ (an instinct to prevent harm) to this which may seem like a good thing but inevitably she is going to realize what’s happening and the entire thing is going to crash and burn. Relationships are built on mutual respect and a sense of safety. Not fear and instability.

Honestly dude I have bpd and I find that in relationships I lose my sense of self and become very… malleable? It’s caused me to just be okay with being treated terribly because of how infatuated I can be. It’s my own problem and my own mental illness but the way I can be the most stable is by being alone and keeping even most platonic relationships very surface level. Dating just isn’t a good idea for the way I’m wired so I just abstain. I’m still young so maybe I will improve and be able to res…

Usually when I go out I am complimented by women (usually super respectful and when it's flirty it's still super complimenty) but sometimes men do get weird when I am in a super public place but it's usually like "You look cold, lemme warm you up" or some weird stuff like that. I think I may have tuned it out because if someone isn't making direct eye contact with me I usually assume they are not talking to me, so people around me actually have to make me aware that someone just hit on me. EXACTLY! THE PEOPLE DIAGNOSED WITH BPD ARE REALLY NOT THE BORDERLINES TO WORRY ABOUT!!! (Most of the time at least, some people are just shitty people)
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 06:40 PM
2

Yeah I was diagnosed far too young, which meant I enrolled in DBT before I had even hit highschool lol. I tend to have much more self awareness because of the diagnosis and amount of self examination I had to go through while my peers hadn’t had to do anything remotely similar. Was I terrible before treatment? Yes. Was I also hurting and in a terrible environment? Yes. I still split and have fps but I’m aware of it and what’s happening so I can properly deal with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 06:32 PM

Not sure if you’re aware of this but individuals with BPD can be treated make huge improvements in their mental state and behaviors. This doesn’t change the fact they have BPD. It is a disorder born from neglect and not so great childhoods and to qualify as borderline you only have to meet 5 of 9 traits. Those presenting with borderline can suffering from vastly different experiences. The difference between a treated and untreated borderline can be huge and therefore treating them as if they are…

People are going to be cruel just because they can. And 3.) He had a media campaign building up to the face reveal which I believe gave people inflated ideas of what he looked like

I just meant that it’s a really nice thing to do which at least for me is a very good attribute in a person I want to date. An action being cute is really not necessarily a bad thing. It generally just means that someone did something really sweet

Alright so I feel like for tutorials It’s going to take longer because you are also talking to and showing things to the audience. If they abused you, you shouldn’t blame yourself. That says more about their character than it does yours. I’m really sorry that happened to you and I’m glad you’re doing better now! You shouldn’t blame yourself for other people’s choices on how to treat you. Similarly, you shouldn’t blame other victims for how they were treated.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/20 10:35 PM

I don’t actually think that. I think the same goes for men. If a man has a bad experience with a woman and she’s shitty to him I’m not going to blame him because... (drum roll please) victim blaming is really not a good thing to do
