I live in Austin and make quite a bit more. And still it’s not great, it’s a fun, but expensive town. Not trying to talk you out of it, but consider that in your calculations

I had planned the first week of our separation to wear it until the divorce was final. Then I took it off the second week and just never put it back on. I threw in into the ocean on vacation several months later. I had phantom leave the house and “wait where’s my ring?!” thoughts for about a year after. It was just for a second, but some part of my brain just had it embedded if the need to have my ring on when leaving the home after so many years of wearing it.

I’ve been on countless dates and literally never once been asked how much I make. I don’t know if it’s who I’m pursuing, regional, or what, but I’m very suspicious of these posts. I also highly suspect the reason you are successful there is because they just assume you have money. Jumping from the pan into the fire here.

You sound like a good an accomplished guy. But honestly some people just aren’t good. There’s rude ignorant and hateful people out there. Unfortunately I believe that’s always been the case. But people still found love and some good in the world in the past and you can now. There’s still some good people out there. You have to fight against the urge to give up, fight against the assholes trying to get you to withdraw from life. Giving up isn’t an option. And even if I’m wrong, I promise blind gr…

I sometimes would make a work call to delay going in. Or in real rough times just pretend too. I almost forgot about those days. It’s weird how much my preference from being at work to home has flipped.

No, it doesn’t. Though I do think there’s probably a better chance that way at first than begging or letting her have the best of both worlds. Right now she feels she can still keep you AND her new exciting single life. Cutting that off at least makes them decide. Sometimes they decide they do want them back. Unfortunately that’s a small minority of the time. But here’s the benefit, yes you may get her back this way, probably not, but maybe. But even more so, you get yourself back in the process…
