My sister in Christ, I majored in comp sci and the guys here were/are absolutely hoeless. The guys that actually got girls were the ones in majors that lead to low-paying jobs (linguistics and social sciences n stuff) cause they were full of girls
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/26 11:15 PM

LOL I relate, it was the exact same for me. My mom also ended up just buying me the couch. I ended up using it as a sort of wardrope and just threw clothes on it.

Remember guys Women's issues with men are systemic and societal issues. 'Sexist double standards' require big campaigns and the cooperation of everyone to solve. Men's issues with women however, they are individual and to solve on an individual level. You don't like that many women impose a sexist double standard on you? Just choose to associate with different women. Free market baby

Yeah one could select 'high' even if they have just been one long LTR. I'm just attempting to find a good proxy for n count that doesn't sound terribly weird. Not a native English speaker so if you have a better idea lmk

I concede it's vague but so are a lot of prompts on the apps like political stance is a lot more complex than just 'liberal' and 'conservative', it's just supposed to be a rough eyeball to gauge compatibility quickly

Looks fake, but if it's real kudos to her for being honest and giving actionable advice. Almost all girls will put the guy on a timer (usually longer than 1 date though) and if he doesn't make a move in the timeframe then they'll just ghost or give a bullshit rejection reason.

For relationships you need to meet a lot more criteria and go on multiple dates. For a relationship you need to meet 'stable partner'-criteria such as good job, educated, having hobbies, manners, being friendly etc. However, the 'sex appeal'-threshold (in both looks and behavior) you need to pass is lower for a relationship. For ONS those things don't matter much and you can be a complete loser, you only need sex appeal. On paper it might look like there are "more" criteria to meet for a relatio…

Women's naivete on the matter is cute. You were never in the position where you had to seduce a woman while being man so how would you even know I guess
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 08:52 PM

It's not general social skills even, you have to be proficient in a specific subset of social skills to get ONS as a man. It's quite different from befriending people platonically

You are correct if we look at simping as an isolated variable there was probably more simping expected from men back in the day. However there are other variables that changed in the timeframe that make the remaining simping that is still expected seem even more unreasonable still

Women would get swarmed with 2463688 DMs if they posted themself. So they just browse the sub and pick and DM guys from the catalogue they like. It works out.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 11:16 AM
2

Yeah this is also one of the biggest reasons I dislike paying on for her on a date, from the opposite perspective. I want the woman to go the next steps with me because she likes me and thinks I'm cool and not because she feels she owes me something

In an actual relationship, sure. That's not what we're talking about though.

Yeah it's a prisoner's dilemma. If all men collectively raised their standards and stopped giving out attention freely, all men would benefit. But every man individually is always in every case better off being as much of a simp as he wants to. So this is never going to work out since men are just too thirsty and selfish. (I'm still trying to do my part though.)

I've read in pick-up spaces that having a pet can be a real game changer for getting a girl to go home with you, even if it's just fish or sth, just for the plausible deniability. "Want to come with me and see my dog/cat/fish?" sounds a lot better than just "wanna come over to my place?"

This is an interesting point and something I've been wondering myself. We already know that women are unreliable narrators when it comes to their attraction dynamics. I am a man and I can not look into a woman's head so I can never be 100% certain of the truth, we can only conjecture. Personally I believe when they say they actually find it attractive when a man proactively approaches them they are probably saying the truth. Such a thing as 'responsive desire' does seem to exist. On the other ha…

I give as little info about myself as possible in my Tinder profile. Anything you write about yourself will be "used against you" as a reason to swipe left by women. Women's match rates INCREASE with age — peaking at 40-44 (55.36%). Men peak at 18-21 and decline. I wonder why that's the case (for real) Cuffing season is a myth — m…

Yeah for sure us Europeans don't have this college culture where age 18-22 is THE designated age-span for it. Most of my friends from school are still enrolled in university in some way in their mid-20s and most of us aren't slackers. It's just pretty normal to start later, work on the side and take longer or return for a second degree or a master's after gathering some work experience

Sure sure but it's a very fitting equivalent and answer in any space where the discussion topic isn't artificially constrained to looks so I still felt like pointing this out. It's also not like men really want this either, they'd certainly prefer her looks wouldn't change during pregnancy.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 11:32 PM

There's no such tension in female sexuality. Finding a man sexually attractive doesn't inspire in me a desire to turn him into a sad aged tired sack. The female pendant of this is discussed a lot in red pill spaces though it's not really about appearance but personality and behavior. (I don't really know how much truth there is in this but they claim that) women like to take and tame a risk-taking, exciting, wild and free, maybe to some extent player bad boy and then "beta-fy" him and morph him …

I already knew this, I'm not stupid. But how does this make anything better? The reality is, assholes exist, they exhibit typical asshole behaviour and women will pick them in spite of or even because if it.

>but according to how the men on this sub think men should be considered attractive (autistically broken down into a bunch of numbers and colors) then clearly he fits the requirements. Depends on who you ask I guess but not really tbh. Height is like 20% of male physical attractiveness and iris colour maybe 3%? Facial bone structure and facial harmony are the most important factors and that's where he has too many flaws to be considered above average
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 10:28 PM
2

Some women, to some extend, sometimes...? I can not give a clear yes or no answer to that obviously but I just don't think the idea that assholes do not exactly struggle with women is completely produced out of thin air by jealous men. Especially when we have many studies stuggesting that bullies/criminals/men with dark triad traits are less likely to be long-time celibate/single/virgin than the average male.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 10:22 PM

I think it depends on the sport. If they just have to mechanically execute one motion like the sprinting or jumping olympic disciplines then yeah, they were just blessed with good genetics and trained really hard. I don't like this tbh because the first date is most likely to be the last. It's the most important "vibe-check". With each additional date the likelihood that you will keep dating increases by a lot. So if you as a man pay for the first date and then she dips (which will often be the case), you drew the short stick which defeats the entire purpose of this. I think my ideal would be 50/50 on the first date only, then alternate after that.

What do women gain by deliberately hiding this fact? If they actually deliberately hide it (which I doubt honesrly) I guess they would hope that it incentivizes men of both groups to follow their rules. If attractive men were straight up told the rules don't apply to them then they just wouldn't follow them. And if unattractive men were told the truth they might stop following them if they perceive it be unfair and humiliating.

Originally it only meant dating up in terms of social standing (class/income/caste). Manosphere midwits bastardized the term into some tautological "women like men who are attractive". Like if she chose a man that is not equal or below her in every possible attribute then she in some form "hypergamous". It means nothing anymore really

I've heard this argument before and it doesn't make sense to me. Short-term minded men can just approach you themselves right now. Nobody's stopping them. Who approaches shouldn't matter here. Just say no to short-term. Vet them and make them go on dates with you, just like you would if they approached you.

Ok I agree it's unethical but in a similar way to cheating in a relationship, it's not an actual crime. I think the issues with your argument are Not paying a prostitute isn't rape imo, rather something like fraud. Reminds of the position some people have that uncompensated labor is slavery. I disagree because nobody violently forced/coerced them to do the labor in the first place (that would constitute slavery/rape), they just withhold the reward after the fact. Non-contractual/not-materialisti…

You're completely correct and I would even argue there are benefits to a social norm where women are the ones to approach (less unwanted advances, less harassment, scary approaches from the more physically imposing gender etc.) but it's not gonna change anyway anytime so it's whatever

That's a fair but in my experience the correlation between money and travelling is not that strong. For instance, here in Europe you can do completely free and paid-for exchange semesters with partner universities within the EU. And besides that if you are okay with the backpacker lifestyle and staying at cheap hostels (whic…

I don't completely disagree, men tend to get more emotional than women about certain things, but I still think world cup players is among the worst possible examples you could've chosen. For someone to qualify as "emotional" to a degree it's worth pointing out, they'd have to get emotional about trivial things. Not their entire life's goals and effort being at stakes. "over a game" is crazy reductive. Pro sports and especially the football world cup is one of the most highly competitive, highest stakes environments of our age. They have worked hard their entire lives for this moment and winning or losing potentially decides over life-long fame and wealth. It's very expected behaviour. I would agree though if you made this point about hardcore football fans who get overly emotional over their team's losses they have no actual stakes in.

>openness to experience Yeah that's what I thought too, openness to experience is probably consistent across domains: if you enjoy the novelty of exploring new countries, you likely also enjoy meeting new people and yes also new sexual experiences. An issue I have with these "objective face rating"-communities is that they are inconsistent in accounting for age. A big reason the TRM subreddit tends to earn so much derision from normies is that it compares young people to their peers in their age group. An average 20 years old young woman is very attractive and most men/people would intuitively rate her a 7 or 8 on the "normie scale". Then they see TRM rates her a 5 (as other 20 years old women are the reference point and she is just averag…

Others have pointed it out already but your error is thinking that asking for a paternity test is the same as legally accusing someone of a crime. It is not. It will likely damage the relationship or lead to a break-up. That's not the same as legal punishment though. Now if he were to actually legally to accuse her of paternity fraud in attempt to get reparation payments (in a reality where such a thing exists (and that I would find favourable)) then sure he should be punished heavily. Not the point. Height is not indicative of favourable personality traits in a relationship And since OP said > If living with a man, by default, is an incredibly bad deal and likely to get you screwed over, it's only logical to look for traits that indicate that you'll be less likely to be screwed over. It's very valid to point that out.

> Average is a perfect candidate for LL because going from short to average does not change anything. Wrong. Those are all arbitrary constraints that don't matter imo. The common thread is someone/a gender has a preference for a trait which they themself do not possess and don't need to possess because the preference for trait (rather than the trait itself) is dimorphic. Getting mad at a short woman preferring tall men imo would be more like getting mad at a thick stocky man preferring women with small waists and long legs. That’s the best comparison I can think of. Another one (which is actually a rea…

n count is not a sexually dimorphic trait in the same way height is. so it’s not really the best comparison. Seems like an arbitrary constraint that doesn't matter for the comparison. Now that I think of it, a better objection to the comparison would be that height is a genetic trait that's mostly aesthetics while n count difference might indicate a difference in values and lifestyle.

Even with mammals species there are many examples of male peacocking, gorillas, lions, deers etc. And i wonder why I think humans are more monogamous and lean towards 1:1 pairings rather than a 'winner takes it all'-scenario where one male gets all the females. The selection pressure is more equalized between males and females, they both have to try to find a good long-term mate so less pressure on males specifically to look good. And also, humans are a more advanced species so our personality, …

> I wonder if humans were most similar to birds, it would be the males who would have to dress up to try impressing women. It's not just birds, in almost any animal species the males are the ones to peacock and try to one-up each other with their looks while the females are dull looking. Humans are very unique in this regard
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/26 05:29 PM

So I guess according to bluepillers now there is NO way to EVER find out someone's body count or even estimate it, there are NO clues whatsoever, NOBODY asks about it and even if they did you could always just LIE which is totally OKAY. Cool 😐 Shut down this thread I guess there is nothing to discuss

It's probably not something that most men would ask directly I guess, rather they would look for clues, hear what stories you or friends have to tell and make inferences from that

Q4Men who care about body count + her past sexual behavior in general: What is a formerly slutty women who has a high n count and wants to "repent for her sins" actually supposed to do? Like imagine she had promiscuous phase where she slept quickly with many men and now wants to settle down but (in this imaginary scenario) realizes that no good man wants to take her anymore because they are put off by her sluttiness. Because I often sense this rather grim sentiment that once a woman has accumula…

Yeah I remember some study that was once posted here (I will prolly not find it again) A sample of men (mostly their looks) were evaluated in different metrics by both a male and a female test group. These evaluations were later, amongst other things, put into relation with their real sexual/romantic outcomes (how many partners they had, how happy their relationship is, sth like that) The thing that correlated the most with the men's actual sexual/romantic success were the other men's evaluation…

I don't disagree with anything you wrote here. If anything you reinforced my point. Men definitely have "casual only" and "LTR material" categories as well and I'm sure that's very frustrating for women, just in a different (kinda the opposite) way. But I felt the comment I replied to was implying that they are same, which I wanted to point out is not the case.

Why 'easy sex', you can vet him the same over the course of multiple dates just like the guy who approached you first
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 09:50 PM

But there's another problem. A man will most likely say yes to a woman approaching. That doesn't mean he really likes her, it's just an opportunity for sex. When a guy pursues a woman and she says yes, it's more likely she's really interested. I'd much rather be told no than a fake yes I'd actually wager it's the other way around. The kind of man who approaches many women is likely a fuckboy (the kind of guy who looks for sex opportunistically). Even if most men who do approach do so with genuin…

You see women aren't shy around the men they truly desire. They aren't waiting for him to approach and they certainly aren't going to wait for another woman to approach him which is exactly why they persue him first. Which is my first reason as to why approaching a woman means it's already over. Because if you didn't already demonstrate your value as soon as she saw you and that made her feel she had to make the first move you are already at a deficit in her eyes. Because she felt no urgency to …

I disagreed with the title, but then I basically agreed with almost everything in the post. In the end it comes down to your level of inhibition. Inhibition-level is like a subset of social skills. Good social skills require an adjusted level of inhibition to make people around you feel comfortable. Both too high and too low inhibition are bad and will probably make other people uncomfortable, in the case of high inhibition, bored. Now when it comes to attracting women as a man, too low inhibiti…

That's an insane level of dishonest reduction. Also want to add, some people in this thread are arguing about whether or not and under which conditions this is technically fraud. Full restitution, fine, compensation (also to the real father and the child). Taken together would most likely condemn her to poverty for the rest of her life trying to rid of the heavy dept. If she doesn't pay, jail of course. I also like the idea of putting her in some registry. Edit: Also upon reading the comments I would definitely extend the legal definition of paternity fraud to also include cases where the mother was just not 100% certain it's the legal (but not actually) father's child. …

/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 03:20 AM

An additional point is that the threat of punishment disincentivizes people in the future to commit the crime in the first place
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 03:09 AM

Get a dick rammed in your ass and come back here telling me getting lied to is just as bad… I've probably sustained regular physical injuries in my life that were more painful and damaging to my body than some run of the mill rape. What actually makes rape such heinous crime is the trauma and emotional scarring it inflicts out of very selfish motives

/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 02:44 AM

I think an argument could be made that paternity fraud is especially heinous because, in a way, it's a mini genocide of his line. I agree, the potential opportunity costs are incredible. You can absolutely draw comparisons to murder in severity, imo. Kill a 70 yo man, ok whatever, he already lived a full life and only had like 10 years left anyway. Commit paternity fraud on a 30 yo man, keep it up for 20 years, and you basically destroyed his life. He will likely not be able to find a new wife a…

Agree to disagree on the cheating, I'll not bother with statistics and stuff here cause it's off-topic anyway and like you said the difference isn't big I mean the way I phrased it is pretty crass and harsh but you have bluepilled guys here who responded something similar - women will be more likely to already see it as a real relationship in the early stages while the men don't (and often never will)

For those interested I just did some research: We do have more young women than young men in Germany - in the 20-29 age bracket women outnumber men by ~8%, in the 30-39 age bracket by ~5%. About 10% of Germans identify as homo- or bisexual (with more gay men than lesbian women) In the comment section of the news article, these are cited as explanations for the gender disparity but neither are sufficient to explain it. "Women just date older men" also doesn't make sense because the trend is almos…

Men really want sex but sex is not what makes them attach to a woman. Meanwhile, women don't care as much about about sex but sex is what makes them attach to a man. That's how you get 'situationships' where the woman is getting strung along. The reverse is true for emotional connection which is what women value more but what maked men attach to a woman. That's how you get 'friendzone' scenarios. Ironically, both men and woman fall in love/bond through giving the other party what they want. In a…

But that's an extreme outlier. Not representative for average people who are somewhere in the spectrum of average looks (which most struggling males are in as well). I could now also claim that personality is the most important thing because Tourette syndrom or a severe intellectual disability make it difficult to find a relationship...it doesn't affect the average person and doesn't make much sense. see birds of paradise, penguins with their cute ass pebbles and rocks, and big cats. They don't display boldness in their mating dance, they display competence and physical prowess. I don't think approach anxiety is a thing in tiny bird brains lol so, why should women not want acts of boldness? Boldness and confidence is literally one of THE most desirable traits and what drives attraction and interest. That's tautological. "Boldness is desirable cause it's desirable." Cool.

Yeah this is something I've been thinking about (mostly in the context of a man missing or not responding to a subtle hint and the woman then immediately giving up and thinking he's not interested which is a common occurence) Basically those few bold, confident men act as ambassadors for the entire male gender and they skew women's perception of man. They will lead them to think that "Oh I guess if a man is interested in me he will be super red-blooded and pursue me boldly and aggressively. If h…

This is true and one of the harsher lessons I've had to learn. You can absolutely analyze dating trends on a broad, societal level, but on the individual level it's all very random and vibes-based.

Yeah I think height might be more significant irl when she sees how your height compares to other men live. But online, women will look at your pics and decide if they find you cute; if no -> left swipe, if yes -> look through your profile and if it's interesting enough -> right swipe The scenario of "Oh he's chopped but I'm gonna right swipe anyway cause he's tall!" is just not a thing that happens. And neither is "Oh he's really cute but I'm gonna left swipe cause he's only average height!" Ma…

Oh yeah almost forgot to report back my heightfrauding on dating app-experiment results (listing my height as way taller than I actually am 5'11 -> 6'4) In line with my initial hypothesis, it made no difference in how many matches I got, how engaging they were to chat with me etc. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah pretty much. It's not that tattoos and gym are super attractive (although they are to an extent) but moreso the kind of person that is attractive is also just the kind of person that goes to the gym and gets tattoos. The correlation is the other way around.

Ok I get it, but I don't agree. I think many young men today look down the exact same behaviours and dynamics that were seen under a different light a couple generations ago. Back then men used to "beg" women the same way

/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 02:20 PM

The jester meme got me thinking. The fact it became so popular showcases something greater. A couple decades ago, being given the chance to court a woman was considered an honor for men. Men who were not very good-looking were proud to woo a woman with their wit and personality and self-sacrifice. But nowadays it's seen as a humiliation ritual. More young men than ever absolutely refuse to approach a woman in public. More men want to go 50:50 and not pay for everything on dates. (Younger) Men ha…

Question for women (and men?) who are in favour of the social expectation of men paying for dates but against the social expectation of women being low count (and judged + considered unattractive if they aren't): How does this make sense? How is it not hypocritical? The reason I'm bringing this up is because the arguments posited in recent threads to back up the social expectation of men paying for dates, in my opinion, can be used to justify any one-sides gendered expectation: - "If he pays it …

That's a good way to put it, I've been thinking something similar. There are forums/subreddits about loneliness and depression and whenever a women joined these spaces and said sth like "I feel so lonely, I only have my boyfriend :(" the men would often be absolutely outraged about that and how she dared to associate with them because it's just unfathomable to us men that someone with a partner would feel lonely but to women that's just barely the "baseline"

It really does seem like you pay an attractiveness "tax" when you try to date women online. I've talked about this with other men and it seems pretty consistent that the average women interested in us online is ~2 points less attractive on the decile scale than our "true match" that might be interested in us irl. I think online dating is naturally advantageous for men because it's more low effort and allows us to skip making a first move (approaching) which would be challenging and intimidating …

As mentioned I am 1,82m and I feel average height here and if I strictly compare myself to other young, ethnically German men maybe even a bit below average. But back when I lived in East Germany (Saxony) I felt above average. It's probably similar in Southern Germany though I haven't been there in a while.

Hm, with 1,72m you are starting to approach the 'noticeably below average height'-range (in Germany). I guess it's to be expected that some women might reject you for that. But in the US it seems they are absolutely obsessed with the "6 feet"-threshold which is then basically required be considered of attractive height. We don't really have an equivalent of that in Germany. I think once you pass the 'not noticeably below average height'-threshold at like ~1,75m and above (sorry) I think you are …

I'll be honest, if I hadn't been sucked into American internet forums from a young age, I probably wouldn't even have 'found out' about height being apparently important in dating until much later in life. Another similarity to point out here is that both job interviews and "relationship interviews" primarily assess your interview skills and not 'job-' or 'relationship skills'. One is supposed to be the proxy for other, but it's not perfect.

I've been thinking about this as well. It's the same thing with the #metoo-movement. The only men who listen to this stuff are agreeable, respectful men who would never hurt a fly anyway. Their "don't bother or annoy women"-mindset is now at a level where thry might not even do the necessary steps for completing mating ritual anymore (approaching, flirting,...). We see in the rise of sexless men without relationships. They were effectively removed from the dating pool. Meanwhile, the anti-social…

Yeah I know. But to someone who is very blue-pilled it's quite unintuitive. With how much women publicly complain about abuse in relationships and whatnot one would think they'd be more risk-averse in their partner selection.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 01:29 PM

It's valid and yeah it can be a negative quality depending on how you see it but you could also argue it's a kind of neutral or at least harmless trait because it's at least not actively harmful. So sometimes men will be a bit bewildered because a lot of women will choose a guy with actively harmful qualities over a guy who is boring but at least harmless/neutral.

There's no reason for him to ever pick an option who's not attractive. Exploit the attractiveness-gap for higher quantity, easy lays. First off, chill. It's not that serious. Height is not the most important variable for women's partner choice, not even close. A more interesting question to ask e.g. would be, why there are still introverted or shy men(?) Secondly, genetic variability just exists. Men today are already much taller than ~200 years ago. They're not short, they are shortER than taller men today. The only way to get rid of "short" men then would be to get rid of genetic variability so that every man has the exact s…

I'm continually confused by it because my mother tongue literally does not have an equivalent word for "entitled". There is "to want something". Like e.g. "I wish I had a bugatti. Nah I think more like ignorance is bliss and giving people the benefit of the doubt. But if it somehow were to come out she gave previous partners preferential treatment it's a dealbreaker. (Probably many men view n count the same way). Like you probably also don't meticulously research every potential partner's criminal record but if it does come out they've been to prison for a heavy crime it's a big deal.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 05:18 PM

What if receiving preferential or equal treatment from my partner is a need of mine?

Some women here sometimes say things like "huh so you want to have sex with many women and you want them to sleep with you early and easily but wouldn't this make them 'easy' and hoes and the very thing you/men dislike?" So I want to reiterate: dating is a zero-sum game, there is no silver bullet, and my dating goals are naturally in conflict with those of women and especially those of other men. Under the assumption that n count matters, if I ("general me" if that makes sense) sleep with many w…

/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 03:51 PM

It's very abstract and impersonal, not like anyone is disrespecting me specifically and I get the same treatment as 99% of non-rich ppl. There's also absolutely nothing I can do about it anyway so I'd just be wasting time and energy if I were to "riot".

> It’s insulting knowing that a partner was willing to treat someone else better regardless of what one’s own needs are. Yeah this is the crux of the issue and I agree. If you’ve never seen Hinge prompts or Tinder/Bumble bios talking about men’s heights you were probably on the app for only 5 minutes. Never, I swear, and I've been using dating apps for 2 years on and off. But I'm also not from the US. I feel like this height craze isn't really a thing here in Europe

I have never ever seen a woman write sth about height in her dating app prompt/bio and I've been on apps for a long time. But now that I think about it I only read the profiles of women after I matched with them. And considering I'm not super tall those women probs just filter themselves out lol

Hinge is the one dating app that does it right and severely limits the amount of likes men can send out (I think it's 8 a day), thus forcing them to be more selective. On Tinder and Bumble all women will receive an incredbile amount of likes cause men swipe indescriminately.

This is one of the few issues where even I as a very "pilled" man will always agree. The use of this language genuinely seems quite misogynist to me and there is no good excuse for it. I don't like how culturally accepted it is. But I will also say that a lot of women don't seem to mind this language and even seem to enjoy the fantasy of being ruined/humiliated/whatever by a high-value man.

The height thing is women having anxiety about how they compare to other women. The heights of their male partners are just an easy and visible things to compare. That's my theory as well, I think height isn't nearly as important for "raw, primal physical attraction" as it's made out to be, I think your face and probably even your body type/muscles (and obviously personality) are more important but women just lovee flexxing on other women by flaunting their high market value partners. And height…

I've read the comment chain you're refering to. The crux of issue, as well as I can explain it as a non-native speaker, is that dating (in a general sense) =/= dating (with a specific person being the object in the sentence). Same word, slightly different meaning. If I go on a first date with 100 women then I am dating but I am also not dating anyone.

most people would prefer to date someone they find hot. Of course but imo that's baseline/standard preference that almost all people of that gender share and not indicatice of a "type". In my opinion the moral panic around 'negging'' is completely overblown. The entirety of PUA/red pill is basically about teaching socially stunted lowkey autistic men to emulate the behaviours that socially adept attractive men just do naturally. They use snappy edgy language to appeal and sell their courses or whatever better. So "light flirty banter" becomes "negging". Women in their usual solipsism regarding men don't even realize that men who are bad at flirting even exist. If a men were int…

Yeah it makes sense that personality is more important than looks except the cases where looks are more important than personality. Quantitatively it's more important in more cases so for short I'll just call it more important. You get the point.. Hypergamy in the original sense means seeking mates above one's own "social caste" e.g. you're middle class and hyperfocus on seeking an upper class mate. Women do not really do this and most people just pair up assortatively within their own social league. The manosphere then bastardized the term to also apply to other qualities like looks and it morphed into some weird tautology "women find attractive men more attractive". Like yeah no shit. In most relationships the man earns more than the wo…

/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 05:22 PM
1

Yes but your vote could also be the potential lynchpin that could tip the favour so that blue wins which leads to an INCREDIBLE amount of utility. I'm not doing the math on that but just intuitively I think it depends on what you expect the rest of the population to vote. Majority red? Sure, vote red yourself to not die in vain and keep the utility of your own life. Expect it to be somewhat close like in the screenshot you posted? Better vote blue.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 05:05 PM
2

Yeah
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 04:40 PM
1

Voting red and voting blue would both lead to the same outcome (everyone's survival) as universal maxims. In this case, yes, due to how this specific scenario is set up and only under the assumption that everyone follows their duty to vote red. But it's about the general maxim that is generalizable and applicable to more scenarios and in general, a universal maxim that gives people the duty to act in a way to ensure population survival is preferable to most people. Also, certain utilitarian view…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 04:40 PM
1

"I ought never to act except in such a way that I could also will that my maxim should become a universal law." -> a maxim that universally leads people to vote blue would be a preferable to one that universally leads people to vote red -> therefore vote blue "People ought to act in a way that maximizes aggregate utility in a society" -> in this case voting blue increses likelihood of more people surviving while red doesn't -> therefore vote blue to maximize (likelihood of high) utility

/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 03:53 PM

but there's no defensible moral framework that should lead a consistent mind to vote blue I'm pretty sure both Kantian deontology as well as pretty much any form of consequentialism/utilitarianism would decisively lean to vote blue

Ok today I will actually bless you guys with a high IQ analysis. It's something that's been on my mind for a while: I think that an underrated cause and perhaps the main contributung factor for creating and exacerbating the angst amongst young men regarding women that drives them towards into incel- or generally bad misogynistic headspaces is women's widely-spread and uncontested "desirability signaling" on social media. Let me explain; when a woman posts sth like - "ugggh I hate getting approac…

It exists and other users here already explained it really well. One thing I would add is that I believe there is only one realistic way to get out of the friendzone which is to completely break off all contact with the woman and then reintroduce yourself to her a couple years later. A sufficiently long time period inbetween might make it possible overwrite the first impression and start anew. But moving from friendzoned->lover directly is probably almost impossible.

It's biological of course. Avoid procreating with defective genes at all costs. Of course that sounds pretty brutal so they make up bullshit reasons about how it's "unsafe" or whatever. You don't get to come along and call it "random," it was integral to my point which is disproving the incoherent narratives of the men on this sub There's no "general trend" of attractive men abusing average women, because most abuse happens within committed relationships and most average women cannot get committed relationships with Chad. The idea that women let men get away with abuse if hot and don't if not is completely negated by literally all observations of the real world and statistics. There are a lot of real reasons why women stay with abusive men that have already been observed and studied. "He was too hot" isn't one of them. There are tons of dead women - girlfriends, fiances, and wives who didn't have hot partners. Literally the only way any relationship ends is with a breakup or death, so I don't understand why men t…

I was actually making similar considerations when I had to choose a university for my Master's degree. Ultimately it was between two unis in North vs South Germany respectively. North Germans are noticably taller and more likely to have blue eyes due to influence of Nordic genes. The uni here also has a technical focus so the gender ratio is skewed. So ultimately I'd be competing with more attractive men for fewer women. I went for the Northern uni anyway for unrelated reasons but under the aspe…

Bro where the logic here ? /r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 10:58 PM

Lowkey I actually agree in some sense. But I'm just kinda generally against the cultural tradition of the man paying. It's not really that more attractive women are actually more likely to expect the man to pay if there is an attractiveness-gap but I rather think that men themselves are probably more likely to feel the need to pay if they consider the woman very attractive and worth their investment. And so if you feel an unsually high need to impress or prove yourself to your date, you might be…

Hmm that guy had one exceptionally violent outbreak over an exceptional situation/infidelity (not endorsing his behaviour ofc) and then the woman broke up with him and that's it, but there is no information on previous abuse. The point is moreso that tall handsome bad boy chad gets away with continuous abuse over a long-term situation-/relationship that the woman does not break up.

/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/26 07:18 PM

Decent profile. I'd remove one of the joke pictures (either one) and add another of you doing an activity or being social. In the personal info section, I suggest removing half of it. Giving too much info is a common mistake many men make and it counterintuitively works against them. Age, ocupation, height, that's it. Mayyybe hometown and political affiliation. Anything else is bloat and provides women arbitrary reasons to reject you.

Yeah that's kinda the thing with incels, they only focus on the extreme ends of the spectrum of physical attractiveness. For maybe the bottom 3% and top 3%, personality doesn't matter much, but for everyone inbetween it does and is the main determining factor (though personality isn't abt being a piece of shit or a good person, that doesn't matter for dating). Good for you and I don't doubt your experiences. It's true that men are famously less picky, at least for casual stuff. But this discussion isn't about men vs. women, it's about the difference of young vs. old. So my question to you would be, how does your (perceived) attractiveness/SMV now compare to how it was in your early 20s? If you had to quantify it, are you still 100% as attractive to men as you were back then? Or only 75%? 50%?... I believe the relative drop in SMV that comes with aging…

It's the only phyical trait for the which the following combination of attributes holds true: 1) objectively quantifiable - facial attractiveness is more important than height, but you can't objectively quantify it the same way, for instance someone's 4/10 might be another person's 7/10, subjectivity exists to some degree. Although objectively attractive facial features more or less exist and "looksmaxxers" do a decent job at quantifying them, you can…

The other options are just looking for casual with varying degrees of honesty. Haha fair enough. But many relationship-minded women still do match me even though I personally selected sth. more ambiguous. Another thing is that only selecting "long-term" might completely dispel casual women and idk if that's worth the trade-off.

I think almost all men are looking for the same thing on dating-apps which is short-term with Becky and long-term with a Stacy. So no option would technically be dishonest, it all depends. But yeah if you're attractive you have better chances of getting away with "looking for short-term".

What do you think is the best option to select as a man on dating apps at "looking for X..." to get the most amount of (attractive) matches? Most dating apps have "casual", "casual, but open to long-term", "long-term, but open to casual", "long-term" and "don't know yet what I'm looking for" as options.

Yeah I agree, I always feel cringe and simpy when I use the weekly free rose on Hinge. But it's free so why not. I myself have receceived 2 roses on Hinge and 1 superlike on Tinder from women in my entire time on dating apps. None of them were attractive and convo was even drier/died on faster than usual. Maybe they just misclicked.

You're not wrong. The looksmaxxing-thing has evolved to a point where the main goal doesn't even appear to be impressing women but to rank up in the male social hierarchy by mogging other men. Getting women is just a metric for your success but not the endgoal itself.

Most 30 year old men today are in relationships (and that percentage is trending upwards slightly). Good for them ig, I don't doubt that. I believe the og comment was making a reference to this famous study about how 2/3 of young men <30 are single. My point is just it's not super convincing to say "oh but the older people are just fine and coupled up, so todays gen Z will be too" cause it's fundamentally a different demographic.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/26 10:43 AM

It's kinda disappointing and lame that the old "Women rate 80% of men below average and men rate women in a perfect Gaussian distribution"-OKCupid study has apparently never been replicated or disproven. To this day people argue and debate using the same 10+ years old small sample size survey. We need new data! I know there's data on e.g. Tinder swipe behaviour or whatever but it's just not the same as giving out rating scores.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/26 01:12 AM

Yeahhh but not the degree of current gen Z come on Also you said 30+ years olds, that includes way more, way older people
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/26 12:45 AM

To play devil's advocate, they're from a previous generation that grew up and coupled up without dating apps, internet etc. Let's see what the statistics for 30+ folks looks like in 10, 20 years

This anxiety is not directly logical but instinctual. We don't see a promiscuous woman and consciously think "damn she might be pregnant by another man and trick me into raising it, better back off" (even though it's the underlying reason evolutionarily) we instead just feel "ew gross, promiscuous women give me the ick". Almost all our preferences are archaic and unga bunga, don't act like you have the moral high ground. Women like tall and muscular men even though we don't have to fight sabre t…

/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 04:38 PM

I just browsed the Hinge subreddit (as it's the only popular dating app where this behaviour is possible with paying premium) a little bit to confirm my suspicions and it seems I was right – Many women DO passively wait for likes on Hinge and only accept/reject their suitors. Their desire to be chosen by a proactive man extends to the virtual world of dating apps. If you want your own likes, pay for my premium 🤑 But I get the point, it's against women's interest, superficially at least. I need g…

/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 04:05 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 03:58 PM

I conjecture many women who use Hinge don't proactively send out likes either but evaluate and accept/reject the ones they receive (Hinge is the one app where they're visible without having Premium). I dunno though
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 03:55 PM

Yeah I mean you and the men you seek out are probably just not the target demographic of this app
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 03:51 PM

Yeah probably :p Of course I'd word it differently in my marketing
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 03:50 PM

I mean I'm not trying to fix the entire dating market holistically, of course not everyone is going to use my app; moreso I want to create a little microcosm where the market is "fixed". Stacies and especially Chads would have ZERO incentive to use my app they will always achieve better results with the already established apps. The app is targeted at average, relationship-minded people. looking for their match if it actually suggests people who are compatible instead of pushing popular profiles…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 03:49 PM

Fair. The idea is optimized for matching happy couples, not for making money. I could make the app exclusive and pay-to-use or have the mentioned paid premium option. Realistically it won't be successful because men prefer the dopamine spike of sending out many likes hoping for a hit and women prefer the dopamine spike of receiving many likes.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 03:23 PM

I've been thinking about how to design a dating-app that is more pleasant to use for both genders and organically creates more looksmatched, realistic couples that actually want to date each other. The issue with the existing apps that we need to combat is that they allow both genders to freely exercise their own sexual strategy to the extreme: women and their hyperselective "sniper"-approach and men and their underselective "shotgun"-approach. When they are both allowed to do this, it will lead…
