Yes, this post is about misandry and about how this particular mentality of “it’s never my fault, my ex boyfriend made me crazy” is so prevalent.

The only reason I stay is to protect them from her, cutting all ties is not even an option. I am male, we don’t get custody. Divorce laws are wildly unfair, doesn’t matter.

USA. Divorce just means I lose everything and she gets almost all my income until the kids graduate college.

Agree completely. A marriage needs to be equitable and loving, and the dissolution when it no longer is should be much easier.

No, you are flat out wrong. The loss of third space is something that has happened to everyone regardless of political affiliation, gender, and generation. Those places are being replaced by obnoxiously busy lives, working too many hours, too many jobs, and having very little free time in general. We have replaced them with “minimum viable product” of online interactions and discussions. We treat other people as the Fight Club single serving interaction in our echo chambers. Those we dont agree …

I agree with you that the contractual concept of marriage not needed. My personal belief, being in a marriage to an abusive and narcissistic woman, is that no one should ever get married. She hid who she was very well, and it wasn’t until later when there was no escape the mask completely came off. Now I am trapped in this hellscape with no way to leave. No one should be forced into this situation. The Evergreen nature of marriage contracts are pure horror. Does not matter the sex/gender of the …

I agree, especially parts of identifying toxic and abusive behavior in a partner. I am guilty of this myself being in a toxic marriage with a narcissistic woman, and am now too deep to leave due to having kids with her. Had someone pulled me aside and given any talk about being happy and emotionally safe, and how it matters, never would have married her. Guys look past so many red flags as if it’s a requirement to be in any kinds if relationship.

I remember everyone just telling me to “use a condom and do whatever she wants”, slightly different versions from the adult males and females growing up. No one ever said anything about emotional satisfaction, asking for the other person to do things for you, or what a relationship should be. Only various “if you want it give her everything she wants and STFU”. I think this is part of the reason men pursue women more, we are never taught to have standards.

They have one valid point that I don’t understand, so going to ask you if that is ok. It’s about the complaining part. I do hear/read a lot of woman getting mad at LLM generated content and porn (not including the predatory stuff, we all should be against that) and it usually ends with “but I would never want a man who looks at that or uses toys anyways”. If those men are not desired and remove them from the dating pool, then why complain about LLM content and other toys for men?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/25 12:33 PM

It’s not that they haven’t lowered their standards, it’s that a lot of them loudest, most obnoxious ones are spewing the dumbest shit possible. These girls had to ask to go to the bathroom six month ago and then we act like they are the archetype of all dating. I dated more people than I ever thought possible in community college. It’s a collection of young adults all mostly in a similar situation who are trying to get it together. My ugly ass had zero issues with “you want to get a coffee or so…

Yeah. The reality is the “male loneliness epidemic” has always existed. If anything it’s better now because you can make online friends to hang out with and at least have people to talk with.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/25 12:31 PM

Government force men to pay child support and has for the last two decades. They imprison men for not being able to pay it. Women, though, they hardly ever have to pay it even when men have primary custody and even accounting for near equal ability to earn income. But please, keep complaining about 1950’s through 1980’s time like you are living it.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 11:05 PM

Women don’t do a majority of childcare. Or sick care. Or housework. Or fucking anything. And it is weird, wheatgrass_feetgrass. Almost like those surveys are all done in upper middle class white areas to continue the narrative! It’s almost like nothing you say is true. So when do you get a job with the current administration? RFK Jr would love to have someone with your logic skills on his side.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 11:03 PM

When will women start paying men for that because it’s pretty close to a 50/50 split right now even though men usually work more hours. Maybe women can start paying their spouses for all that free time they take. Or is vacation and paid sick days only a benefit women get because men sure and shit never get days off. Could be dying of cancer and women will call it “manflu” and demand we clean the house while they stare at Facebook.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 11:01 PM

I have known a few guys that do a hobo style life. They will work gig stuff and save up money, then just do nothing for a month and live in their car. I don’t understand it, but one of them explained how even though I work full time and make a good amount of money, we are both going to end up broke and in Medicare beds. It’s just that the government will steal everything I worked for first while he has nothing to take. And it oddly made sense to me. I would join him if not for my kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 10:59 PM

Marriage as a permanent contractual obligation needs to end, especially in the current form where it only benefits the woman. The internet has allowed a magnifying glass to let young men see the reality. Assholes like Tate had tried to sprinkle their bullshit misogyny onto the discussion, but most young men see through it and still realize what a bum deal marriage is for them. You can’t even leave a marriage without financial ruin.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 10:54 PM

Women don’t do any of that in modern marriage, so let’s stop that line of silliness right now. This isn’t the 50’s where women tended to the family. Everyone works, no one has time for all that, and women dismiss any illness a man has a manflu. Doesn’t matter if it’s stage four cancer or a 102F fever, they have manflu and should be going to work. Most women don’t care at all about their husband well being and it shows.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 10:39 PM

It helps me identify the nepo babies in meetings and allows me to dismiss everything they say because it’s meaningless and useless for anything productive. They are always talentless clowns in middle management situations undeserving of their stations.

Yeah, OP is pretty laughable. I am about as attractive as a walrus but never had a girlfriend complain about what happened in the bedroom. It’s not even difficult as a man, just have an actual interest in your partner’s orgasm and a willingness/patience to commit with foreplay. A woman will let you know when it’s go time. Seems OP might not have ever gotten to that point.

I doubt there are any real statistics on this. There would be some on Tinder/other dating sites, but the accuracy of those stats is likely skewed. I wouldn’t know how to set up a grid analysis of the data, would need several data scientists on this one. But we all do know that dating apps are paid and are making things more toxic to keep people subscribed.

It’s because American soil has not seen a battlefield type war in over a century. Us soldiers go off, and not all of us came back. That is what it’s like for civilians. We have only been the occupying force, never occupied. When that day comes it will be a wake up call for a lot of folks. Except the ones who say they will resist will be on the side of the oppressors. The rural and GOP folks will all be turncoats and gladly help whatever force shows up “own the libs”

Also most single moms will never consider dating single dads, the one group of men who completely understands the kid dynamic. I suspect this is the real reason so many single moms can’t find someone, because their “someone” is a 32 year old nepo baby doctor with no children.

Marriage is not the only type of relationship. That’s the point. I suspect you have several buddies that you can chat with or just hang out with and expect nothing from them. Not all relationships fit the definition of a repugnant transaction.

I was backing you up, didn’t mean to come across otherwise. Violence against others been just widely accepted in our society. I would be almost happy if it was just punished, but that doesn’t even happen. There is no effort to prevent or punish the behavior.

My wife stabbed me in the shoulder with a BBQ fork after being angry about having to unload the dishwasher. Cops just laughed at me and said I need to get her under control. There are hundreds of thousands of men who face violent and emotional abuse from their wives and nothing is ever done. Cops not doing their jobs affects us all.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/25 12:02 PM

Violence towards men is largely brushed off and accepted. Men killing men is just seen as something that happens. A wife can beat, stab, and strike her husband and the only thing that happens is police officers laugh at the husband. There are no shelters or safe places for men, and if a man leaves an abusive marriage they lose everything and future income. Violence against women is seen as horrific and society goes out of their way to protect them. All people should be given the same safeguards.

That’s not true at all about relationships unless you are talking purely business. If you want to break it down to some purely conjecture brain chemical nuisance than yes, we talk to each other for dopamine. But at that point it’s so far gone that this argument is no longer even speaking of a human system, rather brain tissue. /r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 02:45 AM

“Yet men have no clue” “Men grew up watching porn” All gross generalizations, something the 4chan redpill clowns do. Your mentality is the same as them. You don’t like sex, that’s fine. It seems you are growing resentful of your partner who is asking you for sex. You either need to come to peace with it, attempt to enjoy it via the deep connection it can form, or allow him to go find someone who won’t resent him for sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/25 03:07 PM

This is dipping into some serious redpill ideology.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/25 12:55 PM

If it were that easy, humans would have died out a long time ago. Sex and love is tangled for most guys, but woven differently than women. We can bifurcate the two but prefer it as a package deal.

I will share my personal story, and this happened a while in my 20’s. Was out for a drink with some army buddies when some girls approached us. They were oddly aggressive, and we just wanted to chill. One of them demanded my number, I told her was seeing someone, and she said “well now you are seeing me. So give me your number.” Told her no thanks, and she proceeded with the usual “what are you, gay?”, except it was the early 2000’s so replace that with the bundle of sticks word. We ate, left, a…

But therein lies the problem with the medical. A lot of times the other person does not see an issue, and instead they see it as their spouse’s problem for wanting sex and intimacy. “It’s your issue to deal with, not mine.”, but at the same time they don’t open up the marriage. And let’s be honest opening up a marriage is just the end anyways. Divorce is an option, but then you lose that time with your children.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 06:20 PM

It’s not always that easy, because there are a lot of problems in a dead bedroom situation that are self centered and hormonal, and the other partner cannot fix. When that happens it’s about the partner who shut off the sex valve willingness to care about the other person’s desires in the marriage. For them, everything is fine. They no longer desire sex or their partner so having no sex is exactly perfect. Their partner/spouse likely still wants the have intimacy. No amount of doing chores and m…

Maybe five or six through my entire life. Have had interactions with hundreds of men across my life during my time in the army and currently. The thing is men are largely silenced on this topic by women. The idea that men are treated unfairly is completely ignored. Meanwhile, those that downvote are the same who say things like “man-flu”.

There has been decades of objectification done by society at large - men are only valuable by the money they earn and women are only valuable by the sex they can give. I am glad the feminism had the moment to release women of the “you are more than just T&A”, but masculinity has yet to have that moment of how we are more than what we can make. Instead we have the Tate’s of the world making it even worse for young men.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 06:26 PM

It’s the same mentality, I am afraid. Redpill XXchromosomes is almost entirely the same rhetoric, it’s anti-opposite sex. If you can’t see it then you are purposefully ignoring reality. It is hard when the normal married guys are talking against marriage. The college educated, working, somewhat successful people who have seen how awful marriage is. People like you try to lie over and over, how we all must be 4chan neck beard Andrew Tate worshippers, except we are not. People get married for the …

You say that as I am snuggled in watching paw patrol with my daughters eating breakfast. Quite hilarious you don’t know how to read. Nothing was against women in anything I wrote. It’s about modern marriage and how there is nothing to gain on the side of men. Women are fine, dating is in a transitional shit state but we will all work through it. The problem is marriage is only beneficial for women in a heterosexual marriage. Men don’t gain anything and it changes the dynamic. Yes, there are smal…

No, your assumptions are hilariously incorrect. I have been married for many years to a narcissistic woman who has gone completely off the “marriage is about me!!!” end due to the redpill women influences from places like xxchromosomes. It’s really not, though. Women in modern marriage don’t provide any those things you say. There is no support, no comfort, “your money is our money, my money is my money”, and there is never support during sickness. Let’s not pretend like any of this happens and is the norm. Women don’t take care of their husbands and only see them as a tool to be used in modern marriage. Men get literally nothing from the institution.

I went back to college after being in the army for a while. While there, made great friends with a 21 year old girl. She checked all the boxes me and seeing her smile and laugh was amazing. One day she just kind of throws herself at me and says how she has a lot of feelings for me, knows it can’t go anywhere, but says we should get naked together. Your friends are likely disingenuous, which is quite common. It reminds me of women joking about sex with their friends while turning their relationship into a dead bedroom situation. Truth of it is, most married women don’t want their husband to have a hobby. They see it as wasted money. After 25+ years of talking to married men from four generations, realized this is the norm for women in marriage.

I know a lot of married women who fit this description. They despise anything that brings their husband happiness and instead believe they should be working for them or doing more things around the house. The kicker is most of these guys work 40-50 hours a week, do most of the housework, and take care of the kids more than their wives. Their wives hate them because they are not earning more money so they can do even less. This attitude is prolific in slightly upper middle class households.

I agree except the “that’s the main reason men aren’t happy now”. Women being able to earn money is not the primary source of all male woes. It goes well beyond that, and your statement is acting like all men are deriving some deep sadness because women have jobs. You should change your flair to redpill, because your statement is some deep redpill garbage no matter the gender.

I don’t think people really get that dating has never been good. There was never a time when you casually walked down the street dressed like Dapper Dan, flipping a quarter, and the virgin flapper girls threw themselves at you. It’s always been bad in one form or another. Look at the classified section from 100 year old newspapers, it’s filled with people taking out ads for themselves to try and find someone. That doesn’t matter at all. A woman with a good career is more likely to initiate divorce. And the man still loses the house, retirement accounts, kids, and most of his paychecks until the kids leave. There is zero reason a man ever has to get married. It provides no benefits, security, or gain. It does give a man the ability to lose everything.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 05:05 PM
7

You might view it as a last ditch effort, but it won’t matter. Your wife can divorce you because she is bored and you have no say in the matter. You just end up losing your house, retirement accounts, and your paychecks because she got bored of you.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 05:02 PM

No one thinks they are getting divorced when getting married, yet most marriages end that way. Do yourself a favor and never get married. As a man, you gain literally nothing in a marriage. Nothing. You lose so much.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 05:01 PM

It’s not even a “I get cheated on” issue. A lot of divorces happen because the woman gets bored and angry that her life isn’t like some random woman on Facebook who married a trust fund baby and it’s your fault she has to do the chores that everyone in the family has to participate in rather than retire at 30 and live a life a leisure. The issue is not the relationship, it is entirely with contractual marriage. The entire institution should be abolished. It has served no purpose other than allow…

Right, FFS. No bias in that study by an institution called “The Family Studies”. Certainly they wouldn’t ever manipulate the data and have ties to some right wing garbage. Stop trying to push an agenda, marriage does not benefit men. It used to, but not anymore. And it’s time we stop pretending. Groups like the one you cited HAVE to publish studies like that to try and convince men to get married because we can now finally talk to each other about what marriage actually is, and it’s allowing men…

No, we really aren’t. I speak to a lot of them, and have known hundreds through my life. Maybe a handful were happy. Men largely don’t have a choice. It’s speak up, voice concerns, and be single. Or keep quiet, suffer in silence, and have someone to occasionally sleep in the same bed as you.

You are putting the cart before the horse. If a man is getting all the intimacy and sex he wants, there is no masturbation. I have had a few relationships like that and it was remarkably close emotionally and physically. However, it’s almost always the other side that slows down when the man doesn’t. So he is supposed to suffer to accommodate the 0.004% chance she might want to be intimate when she is ready? How is that fair at all?

My absolute favorite was going to the hospital, and they asked “do you feel safe at home?” No Then they just laugh. I had one ER nurse look up and she checked the no box. I asked her if it matters. “Nope, you are a large man in a straight marriage. I have seen men stabbed by their wives and say no, and no one gives a shit. Sorry”

Not really. My wife is both physically and emotionally abusive to me. She has struck me several times with pots and pans, and it was to the point my boss called the police. They told me to man up and deal with it (I am a fairly large guy and a combat veteran) so it was one of those “haha, what a bitch” moment. The female cop laughed the hardest. I had a women call me the f bomb because we were talking about stitching up baby clothes and their stuffed animals. There is nothing a man gains through marriage, which is why people are walking away from the whole idea. You are being intellectually dishonest with the trad wife comment. You know exactly what you meant by saying it, like I am some kind of Andrew Tate wives belong in the kitchen. Make no mistake, I have nothing against women. It’s marriage that should be abolished. Only women win.

Any and all of them throughout my life whom I have expressed emotions to except my PTSD counselor at the VA. All of them. And every guy I know has similar stories of women mocking the outward expression of emotion, from laughing at them about a dog dying, to parents dying, to everything. Mom just died and cry to your wife? Nope, she is going to make fun of you AND use it against you when you don’t immediately cut the grass. You all can act like you don’t do it, but you do. Because there is next to zero percent chance this happens. Two guys I know very well have full custody of their children, and the only way they got it was because CPS got involved from the excessive beatings their mothers would subject them to on a regular basis. My experience is anecdotal to my friend group, but most women I know are very much not enjoying dating post 35. The issue is quality, not quantity. If we broadly define “dating” as having offers on the table, then yes they are doing great. But it’s the difference between saying “I am eating” when you meals are some all you can eat buffet with undercooked food or a nice meal at a steakhouse. /r/PurplePillDebate26/08/23 03:52 PM

I will help you out, because a lot of the answers skirt the issue. Something happens when people end a bad marriage, and it’s like a switch that gets flicked. Before then dating was fine, if you had someone that was nice, if not oh well. Once the switch is flipped a potential person has to sell the potential partner on no longer being single. Why they are looking for someone that checks all the boxes, because if you don’t meet all that criteria then staying single is just fine. I will use myself…

Without going the iamverysmart route, the idea was to make this massively complex simulation to push the limits on…

There are a lot of nurses who are not chill, and use their job to circumvent any responsibility for a family. They leave it all up to the dad while they play "hero". They sign their kids up for all kinds of activities, then have to work every single practice time, or all the non-exciting things. Then magically, then dont have to work most games. For a lot of them, its the same hero type job that draws assholes to be cops. Again, not saying all cops/nurses are assholes, but that there is a certai…

I concede to several of your points, and absolutes should be avoided in conversations. I have a few friends that are in your situation where they genuinely love their wife and are loved and cared for. I have attempted to share this in subtle ways, but there is no gain to marriage whatsoever. Everything you can do that is seen as positive in marriage can be done outside of a marriage. There is no need for a contract binding you together. Kids? Home ownership? Entering loans together? All can be done outside of marriage. What marriage does is socially lock you down to where you cannot simply leave when things get bad. Wife suddenly decides to show her true self as a raging narcissist and you ar…

I dealt with this, and came to the conclusion there is no benefit in marriage. Absolutely none. You don’t need marriage to have children. If someone loves you and you need them (sickness and health), marriage won’t make them there for you. If they love you, they will help regardless of a slip of paper. You can buy a home with someone outside of marriage. You can buy a house with your buddy if you want, people do it all the time for rental properties. All marriage means is you can’t leave peacefu…

ABET is the accrediting body for engineering. Most universities have this for their undergrad, but not always for master’s. There is also the matter of dating in your late 30/40/50’s, and realizing a lot of the women want you to have never lived prior to meeting them. They want you to have no kids, no family. This is the start. Taking a paternity test that is non-legally binding won’t hurt anything, and it will give your an idea (and possible probable clause) to look deeper into whose child is this. Before a father signs a birth certificate, there should be a box that is checked “DNA Test Complete”, and if left unchecked then upon divorce paternity could be contested.

I have noticed this for a while, but most single mothers will never date a single father. Doesn’t matter how successful he is. It’s odd to me because when I was going to start dating again, my kids seemed to be the huge deal breaker. Never mind I am an engineer, easy to get along with, and do triathlons. Since I had children, I am horrible to date. Honestly life is easier now that I gave up on all forms of dating. Focusing on my children and my own health is far more rewarding.

A big issue with single moms is that they refuse to date the one group that will look past their kid - single dads. Mine didn’t work out, and so I have my kids that mean a lot to me.
