The extravagant social media lifestyles are often lies. No use comparing yourself to some fabricated story. The ig models you’re referencing don’t show what they had to do to get those shopping sprees in Dubai. Yes, there are women that just wanna be alone. I’m 25 and most of the time, I don’t really want to date either. And I’m not sure what the age for the wall is this time, but women still get approached by plenty of attractive men when they’re 30+. It’s also fairly natural to stop comparing …

Yeah I mean I don’t use dating apps for hookups, so it’s a little different because I always meet them in a public place the first few times

Not sure what app you’re talking about, but you sometimes can on instagram. If you have any DMs with them, or see another user @ them in comments on another post, click on that link to their profile, click on the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the screen, and press block. You could also type their @ in a comment (don’t post the comment) and when the link to their account appears, click on it. This will only work if you know their full username though And you shouldn’t be able to se…

That sounds like a lot of work…probably not. If I was that unsure about whether or not someone was worth dating, I just wouldn’t date them
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/25 04:28 AM

I’ve got a lot more “filters” on just to weed out the weirdos and the liars when using dating apps. I’m just generally a lot more cautious
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/25 04:21 AM

Of course, if the idea of dating is stressful or unpleasant then there’s no point in doing it. I was referring to a situation where a person wants to date and feels stable, but chooses not to out of fear that they still need to work on themselves more. A situation like that could just be perfectionism or fear. Everyone is different though
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 08:24 AM

What do you mean by “dateable state?” I think people just need to be healed and self aware enough to not emotionally tear down their partner. I think growth can still happen while partnered as long as you’re self aware and not codependent But also…I’m the same way

This might just be me, but I personally wouldn’t reveal details about something as personal as details about why I’m in therapy to people from dating apps that I haven’t met in person. That’s something I’d wait to reveal after I’ve gone on several dates with someone, and have gotten to know someone better. Assuming you have done work to change and no longer take your stress out on others, I think it would be wise to get to know a woman more first (so she has a chance to see that you have strong …

The person who said “okay cool, then don’t date those women.” and “Um…any proof it is 95%+ of women? The burden of proof is on you here, if you’re making the claim.” are two different people. You should actually read the comment thread before your next deflection.

It doesn’t matter what proof “the blue pill” as a collective has or hasn’t provided you. They asked you for proof for something you claimed, you went on a rant about the blue pill- even though you’re replying to someone who’s purple pill. So tell me…how is that not a deflection?

She could just have been single for most of her life. Maybe she just wanted casual relationships, but now wants something more serious. Or maybe she had a few open relationships during that time, and wants something monogamous now. Or maybe she’s had a few monogamous relationships, but has a lot of casual sex when single

“N count is just a number” 😂 But that makes sense. I probably should’ve mentioned that the woman with the high n count has no STIs since that would immediately rule her out
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 03:33 PM

Assume she wasn’t a sex worker. Since both of them would have personalities compatible with yours, they also probably wouldn’t have severe mental health problems

lol you didn’t get the sarcasm, huh? And no, I’m not going to take accountability for the lies that men tell. I’ll take accountability for believing them- which I used to do when I was younger. Now I don’t. Hope that helps!

If you had to choose, would you rather marry a virgin only fans model, marry a woman with a body count of 200, or die a virgin? What’s the reasoning behind your choice? Assume that both women are equally attractive to you, and both have compatible personalities. Assume that these two women would be your only opportunity to have a long term relationship in your lifetime.

Everyone has a right to their own (legal) preferences. I typically don’t have an opinion about that unless I believe their preferences are unethical. I don’t think preferring promiscuous women is unethical. While I do have my qualms with the porn industry, I don’t think a romantic attraction to porn stars is unethical

From my understanding, red pill women typically try to avoid red pill men. They tend to put an emphasis on vetting well- weeding out the type of men who would leave them for a younger woman if given the chance

Even most fathers think like you, not all do. These laws don’t exist for the men that love their kids and are willing to work hard to support them. They exist for the men who are intentionally withholding support for their child, and don’t give a fuck about their child’s wellbeing

I don’t know your wife, but that sounds like the kind of comment someone might make if they’re trying to be passive aggressive (unless it was just a joke). Is she upset with you about something? I suppose she could also just have a low sex drive

Do you think if you eventually had your fun, and then decided to get into a relationship, would you still care about n count?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 04:09 PM
2

Wow I’m sorry you experienced that. I hope your brother is okay. I suppose a lot of my struggles also involve mostly constant mental health issues, so I understand the difficulty of having something wear you down each day. I still just don’t personally view romantic loneliness as that distressing. I think if a person has no emotionally intimate friendships, then being single can feel harder though

That would be the greatest tragedy of all
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 02:55 PM

Then why do you care if someone has low n count? Is the issue just that it would make you insecure to know that your partner has slept with a lot of other people?

Which one of those options sounds worse for you, just out of curiosity?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 02:50 PM

Genuine question for those that care about n count in a potential partner: do you ever worry that someone could easily lie about their n count? If you’re dating someone completely outside of your social circle, how could you know if the person’s telling the truth? What’s the point in asking if someone could easily lie, and you’d have no idea?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 06:28 AM

Depending on how destructive my fixations are, I find that reading rage bait sometimes helps lol. Helps to just redirect that energy into something benign like stupid shit on the internet. Anything low stakes and somewhat emotionally activating does the job quite well. Then I’ll do something creative to actually calm me down…or just skip all of that and cuddle with my cats. 100% recommend the cat route actually Video games may help if you’re playing something that makes you happy and eventually …

Well I appreciate you not calling me a liar. I would’ve expected some to question how long I’ve been single, or demand to know the number of dates I’ve been on- to give a couple of examples. I mean I was technically a virgin in my last relationship, so I guess I kind of relate in that regard? There have also been a few periods of time where I was single, and had no platonic relationships…that level of loneliness is really tough, and I do feel for the men who are experiencing that kind of isolati…

Personally, I label the guys that used me as the ones that lie about their intent when dating. I’ve had men take me out on dates, act interested, say they were interested in something serious, and then go back on it and say they don’t want anything serious once I have the “define the relationship” convo with them. Had one guy even say “actually, we’re just friends 😂 If we’re only talking about committed relationships, I’d say a man is using me if he expects some kind of behavior or a certain amo…

I don’t think they’d have to be the best, but if I don’t enjoy the sex, it’s not gonna work for me. If you’re using dating apps, it seems like you should probably just put your height on your profile. I think most apps have that now

No. All victims of DV and human trafficking should have access to care In fact, given that most DV is reciprocal and in the cases when it's uni-directional it is women who are the majority of perpetrators, the deal should also include a 50% explicit and permanent reduction of funding for female domestic violence victims. Do you have any evidence of any of these claims? It’s honestly quite appalling that you really think any victim should receive less access to care just because they’re women. If…

/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/25 01:45 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/25 01:38 AM

This. It’s not hard to tell when a man is just projecting his fantasies onto a woman. All this typically does is push the women who are actually interested in genuine connections away because they aren’t being seen as a whole person, and attract the women who just want attention
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/25 02:35 PM

I clearly stated that the patriarchy is oppressive to men. Do you not understand the ways in which the patriarchy oppresses men? Would you like me to explain that? I’m not going to argue with you about “who is more oppressed”- that would be a fruitless endeavor.

Op argued that it’s either “women are wearing makeup for themselves,” or “women are wearing makeup to align with beauty standards perpetuated by the patriarchy (aka men).” I explained in my comment how women can both wear makeup for themselves, and to align with socially dictated beauty standards: People enjoy things while still being shaped by cultural norms- men included. A guy can lift weights for himself and still be influenced by male beauty standards. A woman can like makeup and still reco…

You’re treating “doing something for yourself” and “being influenced by a system” like they can’t happen at the same time…they can. People enjoy things while still being shaped by cultural norms- men included. A guy can lift weights for himself and still be influenced by male beauty standards. A woman can like makeup and still recognize that beauty standards, reinforced by both men and women, exist. That isn’t hypocrisy…it’s just how social influence works. Patriarchy wasn’t created by “all men.…

From my understanding, sexual objectification involves reducing someone to a sexual object- without acknowledging the whole person (personality, thoughts, emotions etc). I don’t typically see couples sexually objectifying each other according to this definition. You can absolutely notice/appreciate the beauty and sexuality in someone without reducing them to an object

Do you have a study to support your first point? It is intense…which is why it doesn’t happen frequently for most women. Some may not enjoy the intensity, some do. Doesn’t mean it’s impossible You haven’t provided any evidence that the ability to have multiple, consecutive orgasms in a shorter amount of time indicates “less intense” orgasms. And I haven’t claimed that the female orgasm is more intense…I said it lasts longer, on average, than the male orgasm Why is it so important to women to cla…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 04:21 AM

“Feeling good” isn’t an orgasm. I’ve never met a woman who’s had an orgasm, and doesn’t know what it feels like…perhaps there are some who don’t know, but it’s definitely not a common issue. And 45 seconds isn’t mild for women… I honestly have no idea where you’re getting your information from, but just because men have to biologically stop having sex for several minutes after an orgasm, doesn’t mean the male orgasm is “more intense” than the female orgasm.

Could be a sex thing. There are lots of strong, independent women who also like being submissive in bed. It could also be a matter of being exhausted by having to be dominant at work, and just wanting to turn your brain off for a little and be submissive for a bit at home. The height thing also isn’t always related to dominant/submissive dynamics. Personally, I’ve dated guys who are my height, and most (not all, but most) had some kind of complex about it- even something as simple as not wanting…

I don’t see how men suffer from only being valued for their appearance more than women lol Anyway, to answer your question, if she doesn’t really like talking to you, or doesn’t really ask you about yourself, she’s probably just attracted to your appearance. If she acts like you’re perfect super early on in the relationship (before she really knows anything about you) she may be projecting her fantasies onto you because she’s only attracted to your appearance

I think that's definitely sexual assault, and I'm sorry you had to experience that. I also think going to the cops (like someone mentioned earlier) could be helpful protection for you if you're comfortable doing that, this coworker sounds like a predator. If you're struggling to process what happened, it might help to talk to a therapist about it. In my experience, therapists who have some kind of specialization in trauma tend to be well equipped to process things like sexual assault.

Those people need to learn to read literally and ask clarifying questions, then. Actually, they don't need to. The men and women complaining in this situation want acknowledgement from others. The complainers need to learn how to articulate their complaints in a way that will get them what they want. No one needs to ask follow up questions and put effort into understanding the true meaning of someone they have deemed not worth taking time out of their day to listen to. If someone or a group expe…

I said it's still not very likely. The more likely result would be people looking down on the ones complaining that the free will of others is upsetting them. Even though the ones complaining aren't directly saying it, it sounds like they're upset that others have free will enough that they'd prefer a world where the people they desired didn't have free will. I'm sure you can see how awful that looks, and would likely inhibit any real sympathy

Yeah I know. I was saying this example I gave is pretty much sugar babying: legitimately broke women who don't want to lift a finger are demanding a millionaire man and a marriage where there's no equal partnership, and she just sits around and drinks wine

I was creeped on by a lot of older men from as young as 13, and I know this is a pretty common experience for a lot of girls. When I turned 18, it got worse. There'd be this weird fixation on my age, almost like this was as young as they could go legally, but if they could, they'd go younger. It was pervy and gross, and I hated having men, that were literally closer in age to my father than me, trying to sleep with me. So yeah, I'm going to judge the hell out of men who do that because they made…

You didn't, and didn't say you did. I was just explaining that the only outcome from the frequent complaining you were referencing would maybe be some acknowledgement. Many of those women didn't have much of a choice. Women were considered property not too long ago. In places where prostitution is illegal, it's impossible to know for sure if she was trafficked or not, and assuming you're into younger women, you won't even really know if the girl is actually 18. I think it would definitely be cheating. Though those aren't "real" relationships, I think people can absolutely form strong enough attachments to ai girlfriends that it feels real to the person- especially if there's sexting or actual sex with a robot (though I'm not sure an ai girlfriend in a robot body exists now). Ultimately, people define cheating in different ways, so it would be dependent on the couple. I would consider it cheating though

Guess what, girls with adhd are still better at learning than men are in schools. That’s an incredibly ignorant thing to say. Do you know what it’s like to have ADHD? It’s a learning disability. Do you really think that girls with learning disabilities have an easier time learning than boys who don’t have learning disabilities? Just think about that for a second. Proper behavior in class isn’t equivalent to learning.

No. The patriarchy negatively affects men in precisely those ways. It's a shame you haven't heard that before, but it's true. The patriarchy is to blame for things like the draft as well. Men are expected to lead, be strong, aggressive, dominant and protect women because women are seen as weak and incapable. Lack of sexual and romantic success is due to the fact that men and women have free will to choose who they do and don’t want to date, and how much effort the man or woman is willing to put into dating. If a guy wants to put all of the blame on the fact that women don’t choose him, and refuse to acknowledge that they do play a part in things, that’s a part of my loser definition.

I’ve heard from many feminists that issues like increased homelessness, suicide rates/poor mental health, addiction and imprisonment among men are due to the patriarchy (aka. It’s systemic). People in a civilized society are tasked with not physically harming each other- thus ensuring each other’s safety. If you’re lying about something that would make a person change their mind about whether or not they’d want to sleep with you, I think that’s considered a form of coercion. However, there are varying degrees to this. Lying about an STI would be much worse than lying about a body count, in my opinion. Regardless, I think lying to get someone to do something they otherwise wouldn’t do is unethical, but people still do it, and there’s not much anyone can do to stop that

I usually think the person who asks the other person out on a date is the one that pays. I always offer, but in my experience, the one that asks is the one that usually pays. I also would never be offended if someone insisted on paying. I think that’s a very kind and generous gesture. I would never think that’s a red flag- coming from a man or a woman. I suppose everyone is different though

Holding grudges isn’t exclusive to men. Plenty of women hold grudges too. They may not kill or rape people over them as frequently, but that doesn’t mean women hold grudges any less

No, See previous comment of mine: I really think you should go back and read my comments. I’m not sure how else to explain these concepts in simple terms. You’re thinking in black and white, ethics aren’t so black and white. If you think moral neutrality doesn’t exist, we’re not going to get anywhere with this discussion. The simple act of choosing not to cause harm isn’t inherently good. Try to think of it like this: everyone has a number that represents the amount of “goodness” they experience…

To me, a good person is an ethical person. I believe in moral neutrality, and physical appearance would fall under that category in most cases. It seems like your definition of a good man or woman is in the context of being a good partner. Even then, I still think a good man/woman is an ethical one. If by good man, you mean a romantically compatible one, you can’t really create a universal definition for this. Everyone is romantically compatible with different types of people.

What I’ve been saying is that there’s a difference between harming someone, doing good, and simply taking a neutral action. There’s so much more to morality than just not doing evil. If not harming someone is doing a good thing, then by sitting in your basement playing video games, you’re doing good to several billion people. Or, every time you choose not to behave violently towards someone, you’re doing good towards them. Someone isn’t positively impacted if another person chooses not to beat t…

Leaving someone able to be happy isn’t doing a good deed for them, it’s just leaving them be. But like I said, this isn’t a question of dictionary definition, this is an entire field of people philosophy. Philosophy defines terms differently than dictionaries, at times. And even within ethics, there are varying definitions and theories. If you’re interested in ethics, you should definitely do some reading into it, it’s a fascinating subject, in my opinion. It’s not about doing vs not doing when …

Hmm most women will choose an attractive man over a good man and a young man who as it is has very less free time should always focus on the first cause if he is hot then even if he becomes shitty , misogynistic and hurt women they will always fall in love with him. Here’s the thing, you don’t actually know that to be true. There are probably some women like that, but it’s impossible to say that most women do this. I didn’t relate it to wanting men they dated to make a certain amount. I simply said that women have a “biological need” to provide for their offspring, and saying men who “go against their biological need to have sex” by not manipulating women for sex are good men, is just like saying women who go against their biological need to provide for their children by not manipulating men for money are good women. This is a philosophical question that has been debated for centuries. It’s not necessarily quite so binary. This also depends on how you define good and evil- which also varies among ethical theories If we’re operating under the definition of good = promoting happiness and wellbeing, and evil = causing harm or suffering, then the actions of another person could impact me in 3 different ways. It could either promote goodness, have no impact, or promote evil. The way I see it, if someone chooses n…

/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 09:39 PM

That depends on how you define what is good. I think that “good” and “evil” are a spectrum, and that many actions could simply be neutral. For example, choosing between lettuce and spinach in a salad is a pretty neutral action. Choosing not to scream at or hit someone when they piss you off isn’t being good, it’s just not being evil. Showing kindness and empathy towards someone, even when they’re making you angry, is an example of being good. Ultimately, this depends on what ethical theories you…

I think if someone is saving up to buy a house in an expensive city, it's perfectly reasonable to live at home. I find it more of a turnoff if they're living at home with no real plan for when and how they plan to move out by late 20s. At my age, I wouldn't think it's weird for someone to live at home. It shows me that they didn’t really value the friendship- that they were just pretending to care about our friendship so they could get with me, or use me as some kind of girlfriend placeholder. Losing friends like that is sad…I hope that makes sense. you already hav…

That doesn’t mean that the biases we have due to our life experiences are any less damaging. There are a few differences between the behavior of men and women, but there are way more similarities. Fixating on the differences and allowing biases to dictate opinions breeds racism and sexism.

If you have legitimate statistics on this, I would be interested to see the actual average weight difference. Gaining 5-10 pounds isn’t “getting fat,” so I’m curious what that number is. But, my entire point is that grown adult men and women should be capable of self improvement because they have the desire to be the best version of themselves- not simply to get sex (or money or whatever material reward). Parents teach toddlers to do things by giving them some reward when they clean their room, …

I’m not even talking about setting men up with other friends. I’m just talking about going out to bars and helping them approach women. Women are a lot more receptive and at ease when another woman is present- especially a hot one. I used to do that shit for my guy friends all the time

You’re completely missing the point. A grown ass adult man should be capable of practicing self improvement because he wants to be the best version of himself. People can technically do all kinds of things. But to use sex as the sole reason for self improvement is incredibly immature. Also, I’m not sure why someone would get into a long term relationship with someone they don’t trust. If they have trust, a man won’t need to control his partner to make sure she doesn’t cheat- he should be able to…

There are plenty of emotionally stupid women in the world. The reality is, it takes time and effort to develop emotional intelligence. It’s typically not a skill set that people are just naturally born with, it takes work. It’s possible that women are able to do so a bit faster than men because it’s not quite as socially acceptable for men to express emotions. However, if there really is a difference of average EQ between the genders, it likely wouldn’t be a big difference. I think women may pot…

I’m just gonna assume you’re a man here…do you loathe your own gender? Your entire post assumes that men are overgrown toddlers who are incapable of behaving without some clear extrinsic reward. I’m not a man myself, but I believe there are lots of men who are capable of self improvement because they simply want to be the best version of themselves. I suppose you got one thing kind of right. Men who require sex as a reward for self improvement really shouldn’t be in long-term relationships.

Context really matters for this. Emotional intimacy is generally not desired in casual relationships because it’s supposed to be casual. In the context of romantic relationships, emotional intimacy is desired by emotionally available men and women. There will always be people that praise racist/sexist/discriminatory rhetoric because there will always be someone that agrees with it. I'm honestly not sure how that woman got 100 matches a day because I can't even imagine swiping right on 25 men in a day. She's either boosting, or not paying much attention to these men's profiles while swiping. Anyway, yeah men don't have many standards when it comes to who they hit on for casual sex. No real effort is required from women to have casual sex. However, these men at bars aren't typically asking women out on dates. Some do, but I'd say most of the time, it's just for sex...it's re…

No, it’s not. You clearly don’t know anything about S&M- which are acronyms for sadism and masochism. Sadism is gaining pleasure from inflicting emotional and/or physical pain, masochism is gaining pleasure from experiencing emotional and/or physical pain. You can’t logically equate that to simulated rape. Some people may have rape fantasies, but “simulated rape” is not what S&M is.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/25 07:41 PM

Well said. Not to mention that marriage is a civil contract in the US- not a legal one. If cheating was a crime, we’d also be facing a slew of unconstitutional breaches of privacy.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/25 07:36 PM
1

Just to be clear, I live in the US, so I’m speaking from the perspective of US law here. Cheating is obviously a shitry thing to do, but it’s not- and shouldn’t be- a criminal offense. In the US, marriage is treated as a civil contract, not a criminally enforceable one. That means if one person breaks the agreement (like by cheating), the consequences happen through civil courts- divorce, custody arrangements, financial settlements- not through the criminal justice system. It’s not like breaking…

How does it look accurate? There’s nothing that even slightly resembles a proof, there’s not even an attempt to define the variables for men’s time, women’s time, women’s money, and men’s money. It may look accurate to you because it affirms your beliefs, but it’s far from irrefutable, and has no value whatsoever as a mathematical equation or even a logical assertion
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/25 07:04 PM

😂😂 Not how math works, bud. You can’t just pull an equation out of your ass and say it’s true. You have to write proofs, which you haven’t done at all. We can and will *refute fallacious claims

I wasn't talking about rape. Race is pretty irrelevant with rape. I was referencing the fact that men of color are sometimes afraid of walking alone at night in certain areas because of the way certain cops would view them in that situation. I know a few men who have had the cops called on them for simply walking or standing somewhere by themselves. It's a legitimate fear that many men have

The sexual aspect of S&M produces parallels between it and drug usage, where people keep chasing more extremes for a better high. Yes, it can trigger addictive behavior in some masochists. I think there are ways to practice s&m without harming people. Enthusiastic consent is pretty much the key. There are people who don't give a fuck about consent, and I'd agree that's depraved. However, I don't think that's the case with people who practice kink safely. Sadists don't always derive pleasure from inflicting pain on people who aren't enjoying it. There are many who only enjoy inflicting pain on masochists (because masochists enjoy it). I understand that s&m is probably difficult for…

I'm talking about casual relationships. Not people you date. And yeah, some young women like to trauma dump early on in romantic relationships and friendships. Well men could just pack up their things and leave if they're getting abused. Its not like the women's going to be able to outrun them or out muscle them. Come on...don't resort to victim blaming. Women also find a way to leave when they're being abused, but the self esteem of a victim is destroyed by the abuser. Leaving seems like an impossible option because they believe their self worth is nonexistent, and operate under the belief that their abuser will change. This is the case for men and wo…

Yeah I think that's also the case for women getting men (for relationships, sex requires barely any effort). They just kind of have to play the long game. Like they're selling luxury cars to a first-time buyer. I suppose it would also be the same for men who are trying to get in a relationship with a woman who's not that into him from the start

Agreed. I think it also results in serious developmental issues when children are exposed to porn (which is happening at an rapid rate). Process addictions like porn and sex addiction do hijack the brain's reward system (just like substance addiction), and that is detrimental to any child or teen's mental health. Young boys and girls can also end up watching rough sex and s&m without understanding the consent that needs to happen in those situations. This adds another complicated layer of what i…

Most people don't come outta the womb with high emotional intelligence. Therapy can help with that. Therapy can also help someone identify the root of their problems. Some men and women might just be insecure and unhappy because they're not in a relationship. Others might feel that same insecurity for those reasons, but also have unprocessed experiences and trauma that exasterbates the insecurity about being single. In that case, a relationship would just be a bandaid.

There comes a time in every serious relationship where people start opening up about their past trauma, hurt, or whatever else you want to call it. That would be the time to open up about your traumatic experiences- a false accusation in this case. It’s really not that complicated. And like I said, if her trauma happens to be that she was sexually assaulted, don’t bring it up right after she tells you that she was assaulted. This is where common sense comes into play.

No one should trauma dump to casual hookups. If you agree to be casual, then there’s no emotional vulnerability...not everyone is cut out for casual relationships, and that’s okay, but that kind of emotional intimacy just isn’t really acceptable during a casual hookup. The vid OP posted implied that the man did this after a casual hookup, not with her boyfriend

If you’re reducing her to just someone to use for sex, and disregarding the fact that she is a whole human being with thoughts, skills, and worth more than her body, that’s objectifying. I think fantasizing about people you think are attractive is fairly normal. You just shouldn’t let those fantasies lead you to do things that make women feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

Technically, if you’re reducing women to sexual objects in your head, you’re objectifying them. However, if you’re not allowing those thoughts to impact your actions (by objectifying them in ways they’d see, feel or hear), it doesn’t really matter. Understanding how to retrain your thoughts is a valuable skill, and would probably be of use to you in other ways. But if your thoughts aren’t negatively impacting the women you’re objecting, it’s really not the end of the world. I will add that stari…

Of course it wont immediately improve your sex life. The whole point of de-centering sex and relationships is that your lacking sex life would no longer be such a catastrophic issue for you (or anyone else who does it). If I had to guess, I think people give that advice in hopes that it would give a person adequate time to heal and grow. Perhaps you’d even stop referring to yourself as low value.

Men can’t fully control their thoughts, but they can control their actions- like you said. Rape jokes are insensitive and tasteless...similar to other genres of very fucked up jokes. There are many women who have been raped and sexually assaulted, and joking about that experience around someone who may have had that experience is incredibly classless. There are also many men who have been raped too. Making jokes about it around them just perpetuates the shame that men and women who were victims feel about their assault. Claiming that makeup adds 1-2 points to someone doesn’t mean you know anything about what makeup actually does and how it works. Facial ratings are neither objective nor consistently measurable. No one is denying that makeup enhances people’s appearance and makes them look more attractive. Simply stating that in typical cases, makeup doesn’t alter a person’s appearance to the point where they look like a different person without makeup
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/25 10:07 AM

Yeah I know it’s not socially accepted, but I think it should be. And more men could definitely wear tinted sunscreen/moisturizer or maybe even a light coverage foundation and concealer without people noticing.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/25 10:00 AM
2

Yeah I think most people have sex with people they’re physically attracted to. If someone doesn’t care at all about personality with people they have sex with and date, I suppose it would be useless for them to consider personality in those cases. I don’t think I could date or have sex with someone that was physically repulsive to me. I think there would need to be at least one physical attribute that I was attracted to, and their personality would amplify that.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/25 09:55 AM

Well…it’s important to a lot of women (for themselves). Clear skin makes a lot of women more confident. I personally like looking in the mirror a little more when my skin is flawless
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/25 09:46 AM

Girl me too but I don’t think that’s a popular opinion 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/25 09:43 AM

Oh well I’m sorry to hear that. Cheek and jaw fillers are also better alternatives to contouring for those that need it. But that’s true, women do have a greater variety of clothing options. Men can achieve similar effects through wearing colors that are slimming and complement their undertones, and good tailoring. I do think that men should just normally wear makeup. They’d look better with foundation, contouring and brow makeup if necessary.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/25 09:42 AM
1

So they wouldn’t want to have sex, and I’m not at all physically attracted to them? I wouldn’t have a monogamous relationship with him because I’m not asexual. I wouldn’t want to have sex with a guy who’s not attracted to me either. Personality usually compensates for appearance as long as I’m just slightly physically attracted to the person from the start. If there is absolutely no physical attraction there, I wouldn’t have sex with them or be in a relationship with that person. Just because ph…

/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/25 09:21 AM

Shit I feel like I’m slacking now lol. The only thing that is socially unacceptable for straight men is makeup. The beauty standard for men is different from women, and men do have facial hair to achieve things like contouring. But I’m guessing you wouldn’t need makeup with a skincare budget like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/25 09:17 AM

Do you know anything about makeup? I already explained what the male equivalent of contouring cheekbones and jawline is. Nose contouring is unnecessary with a rhinoplasty or a non-surgical nose job To actually alter your appearance in a significant way (where the woman looks like a different person without makeup), you’d need to use SFX makeup techniques (special effects makeup). Most women don’t know how to apply makeup with that level of skill. Like I said, men wouldn’t benefit from eye makeup…

/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/25 08:37 AM

I mean...makeup enhances features and can conceal some blemishes. It doesn't alter your appearance in a significant way. The average women aren't out here doing SFX makeup on a daily basis. Men can have their own version of contouring through facial hair. That can be shaped to create an illusion of a more defined jawline (or hide a bad one), and define their cheekbones. Straight guys wouldn't really benefit from eye makeup or false lashes because neither of those things would align with the stra…

Huh I guess I wouldn't wanna associate with those incelish red pill dudes either 💀
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/25 08:13 AM

Men can dress for their body types, get good haircuts, have a skincare routine, and use the same more invasive treatments that women use (filler, cosmetic surgery). The only thing that isn't quite as socially acceptable for straight men to use is makeup.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/25 08:04 AM

Makeup enhances women's features. Women can do eye makeup and wear lashes to draw attention away from blemishes. Dressing for your body type can give the illusion of a different body shape.

Using a comment section on social media is an idiotic way to draw conclusions about human behavior. Social media is not a reflection of reality. Thinking that's the case is delusional. However, he claimed that women violently lash out when someone says that they aren't pretty without makeup, fillers and surgery. There's no mental gymnastics here, I'm simply stating that you're completely incorrect in your assertion that most abuse victims are simply horny and dumb.

If it's a one night stand and I don't know the person at all, he needs to be: physically attractive, intelligent/able to hold a conversation that isn't dull, charismatic enough that there's chemistry, able to pass the asshole vibe check, not irritatingly arrogant, not tweak out worrying that I gave him a fake number when he asked. And I'd also need to be a little drunk, horny, and in a pretty good mood. I don't really do one night stands anymore, more fwb if we're just talking about casual relat…

If this was true then women would also find fat guys and make them hit the gym. Which is not happening is it? You're ignoring the fact that abuse victims innately feel that they deserve abuse. They think "this is all I deserve," and they hope "I will become worthy if he changes for me." Abusers are not always the most attractive people. It's likely that a person would get into a relationship with an abuser that they were attracted to because...people get into relationships with people they're at…

“I can fix him” isn’t horniness. It’s insecurity. It’s saying “if I can fix him…if he’ll change for me, then I’m worth something.” Women are capable of doing stupid things because they’re horny- just like men. Those things could include sleeping with a guy who they’re not that attracted to, or who they know is a fuckboy, for example. Falling for an abusive person or staying in an abusive relationship is not an issue of horniness or being dumb. Men can be in abusive relationships with other men a…

Otherwise, following simple social etiquette and noticing body language can get you results. Overthinking things like that isn’t going to do you any good. Also liking posts on social media means absolutely nothing. And the majority of men that I know don’t put much effort into taking good pictures for social media. Approaching women isn't inappropriate 100% of the time. There are simply times where women don't want to be approached. If a woman is in the middle of doing something (mid workout, talking on the phone, ordering their food, checking out at a store etc.), don't approach them. Interrupting anyone is just rude. If a woman is walking alone on the street at night, that's also not a good time to approach. If you ask a woman for her number and she says no, you should leave her alone. All of this just r…

You're making a lot of assumptions here...sex doesn't equal emotional intimacy for everyone. To say that casual sex requires emotional detachment isn't a fair assumption. Sex is just an illusion of intimacy, in my opinion, and I'm not the only person that has this view. The thing that determines whether sex is actually emotionally intimate or not, for me, is the emotional connection I have with the person- outside of sex. While some people might compartmentalize in order to have casual sex, this…

I tried explaining to her that men don't want to feel like a downgrade and don't feel desired when women hook up with super hot guys on Tinder and basically see them as the "safe, reliable" option. This reasoning is rooted in insecurity. You would essentially feel insecure about her feelings for you because of her past sexual history. Everyone is entitled to their own dating preferences...it doesn't really matter whether others agree or disagree with them. But, that doesn't mean this way of thin…

Being “led” by someone isn’t a partnership. What you described sounds like my personal hell, but if you would rather be a stay at home wife, that’s okay. You can stay at home, and do all the cooking, cleaning, and childcare if that’s what you want to do. But you can do all of those things without being “led.” You basically described a relationship where you mentally check out, and have your man make all the decisions for you. At best, you lose a sense of autonomy, at worst, you end up with a man…

Once he's been with her for at least a year (ideally more, but a year is ok too), hire a hooker to seduce him and get you some evidence of it. He'll probably still have low impulse control so it should work, and you'll already know his type. Then, you can either blackmail him, send the evidence to his girl, or both. /r/PurplePillDebate22/04/25 03:07 AM

What? Who has a problem with men accepting when women say no? I’m not saying you shouldn’t approach women. I’m just saying that if a woman says no, leave her alone. I don’t see how other women would have a problem with that. Pressuring women into doing things is not okay. That is precisely the bs that makes women weary of random men approaching them.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/25 11:48 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/25 11:41 AM

You’re right. But refusing to accept the first “no” is when things become problematic. If a man respectfully asks a woman out, and leaves her alone when she says no, that’s different from a man persisting after the woman says no, or demanding a “satisfactory” explanation for her “no”
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/25 11:29 AM

Taking responsibility for it is one of the hardest aspects of change. And we all have our moments and seasons of being a “red flag.” Falling deep into shame won’t do you much good. Some very insecure men and women make “rules” that their partners can’t be friends with the opposite sex (or just throw temper tantrums if it happens). It’s super controlling and rooted in insecurity, and the people who impose these rules are often cheating on their partner as well. It’s stupid, but unfortunately many of my female friends have been or are currently in relationships with men who are like this

Yes, I did. 16 year olds typically still have baby faces. Stop trying to rationalize your attraction to them 😂

Never gonna happen. There are more options than just fuckboy and incel. And if we were in some cursed world where there wasn’t…well I can’t speak for all women, but I would rather be celibate for the rest of my life (assuming I was also straight in that cursed world)

Thrillers and horror are meant to scare people. They’re entertainment, not real. Our experiences dictate our fears- not literal movies and films. I was scared of movie previews I saw as a child, but at about 15, I grew out of it because I recognized that none of it is real. I enjoy horror movies and thrillers now. If my television consumption dictated my fears, I’d still be afraid of demons, serial killers, being tortured, dismembered…the list could go on. I’m no more afraid of those things than…

I always have conversations with people before going on dates with them and it comes up then. Contexts and age matter when it comes to employment. If someone recently graduated or is still in school it’s understandable if they’re not employed, but if they’re just sitting there not working and not even looking for a job, I’m not going to do anything with them. That’s just a turn off
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/25 08:10 PM

I tend to get anxious on first dates so I prefer drinks, but coffee is also fine. I don’t expect anyone to spend a lot on a first date. If someone’s taking me to coffee for a first date, thats fine, but I’m also not going to get dressed up like I’m going to a nice dinner for that 😂 I think the women you’re referring to (if they’re people you met and not TikTok vids) maybe just be saying that men shouldn’t expect a woman to dress up, spend hours getting ready, and wear their most expensive perfum…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/25 07:39 PM

Exactly. I couldn’t care less whether or not they drink. I just wouldn’t want to be with someone who can’t be around people who do drink

“we all know that men are most attracted to 18yr olds” Why is it always brought back to this 😂 I suppose the men who only care about a woman’s age (and no other attribute) are settling by staying with their wives. But I don’t think the majority of men have the sole criteria of “must be 18” when dating- that’s very two dimensional
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 03:08 PM
2

Yes. The draft wasn’t rooted in a prejudice against men. It was rooted in the belief that women were incapable of fighting in war, so men would be the only ones left to defend the country in dire circumstances. Still unethical, in my opinion, but not rooted in misandry.

lol yeah I know I used ChatGPT’s to pull some sources and analyze things for a research project. I’ve had o1 and o3 “think” for around 3 minutes in the past, but I was shocked when this took 9 or 10. But yeah, if you have the content from the chat, I’d be interested to see the analysis of red pill. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a legitimate source that supports it in any significant way

Oooh yeah I’m not gonna pay for a dating app lol. Definitely not worth it if all you’re really getting is the bottom 50% of people on the apps filtered out. Not being able to filter by distance is also kind of ridiculous…that’s a standard feature in every other dating app I’ve tried
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 01:17 PM

Huh that's interesting. Was your experience on Raya different from other dating apps in any way? I personally hate dating apps for a number of reasons, but I wonder if the fact that Raya is more selective impacts things.

As an autistic man I often forget that people ask questions that don't mean what they're literally asking. That's very understandable. The "ex" topic with new dates can be a difficult conversation to navigate. My working theory is that she was trying to ask that, and that the reason she wanted to ask is because my language was too expressive and also literal when talking about my ex. When it comes to talking about exes with new potential partners, I think it's wise to talk about them in a neutra…

/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 05:00 AM

From what you described, it sounds like the issue could have been the fact that you said you’d want to visit the country your ex lives in. From the way you explained the conversation, it’s possible that “would you want to visit the country your ex lives in?” was just an indirect way of asking “do you want to visit your ex?” When you said yes, she may have assumed that you’re still hung up on your ex and that you want to go visit her.

If this isn’t to personal of a question…why are you striving for lifelong celibacy? Is it for religious reasons? And well said. Women don’t typically see each other as competition in the way that some men do.

Become completely detached… Jk just think of the most nonchalant person you know, and mimic them. Do the hot and cold thing…it works on most people, in my experience at least. Just don’t be hot or cold for too long, and gradually stabilize once they’re super into you. Don’t let them think they have you- even when you’re obsessed lol. It helps to remind yourself that they’re super replaceable.

I mean, that’s fine. You don’t have to be ambitious if you don’t want to lol. But as someone who is ambitious, I also want to be with someone who has ambition. There will probably be times where I’m very busy with work or another project, and I worry that someone who isn’t also ambitious wouldn’t understand that (and end up feeling neglected or that I don’t care or something like that) I also just enjoy connecting with people who are very passionate about achieving things (or at least 1 thing). …

Balance between traditional “masculine” and “feminine” traits is what creates a balanced and well rounded person. And for fucks sake we don’t need to be “led.” We’re not children. There is no part of me that wants a relationship with some dude who’s gonna both act like my parent, and expect me to cook and clean for him 😂

Self awareness is the ability to identify ones own shortcomings. Attempting to generalize 50% of the human population, and assign "inferiorities" is entirely pointless. Your attempt at doing that for men was also pointless.

Processing your emotions just refers to the overall process of identifying, acknowledging, understanding, and responding to emotions in a healthy way. You don't need to go through this kind of process for every single emotion you have, but it's wise to do this when you encounter negative emotions. Here is a simple explanation of the steps involved in processing emotions. Here is a much more technical, in-depth explanation if you're interested. Suppressing your emotions is an attempt to control y…

I don't think all men think women who are 25-30+ are ugly and undatable. I wouldn't even say the majority are like that either, I think there are some keyboard warriors who say that shit on here, but they aren't representative of the majority. I'm not married, but it's my understanding that most people get married for reasons other than appearance. The love you have for someone will make them more physically attractive to you.

$500M tax free. $1M is pretty insignificant in the long run, and a lifetime is a long time. But I need to be able to invest it so it can grow, and spend it on whatever I want. What's the point if I can't use it to help the people I care about? And if I was given that offer before any romantic or sexual experiences, I definitely would've taken it (still would need to be able to spend it on whatever I want).

Men are able to suppress and move with or without emotion Control their emotions and think rationally and logically Suppressing your emotions shows a lack of emotional intelligence. This isn't control of your emotions, it's avoidance- which stems from fear. Having 'control' over your emotions is having the ability to understand and process your emotions. An ambitious woman is unlikely to want to date an unambitious man. Going on dates with him first would just be a waste of time for both of them. Are you employed? As a woman with strong career aspirations, I would be very concerned if a man I was dating had no career. I would personally see that as a sign that the man is indecisive and apathetic/lazy (I'm not trying to be mean lol, this is just how I would interpret the situation). Being hurt by someone specifying their dating preferences is a matter of insecurity. This is similar to saying "it's wrong for a super thin and toned woman to post bikini pics because it makes some women who don't look like that feel bad about themselves." People don't need to bend over backwards to make sure an insecure person's feelings aren't hurt. Everyone is allowed to have their preferences when dating, and directly communicating those preferences would likely waste less time.

Actually, empathy is feeling the emotions of another person. What you just described is a cognitive understanding of emotions. Empathy essentially goes a step past this cognitive understanding. Having high empathy is not about understanding the plight of the underprivileged. That's easy. Having high empathy is understanding the plight of the serial killer or rapist. Empathy is feeling the emotions of the underprivileged, and the violent offenders in your example. Again, this does require cogniti…
