And there it is, the other bullshit excuse... Men do not have to worry about being physically attacked by a woman after ending an interaction. Men are literally more likely to die from physical violence than women. So a man has never been assaulted by a woman throughout human history? Women are incapable of being violent? That's news to me. What percentage of rape is by a known individual? It's > 3/4, closer to 80-90%. You are significantly more likely to get in a car accident than to be raped b…

It's perfectly logical to put in 100% of the work and take on 100% of the risk. I don't even know who exactly you are referring to here, or if you're still talking about recruiting just w/o the analogy? Because that is exactly what men have always had to do. All I'm hearing from over there is excuses. It's hard, she might hurt my feelings, I might not get everything I want out of life in return for minimal effort. So sad. Awww Target is too weak to chase after you to fill that cashier position. …

Not in regular jobs, my guy. That's not what you said. You wrote, Headhunting is uncommon for a reason. Then used an inane example to justify your excuse. Which is all, and exactly what, it is: An excuse used by weak women to justify their cowardice.

This has gotta be the dumbest excuse ITT. WTF are you on about? Headhunting is common. Using your example, it'd be analogous to how businesses seek investment from VC or issue bonds, while investors seek businesses to invest in via startups or stocks. Source: Myself. I used to be one.

Ah, I see. Gotcha. Fascinating stuff. Another somewhat related antidote: you know how everyone used to believe testosterone just straight up increased aggression? Reading those studies I found that later research shows it only happens in the context of gaining or maintaining status (and/or towards outgroup members). In fact, even acts of altruism were seen with higher testosterone, incl preferential treatment of ingroup members. What's also interesting is how variable it is, particularly for wom…

Yes, I know about being more risk-adverse in general, while some of the effects testosterone can have on male behavior is the opposite. However, increases in estrogen specifically have also shown to increase risk-taking behavior, with both having a small but positive correlation. Estrogen also has similar effects on women as testosterone does for men such as positive mood while low levels can increase negative mood, but it's also the variability (along with its ratio with progesterone) which can…

so the rejection hurts them more emotionally than men. Dunno bout that part. So, in general, women are not only weaker but also more cowardly (whether inherently or societal, can't say for sure). Hence the plethora of excuses ITT, attempting to convince men naive enough to believe them, whether by intentionally lying or simply deluding themselves. This is a significant reason why people tend to not take them seriously nor believe them, which could easily be avoided if they were just honest from …

lol, they will never shut up about this one guy > a dozen years ago, who was clearly on the spectrum, bullied, had mental health issues including anxiety and likely had a cluster B personality disorder. He is feminism’s favorite boogeyman and is used as their scapegoat to delude themselves into not being “safe” in public, an excuse for their irrational (supposed) fear/behavior in order to justify their treatment towards half the population, often by depicting them as violent “incels” intent on e…

Nailed it. It’s almost as if she believes only women have this ability and that men are incapable of experiencing sexual harassment. Or she’s just a stereotypical solipsistic female who doesn’t care about anybody except for herself (and maybe her tribe, but only when it also benefits her).

Well, the majority of the women here ARE. You are literally on an American website, where > half of users are American. Durr durr durr. There should be a program where all Western/American (particularly white) women like you should travel to the Middle East and have mandatory visits living in an Islamic country for a minimum amount of time (at least several months, up to one year), in order for you to see and experience what TRUE systemic sexism and harassment is actually like. Then don’t have kids. Not everyone should; the majority of parents aren’t qualified nor responsible enough to raise children, despite the fact that selfish narcissists feel entitled to become a mother and act like it’s their birthright to have their own personal mini-me(s). Yes, looks like we’ve got another Ms. Holmes here. Men discussing whether or not they’re able to get off of handjobs means they’re all homosexuals. Therefore everyone else discussing this topic in this thread is also automatically gay. Including yourself. Even IF I was, what’s wrong with it, anyway? The year is 2026; it isn’t the 1980’s anymore. What did gay people ever do to you? I thought feminists supported everyone, esp LGBTQ+? Or does that only apply if they have a vagina, and are a straigh…

I must be, truly. Cause not being able to get off of handjobs like a 14-year old boy who just passed puberty, definitely = poor communicator “with zero capacity for connection, then ;)”. That’s some Sherlock kind of deduction right there. I wish you and your (adult?) husband well, then ;)

Nothing they say publicly (RE: complain, whine, and bitch about) as a collective whole is ever in good faith. It’s either an exaggeration (if not a straight up lie) and/or some form of self-serving manipulation to better their tribe, even if it’s at the expense of others (and especially so when “others” = the other gender), usually done through some kind of pity party, where they perform playing as damsel in distress and compete in their never ending victim Olympics. They want to have their cake and eat it too (quite literally for the majority of them, at least in ‘Merica). Meanwhile, the rest of us who don’t fall for their gaslighting know the truth and the real reason women don’t approach men is cowardice. I agree with her. Doesn’t mean you wouldn’t benefit or be happy with someone else. However, WAY too many people are predominantly in relationships or stay in bad ones because they’re so afraid (hell, even terrified) of being alone, and they’re usually if not overwhelmingly women. Lmao. You can’t make this shit up. This is what feminism has devolved into. They’ve gotten so much from society that they’re now bitching about having to ask their partner to do something they want, when he should already be reading her mind to save her energy from being exhausted. Aww, poor little thing. She must be so exhausted! It’s just not fair that some people have such difficult lives.

They shouldn’t have to voice their issues because that too is emotional labor, and it’s all just too much effort which they shouldn’t have to do. Apparently, the reading of minds is a much more rational expectation than communication.

Eh, my experience is the exact opposite. Women here are often so non-confrontational and to such an extreme extent, that they would rather end a relationship just to avoid speaking up about something that bothers them, even if/when it’s not that big of a deal or is solvable. Or, they do this thing where they purposely avoid any new information (willful ignorance) in order to not challenge a pre-existing belief, predominantly something their ego desires to be true. /r/PurplePillDebate26/01/26 04:56 PM

Cute. You can still "get it", and not like it. Such a crazy and difficult concept to understand, I know. For example, I don't always enjoy treating women like shit, but you all can't seem to get enough of it. Not complaining, just wish people weren't so pathetic.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/26 04:54 PM

I see. Those are rather generic, if not platitudes, but I'm not gonna pry any further. One thing I'll point out is not only do women expect us to automagically know what they like, but for some reason they act as if what they specifically want, is what every woman wants, even to the same extent or degree. All this while simultaneously claiming everywhere that NAWALT. While it can be infuriating, it is more exhausting than anything.

Kudos for the person you replied to in being honest (altho one could say the fact that this is even being pointed out by not just me but all these comments, at this frequency, is an issue itself with just how untrustworthy modern women are, esp how what they say is practically never what they actually mean). Sure. Cause the women here are so infamous for being truthful and acting in good faith. Just like that is (supposedly) your experience, mine is the exact opposite. Dude, boomers are objectively the worst generation in American history. Historically, they are literally the first and ONLY generation to have left the country off in worse shape than when they received it. Meaning, the country is in such bad condition that when they received it from their parents, it was actually in better shape than it currently is right now, which is apparently a first for our nation of 250 years. Data is necessary for comparisons but happiness is hard to quantify so the stat…

Can’t say the same for the men who are still single at 40+. You say that like it’s a bad thing.. Yet when women that age state that they’re “happy being single”, (supposedly) they’re some ‘independent career’ woman boss bitch who is totally NOT a lonely crazy cat lady that can’t find anyone (cause “all the good ones” are taken; aka only willing to settle for Prince Charming who is way WAY outta her league). Omg yes. This a thousand times. The most annoying aspect is how the overwhelming majority of them believe their specific unique preference is apparently universal, supposedly known by everyone, is common sense, and shared by ALL women, even when it’s an opinion or something personal like taste, dependent on each individual, and is often objectively subjective. Most women treat bisexual men worse than. So gay people fear the bisexual will eventually want passing privilege with an opposite sex partner, while straight people assume the bisexual is a dirty whore who probably has AIDS. That sucks. It’s white people; > half of white women voted for Trump, but you’ll rarely hear people acknowledge this fact in public or even the media, for that matter. Unfortunately, this is esp true when it comes to predominantly credible newspapers like The NY Times and the Washington Post. The reason for this is because the legitimate media sources in this country are located on the east coast, where the majority of political journalists (often WASPs) are white liberal women. https://www.pewresearch.org/…

Anything women don’t like (usually cause it makes them look bad, esp so when it comes to the truth of their nature) is incel behavior. This (any form of emasculation, ie: “small dick”) is like literally their only insult, practically every single time. So if a man and woman work the same job within the same city, the women gets paid less than the man??
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 03:36 PM

Not to mention the fact that the gender pay gap is a myth and this lie has been continuously perpetuated by feminists. Meanwhile, women just repeat whatever the next supposed injustice (flavor) of the month is that will grant them their beloved victimhood status, manipulating society (ie: public shaming) in order to parlay this victimization into resources via social currency (all these programs, laws, grants, and NGOs which are tax exempt and only benefit their own gender) so they can extract m…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 10:28 AM

Ofc not, women aren’t responsible for any of their own decisions when the result is unfavorable. They also have no agency because obv they’re just damsels in distress, and these poor women are just victimized victims who have absolutely no agency whatsoever, whenever shit hits the fan. The same women are also “equal” and empowered “survivors” of “trauma”, esp when their bad boy deadbeat husband (which they clearly didn’t choose) beats the shit out of them.

So much so that the rich have found a way to exploit the system by manipulating all the naive, (supposedly) religious, and uneducated fools into voting against their own interests in order for billionaires, to pay even LESS taxes than the poor and middle class do. The best part is how they achieve this: by taking away the healthcare of the most vulnerable people in society, those with chronic illnesses and other disabilities (often through no fault of their own, outside of being unlucky and losi…

It’s the ‘men trick women they’re dating into having sex with them’ rhetoric females use to fool themselves into believing as the sole reason for why a man they slept with didn’t result in a boyfriend. This also serves as an excuse to absolve them from any form of accountability (just as usual), so they can blame the biological sex drive innate in males due to testosterone as some kind of personal fault, rather than looking inwards and working on themselves for any potential improvement (or thin…

At what point does accountability for poor vetting become a factor if ever? What markers are traits were being used to determine that this person would make a good father? The rest is up to character and overall behavior, which can easily be determined by the answer of whether they are a criminal, or not. Priority is based upon the seve…

Pretty much this. This is fundamentally the common denominator in some shape or form for practically every argument related to the gender wars of the last decade: Women claiming equality and empowerment (cringe) while still wanting and expecting the benefits of being a damsel in distress. They want to have their cake and eat it too, basically choosing whatever is most advantageous for them in the current situation or opportunity at that moment in time, whether it’s an “empowered” equal or victim…

Sure. People are disingenuous and literally screw each other all the time. If you’re worried about getting raped, then don’t walk outside in public. If someone doesn’t want to accept the possibility of getting raped, then don’t go outside. Full stop. Right. He doesn’t, until he’s expected to and legally forced to support it. I agree. Except in cases where they both decide and agree to raw dog it beforehand and the woman doesn’t take the pill w/o letting the partner know, or she does but it happens anyway, then she either changes her mind after the fact or simply chooses to NOT perform whatever is necessary to prevent a pregnancy.

How tf am I supposed to know whether you like rough sex or not?? Or know what exactly you “xall” good sex even means? I truly don’t know if you’re actually THAT unaware and solipsistic, are backtracking, or if you’re simply…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/25 04:54 PM
1

Well, considering that’s literally the first time you’ve even mentioned it’s “the type of sex I enjoy”, yeah, it is difficult to understand, since I can’t read your mind (a simple concept, yet one which women still fail to grasp, even in 2025). Technique does not necessarily mean “type”. Words to describe the latter could be anything from rough sex to passionate, kinky, vanilla, or role play and even dom/sub, which not only overlaps but is starting to venture into BDSM territory as a whole.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/25 11:41 PM
1

So lemme get this straight: outside of technique, which all pornstars have, you still can’t explain nor describe what separates him from others. Not only that, but you stated that “the things I would let that lizard armed, alphabet legged man do to me are insane”, about someone you do NOT even find physically attractive???
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/25 08:48 PM
1

Lmao. You can’t even explain why you find this hobo looking lizard attractive (whose tattoos are so hideous they make him look like a fucking moron) — so much so that the things you’d let him do to you are insane — or describe what separates him from other pornstars who obv have the skills + good technique.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/25 08:37 AM
1

…tl;dr green lizard = tattoo = bad boy = hot
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/25 06:51 AM
1

And yet somehow you still can’t even come up with one single reason (beyond technique) as to why you’d let the lizard man do “insane” things to you, and for some reason you’ve failed to answer this painfully simple question.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/25 06:06 AM
1

what in particular about the green lizard makes you wanna flick your bean (since obviously all pornstars have good technique)? Now I’m sure you’ll try to change or put some spin on it to save face, but we both know there is little beyond: green lizard = tattoo = bad boy = hot.

Not sure if you’re playing dumb or not but for the record, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt (despite regretting it literally every single fucking time I’ve done so on this subreddit). The fallacy is acting as if my argument has anything to do with technique in the first place. Instead, it was simply referring to what in particular about the green lizard makes you wanna flick your bean (since obviously all pornstars have good technique)? Now I’m sure you’ll try to change or put some spin on…

This is such common sense that the only logical conclusion that can be deduced is that she is obviously and very clearly arguing in bad faith. /r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 12:52 PM

No, it's not. A man will tolerate a hot woman despite her amount of "crazy", not because of it. Also, woman = "crazy" is often bad personality or BPD. Man = bad boy is often a criminal, convicted felon, mass murderer, serial killer, with ink all over (some of the most hideous tattoos you'll ever see in your life), gang member, or basically any POS who should be incarcerated and often is... Yet somehow, that still doesn't stop 4000 women from lusting over him.

Nope. In these situations, it's more likely that if a man is in a relationship with a woman who is "crazy", it's because he was able to pull someone above his female equivalent in looks. Essentially, she's hotter than all his exes and past relationships, so he's willing to put with more "crazy" than usual, specifically because he's not used to being with woman that hot. Like sometimes women are worse than republicans with the cognitive dissonance lol Was just thinking that and frequently do on this subreddit. You can try to reason with them in good faith like a normal person, but I almost always regret it immediately. They're so sure of themselves (ignorantly arrogant?) and dismissive if they know you have a penis, it really is like trying to have a conservation with a Trumper.

As a guy, you either need to be on the chad level or be paying. We can't even do that, at least in 'Murica. Women won't allow for it and will vote against it, cause they know it affects their pussy privilege.

Sounds like you kinda agree w/ me, but for some reason are stating that you don't. Ofc men are emotional; unless you're an actual psychopath or a full-blown narcissist, ALL humans are. Some more than others. However, this mastery of expressing emotions you're talking about is more of a societal result, IMO. One which we've been conditioned, selected for, and raised to be. I think the reality is that most men are not very emotional in general, so women only have experience dating guys who seem closed off (because most men are). I think the reality is that most women are attracted to men who aren't very emotional in the first place, as evidenced by nearly every single reply in this thread which has mentioned how they're used to men not showing emotions (and because we know what happens immediately once we do).

If you don't wanna talk about it, then don't comment about it? One, I can socialize with whoever tf I want to. Two, I know the women, not the men. They're likely even worse than they describe. Lmfao. You’re a “strong, empowered woman”, but everything happens ‘to you’. You act like a PoW, as if you have less agency than a captive animal. We’re supposedly equals until it behooves you to be a damsel in distress from the 1800’s, so you can also enjoy the privileges of being unequal (inferior), which is when you get to play your beloved poor helpless, hapless, innocent “victim”. How convenient. A man in a relationship who pays for literally everything (this is equal..?) finds out his partn…

I mean, you created this post not me. If you’d rather complain about your lack of success with women, rather than actually improve it, that’s your prerogative. What you just sarcastically asked is a fallacy, altho i forget which one. Just cause something doesn’t work, doesn’t mean the opposite actually does.

Bro, I sense some “nice guy” vibes based on what you wrote in this comment. Women HATE that guy friend who is nice but doesn’t reveal his intentions and then all of a sudden wants something more, eventually trying to push the relationship from a platonic to sexual one.

Eh.. maybe superior in STEM but as someone who graduated from a university whose demographics included approximately 50% Asians (mostly Chinese, and FOB af), not exactly. Even if we’re talking about IQ, their social intelligence and EQ.. how do I put this kindly.. doesn’t exactly scale or correlate, in the same way? That would be putting it mildly. More like they need to know where these criminals exist… in order to seek out these bad boy serial killers and get impregnated by them. Then once they’ve been kicked to the curb (figuratively if not literally) after getting pumped and dumped, they’ll complain how men = bad and bear = good, still wondering (yet simultaneously blaming) how men make up the majority of criminals, w/o a hint of irony. Hence their complaints of “unpaid labor”: no one is willing to pay for incompetent work which is wha…

Yes. Some of the ones I’m talking about are clearly women, defend women only, hate against men, or will even use “we” and basically don’t seem to put much effort in hiding it. Others will be vague and not use pronouns but again seem to always defend women and have no qualms shitting on men. Those are the ones I usually see and am mainly talking about. But the OP’s entire post is based on the fact that modern feminism blames men for all of their supposed problems (basically every and any person except for themselves), including “toxic masculinity”, which they’re always complaining about yet ironically and hypocritically are undeniably attracted to. Alpha fucks, beta bucks.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/24 07:01 AM

Not really, maybe in some cases but that is the supposed definition according to what feminists say, irrespective of what they actually do, aka reality. I’m not entirely sure what exactly your point is, outside of manipulating what I said in order to absolve women from any sort of responsibility in an attempt to change the narrative.

lol, there are multiple women under the guise of a male flair that are regulars here. It’s not implied either; by “male flair”, I mean a flair that literally (and unquestionably) states their sex in it like ‘Blue Pill Man’, or something to that effect. Haven’t seen a complaint or even comment about it, let alone one from another woman.

Women can’t imagine nor even possibly conceive that any group (especially men) can be or is more of a victim than they are. Men do this too, but not nearly as much as women and it’s not even close. EVERY fucking time anyone points out an obvious fact that their group or sex has it worse, the floodgates open and you will have dozens of poor damsels in distress crying and deluding themselves into being the most victimized victim ever in the history of victimhood. Exactly. This whole rhetoric is hard to take seriously when coming from women. If anything, it seems like deep down inside they know they are attracted to “toxic masculinity” (maybe unconsciously). It seems like they hate this and are embarrassed of the fact that a significant amount (if not the majority) of their complaints about men are due to the fact that they like dominant men, including narcissists and psychopaths. Opt in? It’s not a privacy policy. My point is women choose whether or not to get pregnant (to the extent that we can control as humans with the options we have as contraception isn’t technically 100% effective). Even if an unplanned pregnancy happens, there’s still options the day after and so on. Obv abortion should be legal and we need to overturn Roe v Wade, but that’s another topic. Depends on the jurisdiction. In the UK, rape is only a crime if the victim is penetrated w/o consent. Essentially, a woman can force a man to have sex with her but according to their statute, she cannot be charged because that isn't considered rape and therefore isn't against the law.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/24 06:06 AM

How are these murderers, rapists, and criminals being born: who is giving birth and raising them? Who is selecting the genes, whether it's a'deadbeat' husband and/or absent father? Who gets to decide whether a woman gets pregnant, and ultimately who is the one that determines whether to give birth to a child or not?

tl;dr Whatever benefits them = feminism in the name of equality. Whatever doesn’t (or more importantly, benefits the opposite sex) = sexism in the form of misogyny. Something something patriarchy. Victims are only female, cause they are the only ones allowed to play victim, ergo women are the most victimized victims who’ve ever been victimized in the history of victimization. Yay feminism.

It is. I love latin culture and Latinas are consistently a much better option than the stereotypical materialistic white girl raised on Disney fairy tales and white picket fences. They’re more respectful, embrace an ‘equal but different’ mindset concerning gender thus are more egalitarian, age significantly better, don’t let go (much more likely to become milfs), and on and on. They can be intense, but practically every other country in the world has better prospects than what the typical Americ…

Or how your gender somehow always seems to end up with a man who beats the shit outta them, yet they can’t help but keep coming back for more. What about failing to keep your legs closed for a man whose child you don’t want or simply using the proper contraceptives so you don’t end up knocked up and relying on the financial assistance of others to raise your mini-me. This is part of my endgame; making sure society acknowledges this fact and not just for eligible bachelors either, but so that boys and young men are taught this at a much earlier age while still young. The most critical age in human development is from birth to five years old. Fathers need to teach this from the onset to prevent future generations from living through the mistakes of their ancestors. Thing is, female loneliness has kinda become extinct. It has. Well, at least until that specific narrative doesn't benefit a certain demographic anymore. Then, a few weeks later when another discussion in the never-ending gender wars debate comes up, you'll notice how all of a sudden, that same argument doesn't exist anymore! In fact, now it's actually the opposite. It just so happens that this time, it's no longer advantageous... Coincidentally, ofc.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 03:44 PM

I’m not really sure why you think that not only are black women’s issues equivalent alone are equivalent to ALL other races combined, but even more important. That is literally racism. Unless ofc, in your mind you actually believe PoC can’t be racist.

Not only are you ignoring the obvious facts from the data and arguing in bad faith, but holy fuck you’re delusional. Look at how racist all women are, and especially white women. People can be not attracted to a certain race, but that is not the same as considering every single race that exists as unattractive, except for white men. It’s quite disgusting and simply pathetic.

That’s great. As already mentioned, the relationships between friends when one of them gets married and has kids while the other is single, goes to the shitter > 90% of the time. It’s literally happened to every single one of my (and my close friends’) friends that are now married with children. Not everyone is obsessed with marriage and babies.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/24 07:29 PM
1

Well, if I’m being honest, the majority of male friendships die once one of them gets married and especially so if the other is single. Sure, you’re still cool with the person, but you practically never see them again. If so, it’s like a 1/5 of the time at best, but once they have kids it’s game over and becomes more like a 1/10 or 1/20 of the time, if not less.

Maybe in theory, or a vacuum. That being said, the first sentence of your 2nd paragraph completely contradicts the first one paragraph. I do have to push back on your assumptions or belief as to why a lot of people choose not to have children. This is sad. ‘Murica needs to wake the fuck up. Overturning Roe v. Wade has gotta be one of the dumbest decisions this country supreme court has made and enacted on its own people. It’s a self-inflicted tragedy that is objectively bad for everyone on all fronts: morally, medically, and individualistically (if that’s a word).
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/24 05:39 PM

Bruh, having kids is one of the single most selfish and self-serving acts a human being can ever do. The fact that you believe NOT having kids is selfish and that procreating is selfless, is asinine (and absolutely sounds like projection). Just because you considered YOUR personal reason for initially not wanting kids as selfish doesn’t necessarily mean that they actually were/are, nor is everyone even gonna have the same reasons as you did when younger in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/24 05:17 PM

What the hell is wrong with you? C'mon man, do you NOT understand the literal torture that western women have to suffer through? Don't you know how hard it is to be the literal majority in this country? Haven't you watched Barbie (don't tell me you didn't, cause I know you did!). Unlike men, women don't get to coast through life like some privileged minority trust fund baby. They're forced into marriage for breeding, by men, just to push out a couple of Mini-Me's (the patriarchy, ofc; they're ob…

You could like, not be attracted to abusers, and own up to the simple fact that your gender is attracted to assholes? How about taking accountability for your actions and shitty taste in men for once in your god damn life... or is that too much of an ask of a poor damsel in distress an equal?

Ok.. so just another illegitimate excuse for women being a POS friend (but only towards males, so its not real sexism)? Huh? It doesn't happen because male friends actually reciprocate the favor (and just so we're clear, I do not mean we suck each other off or expect a handy in return).

I'm not sure I entirely follow. Are you saying that because women believe all male friends are supposedly orbiters solely expecting sex in return that this is why women don't reciprocate favors like helping friends move out?

It’s not that hard to be a decent friend Precisely, which is what makes all the disturbingly consistent behavior reiterated here by men who have seen and experienced it ad infinitum, all the more damning of women and their character (specifically, the lack thereof). However, I'm sure your experience seemingly proves otherwise, just like it always conveniently does.

And the overwhelming amount of universal experiences, from literally HUNDREDS of different posters, from numerous countries, with practically every single one of them having and stating nearly the exact same experiences, across the board, with female "friends", throughout their entire lives??? THAT... is telling.

Agreed. Only after the sex (and enough time has passed) does the mask start to actually come off, where both can truly speak freely and w/o pretense. Almost like that trope where the fear of public speaking (supposedly) goes away once you've imagined seen your audience buck nekked.
