Fear and approach anxiety. It makes a lot of sense, but I feel like it's going to way favor extroverts over introverts! There are real differences in capacities here. So, in one of these comment dunno if its from this thread or another one this dude mentions approaching someone at the gym kinda looks like he did it within 3 seconds from the story he told. He really hamstringed himself with what he ended up saying, like no chance of recovery whatsoever cuz he pretty said "I think you're really beautiful do you wanna go to … | /r/seduction | 11/01/21 01:21 PM

I feel shame after cold approach?Yup. It’s an emotional response cued out of school. Basically a false emotion. But the feel is unfortunately as real as when it’s cued functionally. You have to actively tell yourself that emotions evolved to subserve effects but that shame among stranger NPCs is just miscued. Those ppl have little efficacy over u (unlike ur kin and effective community whose appraisal of u has real consequences). Meds actually help this dimension of social anxiety quite a bit but for me they don’t help with what… | /r/seduction | 31/10/19 03:30 AM
I feel shame after cold approach? This is a maladaptive response. Shame is an emotion evolved for kin or community members you interact with regularly. Those NPCs at the subway are not a part of your kin or your effective community (ppl u interact with regularly whose appraisal of u actually matters) | /r/seduction | 31/10/19 03:25 AM
I often notice girls looking at me, how do I proceed? So looking back is not enough. U have to smile a bit to signal That it’s well received. | /r/seduction | 15/11/18 04:12 AM
Children with Older Fathers at Increased Risk For Mental Illness/Genetic DiseaseTrue story. My dad was 35 and was a drinker which I think also increases it further. I got social phobia, generalized anxiety, dysthymia, depersonalization, and probably some autistic traits. I think my mom also smoked during pregnancy which is also a riskIIRC | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/09/18 01:55 PM

CMV: People Don't Really Change. Their Circumstances and Surroundings Change.People don't change unless there is serious psychological stress, (like going to prison over a drug addiction issue, just as an example, but even then, statistically, more than half go back to jail after release), or because of age, or brain damage. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/03/17 04:38 AM
How would you define an alpha?Alpha's in short are concerned territorial dominance, whether over their mates, over their property, or whatever else, and they like being overt about this. Flashy and materialistic. Tends toward extraversion at the healthy end and sociopathic or narcissistic at the extreme. Beta's envy alphas but just are not efficacious at it. Gammas don't give a fuck about any of this shit. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/03/17 12:45 AM

Why Does This Work? [Online Dating]reminds one of those meme posters: society thinks i am _, my parents think i am _, i think i am __ i dont think its any more complex than people display what they think portrays themselves in a socially positive light. | /r/seduction | 01/11/16 06:28 PM
Where to meet girls for shy guys (without having to go to a club or bar)in my experience, you are. i honestly think the only people ever into me had mental illness or were 'neurodiverse' in ways that made them unsuccessful or socially marginal. | /r/seduction | 23/07/16 09:34 AM
Where to meet girls for shy guys (without having to go to a club or bar)there's probably a very very small stratum of women who appreciate this kind of brutal truth. there was a borderline girl on fetlife who was into my intense but dispassionate mode exposition. but it wore out fast when she saw that this was my principle MO, that otherwise my life was in organizationally dyslexic shambles. | /r/seduction | 22/07/16 06:49 AM
