I to go through the South east Asian vs Arab debate as a Pakistani. Since you know they're all in the same place. /S

This whole thing reminds me of the time my former abuser left me with no shoes deep on a forest service road about a 20 mile walk from town in just a cotton dress. We were fighting and I was hyperventilating so I parked the car and got out for a breather, but I left the car on so he just jumped into the driver's seat and took off. I spent two hours walking with bare feet crying and praying that someone would drive down the road and find me. But he came back two hours later and I just jumped in t…

At this point it's 100% about her loving the daughter. They have a really good bond and she can't bring herself to leave her. Even her wedding planning is almost exclusively about making the wedding fun for the daughter.

Just dropping off the story of an acquaintance of mine. Was friends with her fiance when he was single, and genuinely thought he was cool. He started dating her and I was put off by the 17 year age difference, but apparently she's into "mature guys" and really liked his kid. Then they move in together and she's literally not allowed to enjoy normal things a 21 year old girl would like to do because now she's a step parent... Then he starts cheating on her with his ex, but she can't leave between…

Right? I almost replied well break up with her and I bet 100% she'll be fine... But what I hate most about these posts is they draw out the pickme's in mass. All the women who are like, my boyfriend treats me like shit but I would never go to FDS for advice because they're sexist against men. It's almost like those shitposts are made to draw out that kind of response because they always get the most up votes.

He owes the government $2500. But it's not the end of the world for him because he's always had a hefty inheritance to fall back on in times of emergency. He's also not on disability but he's going to lose his insurance due to all of this.

It makes a lot of sense though because so many people get gaslighted into thinking they're in the wrong when they clearly aren't.

I do just want to point out that a HVM from a working class background or who grew up in poverty would have done the work to level up, earn enough to be a good provider, and have already dealt with his insecurities, trauma, and the poverty mindset. If a man hasn’t done those things, it’s not because he’s poor or working class, it’s because he’s a LVM This a million times. Dated rich and poor, came from a low income background, it's about the work people are willing to do on themselves.

I think the thing that got me most is that he STARTED the post talking about how she wasn't interested in him at first, and he still resents her for it.

Agreed. Watched it and lolled over all the FDS language she used. Iliza if you read this, your movie was awesome and way to turn a shitty experience into something amazing.

Me too. The best consistent sex I ever had with a guy he was maybe medium sized (?) But his dick curved upward just slightly and he could just get my spots like nothing else. Like he just knew how to use the thing and get me going. But big dick guys? I usually have to take some ibuprofen the day after and that's less fun for me, I don't like painful sex.

It's true, men just don't read. Or when they do they're reading to confirm their own biases. That's why men struggle so much more in higher education because they've been conditioned their entire lives to believe that their beliefs are next to God.

FDS helped my friend by proxy as well. I got out of a relationship with a NVM bottom feeder and suddenly get to live my life EXACTLY how I want to. I have money, trajectory in my plans, and most important lots of me time now that my ex's family watches our kid on the weekends. On the other hand her and her husband live one of those looks great from the outside lives. And they are really great in many ways (too many to get into here), but because their family business is owned by him he dictates …

It might sound silly but I'm proposing that we call LVM's that want you to give up on your dreams for them Nates. He Nated her. She was so great before she ended up with a Nate... Don't let a Nate get in the way of your career...

That is such a great way to talk about changed perspectives after FDS. I think my most downvoted comment was on a sub about mortified people where a wife turned off his PlayStation after standing next to it with the threat for a good 10 seconds. He responds, "It's all I have"... In the background you can see that it was mother's day and there was a celebration. Men and women alike were like, just let your partner have his fun, I don't like video games but I let my boyfriend play as much as he wa…

Oof this post and subsequent replies were hard to read... I'm a single mom with a boy and he is my world. The thing about parenting is that the biggest fears are the things you can't control. Yeah you're scared of raising a boy that could be a misogynist/narcissist, but the fear of raising a girl is she could be a pick me, or get hurt by a man and you couldn't control or take care of the situation or equally being a total monster (their not as societally acceptable as male monsters but let's not…

Yeah but paying is a simple gesture to suggest that you are worth spending money on. Those risks of all the other things are still on the table, but paying for dates is at the very least a way to show you're worth being wined and dined. If you split the bill from the start than you're vetting different things, he's trying to see how low he can set the bar from the start, and you're trying to prove a sense of independence. Don't start on a low bar and be sure to look out for other red flags.

It's psuedo rage porn. Let's face it both sides like to be angry and if you throw around the right buzz words with either group you'll give them a giant rage boner. This is something that gets both groups riled up, policing women's choices about their partners. FDS makes them angry because the rules show that there isn't a political party that represents healthy relationships or families, they just represent two opposing sides of male interests, all in the guise of morality without larger conver…

Exactly, this whole misinterpreted projection that FDS ladies are female incels or just want a free meal is just another shade of male privilege. They never have to do any real reflection, they see equality as something women have to put effort into and they just benefit from, and most importantly they get to paint themselves as the victims. Dude it's a date! She's not a money grubbing ho if she doesn't want to go through with your low ball effort. Let's not pretend it's about protecting people'…

He was in almost every way exactly like my ex, and for that reason alone I figured that he was also into secretly trying to upgrade.

Exactly, you know they are just looking at the titles/post pic then making their own assumptions and not looking into the actual conversations we're having because if they did they would see the extremely real difference between male incel subs and FDS.

This really is it though. I used to believe in the splitting thing until I actually got into long term relationships. At first I believed it to signal that I do want things to be equal. Equally split bills, chores, investment into the relationship blah blah blah. But the reality was that once a long term relationship started with a man that perfectly understood my position before moving in with each other; they would suddenly have a change of heart, and I would keep accumulating responsibilities…

As a mom raising a boy I want my son to learn these things too. Don't get in a co-dependent relationship where you're finances are entangled but you cannot support yourself individually, don't allow a partner to neg you, don't commit to people that have clearly huge red flags. It's just this advice is so practical for women because I'd how the patriarchy has maintained power for so long.

The worst are the men/women that call FDS toxic while simultaneously identifying as a feminist. Excuse me? You think there should be equality between the sexes, but you're unwilling to acknowledge that sexism in intimate relationships is also a part of the patriarchy? Maybe you're title is just paying lip service without having to put any real thought into the subject?

What's fucked up is that a lot of them aren't watching it for the incest but just because of the actual porn sex. But having it constantly put in front of them makes it normalized. So then when we hear how some pervert has a thing for teenage girls, the first thing that comes to their mind is, well I don't have a thing for teenage girls but that isn't so off-based is it? I don't have a thing for fucking my daughter/step-daughter but that isn't so weird is it? It normalizes it even for people tha…

For real, your post also highlights how misogyny is really cultural too. My dad is Muslim and conned my mom into marrying him for citizenship, then when she was going to bail before he could qualify he got her pregnant with me. Bailed as soon as he got his citizenship until I was 18, didn't give me any financial support. I have family but they all distance themselves from me unless its for some classic Desi bullying. But I'm light skinned, have a muslim name, and I'm passingly attractive... So a…

So great to see this trending. I recently found my great grandmothers blue topaz ring from the 70s and I've been wearing it more and more. It just reminds me to believe in myself more than anything else I've kept on me.

So this feels like a great time to add my story of my first boyfriend. I was such a 17 year old pickmeisha, and loved him so much that I kept going back for a few years even though he was a negging LVM. By 21 he decided that because I would continually come back everytime he broke my heart why not add cheating to the routine. But after I found out I fortunately decided enough was enough... Every once in a while he would text me to catch up on what we were doing until it finally came to a point t…

Everything you just wrote is what was flashing through my head as I started walking toward him. I never ended up saying anything for those exact reasons. It's a small town, and I had a dude like that target me a few years back. Made it impossible for me to go out and enjoy myself in public especially community events. What if he has a knife? What if he approaches me when I'm with my kid? It's good to know others understand why I didn't do enough.

I didn't sleep but I'm fine. I wrote this at 2 am hoping it would give me a cathartic release. But I still feel guilty like I should have told him off or chased after the woman and tried to comfort her, but I just made a complaint and left. I genuinely wish someone would study this breed of creep because I really can't understand how someone like that functions. Like if I could understand than maybe it wouldn't haunt me so much.

I was torn between going after her and trying to get him kicked out of the store. But I chose the latter... I did leave and wanted to say something, but she was pulling out of the parking lot by the time I made it out there. I froze in so many ways and instead of really helping I just gave her an opportunity to bolt. I hope that was enough I didn't sleep thinking about her.

WoC from the PNW. We have that yes, but we also have states with some of the strongest protections for women in the country. Just the fact that me and my son have the best insurance in the state and I can earn a modest living is enough to keep me here. Mansplaining happens everywhere. I've never experienced liberal elitism like I did living in Chicago. Also we practically invented passive aggressive so most of us dish it out pretty well.

I was dating a guy where we had a mutual time limit on the relationship. We were both seasonal employees just out of long term relationships and frankly sleeping alone felt really weird. There were a lot of great moments and memories of those three months but also it was really clear that it wouldn't make a good long term relationship for either of us for a plethora of reasons. At the end of the season he presented me with a whole album about our time together and it just perfectly said everythi…

For real. I'm not a 100% onboard everything that gets posted here, but I'm here for the laughs and recalibration of my self worth. I seriously messed up my life being a pick-me girl, now I can laugh in solidarity with other women who have either done it as well and like me are moving on with their lives, or those who never fell into the same traps and have some great insights. Although after about six months of posting comments I'm wondering when I'll qualify for a flair... Would love to be able…
