It only makes financial sense if she made a good salary like 40,000$ or 50,000$ or more which would all go to daycare. If he makes 250k a year then it makes sense. If he makes like 100k a year and she made 20k then she’s a net burden on the family at that point as childcare likely runs 30k or so for 2-3 kids
