Why "white masculinity"? My gaming friends are all mixed ethnicities. In fact the majority of the gaming communities I've ever been a part of have never been predominantly white. It's always been "are you horrible at the game? Are you a piece of shit? If you answered 'no' to both questions then welcome to the community." I hate the demonizing of "whiteness", there's nothing wrong with being a person of any skintone. Assholeness is entirely individualized.

I have kids that age, I can't imagine someone abusing them like that. I honestly believe there is a time and place for capital punishment, and this is a pretty cut and dry example.

I'm not a particularly violent person, but let that Dad into a closed room with those two for a couple of hours with zero repercussions. And then send them to jail. If they survive. Maybe even do that every couple of months, until they don't survive.

Sorry, my misunderstanding. From my limited understanding, I still think the court wants to have oversight. In theory, the aim is to ensure that children are properly provided for and, if both parents are fit, that children should have a relationship with them.
