I think you are on to something. In the 1800s a woman who tried stuff modern women do would find herself homeless and an example for other women. TBH, I think part of why I put up with it is the fear of how much worse women are today vs 2001. This is so true. My wife was happy when she drug the family to Disneyland to let Mickey violate my wallet every weekend. Exactly! We live in a small town, my son and I are totally happy playing games or other hobbies after work. My wife gets pissed we are happy and tells us it’s not god enough for her. She “needs” tourist trap stuff to drag us to keep herself entertained. Heaven knows she couldn’t be expected to get a hobby. My son already says he never wants to get married...I have pointed out if he wants female companionship to just have a girlfriend. At least he can send her home if she starts nagging.

This. I took a stable job in the south, and l love it. My wife? Literally a stream of complaints that new city isn’t SoCal, that there isn’t enough “fancy stuff” to do, and there aren’t enough “pretty things” to look at. More men need to not play into divorce rape. Walk away from the job, blow savings and investments in Vegas (hide savings). Too many women see their friends win the divorce lottery and think they can game the system. I've seen clusters of divorces after one woman takes her ex to the cleaners. Yeah, the judge can threaten jail, but that costs the state money. They can't jail every guy whose wife tries to divorce rape him and he goes right to the scorched earth response.
