This has literally nothing to do with her question

I'm one of those deeply religious people who want kids you describe. My longest relationship was with an atheist who wasn't sure if he would want to be a dad. Despite having a strong sex drive and having been with many other women before me, he was willing to wait for marriage. Ultimately I became more rooted in my religion and we decided it would be best to go our separate ways. The men are out there and it is possible.

This may sound kind of weird, but if he has more than one pic of himself not wearing a shirt in a situation which he could reasonably be wearing a shirt. Guys who are vain just aren't attractive to me. It speaks of an ego need than I don't want to fill, I guess...

I definitely wasn't suggesting anything of the sort! This was taken out of context. Obviously we can change how we are perceived by others without it changing who we are inside. Of course being a good person and having hobbies is good, but that doesn't seem to be her issue. u/palealien00, I hope you didn't feel as though I was being judgemental based on your priorities, although I can definitely see how it might have been so I apologize.

Well in all honestly I think the concept of the personality is a social construct. It sounds like redpill is not high on your priority list right now.

While those are great reasonsings, I would argue she does not owe anyone an explanation as for why she wants to wait, and in fact I think saying "because I want it that way" is sometimes the best thing you can say. It leaves no room for argument.

I have this same problem at times. In these cases, I have to ask myself, "What do I want more, the benefits that come from being a feminine woman, or my own 'individualism'?"

I want to marry a virgin. I know lots of other women who want that too, even when they themselves have high n counts.

When it comes to celibacy and porn, being celibate by choice if different than being celibate involuntarily. I've found the men who want to remain celibate until marriage tend to also avoid porn.

I so agree. I would prefer to marry a virgin, and it's a big draw in if I find someone who is. If I meet a man who has a higher n-count, I could proceed with caution but if it was extremely high I would be very on edge. I dated a man who was older and did not convert to Christianity until a year or so before we began dating, and he refused to let me know his n count. It worried me for sure. Like what else is he hiding?

Are you into reading? I read Fascinating Womanhood and it totally made me realize my entire life I had felt pressured into suppressing my femininity, and put me on the path to where I am now. Here's a link to the 1920's version. It's dated but honestly a work of genius. https://iiif.lib.harvard.edu/manifests/view/drs:2573605$313i

You've got to remember that men have a VERY different perception of sexy than women do. Women put sexy into one box, being skinny/fit, sharp angular features, and more mature looking. Men aren't that way. They perceive sexiness as 1) signs of physical health (NOT only just skinny or fit, although that is one thing) and 2) confidence. I think it would make you more confident and sexier in a man's eyes to embrace what you already have, instead of trying to change to the opposite end of the spectru…

You seem like a wonderful girl as well and fully deserving of the wonderful relationship. I understand going through trauma, and it is so hard to train the brain to respond to logic but the fact is you are very worthy <3

This is not hypergamy. This is polyamory. Hypergamy is when someone marries another person of a higher socio-economic background than themselves.

Honestly, what is actually going to be the thing to "curse" a future marriage is not talking about this. If you haven't brought up how much distress your past causes you to your fiance, you need to, else go through emotional turmoil that a relationship would be hard-pressed to survive. It can be daunting to bring it up with a partner, so perhaps you could go to a counselor first who specializes in relationships, and later bring your fiance in for a session together. Couples counseling is somethi…

What if I feel like despite RWP application to the best of my ability I am either going to be single or must choose to put up with a loser? It seems I'm having trouble finding men who will put effort into a relationship, or expect me to do everything.

Consequences that feel natural. 1.) You get a little upset, and let him know you are. The key with that is to express your anger quickly and the moment you feel it, then let it go as soon as you've expressed yourself. Think of how little kids express their anger. It's kinda cute. 2.) If he forgets, you are too busy now to wait for him. You don't wait for him, you make other plans with other people or do something by yourself. He doesn't show up to the restaurant? Brunch with yourself and go shop…

OP, I think flattery would go a long way in this case. Emphasizing how he is a big strong man and needs so much more meat and protein than little kids to maintain his muscle mass I think would do wonders. I would even say this in front of the kids, and give his muscles a squeeze. There's nothing wrong with laying it on thick. I think if you put the facts in a very feminine way, and emphasize what a man he is, he is more likely to feel good about something that would otherwise be very touchy. If …

You're going to have to start enforcing consequences. Not ultimatums (i.e. "You remember our dates or else!") but rather consequences. Of course first you'd need to open up and be a little vulnerable (i.e. "When you forget our dates it makes me feel like you don't value us," or whatever it is for you) and then set your boundaries. You: "Let's go to brunch this weekend!" Him: "Sure!" You: "Saturday at 10am?" "Him: "Sure!" You: "Ok, are we set in stone then? Cuz if not I will do some other fun act…

I read Fascinating Womanhood, the 1920's/1970's version. But I wouldn't plan on recommending that book to your wife unless you also plan on reading Man of Steel and Velvet, otherwise it could come off as douchey.

So I don't think I have all the answers, but you just seem so cute and like a gem!xx I feel like you are a long lost sister (: I'd recommend just doing a little research on dating/relationships to suit your needs, because it's a jungle out there babey! The best in my eyes is itsyourtechnique.com, I'd also recommend looking into John Van Epp's Relationship Attachment Model (genius!), and I think you personally would loveee this book https://iiif.lib.harvard.edu/manifests/view/drs:2573605$11i it's…

Absolutely. I actually tried my own advice yesterday and got a 100% response rate, & from guys I thought were gorgeous. Before when I've done it I've made some good connections, they just happened to live too far from me. I think guys are attracted to girls who seem like they are fun &flirty. And PS, you could totally try the same pickup line for today's date, 11/10

You could always lead with a cheesey pick up line. Idk why, but all the guys I've used one on have thought it was so funny. "Are you today's date? Because you are 10/10."

Sound advice. I agree, I stress myself out about the situation before it ever happens. I definitely think this post can come off as naive, but it's not like I've never dated guys I've been interested in before. However, all the times I've dated someone I've been really into it's been a blind date, or we met online or thru work, and I didn't have time to stress myself out. It's meeting people in person. Social anxiety plays a role, I think. Any advice for someone who has troubles meeting someone …

Two possibilities, both as likely and maybe intertwined: If there was physical intimacy involved, there's an answer. Another is ego boost. Dating a beautiful girl who has standards higher than him.

Hm, my problem seems to be I need to branch out more socially. I am trying to get thru a bout of social anxiety atm but don't have tons of friends. Need to work on this. Also...what kind of affirmations? What do you mean?

Recently I was journaling about my relationships over the past year or two, (having a pity party) and was puzzled as to why, when I have been doing my best to practice healthy relationship skills, all of these relationships blew up in my face. Then I realized something: If I am practicing healthy relationship skills and these guys are not responding in a like manner, they are not emotionally healthy guys. Good riddance. While OP didn't give really any info, it sounds like you had good intentions…

There is a book called How to avoid falling in love with a jerk by Van Epp. It gives a great way to respond to someone who you have already slept with when you feel you need to take a step back and not sleep with them for the health of the relationship. Maybe hes not a jerk but it is a great guide

OP I don't really get all the flack you're getting. I read the tl;dr first and was kinda like oh wow but when I read it through all the way I was very touched...it is so rare to find a love story like this. Very tender and almost brought a tear to my eye. I would love to have a relationship like this. I think everyone would. That being said, I think you're 100% doing things the right way. Letting him take the lead in every instance is a very empowering and confidence building experience for a ma…

A good deal of my relationships have ended due to in large part to substance (ab)use. I like a man who is in control and good at handling it. I don't like men who voluntarily throw away control, especially of themselves.

I dated a guy who lied to me about his age...he saw no issue with starting a relationship with a lie. There were soooooo many issues that came up after that. Abusers and manipulators tend to be very charming especially at first, that's the only way they can get people to stick around. He's already crossing a boundary that you had, especially as you yourself said you would not have dated him had he not lied about his age.

Honestly it seems like he knew you were going to cut the cord so he wanted to lessen the blow for his ego and act like he was the one that initiated a break up. And yeah, if he expects you to waste more time out of your life to give him his keys back...well, couldn't be me. What did you say to him when he sent that passive aggressive message? This actually happened a couple times to me. The first time in the middle of a perfectly fine phone call my bf just snapped and told me to fxck off. I hung…

I dont know why my reply was deleted, but I feel for you so much. I had a dating situation super similar to this without a ton of closure. And honestly. I disagree with the. omments critiquing how you handled things. I think you handled it PERFECTLY. He needs to appreciate the effort that you have put in and realize if he is going to play the douche you are not going to roll over and take it like a doormat. Girl, forget him getting his key back. I am super religious and thought that the guys outside of religion would not be open to a relationship without sex before marriage. In fact, I used to try and turn down guys by basically telling them I'm super prude and hoping they would go away themselves. Not so. It literally has never happened that someone was unwilling to date me or be in a relationship with me for that reason. Ever. My longest relationship was with a guy who was a staunch atheist and had lots of prior partners and he never …
