He’ll have to sit and listen quietly about why I want him out first!

Mine used the remainder of our savings to fly across the world to cheat. Next. Level.

My husband once told me he had never done anything with his life because he was too busy trying to keep me happy. So I left him. Now I’m much happier.

I’m so sorry for you too!! Big love to you. I’ve actually never been better. Awaiting news on a new job, gorgeous new partner who brings me flowers, new friends! I wish all the good things for you too xx

My marriage counsellor suggested I have more sex with my (now ex) husband of 15 years - you know, to keep him happy. Turns out he was cheating on me for years. So gross.

He was trying to be funny. I didn’t laugh...

I thought I did. We were married for 15 years & he cheated on me. So I guess my answer is no... & I have no idea what true love is anymore.

This makes me so happy. I’m almost 40 and only now starting to not accept the shitty behaviour I’ve accepted for far too long. Proud of you xx

Recently did the same thing but think I may have taken up with another LVM without missing a beat. Why am I like this?!!

This is too real. Magically my libido came back after I left him.

Shit! I do like him a lot. I think I’ve scared myself a little by how quickly I’ve fallen for him.

We’ve discussed the logistics but it really doesn’t seem to bother him. He works in a demanding role as a paramedic & I run my own business so am super flexible. He’s very sweet & always messages me as soon as I leave saying how much he’s enjoyed my company and to have a safe drive home. He will also always message to check I’ve arrived safely.

This is where it gets trickier! I have a 14 year old at home who I will not introduce to any man I’m dating. It’s way too soon. Plus I live in a small town where we could potential bump into my gross ex. I quite enjoy the break going to see him & him coming to me isn’t ideal. I would like to see him attempt to make the effort though!!

I totally get that & this is definitely the plan moving forward. I found out my husband was cheating on me in July (we were together for 18 years) & have really just been enjoying whatever crazy, fun, unexpected things have come my way. It’s all new to me!

This is all very useful advice. Thank you!! Thankfully I’m in Australia/travelling within Australia so all is good from a safety perspective. There’s definitely nothing in particular that scares me about him. There’s literally no way I could afford a holiday on my own right now so it is pretty exciting!! I am totally going to book alternative accommodation just incase too. Excellent tip!!

Great point - I do really want to go, I’m super excited to get away from my regular life for a week but concerned about the potential for it all to fall apart. Looks like I have some stuff to figure out.

Honestly, I have no idea how I ended up here. It all happened so fast!! I think you may be right that he things he “has” me. I could take it or leave it at this point. I’m totally going to pull back & just see what happens. Definitely going in with low expectations. With some of the shitty stuff I’ve been dealing with personally lately I do really like the idea of getting away for a week.

This is literally the exact opposite of my recent experience. He’s lost. I’m thriving.

Thanks so much! Desperation does not look cute on him that’s for sure. High five happily received 😄

Bahahaha!!! So did I! Then circulated it through messages with my girlfriends & has a good belly laugh.

I had to text him about other stuff after this - we still have to co-parent but it did feel great to ignore!!

Funnily enough I’ve lost 40 kilos in the past year & am the same size I was when we met 18 years ago. Absolutely amazing feeling. All of it!!

Thanks so much. I am too. It’s been quicker and more fulfilling than I ever could have imagined.

I literally feel 20 again - full disclosure, I’m not 20 😉
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/11/19 09:31 PM

Haaaaa!! I just roll my eyes at him. So gross. I do actually feel like the young & vivacious woman I was before we met almost 20 years ago. He can’t stand it.

So not sad ☺️
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/11/19 09:28 PM

I don’t think he realises how often I’m being complimented elsewhere & thought this would get me. Noooooope.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/11/19 09:28 PM
13

Unfortunately we have to continue to co-parent but there’s just nothing there for me anymore. He’s just a sad & broken man I sometimes have to deal with.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/11/19 09:27 PM
15

Oh he totally is. There’s no way. I literally feel nothing, for him. My loving is directed elsewhere.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/11/19 09:11 PM

I’m getting more than my ego stroked elsewhere 😂

Yeeeeeah. Didn’t work. Didn’t work at all.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/11/19 12:33 PM

You got this. Scariest & best thing I ever did. I didn’t know who I was without him. Turns out I’m fun as hell 😆

He is. It’s his path now.
